Suikazura was not exactly sure how this mission would function. She had no reason to complain though, it was simple sparring with fellow soldiers of Iwagakure. The faith of light itself, as far as she understood. Hikari was a god that even the Lady Tsuchikage worshipped strongly, making the ties to the religious core of fighters possible due to their relationship with her village’s leader. It should have been alright enough, except for the outside factors besides her teammate and Sensei, it seemed to have been a rather simple mission. Ryoko was a bundle of chaotic energy and meshed improperly on a frequent basis with Suikazura, but was a reliable ally for the young girl to claim. Yoshiko had proven from her sheer volume of skill in the past to have been a powerhouse of a team leader, which left her. Suikazura did not see herself as the strongest physically, but she did her best.
Carrying her staff in one arm she would make her way to the gate of town, from there she was meant to meet with her teammate and leader, going off to have an adventure all their own. Fixing her headband again in place to her neck. She still was not used to the training outfit she had gotten for herself since ruining her training clothes. The mesh and shorts were an uncomfortable show of skin comparatively to her normal, more modest combat attire. It wasn’t something she wanted to bother her too much though. It was a good start to not ruin the nice clothes she owned.
Arriving at the gate in a short time, Suika would take a post on one side of the gate and await her team. She was far earlier than she had needed to be, but it would be fine all the same. Waiting would take a while though, it was, however, something she chose to do willingly. After all, it was better to start early than to start late.

It was another typical day in the land of earth, if slightly overcast. A thin wisp of clouds coated the sky in a patchwork blanket of haze, that allowed for a lovely shade on the ground. Ryo was in high spirits as she traveled, humming to herself as she paced her way merrily along the road. It was a thrill to get out of the village again, far to much of her time having been spent stuck behind them.

She hated being cooped up like that, and yearned for the freedom to explore on her own. At the very least she wanted more missions that got her out in the field. The last one was very interesting. The Doomstar floated along behind her, ever attached to a pair of unseen strings. The blood had been washed away, but she still thought about the bandit she killed when laying in bed at night.

As she approaches the destination she’d spy Suika off in the distance, and her smile would grow brighter. She was thrilled to know the girl had some skill, enough to beat her up even. She had been restrained in their spar, and as she ponders back to it the doomblade gives a quick spin behind her. Fights were different when she could unleash hell.

"Suika-chan!

Ryo calls out cheerfully from a bit of a distance, jogging the last several meters between them to close it faster. She stops and gives her partner a little bow of her shoulders, and then a wave.

"You’re early. Is our Sensei here yet?

Ryo wasn’t as early, but she also wasn’t on time. She’d arrive about 15 minutes early, as was propper.

Sayua was not sorry to leave the walls of the hospital behind. Goodbye to the stuffy noses, scrapes, bruises, and mountains of forms to fill out. She had always longed to be free of the medical corps and to pursue the adventure of being on a shinobi team, and she was finally getting her chance. She waited at the meeting point very early, reading over her scroll time and time again to memorize the names of her teammates and sensei.

Some distance away from the gate she watched people come and go, enjoying the relative coolness provided by the shady clouds above. Her only misfortune on this day was her shyness when it came to introductions, and though she saw several kunoichi near the gates from time to time she feared making a fool of herself if she made an introduction to the wrong people. Instead she adjusted her battle-rattle over and over again.

Her getup was almost… overdone. On the small of her back was a reel of ninja wire, with the tip of the wire drawn out and fastened to a small loop on the back of an arrow that rested on a small hooked spot on a bulky arm guard on her left side. On her chest she wore a thin plate of metal over her white garb. She pulled at the wire on the arrow, making sure that it had the right amount of slack over and over to distract herself from trying to guess who her teammates were. Then she heard a name being called out - "Suika”.

She grabbed her scroll and looked at it again, even though she had already memorized the name. Smiling as the paper confirmed things, she moved out of her hiding place and started making her way slowly towards the girl that had ran towards the other.

She wanted to reach out to introduce herself, but the anchors of modesty made her stomach sink as she moved closer to her fellow kunoichi. Instead of finding words she stood awkwardly before the others, unable to find her courage to speak.

Yoshiko knew this mission wasn't one she was as much participating within as merely guiding her team too. It lacked a real 'risk' factor, as far as the kunoichi was concerned. They were traversing a good distance and there was always dangers in this world. So more so out of a respect to keeping an appearance of their sensei, the Nohime would arrive in her typical shinobi attire. Her chunnin vest under ornate dress, it's presence just visible at the upper chest at the open v-neck of her dress.

This outfit was rather long going down most of the way to her ankles, but splitting into three parts to not hinder her movement. Instead just cover the necessities, but still split to reveal her legs. Her right upper thigh showing off her headband, as well as a second Iwagakure headband which looked far more weathered and old. She had fishnet stockings which went up most her leg from her feet, but over them were trim steel boots. Matching her boots she wore steel bracers, a summoning seal upon each. Around her waist a tightly bound sash similarly with seals upon it, as well two shinobi pouches for equipment. It'd ribbon behind her rather ornately.

As usual the Special Jounin would arrive with a bright smile and pep in her step. She had all the more reason to be happy and proud today, as her whole team had managed to arrive early. No waiting and perhaps no introductions necessary? She could see them altogether and could only guess whether or not they'd conversed already. "Good morning team! I can see we're all early for today's assignment. So, how're we all this fine day? Excited and ready as I am for the journey to Kuwana?!" She'd speak in a boisterous tone and plant her hands on her hips. Striking a pose to show her pride with a raised chin and puffed up chest.

She didn't even realize that their third member just arrived without introduction. So perhaps to the other two there'd be confusion, but the Nohime had already learned about the new teammate. Seen the photo's as well as them in passing at the hospital. She had a pretty good if not a little strange relation to the villages head medic after all. Not knowing though she made the mistake of blindly assuming the others had already met up and been talking.

The one she had expected to be last was the next to join. Ryoko, cheerful as ever, her... what did she call it? Death Star? Resting in the air behind the girl, Suikazura would give a sigh and a bow, "Ryoko-Chan. I'm surprised you came so early, but no Yoshiko-Sensei has not arrived.... Oh wait, no she's coming now." Suikazura would say pointing the the older kunoichi as she came down the street. She would lean what could be considered a uncomfortable angle on her staff, giving an appearance like the was leaning on a ledge, all before her sensei would come close enough to address the group.
Bowing quietly in greeting as her sensei spoke before replying, after awaiting Ryoko's assured quick response, "Today is a wonderful day for travel Sensei. I'm ready to travel whenever you are." Sh would say calmly. Her staff twirled slowly before resting her arms across the staff and leaning her neck back onto the well kept wood. She would turn outwards her eyes on her established team. She had not realized that previously a new team member had showed herself to the two girls as Suikazura was deadly prone to ignoring those that had little to no presence. Ryoko had done the same many a time now, even landing on her shoulder a few times as a bird only to be ignored.

"A good shinobi always arrives right when she should.” her smile shifting into a somewhat lopsided, but amused, smirk. "Those who aren’t good at timing usually arrive late. Or early, to hedge their bets.

She turns on a heel and looks towards Sayua, though she had no idea who she was. Yoshiko was coming up behind her, so she flashes the girl a toothy smile, then looks past her towards Yoshi. She gives her sensei a deeper bow, bending at the waist but not being to dramatic about.

"Sensei”, she notes in a cheerful, but somewhat flat voice. Afterwards she shifts her attention back to Sayua.

A stranger in their midst, looking like she belongs. She was clearly already a part of, or trying to make herself, a part of their little group. Her head tips to the side, the big glossy buttons on her hood staring like shiny black eyes. The large shuriken continues to float behind her, as though suspended in plain air.

After a moment of staring she utters a few words, her voice holding a bit of a sarcastic edge. It could even be called judgmental, perhaps even rude. It was simply her nature. The mask gave such a lovely feeling of invincible anonymity.

"Who’re you s’posed to be?

Following her arrival came Yoshiko Nohime, her new sensei. She beamed through the shadow of Sayua’s awkwardness and quickly became the beacon of attention for the other kunoichi. The first of which seemed oblivious to her presence, the other occasionally glancing at her with guarded eyes.

Yoshiko’s question was quickly answered by a kunoichi who seemed oblivious to her presence, while the less enthusiastic one answered quickly and dryly, before bringing the attention back to Sayua. Her blunt tone made Sayua feel as if a spotlight had been pointed at her.

"I-Iwai Sayua,”
she stammered out, fixing a lock of hair out of her face as she introduced herself. After blurting out her first words an inkling of confidence returned to her. It was only now she realized she was a bit older than the other genin, and she found herself bending down a bit to come to eye level with the masked girl. "You must be Ryoko,” she said with a soft smile. "I’ll be helping out, for awhile…”

She hoped for a very long while. Hospital walls were boring, and she’d be all the merrier if she stayed on Team 3 indefinitely. Suddenly she remembered that her new sensei had addressed her as well.

"Oh! Yes sensei, I am prepared,”
she said giving Yoshiko a formal bow. She hoped that her own words would hold true.

A smile bright as ever on the kunoichi's face, she'd give a slight bow of her head to each of her students as they'd address her. She didn't want to impede on any conversation that might of been drifting off, so she was silent for their initial banter. It'd however clue her in very quickly that the group hadn't formally met Sayua who was now just introducing herself. A slight blush coming to the Nohime's face, as she'd realize that was probably in part her fault.

"I guess you guys haven't been waiting for me too long, that's good to say the least and... uh, very humble introduction Sayua. Though you're a member of team three now, we'll all be helping each other from here on out, okay?!" Yoshiko would explain giving the girl a thumbs up to feel more confident in herself. She didn't want to think this newbie wasn't welcome, it wasn't like the team had been formed that long ago. They'd sort of had rotating third role too, so it was hopefully the last of that. The Nohime wanted a concrete team to call her own.

"I'm glad to see we're all ready too, I'm liking this teams initiative."
Yoshiko would clench fists in excitement slightly bobbing up and down in short quick bursts. She had something planned that only Ryoko would possibly be able to understand, as two men from her clan would waddle into sight carrying a rowboat? They'd place the boat down behind their clan leader with a slightly look of annoyance having to tote the wooden construct all the way to the front gate. It'd be a boat large enough to comfortable sit all four shinobi.

"Seeing as we're hyped to go I was thinking the talking the road to Kuwana since it shoots down that way and loops back would be long. So, I'm figuring we can just sail straight that way and cut the time in half. It'd also conserve your guys energy for the spars too." Yoshiko would explain as she'd climb into the boat and sit at the back. She'd wave the team to join her onto the boat. "Come on team, all aboard the S.S.Nohime!" Yoshiko would state with a joyous laugh. As she'd possibly look crazy to all three, but certainly to Suika and Sayua. The brunette sitting in a boat on land in the middle of a mountain range and no water till they basically reach Kuwana.

Ah, a fourth member had been in the midst of her periphery. Someoneone she had not noticed due to her own oblivious nature to strangers she supposed, it would be fine either way. What was more interesting to her had been the boat she watched get carried by those whom were very obviously members, or likely servants, of the main Nohime household. Something Suikazura wasn't entirely sure on, but as her teacher would step into the boat she figured she would trust her Sensei in her judgement of stepping into the boat what other choice did the girl have anyways, it was an order from the whimsical kunoichi she had been placed under. Yoshiko made the rules, and Suikazura would follow quietly and quickly. Sitting at the tip parallel to the Nohime's leader.
Before sitting though she would bow to her senior genin Sayua, recognizing the girl as older than her, closer to her Sensei in age. It was a rather quant point, but Suika would speak, "It is nice to meet you Iwai-Senpai, welcome to the team."
Sitting she would look directly to her sensei, her staff sitting along the edge of the boat itself as to make sure it consumed little to no space.

"Nice to meet you. You can call me Ryo if you want, I don’t mind.

A strange reply, perhaps. Ryoko was a strange girl, though. From condescending to friendly, she was certainly a wild card. She lifts a hand and gives Sayua a little wave. She keeps the hand up, her fingers dropping except the index. It guides her Doomstar carefully out from behind her and maneuvers it into it’s normal place over her shoulder. There her hand moves to brace the dangerous thing, and keep it from hurting her team mates.

She shifts her attention to Yoshiko, her eyes lighting with joy as she speaks. OF course, this would be hidden behind her hood, however her sudden excitement was easily noticed by everyone around her.

"All right!

She all but cheers as she turns for the boat, waiting for it to be presented before leaping happily into it. She takes a place near the back, and not just so she could set the big heavy cross of steel down. Once it’s secure on the ground, well away from others, she sits herself down on a seat and squee’s excitedly.

"Ohh this is gonna be so much fun. Where we going, who we gonna fight? Why we gonna spar, that’s no fun. I’m not good at sparring. Too dangerous, ya know? Big sharp Doomstar doesn't like playing with my friends.” She shifts her attention towards Suika for a moment, a little smirk on her lips. Suika knew how well Ryo sparred. Yoshi knew how effective she was in a real fight. She wasn’t looking to spill more blood… but it was indeed what her family did best.

Her attention drifts back to Yoshi for a moment, but would eventually come to settle on Sayua. She’d watch the new girl, curious about what she did. She was sure to find out if they were going on a mission, but she’d have to make a point to really get to know her later.

The situation had gotten nonsensical. Her sensei and the other kunoichi were climbing aboard a wooden rowboat in the middle of a landlocked mountain range. Were they going to use some sort of water jutsu to flood the valleys? She glanced at the two men who had carried them, her eyes begging for an answer to the perplexing choice of vehicle. They returned no gaze and she found no hint to the riddle.

Still things were not all bad. Yoshiko’s words had warmed her up a bit, and the other genin seemed to acknowledge her after that. She smiled and waved at each of them as they introduced themselves. When Ryoko asked where they were going she was ready to answer matter-of-factly.

"We are off to Kuana to spar with the followers of Hikari, it is a friendly spar that helps maintain our relationship with them,” Sayua replied.

Finally she approached the boat, where everyone else seemed to have gathered without question. Reluctantly, she sat down, but she couldn’t help herself. Curiosity had gotten the best of her. The question filled her mind until it overwhelmed her, and then it escaped her lips against her volition.

"So… about the boat?”

Stable Mind's

Yoshiko needed to be at the boats most rear point to best propel it. However the kunoichi didn't mind taking the back seat in her teams conversation as well. It wasn't like they weren't all that far apart in age, she'd feel a little weird acting too high and mighty around them flaunting rank. Instead the Tokubetsu Jounin expected to earn respect through displays of skill. She wanted her team to desire her assistance and coordination, it seemed more childish to demand than to earn. She'd earned everything else so far of her own ability and determination.

"I hear they're capable of matching shinobi and well armored usually, so I think your doomstar will be applicable for this mission Ryo-chan!" Yoshiko would add onto her other students answer, as to not take away from it, but merely do a little to uplift the other students spirit. She didn't want Iwai to think she couldn't answer simple questions and she also didn't want it to seem like she handed over the reigns either. Glancing off into the sky for a second, before Iwai would bring up the boat. Causing the Nohime to look it over slightly confused.

"Oh-uhmm... I'm sorry it's not more comfortable or stylish, it was just kind of something loose in the compound. I'll work on getting it better suited later." Yoshiko would explain assuming Iwai was dissatisfied with their ships craft, but at the same time the girl would execute a few hand signs. The first of which would extend an almost bubble of chakra infused air around them and the boat, it was overextending the jutsu's use, but she didn't think it'd matter much on this mission. This air was despite all around the boat and team completely unnoticeable to the eye and didn't change the air's feel either.

The second jutsu though would end with the Nohime slapping both hands upon her seat and thus the boat as a whole. It'd seem rather harmless and similar to the wind jutsu visually uneffective. At least there'd be no flashing show or puff of smoke, but instead there'd be a sudden shift of the boat. It'd rise off the ground and teeter slightly with the balancing of those upon it. "Alright, let's not rock the boat team!" Yoshiko would exclaim as the slow lift of the row boat would hasten more and more, as she'd reduce the weight of the object.

As they'd get higher so would the effect of the wind roaring around them, but despite it being far more drafty above the shinobi, it wouldn't seem to greatly effect anyone. The invisible bubble becoming more or less visible not through sight, but an effect of shifting wind current. The team would rise not just above the ground, but above the mountains and with one hand lifted from the boat Yoshiko would point out in the distance. "Our targets there, hold on tight!" She'd explain joyfully, as she was about to push this ship into hyper drive. It was also a serious warning as falling from this height was certain death.

Aiming her hand behind herself, Yoshiko would apply her thrust technique. The force of wind pushing backwards would send the airborne ship whooshing forward. Re-apply the technique again and again, she'd guide the ship across the air streams. A factor of the sky the brunette knew quite well from flying with the birds. Perhaps an exhilarating experience or maybe a horrifying one, it'd be like a roller coaster and similarly end relatively soon after it started. A distant spec among the mountains almost zoomed into, as the boat went from Iwagakure to the sky and now to Kuwana. Due to them being on a boat Yoshiko would ease them down into the river that traveled by Kuwana and float them into the dock for a safe landing.

Enter Rowboat!
NAME: Fuuton Suiryoku [Wind Release: Thrust]
RANK: D-rank
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Fuuton
HANDSEALS: Two
DESCRIPTION:
An incredibly weak fuuton technique which pushes the user with a burst of wind nature, this technique barely moves the light weight of Yoshiko, but when combined with the light weighted rock technique it allows Yoshiko to more or less move twice her pace in a sudden burst. This technique has the user chakra the chakra through their whole body and thus can be released from any location on the body.

NAME: Fūsen Ningen [Human Wind Bubble]
RANK: C-rank
CHAKRA USAGE: Low [Very Low to keep active]
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Fuuton
HANDSEALS: Ten
REQUIREMENTS: Chakra Control SA
DESCRIPTION:
After performing the a multitude of hand signs the user will user their chakra to condense the air around them. This condensation of air infused with wind chakra is extremely subtle, but those with sensory or a doujutsu, will see an almost bubble like shape of weak chakra around the user. This wind bubble prevents the effects of natural wind from moving Yoshiko, but more importantly allowed Yoshiko to cast D-rank Fuuton with the use of chakra control instead. While this bubble is around Yoshiko she's weaker to Katon and cannot cast her own Katon without lighting up in a ball of fire.

NAME: Doton: Keijugan no Jutsu [Earth Release: Light-Weight Rock Technique]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Doton
DESCRIPTION:
After performing the necessary hand seals, the user places their hand on an object or person and makes them, or whatever is inside of the object, several times lighter. This can be used on people, making their movements considerably faster for a period of time but makes their physical attacks that much more weaker. It can also be used to make the user or those they touch fly.

NAME: Doton: Chokeijugan no Jutsu [Earth Release: Super Light-Weight Rock Technique]
RANK: A
CHAKRA USAGE: Very High
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Doton
DESCRIPTION:
A more powerful version to the light-weight rock technique, after performing the necessary hand seals the user placest heir hand on an object or person and makes the mseveral dozens of times lighter. This a hole mountain light enough to carry over one's head, but the chakra cost is massive.

Suikazura would simply take in the sights as they would take from the ground, not used to the thought of being off the ground as the boat rose from the ground. She would quickly find herself accustomed to anything her sensei could throw her way though, taking no small amount of effort as the older girl was simply non-sensical for the baker girl. She would most certainly not interupt the conversation as she had forsaken it for a more tranquil past time, after all, the world was vastly beautiful from the place the girl would find herself in. Looking down rather than up close in person, it was an entirely new kind of experience, but she gladly welcomed this as something she could fondly look forward to.
At her sensei's warning Suikazura would catch heed immediately, locking her staff between her legs and gripping the overhang on the sides of the boat. Holding for all that she had as the speed tried to throw her, the lurching of the boat front making it a awkward space for this particular portion of their venture. As they would reach the river she would release a sigh, her composure fixed in a instant, aloof to her teammates reactions, as she would simply grab her staff and go back to quietly enjoying the scenery. Lost in her own thoughts longer than she was attentive to those around her.

Ryo’s excitement builds quickly as she slides to one side on the bench. She grips the gunwale and smiles brighter. As the boat finally gets moving she releases an audible "Eeeeee” of glee. She couldn’t be happier than in a moment like this. She had her own way to fly, so she had no fear of falling. She’d soared high under her own power, and once even from this very jutsu.

As it soars ever skyward she is constantly, if carefully, threatening the balance of the boat. She moves from side to side, trying to take in the totality of the vista around her. She’d been high above the village, soared up to the clouds with bird wings, but she never left the village with her jutsu. Finally she was getting to fly over new terrain, over new scenery, over places she had never been or seen before. This was life. This was why she wore the headband. This.. and to fight for the glory of Iwa.

"Oh wow, look at the lake! I didn’t even know that was here. I know the river, though. This is so great!

She continues to gush mindlessly as she takes in the scenery, only beginning to calm down as they near the end of their voyage. She wasn’t lost to the world, she’d try to strike up friendly banter with her teammates about how cool it was to fly, bue she’d keep on talking whether they wished too or not.

Over all their trip would be mostly uneventful, but as the wind blustered around them, something odd would happen. The wind would catch her hood, and pull it off her head. She squeaks with surprise, and wheels around to try to grab it. The boat rocks a little as she all but tumbles over a seat, but away it went. Caught by the gale it’d slip far past her grip. No worries though. She sticks out a pair of fingers and quickly seizes it from a distance.

She draws it back to her, for a moment allowing her squad to see her face. She doesn’t seem as bothered by that, though, as she does with losing the hood. It was precious to her, a piece of her by now, and one of her most beloved costumes. Once it eerily hovers back to her outstretched hand she quickly pulls it back on, grinning a little sheepishly. After that she’d calm down and sit more still, but by then they’d only have been a pair of minutes from the river.

The people they were fighting would be formidable opponents for a shinobi. For the few moments she had to think about it she found it humbling. Perhaps shinobi were not the end all be all of power in the world after all.

Sayua cocked her head as her sensei began apologizing for the accommodations of the boat. She began to stammer something but then Yoshiko began performing jutsu near the back of it. She fixed the position of her head and sat back, still not getting the program. Gradually she began to feel butterflies in her stomach, and then Suika staring off to the side and the way her hair dangled caught her attention.

"Oh!”
At that moment she realized they were ascending, and things were starting to go faster. She closed her eyes as a spell of vertigo overcame her. It wasn’t long after this the boat began to thrust forward, and she exhaled and lost all of her breath.

It took her a few moments of panting to regain her composure and center herself. She didn’t think that she had a fear of heights. She had repelled down mountains in the past after all, but she had usually had to give herself a pep talk beforehand. She tried to ignore the discomfort in her stomach and looked down at Ryoko’s beckon. "Heh… yeah… pretty…”

She dared herself to look down and took a deep breath as she looked down at the lake. She shook a bit as she peered down, but eventually was able to appreciate the serene view. As the vessel eased down towards the water she focused her gaze onto the floor of the boat. As it hit the water a bit of spray splashed her hair.

She cleared her throat and fixed her hair a bit, then looked forward at the docks ahead of them. She struggled to find words, afraid that her anxiety would show through even more.
