Being a major cog to build the relationship between Takigakure and Kirigakure, it was a rather easy shoe-in for Kuni to re-establish a connection and a bond with Amegakure. Takigakure itself is a rather isolationist village. Proactive alliance building is essential for Takigakure, especially since the real village has avoided detection from the world since its creation. The fake ¿Takigakure?, as far as the world is concerned is the real village and it was favorable to everyone that it was kept that way. At the false village, the Mikatakujira apprentice was hard at work to gather needed medical utilities, medicine, Bonchi no Kuni tailored Ration pills, and letters of good faith to deliver to Ameegakure, the Kunoichi spent day and night gathering prime quality material the village can spare to offer to one of their longest-standing allies. It ended up creating a very large travelers' pack and while Kunikunosaku herself didn't mind carrying a large back, a clansman saw it fit to seal the items in a well-sized scroll.

After proper addressing from the Lord himself, Kuni took the scroll and accompanying letter to begin her long journey to Arashi no Kuni. Unlike her fellow shinobi who would run around enemy territory, the kunoichi simply walked a straight line between the borders of two great adversaries. The Mikatakujira played it smart, hid her indicating village and clan marks while calmly heading to her destination. Despite her notable infamy in Bonchi no Kuni, no adversaries seemed to pay mind to her during her three-day journey. Arriving in Arashi no Kuni, Kuni finally allowed her headband and clan symbol to be unhidden by the threads as she finished her trek. Approaching the late afternoon of the fourth day, Kunikunosaku saw the lights of the Amegakure village, grinning as she was near her goal. Arriving at the tourism gates, Kunikunosaku handed the guard the letter detailing why a Takigakure shinobi was sent hundreds of miles to the village, after a brief equipment check and reading of the letter, the girl was pointed towards the Military gate and given a sigil to allow her entry to the next gate without another search.

"Almost there Kuni, just keep walking." The Kunoichi stated as she traversed down the bridge from the mainland to the village actual Military village just out enough on the lake for a security bridge to exist. Despite holding the given sigil, the Mikatakujira had no clue what awaited her past the second gate.

Jiongu | Earth Grudge Fear

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

Symbiotic Bond: Strong Mind, Strong Body
As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

Power of a God:
After a great time learning how to control Jiongu, Kunikunosaku has learned to store chakra in each of her threads so long as they continue to be attached to at least one of her hearts. This extra storage capacity allows the girl to amass greater amounts of chakra within herself, expanding her reserves beyond that of the normal shinobi her rank. As with many other abilities, this ability continues to grow as the girl does through the ranks and years.

Cursed Master:

As a reward for attaining a greater deal of control over her symbiotic relationship with Jiongu, Kunikunosaku acquired the keys to the gate of mastering her abilities. This new boon allows Kunikunosaku to double the impact of her EGF ninjutsu. In addition, a passive boon is the ability to completely negate Jiongu's manipulation to consume more hearts. These boons together allow Kuni to further manipulate Jiongu against its basic natures, improving her unique utilization. While still young and unrefined, the ability is expected to grow as their bond deepens to even further levels.

Medical Knowledge:

Being from Takigakure's prestigious clan medical clan, Kunikunosaku is also set to learn the human anatomy, biology, and Kinesthetics, While this knowledge DOES NOT give her access to Medical Ninjutsu Techniques, however, the knowledge does unlock abilities of precision to the human body with every attack. This knowledge grants field combat medic aid but nowhere near the degree of those actually trained in it.

He was an ant among men, a fallen apple with so many fresh ones still waiting to be plucked. He shifted uncomfortably between stances. Beginning with his hands deep within his jean pockets, nervously switching to being crossed over his chest and then swapping again to hand stiffly at his side. It was clear to those around him, he wasn’t comfortable with the opportunity he had been given. Sugita, however, was very grateful for the opportunity, though he consistently questioned his worth.

He still had so much more to prove. Sanosuke seemed to see something in the young Genin boy. What that was exactly Sugita couldn’t say. He wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or a bad one. It felt like by accepting these tasks over and over, Sugita was just setting himself up to fail. He hoped that wouldn’t be the case, but one never knew.

He’d already failed once.

Grey eyes kept focused on the gate, the silhouette of a woman approaching from the mist. He could make little out from the detail, but as her hair seemed to blend in seamlessly with the floating water droplets and grey sky save for the ribbon in her hair and piercing eyes as she approached.

Sugita took a deep breath, shaking off the air of nervousness he once had as he stepped forward, meeting her at the second gate, the main entrance to the village. He noted her village symbol. "You must be the representative from Takigakure. I am Kirigara Sugita. Lord Sanosuke has sent me to meet with you and welcome you to the village.” He paused with a slight bow at his head. Upon glancing up, he felt some of the nervousness approach again. Sugita knew her name, but was honestly a bit worried he might mess it up. He waited in the hopes that she would introduce herself so that he would be able to take in it, but if push came to shove, he'd just give it a shot and hope it was right.

Was she…taller than him?

He managed to push it down again.

"Your travel went smoothly, I hope?” He had not been quite so far from the village, and he wasn't sure of how dangerous or tiring the travel between Takigakure and Amegakure was.

Kunikunosaku saw waiting for her was a boy... rather, was it for her? The girl knew that this was to be expected, alas, she wasn't given more beyond a directive. The Mikatakujira honestly didn't mind it though, she wasn't too fond of doing these for missions, granted, the last time she was assigned a task to go to Mizu no Kuni, it cost her a heart. She was pissed about it and eventually, she got over it. She still isn't fond of remembering it. At least this time was more peaceful. As she approached the boy, the girl took notice of his grey eyes, well mostly grey from what she could see immediately. The overcast made his hair appear black and she wasn't sure if that was his natural color or it was dyed. Given who most people are, it was black, maybe there was dark blue hidden between the strands. Either way, he had a rather rounder face than she hasn't seen others have and it brought a small smile to her lips.

The boy greeted himself followed by the phrase that Lord Sanosuke sent him. Di-Did they change again, geez, short interim. Kunikunosaku thought as she shoved any talks of Lord Tatsuo out. She was here to deliver a lot of medical supplies, catered ration pills, and letters of good faith to Amegakure, the change of its rulers did not mean her goal was obliterated, it still had to go to Ame. It was an unexpected shift but the goal remained the same. Kuni didn't quite realize she was staring at the boy while the shift put her on pause, but eventually, she shook her head lightly. "Correct. I am Mikatakujira Kunikunosaku of Takigakure, Apprentice of the Mikatakujira clan, and here on the good faith of the second Lord, Lord Ryū." The girl spoke gently, before taking a small bow. Slowly coming back up, it was only natural she spoke again. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Sugita-san."

Hearing the boy out as he asked about her travels, a sly smile drew upon her face. "It was a rather pleasant walk, trust me, it's quite easy for me. Should anyone else be sent, they'd arrive roughly three more days later." Kunikunosaku stated as she brought up her hand, holding the sigil coin and reaching to hand it to Sugita. "I was informed at the first gates to give you this, something about not needing to be searched again. Guess this place is pretty locked down tight." The Kunoichi said with a faint chuckle as she handed him the rather large coin.

Kunikunosaku looked up at the sky to try to determine the time, the overcast above prevented her but it wasn't a big deal as her reddish-magenta-hued eyes looked back at his greys. "Do you mind showing me around? I kinda don't really know where to go with this thing." She made a small gesture to the scroll before locking her eyes back on him. "I was never given a time frame so honestly, wherever you go, I'll follow. Oh yeah, you can call me 'Kuni' if it's a mouthful to say, cause it is kinda a mouthful." With her piece being said, the girl idly twisted her body back and forth with a sort of higher-tiered grace than most. She didn't like being ridged, made her feel like a robot than a human, well, humanoid but technicalities are troublesome.

"Behave, Gingādo. She seems nice,” Sugita warned inwardly.

It was times like this that he was thankful that those around him could not hear their conversations. He knew it would be hard to explain to someone, and sometimes Gingādo and Gitai had…a way with words, so to speak. They were quick to judge at times, and often very opinionated. If they were allowed the voice openly, they would surely give Sugita a bad reputation even if he truly had nothing to do with what they did or did not say.

He bowed with her, staying longer if only a half second before returning his gaze. "It’s a pleasure to meet you as well, Kunikunosaku.”

"Wow. You didn’t butcher it. I’m impressed,” Gingādo again chimed from his resting place at Sugita’s back. At this rate, Sugita was tempted to just leave him behind somewhere, but he never left his Lifeblade anywhere despite how awkwardly large it was on his small frame.

"I’m glad to hear that,” Sugita said genuinely as he politely took the coin. "We do our due diligence to keep our people safe. I sometimes think it’s a bit of a chaotic system, but they wouldn’t do it this way for no reason.” He shrugged placing the coin in his pouch.

As the girl peered upward at the sky, for a moment he assumed she was looking at the ever-present clouds that hung low over their village, but…not it was different. "It’s about 11:30am,” Sugita said with a small laugh, his mouth parting as he smiled. "You learn to look at it a bit differently because of the overcast.”

He paused for a moment, as her eyes met his then looked away both quickly and shyly, covering it up as he rolled his neck and gripped it with his hand to work the muscle. His head snapped back quickly with her request. He blinked a few times as he thought though. "Heh. Kuni it is, then! Oh! Right, of course. Please, follow me,” Sugita gestured with a tilt of his head towards the Ame Lord’s building. There, he assumed, would be where she needed to go to deliver the scroll.

A few steps in, Sugita looked to her. "I’d assume you would be tired from your travels, as quick as you are or not. Would you like for me to carry that for you, at least until we reach the building?” He hoped he wasn’t offending her by offering. He was sure she was a strong individual, but his want to provide hospitality was something he learned from his mother. He’d never hear the end of it if he let her carry all that luggage by herself while they walked side by side.

The girl was happy to hear that the feeling mutual, most times it never was no matter how much respect she shows, especially in her village. He was winning in that avenue of showing respect, she was heavily considered a monster, and most were to be feared. More pleasantries were exchanged and he took the coin she gave to him. It honestly annoyed her, but certain things needed to be done in a certain way. It was a pretty bitter price that needed to be paid but it was needed for one reason or another. When the girl looked up at the sky to decipher the time, while she did fail herself, Sugita was quick to aid her. Earning him another smile from her, far more natural and genuine than most of her others were.

The Kunoichi wanted to ask if something was wrong when she looked back at him but after stating what was needed, he seemed extremely happy that there was a shorter version of her name. This led to him gesturing for her to follow him. Something to which the Taki nin nodded and started to keep a steady walk with him. He turned to her after a few steps and asked her the question pertaining to fatigue along with a kind offer. "That is a fair assumption, but you'll be surprised to hear that multi-day journey did not tire me. Yeah, took a few days, didn't help I decided to walk the borders of enemy countries but hey, I survived." Kunikunosaku stated with a very nonchalant shrug and a weak, small chuckle.

"But, I'd like it if you held the scroll for a bit." Kuni stretched her arms back before seemingly trying to pop her elbows. Nothing came of it but the girl knew that; she was trying to see if she can make an observation. She grabbed the scroll from her side to Sugita, "Careful not to break the seal, otherwise, that good-sized scroll will turn into three bags of medicine, medical equipment, and Bonchi no Kuni ration pills. They're a good source of food, packed with the tastes of an ally's culture." Kuni hoped he'd grab it with care, she purposely tried to hand it by a large portion to see if he'd just grab it or brush her hand.

The last time she was shown this much hospitality ever since her time with Wasurete. She wasn't sure if he was being nice or had an ulterior interest. "Hey... Sugita-san? May I ask where you got your manners? I enjoy how well-mannered you are and want to thank where you got them from?" Kuni started as an attempt at a compliment. The Mikatakujira thought of another thing to ask and followed up. "What do you do for fun here, Sugita-san?"

"My bad,” he said. He wasn’t sure how different their villages were, but even here he would have apologized for the unintentional contact.

The two started to walk, Sugita allowed his pace to be slow, but steady. He wanted the girl to see the views his village had to offer, though he was sure it wasn’t quite as beautiful as Takigakure. There was mostly metal scattered here and there, and muddied roads due to the ever-present rain. Regardless, there were still oddities here and there that only their village could be known for, and that was one of the reasons visiting a new land was so exciting.

Kuni’s question caught Sugita off guard. He paused to think, shifting the scroll in his arms carefully followed promptly by a modest shrug that seemingly said I'm not THAT well-mannered. "My mom, I guess? She kinda beats that into me, ya know?” Now that he thought about it, wasn’t she going to be at the Ame Lord’s building today to drop off her own mission papers? There was dread clearly written on his face as she habitually embarrassed him. He could only pray hard enough that their timing would be in his favor.

"I really try and do as much training and missions as I can,” he admitted, though a bit embarrassed at how boring it all might have sounded. "I uhhh made a promise to the Ame Lord…I plan to keep it.” He wouldn’t get into his past right now, not with someone he didn’t really know. It was the shame that brought him down. He’d given up in a past life, but things were different now. He had people to protect like Tsuri and Fruit. He had a team to train with and grow with. He couldn’t let anyone down…not again.

"I really enjoy just walking around, honestly. You never know what you’ll run into,” he smiled brightly. That was, after all, how he met Tsuri. He then quickly turned the question around, obviously eager at a response, "What about you? Your village must be beautiful. I've heard the forests are pretty thick though. I don't suppose you get many visitors."

The expression he had when she informed him of her travels was too cute not to look at. It did make her trip reason a tad difficult to focus on, just off of him, she placed Amegakure in a higher place to visit than Kirigakure, didn't help the fact she had a growing suspicion her "training partner" was getting annoyed of her. Probably. She couldn't really gauge much of his expression in response to letting him hold the scroll. She handed the scroll and as she said, the boy took great care of grabbing it. She felt a small graze of their hands and it, honestly, felt better than the times she held and hugged Wasurete. He still was a dick to put it lightly for burning what they had in favor of his clan, tossing her like a toy he got bored of. It made her mad and heartbroken but she wouldn't be able to do these kinds of trips having to constantly watch out for him and his dumb clan. Kuni grinned when he apologized and on instinct, Kuni's sole reply was "It's alright."

She smiled when he found fun in training and missions, her face did paint curiosity when he mentioned making a promise but she chose not to pry. She knew some restraint, kind of. Details about Ame discussed in Ame stay in Ame, though she supposed she should at least tell her lord leadership changed again. Aimless walking was his true joy it seemed and meeting new people. Kuni hummed slightly, "Guess you met me, assignment or not." Kunikunosaku stated in a warm yet rather monotone voice, a staple of being her, she supposed. His questioning about her village made her smile.

"Our entire country is like sweet and dry seasons than anything and with the beautiful waterfalls, you can guess we have a lot of marshes and really always in a wet season. We don't get much rain though, mostly a lot of humidity. Most get used to it. It's also hot. Really we have light forests and more jungle, that goes for foliage and fauna. We don't because of the climate and how dangerous our wildlife can be. If you're curious, I could ask the Lord if I could take and show you around. I'm much higher in rank than I look~" Kunikunosaku stated in a more light-hearted, even slightly flirtatious tone.

She wondered how receptive he'd be and she'll also need to make sure he can survive the jungle, much less the trip. The prospect of having a visitor in place of being the visitor really stood out to her, she enjoyed it more if it was for her rather than the village, well, the decoy one at least. She really had nothing to add to what she described, it was definitely a see-it-to-believe-it kinda thing. "Thank you, Sugita-san. For everything thus far. I'd love to talk to you more after I finish this delivery. Maybe then, we can have more freedom to talk and venture to your favorite places, this is by far the highlight of my trip and I'd wish we can keep this moment lasting."

Kuni took a moment to grab his upper arm to just keep him there so she could look at him better. Eyes made contact once more but this time, she smiled, faintly blushing, she didn't really know what was and wasn't acceptable. She always had to go out of her way to find affection or kindness, very few actually cared about her, and those that did, she didn't know how to interact with, it was rare in itself to interact with. But, she at least knew how to be more intimate. It was ultimately up to the boy with how'd he react and what he'll say, after all, she was the guest in all this.

The boy gave Kuni his full attention, his eyes sparkling a bit as she spoke about her village. It was much different than he had imagined. It honestly sounded lovely. He wondered what it must be like to live somewhere it didn’t rain almost all day, though how different was humidity and heat be? It was obviously a bit colder here due to the constant overcast. Sugita wondered if he would even be able to breath in an environment such as Taki’s. He imagined Kirigakure would feel closer to Takigakure than Amegakure would.

"It sounds very different,” he said matter-of-factly. "I’ve only visited Kirigakure. I have a trip to Yukigakure planned soon.” Sugita recalled his conversation with Asuka from Kirigakure. He hoped that he could be as hospitable to Kuni as Asuka had been to him. During his visit in the faraway village, they had discussed how exciting it would be to visit other villages. "Maybe I’ll just have to visit Takigakure.” With how tight the village was sometimes though, there had to be a good reason to go just as there had been a decent reason for Sugita to visit Kiri and Yuki.

Sugita was aware she was of Jounin rank, just from the information given from his assignment to escort her into the village. "Yea, I certainly didn’t think I’d meet someone so…” he paused, choosing his words more carefully, "…someone my age.” He laughed it off nervously, keeping his eyes straight forward as he walked.

The boy found himself increasingly interested in the politics between villages, something he wasn’t sure he would have ever been interested in until recently. He had Sanosuke to thank for that and for the opportunity, which is why he kept himself focused on his promise.

"You don’t have to thank me,” Sugita said shaking his head. He felt Kuni grab his upper arm. He looked over to her, his footsteps halting entirely. For a moment he stared blankly, subtle hints of red in her cheeks began to reflect in his own. Was this Taki’s way of showing gratitude? Normally, Sugita would have pulled away, but he strangely felt warm and even warmed by the presence. "I…I’d be happy to show you around, Kuni.” Sugita said with a warm smile, a slight tilt of his head as he did so. He shifted the scroll, wedging most of its weight to the side of his shoulder and then reached out, and patted the girl’s hand twice before taking hold of the scroll carefully again.

He must really like learning about my village, think we might have a new visitor soon! Kuni thought while she was explaining her home country with dashes of the decoy village to Sugita. It was good of the interest but there was a small problem, getting there. She didn't know how strong or what rank the kid was, the Mikatakujira was sure she'd find out soon but she'd need to again possibly discuss this idea with Lord Sanosuke. Hearing the boy's plans she cracked an idea, he'd probably be tired but it was also another idea needing her to confer.

When it came to rank, he wasn't expecting someone so high in rank to be about his age. Kuni was definitely flattered at the comment, she could attribute it to her rather hard-working ability or she could attribute it to the rather strict training Takigakure had, though it did make her wonder why one of her rare friends was still a Chūnin given her skill and line of work. No matter, it was a passing thought however, her attention was on Sugita right now. It was then she thanked him prior to reaching to hold him in place and take a moment to look at him.

He had a mirror reflection of her before saying he'd be happy to show her around. It made Kuni even more driven to complete her delivery. "Well then, let's hurry up and finish this delivery and spend more time together." The girl stated with an actual intonation of excitement in her voice.

He smiled brightly, "Yea! It shouldn’t take but a moment to drop it off, but feel free to take your time to discuss things if you need,” Sugita said genuinely.

As they approached the building, Sugita handed the scroll back to Kuni. She would need to present the gift. It was hers to present, and he wouldn’t dream of taking that right from her. "It’s probably best if I stay our here for now,” he mentioned. "The guards will probably want to escort you the rest of the way there yourself.” Sugita showed the guard the coin. They were likely already aware that she was going to make a presence, but he wanted there to be no doubts.

"When you get out, maybe we can grab a bite to eat or something? If you’re hungry…that is?” He laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck as his eyes strayed.

Was that even appropriate? He guessed it probably wasn’t but hoped that she would also not take offense by his sudden invite. To him though, nothing was worse than roaming around the village on an empty stomach.

She was joyous to hear once everything was said and done, they could definitely spend more time together. She was eager and finally looking forward to something, it's been a while since she truly had something to look forward to. They continued moving forward to the building she needed to go to, Kunikunosaku looked over to the boy as he handed the scroll to her. The boy had some words for her and even invited her out to eat. Um... that's a predicament... I guess I can like fake it... if he asks me how it tastes... well, fuck. She grabbed the scroll, winking at him with a smile. "Definitely! I'll be back, Sugita-san~" Kunikunosaku stated with a half excited, half flirtatious tone. He was playing the right cards, Kuni herself was just really difficult to partake in more mundane human and social activities. She, however, was willing to toss that reservation to feel, well, more human.

Taking the scroll and heading into the building, she looked back once more at Sugita, winking at him before heading in. Upon entrance, she was greeted by more guards who to her surprise, bowed to her, she returned the gesture. Silently, they gestured her to follow and without any qualms, the girl followed. It was a narrow passageway and they took her up upon stairs that spiraled upwards. Upon meeting the end, they entered a room that in all honesty looked like a study. She could make out a figure behind a desk but she only partially walked into the room. Taking a more militaristic bow, the Kunoichi presented the scroll. "Within the scroll, Takigakure sends their best wishes, three bags are enclosed. One yields medicine from the Tokonatsu and Mikatakujira clans. The next has ample medical supplies valuable in both hospitals and battle. The third is high-quality military ration pills made with ingredients found only in Bonchi, I express the village's gratitude and wishes to re-establish our nations close bonds." The Mikatakujira didn't see who took the scroll but after a few moments, she was dismissed with gratitudes of Amegakure. The girl rose and gave a formal bow before leaving the room and descending the stairway.

Back at the lobby, the Kunoichi spoke once more, "May I use the restroom? I need to change for the journey back." The Mikatakujira Apprentice was granted her request as she entered the marked room. Once the door closed, the girl clicked her tongue to cheek. "Jiongu, I need something that looks nice, mind helping?" Mind giving us a heart? "I gave you plenty and a replacement, it's your turn to help me out." She was met by silence before the black threads tore her current outfit apart, it took a moment for all the threads to restitch but once completed, what was left was a silk-like kimono. Black in the base with details of red flowers and gold lines forming her clan symbol on her back and the village symbol on her left shoulders. The Kunoichi gave a small spin as her hair was pulled up in a ceremonial like-bun. "Thank you, Jiongu." Hearts now! "Patience symbiotic friend." The girl finished as she suppressed his words once again as she left the building.

As he said, Sugita was waiting outside and Kunikunosaku smiled as she approached him. "Still hungry? I'd like to take up that invite!" She felt warm, she could feel her heart, well, hearts beating. She approached Sugita, a little closer than she was earlier with a soft smile on her face. Am I rushing?... Will he hurt me like Wasu?... I guess we'll find out. The Kunoichi reached out her hand, "If you may let me, I want to really get to know you, will you... let me in?"

[attr="class","sugita"]Sugita gave Kuni a wave as she headed into the building, disappearing behind heavily guarded doors as she was escorted in. The grey-eyed boy stuffed his hands into his pockets, rocking back and forth at his heels. It took a solid minute for it to sink in, and at that point his face turned ghostly pale. Sugita felt like he was going to puke, he brought his fist up to his mouth, biting at the meat of his pointer finger. He didn’t. Had he just…invited a girl…to go eat? Did he?

He did. With a deep sigh, Sugita brought his hand up to his eyes, squishing them inward stressfully. The guard at the gate stared at him with worry as they scratched their head. The Genin took a deep breath inward, stuffing his hands into his pockets and jiggling them about nervously. He hoped that she didn’t take it the wrong way. What if she reported him for harassment or something?

"God. You’re pathetic,” Gingādo said amused.

"I…I am not! I mean, you saw her!” Sugita said inwardly with flailed hands.

The guard looked even more confused.

"I mean, I would have been hungry too if I’d come all this way,” he tried desperately to give reason.

"Yes. I can tell you’re real hungry. Mhmm.” Gingādo said with a yawn before fading back to his place.

"W—whaaatttt!” Sugita tried to calm himself down. He was overreacting. Right? How long had it been, anyhow? Five minutes? Ten? Thirty? He’d honestly lost track of the time as he flooded himself in his own thoughts. He was jerked back to reality as he heard the doors open. His eyes peered forward, but upon seeing a red and black kimono, he simply looked away. After a split second though, he turned back, noticing that it was in-fact Kuni standing there. She was smiling as she walked forward, her kimono swaying ever so slightly with each step. She…changed? Was that for him? No…there was no way.

"Oh, right, I guess those clothes probably weren’t comfortable after your journey, huh,” he said sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck.

It looked nice on her.

"I am starving, actually, what kind of food do you li---” he was taken a back a little as Kuni reached out her hand. Was he supposed to shake it? He stared at it blankly for a moment until she spoke again.

"Let…” Sugita’s eyes lifted upward, meeting her own. Without looking away, his hand slowly gravitated towards her, grabbing onto it gently. Truthfully, he didn’t know why, and the moment he took hold of her hand, he felt he had messed up. What was moving him? "...you in…? His words lifted with question.

He was hungry, starving but when she reached out, luckily she was able to cut him off before he asked what her favorite dish was. He started to repeat her last words as she took her hand. Kunikunosaku gave a smile, the most genuine and human-like she was capable of. She nodded gently as he finished her words, "Yes, I want you to let me into your life, into your heart. It might be a big ask and completely sudden; but, I kinda... like what I've seen so far from you, I want to get to know you, the real you. I feel... Let's just say, you're treating me better than my home... and I would like more of what you have to offer." A confession made, mostly made. He wouldn't understand how much joy this actually brought her, and she was worried if he knew the full thing right now, she'd be pushed aside like she always is. To say her expectations were high was an overstatement, but it didn't dwindle her hopes.

Kunikunosaku was aching for this chance at being a human. Well, more than what she is now. She wanted so much to escape from her home and be here in this moment. As beautiful as Takigakure was, the village, like everywhere else, had its own dark secrets. And to say she was caught in the web of lies, without a clue how to get out, was pure torture for her. An escape was needed so badly and she may have found on in Sugita, even more of a reason she wanted to hold on so much. Kunikunosaku pulled Sugita in her embrace if he'd let her. "Please, Sugita, please."

The Mikatakujira stepped back. "Whatever is your favorite, I'll eat it."

Jiongu | Earth Grudge Fear

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

Symbiotic Bond: Strong Mind, Strong Body
As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

Power of a God:
After a great time learning how to control Jiongu, Kunikunosaku has learned to store chakra in each of her threads so long as they continue to be attached to at least one of her hearts. This extra storage capacity allows the girl to amass greater amounts of chakra within herself, expanding her reserves beyond that of the normal shinobi her rank. As with many other abilities, this ability continues to grow as the girl does through the ranks and years.

Cursed Master:

As a reward for attaining a greater deal of control over her symbiotic relationship with Jiongu, Kunikunosaku acquired the keys to the gate of mastering her abilities. This new boon allows Kunikunosaku to double the impact of her EGF ninjutsu. In addition, a passive boon is the ability to completely negate Jiongu's manipulation to consume more hearts. These boons together allow Kuni to further manipulate Jiongu against its basic natures, improving her unique utilization. While still young and unrefined, the ability is expected to grow as their bond deepens to even further levels.

Medical Knowledge:

Being from Takigakure's prestigious clan medical clan, Kunikunosaku is also set to learn the human anatomy, biology, and Kinesthetics, While this knowledge DOES NOT give her access to Medical Ninjutsu Techniques, however, the knowledge does unlock abilities of precision to the human body with every attack. This knowledge grants field combat medic aid but nowhere near the degree of those actually trained in it.

[attr="class","sugita"]Sugita could feel the rise and fall of his breath, and the world around him stopped. He stared into a pair of large red eyes. They weren’t like any other eyes he had seen before. Something wild stirred within them, something he wasn’t quite sure he understood, but a curiosity drove him forward. For a moment he lost himself in them, her question still shaking his core. Red flushed his cheeks and his heart rose, its speed increasing to match the racing thoughts that ran free in his head.

He truly didn’t know what to say. What was so special about him to make a girl from another village want to get to know him? All he had done was simply what he would have done for anyone. He was raised this way, so why was it that Kuni saw something in him for just a simple gesture of respect? Sugita’s mind wandered, and without much thought to the question itself, he simply nodded, his face still staring out to her wild eyes.

The Genin offered his hand, again without much thought. It was as if something was taking over, something he couldn’t explain. Would she take it? He somehow doubted it, but his heart leaped either way. He wore it on his sleeve, open to the world around the two of them, though there was fear where sureness would be in his mind.

Giving something worth made it hurt more for it to be taken away. What if this was just a ploy…was she…messing with him?

Sugita shook the thoughts away with a warm smile. "I’ll take you to my favorite, then,” he said, leading her down the puddled streets of Amegakure.

The two walked for several moments before the boy stopped in front of what seemed like a small restaurant. It didn’t have much of a presence, but the aroma coming from inside was pleasant. "This is my little secret,” he said putting his finger up to his lips. "It doesn’t look like much, but I swear it’s the best food in the village!” Sugita looked up at the door in wander before heading inside, opening the door for Kuni to enter first.

She was holding out so long for him, and while her better judgement told her to reel it in, she didn't want nor care to. She found a sense of comfort, a rare commodity for her, just by simply being near Sugita. She could feel him staring at her, specifically her eyes, Kunikunosaku not only felt a bit better in her confidence of this situation but also how this small confrontation will go, and for the first time in a while, she felt serene bliss. She had an idea that the boy may be plagued by racing thoughts which is understandable given the current circumstance Kuni put Sugita in. She saw him reach his hand out and the girl smiled, she felt like she was actually getting to him and he was indeed letting her in. Without any hesitation, she gently grabbed his hand, locking her hand in his as she felt such an overwhelming joy wash over her.

He stated that he'd take her to his favorite place and that was a factor in itself to prove to her that maybe, just maybe, she finally got there. It was still in its infancy, she wouldn't expect much but with a start like this, the girl held out to a hope she thought died long ago. The girl kept a hold of his hand as he led them to his favorite locale. She still knew very little of the village and without the Genin with her, she was of the thought she may be booted. She wasn't sure her rationale for being with Sugita essentially protected her from being booted if she wasn't so close to him. Upon arrival at his preference, Kunikunosaku looked at him with a soft smile. "I'll take your word, hope it is as I have no reference point." Kuni stated it was true though. She has never had another village cuisine's but now, she can't really taste it. She has unknowingly put herself in another bind, and she wasn't sure how she was to faux amazement, it couldn't be that hard, could it?

"I can't wait to try it, Sugita! It sounds like a great time. Um... Order for me, I don't know what to get here." She stated in a slightly embarrassed tone, mainly so he can guide her to what to expect and because she truly doesn't know what Amegakure had to offer.
