Smoke seemed to litter the skies over the village, the area seemed as if in a fog. Though possible to see through it, her sense was smell felt as if clouded. Though in her mind, it assured her that Akira had indeed found a way to handle the flames. For now, the teen had a more precious bundle to deal with, prompting her to handle it with as much care as she would with her own brothers. In emerging from the basement of the partially damaged shelter, she'd soon seen the vague shadows of people, those not with the intent of asking impossible questions. One of them being the mother of the child in her arms. Watching her rush forward, Arashi would release the boy from her grip, seeing the reunion before her with a calm expression on her face. As more people seemed to come from out of hiding, her gaze would begin to seek out Akira, though seeing no one matching his image.

"Akira?..."

Walking forward, her hazel eyes would soon find one of the villagers, their hands waving in her direction, shaking her hand in thanks as she smiled sheepishly, but continued on her search.

"Akira!"

Still no sign of him, no response....and she was starting to get worried...

Concern was starting to wash over her face, her walk across the burn ground, ashes crossing the surface of her boots. Until she came upon the scene of blood, and a corpse laid out bare for all to see. She could get a better sense of the area now. The stand off between three individuals, and one familiar one. His scent was one that she couldn't forget. But what had been one sided, seemed to have changed suddenly, and now there was a dead body. But still, where was Akira?

Heh..check out the rack on this one...

"Seriously?!"

Don't see many like that one!

Arashi would find herself looking down, her annoyed expression fading upon realizing what Shukaku was referring to, her eyes growing wide as she saw the blood-traced symbols just beneath her breasts.

"Oh shit...is that?"

Whomever these people were...they didn't come here looking for just anything...

Kneeling down, the short haired female would recognize the design, the indications and the skill behind such a technique. She had learned it herself, and had enough time between teaching to keep herself educated on Fuinjutsu to be aware of what this was.

"Kiki Fuinjutsu…..Crisis Seal...."

Arashi would see no other bodies around, and Akira's own scent had grown cold from this point. Was it possible? Was he actually sealed inside of this dead body?

"Oh shit...."

Hovering over it, the teen would begin to consider what she had to do, looking over it with a serious expression, unaware of those that still remained. Watching from the shadows. The beings that had attacked, seeking a key, seeming lost in awe. Waiting to see what the girl was going to do with their fallen comrade.

"This is gotta be a first....removing a seal from a corpse...okay..."

Shukaku would remain silent, though he could indeed sense these birds of prey. A sinster smile crossed his maw. He had given his aid for one day, allowing the girl to save herself from her own mess.

Symbols glowing across the surface of her skin, the Suna-nin would begin to let the black signs cross along each other, the curse marks swirling and linking with each other. Before long, she'd place her hand down upon it, allowing her palm to create a counter seal, breaking through the one that it laid upon. It would take some time, as this was a last resort seal, one that likely took every ounce of the woman's strength to create. It was her very life force that was binding it, something that Arashi hoped that she'd never have to call upon. But still, considering if their cause was dire enough, perhaps she believed it was indeed worth it.

"I really hope your in here Akira...otherwise..I'm gonna have a lot of exampling to do...."

Though what she saw as a natural ability granted to her by the One tails, the ones in the shadows...the Tengu..saw as something much more valuable...

What they saw...was the key...

Ichibi Host

Arashi is the host to the Ichibi. As such, she has been granted a massive boost to her chakra and various other skills. Sand will unconsciously move to her will, even if she doesn’t want it to. She also has a natural affinity with Fuuinjutsu due to the curse marks that appear over her at times. Arashi also has an affinity to wind. However, because of the low number of tails on Ichibi, Arashi has difficulties controlling the biju and rarely sleeps. She rarely lowers her guard as well.

Enhanced Smell

Somehow, Arashi has gained an enhanced sense of smell. It appears that she’s been hanging around dogs for too long and has obtained a sense of smell that rivals that of a blood hound. In reality, she has simply discovered that by channeling some chakra to her nose she can enhance the cells within it and gain a super sense of smell that may act as a sensor and tracking technique. She can smell out strangers, steel and various other things. Arashi may retract her chakra from her nose as well to make her sense of smell return to normal. Due in most regards to her heavily enhanced sense of smell, With her continued usage of this ability, she has now become capable of near passively monitoring the exact range of a target and their positioning within 250 meters. (Able to turn "off and on" this enhanced sense at the 'prick' of chakra to her nose)

Hunter's Instinct

With her training from her mother, along with the lessons she learned from her time with the Saeko's Clan, Arashi adapted her tracking ability to a level similar to that of a sensory nin. As such, allowing her much more precision in her ability to find and keep on the heels of individual targets or groups through use of her enhanced sense of smell and ability to identify individuals and objects at long range.

Ichibi Curse Seal
The only ability Arashi has competent control over, this is the ability to utilize the curse seal marks over Shukaku’s body for her own bidding. Arashi can will the seals to cover her own body and control them to form various seals to preform fuuinjutsu from her own skin. As such, she can summon weapons she has sealed within them and rearrange the seals to be able to perform various fuuinjutsu that she has knowledge of without scrolls by using her own skin. She may also seal items within the curse marks and rearrange them to perform an unrelated technique before reforming them to summon the item at a later date.

PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT,

Akira didn't really know how to take it. There was a calmness in his.. what could it even be called? Soul? He couldn't sense anything. Couldn't feel, hear, taste, see - only think. Like his soul was stuck. This numbness - and a void. That's all he could describe it as. There wasn't a black abyss, there was simply no concept of black: that would be the presence of light, and darkness was the absence of light.

Here? Nothing. Akira didn't even know if he experienced it. So when his body wasn't quite responding the way he wanted it to, he thought how would he get himself out of this situation. 'Am I in the void?' Akira thought to himself.

Life was going much slower here. What were only seconds felt like hours to him, unable to comprehend anything at all. Akira couldn't even feel sad, because even that had been taken from him as well. 'I'm meant to be sad. Distraught.' Akira thought.

'I didn't even know what Arashi wanted to say back to me.'

'Am I going to be here for eternity now? Like this?'

'Oh, Kami, don't let it be like this.'

Akira didn't even know that he was developing a fear as it was coming. Not even a fear of death, but the idea of a torture of being left alone for eternity with nothing but his own mind. This was what it was like to put other people in his Genjutsu. Only... this wasn't a Genjutsu. He must've been actually dead.

No friends or family, nobody to run to. Nobody to report to. Kokuo was likely already rampaging, and might've already killed Arashi, the town itself gone to waste, a war begun - over his dead body. Literally. Suffering, caused by directly by him. 'That might've been fine if it were on my terms.'

Another flash of light blinded Akira as he was born back into existence with his senses being returned to him, hitting him like a truck as he looked blinded - eyes struck by lights as he realised that he was in fact, alive, and back where he had just been although his surroundings had changed significantly in what the woman had drawn into the seal herself.

Arashi was there again. She hadn't been the cause of this, but a resolution. Akira wasn't able to distinguish correlation and causation in what had happened, but had attributed it solely to her. Akira pulled Arashi into him tightly, hugging her. He wasn't dead. Not dead.

Not dead, not dead not dead.

The specific seal itself and Bijū were not compatible, as to how Akira had been drawn in, was likely because he was acting as a buffer between the two from interacting. That being said, something felt vastly different. Akira felt weak - but with good reason.

He only had his own reserves. They were much larger through how long the Bijuu had been with him, and how they were growing together as once. But the mass of chakra that was bound to his soul was lifted: like there was no weight there at all in the pit of his stomach.

He let go of her, not having said anything in the mean time, a weight to him that hadn't been there before. He would stand himself up and on his feet- wobbling in the next few moments. Akira looked at Arashi, confused. Like a part of him was missing. His hand rose to his chest, grasping as the skin in front of his heart. His seal was on his shoulder, but that didn't matter right now. He looked sick, like he was about to vomit in the next few moments, his body weakening.

His eyes were wholly unaware that his skin was beginning to fill with black markings, rising up his back and chest from his shoulder, across his face and across the top half of his body, snaking down his arms and stopping at his wrists. Akira hadn't willed it to happen, nor had he intended for it to happen. Arashi would be able to see the seal for what it was, although primarily obscured with his own clothes - but visible through the tears in his clothing across his body.

"Where's my Bijū?"

"What's going on?" A hiss spoke from the shadows of the buildings as they cast down, though the sunlight from the midday sun was preventing true disappearance: they were certainly doing well to hide their presence. "The girl, the little one... she uses seals. Good at them, too, it looks..." The Tengu was apt in their observation of Arashi.

"I wanna kill him for what he did to Tatsuo!" Another voice piped up. A woman, one that Akira had seen earlier. She would see vengeance. "Soon." The Tengu gave the order, and their hand would do a few signs and they would all move forward.

Seeing that the monster illusion user was weakened, they would strike at the woman: they knew of their connection as it had been seen plain as literal day. They would try and capitalise on that, three of them taking a triangle formation around them. The Tengu spoke.

"We can tell he's weak. Come with us and we'll let him live. We need your seal abilities." they said, soft in their command- they seemed happy to pass on some of their information.

There was a laboratory with a barrier on it. On that barrier, a Fuuinjutsu. And another, and another. As they'd learned, removing the seal would only replace it with the same one: and a copy of the person who released the seal, for them to fight.

A disgusting ability, but one that existed nonetheless: it had caused them enough problems.

So they were looking for whoever had created it. They would be able to remove it. They didn't care how, but they had urgency for it to be done. "I'll fucking kill you both, if you disobey!" The woman had her mask off properly now, and it was a smell that had been on the battleground earlier to Arashi's notice.

Arashi focused intensely on the seal, pouring what chakra she could into it, doing her best to counter it's effects. The strength behind it was great, and it took more and more calibrations with each attempt. This left those that survived to simply watch from a distance, seeing the youth kneeling over the body, her hands placed upon the corpse, mumbling to herself with every go at it. Most would simply give up by now. In part, she knew that she was probably meant to. Could she honestly say that Akira would do the same thing for her?

Yes....he would...he already has..

Keeping her attention on trying to find the right source, the teen would seem to finally pick up onto the chakra within the now lifeless body, noting it's familiarity before reaching in with her own to draw him forward, creating a flash of light before a figure would appear before her. There he was, leading to the young female frowning as she rose up briefly while looking at him.

"Don't freak me out like that!..Shesh...I almost wasn't able to break ya .."

The sudden embrace cut her off, feeling him pull her into him as she just held a blank stare, soon smiling as she hugged him back. Honestly, she had been worried. Fearful even that something far worse had happened. It hadn't made things better at the realization that he had been sealed within such a strong technique. Had she not been better at figure such things out, she might very well have been at a loss in getting him out. Still, the process of doing so was exhausting, and she felt as if she'd need a moment before doing anything of such an extreme nature again.

But, that seemed to be the least of their problems as Akira would release her from his grasps, soon seeming as if he were ill. Concern on her face, she watched as he'd begin to look about as if he were missing something. His body seeming to shake, markings would soon begin to cross the length of his body, eyes wide in panic before he'd look at her as he asked a question that would leave her speechless.

His Bijuu?

Glancing briefly at his partially visible seal, Arashi would prepare to ask what he meant, soon noting the villagers that were coming closer and drew silent. The last thing they needed was a panic, though she couldn't imagine just what Akira was going through right now. But, if Kokuo was missing, then where could it have gone? More than that, why wasn't Akira dead?

Except it wasn't the villagers, but the Tengu once more. Narrowing her eyes, the girl would hear them speak of Akira, her gaze shifting between each of the three that surrounded them, her body moved in protection of Akira, standing in front of him as she held her arms out.

Arashi was prepared to summon whatever she needed to protect the two of them, but this fight would do little to help either of them. The odor of the three came wavering into her nostrils, prompting the girl to recognize them instantly, especially the woman who threatened them. She could easily defend them, perhaps even try and very well break both of them out of there. But then, these three might very well continue to assault the village for whatever they were seeking. Plus, if they had managed to weaken or perhaps even steal Akira's tailed beast, then there was no telling if they could do the same thing to her the moment she reacted.

Lastly, she honestly was starting to get more and more curious as to what the point of all this was and she was certain that was the reason they needed them alive.

State in mind, she'd rise up to straighten her posture, her eyes still narrowed before looking once more over at Akira.

"Just take it easy for now...we'll figure it out...at least..I hope so..."

Speaking in a near whisper, she'd then glance at the trio before nodding her head.

"Fine...I'll be good.."

PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT,

"Y-yeah." Akira wasn't able to fully mask the unease in his face, there was an entire part to him that was missing - like a limb in his soul was missing. There was no other way to describe it.

Kokuo hadn't fully disappeared and somewhere inside the seal had simply reeled back from the unintentional damage caused by being forced inside a seal that was much too small for him. In essence, it had hurt. A lot. But Akira didn't know that.

It looked a bit like the Sp. Jōnin was going to fall over. But a fight as a fight and when they found themselves surrounded, although Akira was swaying with the wind, he withdrew his trench knife when they both found themselves surrounded. There wasn't any immediate route that Akira could see that would lead to safety.

"Y-yeah.." Akira would slowly return the knife to its sheath, not really able to think coherently. 'What is happening to me? Where is Kokuo?' His thoughts were panicked. He would look down at his hands, seeing the familiar once-stricken vision from his memory when he was first sealed.

He did realize that the seal hadn't broken: because otherwise there would be no seal. Much less him being actually alive - unless there was a powerful enough Fuuinjutsu that could extract the Bijuu from him? But the technique that had been used was a mock up, it couldn't have had possibly been powerful enough - nor had the woman even known of his own status. So it had to be something else. He would have to find out.

When they'd ordered them to move, Akira would follow behind Arashi.

Provided Akira and Arashi kept following the three ninja, keeping their distance around them: people only staring from the safety of distance and urban foliage only a town could provide. The smell of acidity and acridness from burning had all but illuminated the main scent of the surrounding area, but it would fade as they themselves departed from the madness they'd been causing and into another section of the town. They were in a new battlefield, with strewn and semi-random constructions, and one of them was simply an empty lot among the buildings: a construction site. There was nothing remarkable about it, with raw materials and tools hastily dropped mid construction.

"We need access to a building. There's seals on them. You remove them seals, you're good to go." The threat overlooming Arashi with Akira temporarily incapacitated was clear, and didn't need to be said. The Tengu looked briefly back at the other two Shinobi.

They moved towards a half built building: and nothing seemed out of the blue. But there was a staircase built into the centre of the house: leading downstairs much like the first that Arashi had descended down upon. Unlike a half built construction site, the area they moved down toward was a much more enclosed space.

"You first." The Tengu would stand to the side of the stairs, pointing down there. Akira himself was spaced out, and just followed by Arashi.

Surrounded, and at the moment underpowered by one, there was no better way out of this situation than to go along with it. At least until they could figure out what was going on. Akira was in no shape to fight and Arashi wasn't willing to test out any possible chance that what happened to him wouldn't do the same thing to her. Not if they didn't want any means of escape. With her leading Akira in the hostage march, her gaze seemed to shift from one side of the village to the next. If she was hoping that perhaps these people would return the favor for what they had attempted to do, perhaps she was barking up the wrong tree.

Fear of death was something every living person had at one time or another. In the case of civilians, it was probably more constant. A shinobi took risks everyday, and while it was required as to Duty and even Honor, it mostly came down to a choice. How far would you go for a stranger?

With their surroundings soon changing the further they went, the teen would soon see the empty lot and it's collection of unmanned machinery. These tools of building were scattered across the area, though she imagined at one time they had been in use. Likely before the fiery event. In the end, their march came to a brief pause, with one speaking of needing help into a building.

A structure that appeared to have been sealed up.

While she was less than interested in aiding someone who was literally holding her against her will, a small glance in Akira's direction showed him in an almost mindless state. Her breath released, the short haired female would begin to make her way down into the narrow basement, her eyes looking about her as she then spoke.

"Least gonna tell me just what I'm breakin into?"

PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT,

While he was walking down the steps alongside them his eyes needed a little time to adjust: it was darker, but not bad enough to not be able to see in the room, but his eyes began to squint. In his mind, there was another battle raging.

"I need to go inside the mindscape..." Akira would whisper to Arashi. He needed to see what was wrong: if there was anything wrong. If there was, he'd find an empty mindscape: and that would be then a real cause for concern. How would he be able to explain something like that?

But if he went into the mindscape that would start several other problems: what if it was something dangerous in the outside world? If he was being held ransom? Arashi having to fight three other Shinobi? Now, he didn't doubt her ability, but he didn't know of theirs.

And he could also be used as a hostage, if he were knocked out.

When all of those facts came to him, his mind was returning to a stable state. But he made the decision. He needed to go down.

"...No. No I will not." the Tengu replied simply, but would walk around their flank to 'present' the scene.

In essence, the underground area was simple: it looked like a house, with a few small amenities and furniture but otherwise apparently dusty from all the building work happening above. It would fit a small family comfortably inside the space, but simply enough in the middle of the room - a big gaping hole. A cylindrical hole in the floor that someone had dug out and it was deep enough to look like a chasm, a single ladder protruding down by it. On top of it, acting like a lid: was two seals hovering above the hole: levitating.

"It's a seal. If you remove it, it flames out of existence and then a carbon copy of yourself appears, intent on killing you. Then the seal... grows back." The man gave an explanation as best he could, because for whatever it was worth they saw value in Arashi knowing how the seal worked.

"Arashi... knock me out." Akira would ask of her, whispering again. Akira didn't know exactly how he'd cause a situation naturally to allow that to happen, but he didn't think that they would allow him to meditate.

Akira didn't know what the response would be, but he didn't get very far as he would turn from seeing something from his peripherals, and it was the woman who dropped her elbow into his eye: knocking him back, and out. "Sure thing, kiddo." She seemed chipper at the opportunity to deal her own damage to the man in response for the death of one of their own.

Such a thing wouldn't normally knock him out: but he would've been in a fitter state had he not been rocked off his feet by what had been happening, and an active response would have his back move backward to avoid some of the attack. But alas, he fell backwards and against the wall: knocked out, and a shiner beginning to form.

"Kazui!" The Tengu would sharply call the woman's name. It couldn't be seen from the mask underneath, but it was clear he was either angry or frowning in expression. The woman shrugged. "He asked for it?" she didn't seem guilty at all, but could should've she been given the situation? The man tutted, and sighed, but turned back to Arashi.

"Take off the seal, break whatever barrier it's making, and you can take your lump of a partner and piss off." So it was clear enough that whatever was inside the room was important enough to barter for, rather than trying to flat out murder either one of them. They didn't want to give any further information than that.

Either Arashi would be able to remove the seal, or they'd have to use the alternative method. On the circle, there was two seals: and in two separate portions of the room were two more seals, all would need to be removed at once for the seal to break: minus Akira who was knocked out, but the three of them and Arashi could manage to do it.

But then the aftermath was a dangerous thought as well.

The response hadn't given much of a reason for Arashi to comply, though hearing the words of Akira from behind her, the teen would raise her brow in surprise. It was an interesting idea, but could easily backfire in a lot of ways. For one thing, him going into the mind-scape would very well leave him out for some time. While it would give some answers to just what had happened to Kokou. Still, she wouldn't be able to move him if he were to remain in such a place.

So upon them arriving at the location of said seal, Arashi could only look at it, then glance back at Akira as she prepared to answer his request, only for one of their guards to seem to take it upon themselves to do so. Watching him fall backward, Arashi was ready to lash out, only for her to frown as she realized the numbers again. Not only that, but the narrowness of their current location did her little favors. Gritting her teeth, she'd look down at the now unconscious shinobi, then hearing the command yet again, her eyes narrowed before examining the seal presented before her.

Whatever was being held here, clearly had enough defense to make it a threat. Not to mention how it wasn't simply one seal holding it all together, but four all together. Making her way around the room, the Suna-nin would make note of the two other seals, cupping her hand beneath her face as she began to speak.

"Fine...ya first problem was basically worryin bout just that one...theres more to it and you have to work together to get it right...that and understand the reason behind the seal in the first place..."

That was her fishing again, but she hoped that perhaps them trusting her would at least give her some points to at least know what was down there. They needed her to make this work, otherwise they would just be fighting these supposed doubles of themselves.

Not only that, but she hoped that bidding time would allow Akira to maybe...just maybe..find out what went wrong. Perhaps it was something that was connected to the missing Tailed beast? Or they were dealing with something far worse.

"Look! Ya want me help...ya gotta tell me just what the hell all this is for? Is it a weapon? Defensive barrier? Only an idiot would try and break somethin without knowing the kind of Fuuinjutsu it's related to..so..details would be nice..."

PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT,

Akira hadn't known what to expect when being knocked out, or if it would even lead him to the mindscape and not some dark oblivion to wait until his senses returned to him. But thankfully, he ended up where he needed to be. Unlike last time, where he usually found himself standing on rock, on the playground of the bijuu: he found himself laying in water, staring up at the sky.

The man shook his head and, with clarity sat himself up in the water, looking around him. The seal itself seemed... okay? There was damage. The once immaculate city seemed torn away, darker than what it had been, buildings half destroyed: cracked in the immediate walls of his surroundings.

He would swim some towards the wall, and would do a pullup to hoist himself out of the water with some noise and exertion. He was already near the cage itself, so he didn't need to waste any time. He didn't know what would be on the outside of the seal or what was happening, so speed was of the essence.

Akira took in his surroundings a bit more: it didn't look like normal, for certain. It filled him with dread to see the surroundings, like he should've also smelt acrid smoke but it was nothing. The lack of sensory information was bothering him. He would feel for his body. Everything was there: fine: and his clothing was dry.

He shook his head, rubbing the place where he'd been smacked. Fine. Akira would start a slow jog towards the mausoleum where Kokuo was held, and up the steps - between the pillars that wound them together.

"What the fuck..."

The cage was empty, for as far as he could see into the darkness.

"It's a precious minerals mine. My family owned it decades ago. It was sealed up. That's all you need to know." The man would give as little backstory as he could, and any further attempts at questions would only return tight lipped response non-answers.

The man would pull out a kunai, pointing at the seal. "Well, go on then. Deal with it." They didn't have time to spare, not with the time frame on creating a massive disturbance. It did bring to light why were they looking for a key - why now? Why was someone only wanting access to a mine? What was it with such a powerful seal on an entrance to a mine?

The two others remained quiet, although the quietest one, the one who had not yet participated began to look around the room itself knowing now what Arashi had pointed out. Not specifically looking for a seal, but anything of interest - the small sounds of their movement and knocking things over as they looked. This was the one who had been in the Genjutsu, not that Arashi would've known that information.

There wasn't much to get from the response to her question, leading to her to think either he wasn't telling the whole truth and hiding something, or even he didn't know for sure and was simply taking a hunch that whatever was in here would be worth their little scare tactic. The key was also a pressing matter to consider as well, though they remained unanswered question as she could only delay these people for so long.

Looking in the direction of the main seal, she'd release a soft breath before giving Akira once last concerned glance, then following her own resolve as she began to make her way to one of the presented markers that was close enough for visibility. From there, she'd begin to allow her body to glow, the curse markings crossing the length of her skin, soon allowing a symbol to come upon her hand as she prepared.

"There are multiple seals holding this single one together...you undo them all and you'll gain access to the mine. The problem is that they all have to be done at the same time...so..any of ya happen to know a thing or two about Fuinjutsu?"

In asking, Arashi would proceed to wait, her eyes scanning the room before then shrugging her shoulders.

"Never mind..bad question...in any case..I need to break through each in order to create the opening..."

As she began to form the proper handseal, she'd stop briefly, recalling what had been said before...If done wrong, an evil clone of that one responsible would appear and attack. Which prompting some idealist line of thought. Still, it was a long shot as she couldn't imagine a worse thing than a clone of her running amuck.

But...would it work? Would it be enough?

Still at work, she would keep her wits about her, making her way to the next seal that was close by, examining it's pattern and sequences. It was certainly similar, yet, there was a few minor differences in what it did to contain the passageway. This would then lead her to the next one, her eyes scanning it's features before then letting her arms rest at her side. In moments, she'd begin making her way to the center one, staring down at it as she could see the chakra that was holding it in place.

Breaking this would either give these people what they wanted, or release something far worse. In the end, she could only think of one way to find out...without the risk of getting too much for them all to handle.

PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT,

The clack of Akira's shoes on the marble floor of the prison - the seal - were the only ones he could hear, and the light was quickly fading as he passed the steps and allowed the darkness to circumference around his being.

There were no piercing blue eyes, no damning illuminating beast of wonder to take up most of the space inside the seal. That concerned Akira greatly. Another thought was that like Akira, the beast had too been sealed itself.

It was cold as well. The outside was no better, considering how much he had prepared, he was still cold. Not good at all. Akira started his walk down on the marble flooring and soon enough the light had faded to that it was a choking darkness around him. This space was far bigger than Akira could ever had anticipated.

But he didn't see a lack of hope, and something that filled his spirit was the sight of light in the far distance: light enough that he couldn't quite make it out, but he began to sprint toward it. It was Kokuo, horse sized: much smaller than Akira could've thought. Something he could ride on.

The horse was laid down, and a much smaller version. "Kokuo." concern was evident in his voice. Akira would stop some feet away from the bijuu, and it weakly opened its eyes. "Fool..." the bijuu responded.

They didn't respond to her question. She wouldn't had been there in the first place if they did know. Fūinjutsu was a dying art; not many people studied it anymore beyond sealing generic items and explosive tags.

"Hurry the kami up. Do you think we have all day?" The woman would shout at Arashi. More than anything they wanted to get what they had come here for, or they were simply seeking access to the mine.

"The other two are here." The quiet one spoke, and pointed. There were now four, two on the barrier itself and two on the walls around the room on opposite sides. That left her with some ability to either do as she wanted, whether try and dismiss the seals or break them entirely.

The other two, one was standing by Arashi and the Tengu was standing opposite her, awaiting instruction, watching her. "It's fine. We have this under control, just make the seal disappear and be on your way." The Tengu asked. Where force didn't always work, negotiation did next. They certainly had their own motivations but they didn't want to reveal what sort of secrets and minerals would be found down there. Any one person could assume it was a rare gem, or mineral, or metal. Such could be found, hence the quarries. But this one? This one was special.

The silence after she presented her question did indicate a clear answer, leading to her simply rolling her eyes in the midst of one's frustration in going through such a round of questioning. But, at the very least it was understood that this had to be handled with some sense of care and delicacy. That much she learned from her father, and from the experience in a previous venture of dealing with tunnels and hidden paths. Seals and Fuinijutsu were indeed an ancient art. She'd seen some of the most skilled shinobi make it seem as fluid and effective as any ninjutsu. But that took years of understanding and practice.

Knowing the correct markings and the proper sequences. Understanding the patterns, and of course, their breaking points. Every seal had a certain point of breaking, this is what allowed them to be countered. Either by a stronger seal, or from an exploited weakness.

Breaking the Seals

In hearing the command once more for her to act, she'd gesture for the two to move to their respective sides of the room, allowing for her to then instruct the Tengu and his counterpart to move to the other corner. Narrowing her eyes, the curse marks on her back would soon cross over each other, soon allowing for her Sand Gourd to appear upon her back. From there, lines of Sand would soar outwardly, thin streams that would then begin to lap around the arms and wrists of her captors, gently encasing their hands respectively. As this was done, Arashi would then gently let her fingertips lightly touch one of them as they passed, allowing long lines of black to appear.

"Relax...since ya can't do the proper disarmament, I have to...just let me guide you..."

These tendrils, still connected to the One Tails, would soon begin to light up like a beacon as the symbols of these counter seals would begin to cross along their surface, soon entrancing on each dust encased palm of these four. Her eyes narrowed, she'd focus heavily on breaking each one down, moving their hands together as she soon allowed her own to rest on the center seal. Working them all in unison, Arashi would soon begin to process of unlocking it.

Honestly, she was hoping right now that what this actually did hold? Was it just a mine? No normal mine would be held up like this. If what was mentioned of this being connected to family being true, perhaps there was a secret deeper in. The question was..if she was ready to find out..

Will of Sand

Will of Sand- Adding the element of her own chakra into the mixture of sand, Arashi is capable of faster and stronger sand manipulation and attacks. The extent of this control is due to the supply gathered within her gourd, granting the bonus of power, but limited to only the amount contained within it. This ability makes her constructions more dense and harder to break down, and the swiftness of their creation is instant rather than requiring the prior time of build-up as before due to the strengthened bond between Arashi and Shukaku.

"What on earth happened?" Akira stood before the beautiful beast: matt white and tinged yellow tipped in fur, eyes blue and staring daggers at the jailor.

"You happened, child!" The horse spat venomously - but weakly - as it tried to sit up to stare at Akira. Even in its miniture form, it was taller than Akira while sitting down, his face directly sitting above Akira's own: and its horns reaching further still. "You didn't pay attention, and I paid for it!" the horse was not happy. As Akira could understand.

"That was my own hubris. I'm sorry. Are you ok?" Akira would ask, and go to place a hand on the beast but it would snap back, trying to bite Akira. "Enough!" it had no time for games or niceties in how it felt. "You don't care for me! Just my powers! Leave me be!" it had a lot more to say, and had apparently caught up in Akira's personality somewhat given it was also starting to respond to Akira's boiling fury.

"I didn't use your powers because you asked me not to. I respect you." Akira would speak softly to him. Akira had been following his direction exclusively: not to use his powers and see how long he could last.

"Do you know how long it takes to regenerate? Being brought back from an ether is no funny business!" Kokuo had already spoken far too much but the last few years of ailment of dealing with Akira's own emotions had worn down the Bijuu enough to accidentally let slip some information he shouldn't.

Akira felt a couple of things click into his mind in a few different ways. "You... you can die?" The horse stopped speaking, flatly looking at him.

Strange...

The resounding dislike from the three of them was apparent in the noises they produced, not liking their bodies being guided by the woman, much less feel like they were being set up in a trap, but one of them held a knife to Akira's throat propped up against her thighs, so it was something they were hoping would keep the woman from performing any tricks.

But for the most part they could observe and see her actions, and they were watching her carefully enough to realise that she was working on the seal (though they couldn't truly know otherwise for their lack of knowledge)

The seals themselves would fizzle and fade away into existence, breaking up into pieces of ash and breaking away into the wind where there was one. The translucent barrier, faded away.

The Tengu made a sound of disbelief. "Ha. Ha." The man was relieved that the seal had been broken and had worked. "Take your guy and piss off out of here." The man would wave the woman away, and the two stepped out of her way so the three of them faced against Arashi. The woman would shove the lifeless body of Akira and allow him to hit against the wall with a thud, though apparently hesitant to do so.

"You're lucky this is important." The woman pointed a knife at Arashi and then Akira. They were keeping their word as far as Arashi could be concerned. The third would drop down immediately into the darkness, not hesitating to get away from the situation and into the mine itself by effort of vertical descent. Again, whatever it was warranted ignoring the death of their friend or colleague in whatever was down in the mine. They no longer had the use of any key if the barrier was broken, and so they would leave if Arashi showed signs of leaving.

It wasn't a surprise to see their lack of trust in her actions. Despite her clear effort to work with them, they still were sure capable of making sure that she didn't act against them by threatening Akira's life. But even so, she still went through with removing the seal, watching as it crumbled with time. Though that seemed to be all these people wanted, and it seemed that the loss of the barrier had only proved them even more of assholes than what Arashi thought.

As one managed to shove Akira's body to the side, allowing him to hit a wall with a thud, the teen was swift to move to his side, holding him up by his back, as she checked his pulse and then looked back at the group. Whatever usage they had for her now, seemed to be over and down, as they began to disappear into the hollow opening that laid at the floor. The seal no longer prevented them access, so they now had what they wanted. Though what that was, still remained an mystery. Honestly, Arashi hoped it was something as petty as gold or diamonds. It wouldn't matter as much that she helped them then.

Still, she found her eyes looking back down toward Akira, showing her concern as she began to speak again.

"Come on...please don't be dead or anything...please tell me ya managed to find him...that you're okay?"

As she placed his head upon her lap, Arashi would just continue to watch him, though her attention shifted as her questions remained. Just what was down there...and why was it sealed so heavily?

PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT,

The horse had known it had spoken too much. For an age old beast, it acted a lot like Akira. But it resumed to its tending of silence, and Akira would put his hands on his hips. "I'm going to help you get up." The horse would try and bite him again as Akira attempted it, causing him to step back once more.

Akira would close his eyes slowly, resetting his gaze upon the Bijuu with a lack of amusement found in his stony features. "You know I could beat the shit out of you for trying to kill me last time, right?" Akira would point out. He certainly didn't need to point it out - but was met with a level gaze of a stubborn, strong bijuu.

"You are the respectful king, and yet you aren't acting as such." Akira really had nothing to go off, but his name was an indication of it. So Akira would attempt once more, and with as much hesitance as could be obliged, he would hoist the beast up with its own aid by leaning his arms around the neck and body, until it was standing enough for it to stand by itself, and Akira would let go lest his feet stopped touching the ground.

The horse was now much bigger than Akira, standing at around double his height. "We're in this together, and I don't want to die, either." Akira was trying to break bread with the Bijuu. "Dying hurts, and sucks. I take my part. But we need to go back out there, and you will recover in the mean time."

The minutes would end up going by and Akira looked as lifeless as they came, and it didn't help his porcelain light skin and cold air made him look only further deceased. The man appeared no closer to Arashi to be waking up any time soon, which wouldn't work out for her.

Some further time would pass, and unless they'd moved place the eerie dungeon would only grow colder as the day grew on. Silence was the key factor, but the pair had managed to suffocate most of the initial destruction brought on by the crazed and masked assailants. But they had gotten what they wanted -

The earth would shake, only a few times but enough to tick the warning bells off the woman: the ninja themselves were quick and apparently knew what they were looking for, since they'd not brought digging equipment, or apparently anything to mine said equipment.

So when the earth shook, it did so for the entire surrounding town. The dungeon they were in shifted, seeming weaker. Then there was the sound, a raw, screeching sound of mountains moving and rocks crumbling: and a piercing set of screams from the inside of the hole.

The dungeon was going to collapse, and they would be kept in it if Arashi did nothing about it. Her reward would be swift when she exited out and onto the building site: the world had con-caved and it turned into a sinkhole: and the earth was readily moving now like its own machine had turned it on, humming with life.

And then it blew itself from the earth: no telling how exactly large it was from one side, nor how long: but it was the size of the town. Perhaps larger. There was no head, no eyes or discernible start to the beast: made of apparent rock, or caked by it - and teeth. So many thousands of rows of teeth.

Arashi might've known what the beast was, or not. But it was a worm of epic proportions. And it had awoken, likely from the meddling of three horrible ninja.

He wasn't dead...he couldn't be dead...

Arashi continued to look down at his face, still checking for any sign of life. His face was pale, but not the usual complexion that she had come to get used to him. It was as though the life from every part of him had been drained, to the point where he was a lifeless husk. Near empty in fact. She could get a vague sense of his chakra, but it was much weaker.

While Arashi began to regret not taking medical training as seriously as she should, the ground beneath them soon started to rumble, creating vibrations under and across their current level of surface. Glancing around briefly, it took little time to realize that whatever was happening, came from whatever actions the previous intruders had caused upon entering the area below. With screams coming from the hole close by, Arashi would raise her brow and then feeling the cave shift and hear the echoing grating of movement just below her.

"Oh shit...What have I done?"

Reaching over to Akira, she'd swiftly move to hold him up with her shoulder, feeling his weight upon her and his towering figure just close to her neck. Checking his face, the young female would narrow her eyes before quickly charging her way toward the exit. Each racing step seemed to be followed by the collapse behind them. But she knew she couldn't look back. She had to get them out and fast, leading to her increasing her pass as she allowed chakra to pulse through her limbs, causing her to move more efficiently. With her speed increased, the two would final break out into the open, the dark haired female twisting herself around so that she'd come to a stop, still holding Akira up as she released a heavy breath.

"Not exactly my best time..but..well..ya know...carrying ya didn't make it easy..."

It was at that point that she began to hear the rumble once more, feeling the shaking of the earth and the would swiftly sink into itself. This prompted her to move further and further back, until the full picture of damage could be seen. Honestly, Arashi couldn't recall ever seeing something like this, which made the next sight even more surprising as something very large emerge from the depths of the wreckage. A beast that the girl had only heard of in legend, stated to only be located within the deepest parts of the desert. It traveled through self contained tunnels beneath the Earth, living off the planet itself. Or at least, that was how the story went.

"I really wish you were awake right now...that way..I'd at least know I wasn't crazy...."

It's epic portions made it so that it could easily clear the village itself with one massive attack, and the fact that it seemed to be surfaced, likely meant that whatever the Tengu had done down there, angered the animal. Though if they had been the cause of all this, Arashi had been the one to open the door.

"Mom's right...I am reckless...and..a total idiot..I never should have given them a way in..."

Seeing the thousands of teeth and the distance between this beast and the village itself, Arashi would narrow her eyes before placing Akira down close to some relative cover. It wasn't much, but at least it would likely keep him from drawing any attention. Though then, if Arashi wasn't capable of dealing with this, it probably wouldn't matter what position either of them were in.

Especially since I'm pretty sure this isn't somethin I'll be able to cover up...

Titanic Clash

Looking down at Akira one last time, she'd then allow the curse marks across her skin to surface, crossing each other before traveling to her back as her gourd would emerge, imbedded close to her back before settling to the physical posture of it's natural place. Adjusting the strap, the Suna-nin would soon summon some of it's content into being, allowing it to travel downward, creating a platform beneath her feet and causing it to rise.

"Here we go.."

That said, her eyes began to glow a familiar golden hue, creating a burst of chakra to surround her as she rose up, feeling the sand travel around her as she focused her attention at the creature before her. This titan of a worm.

Breaking it down wouldn't be an easy task, but she had to keep it at bay and at least deter it from getting any closer to the village...or Akira. Sharp fangs scratching at her lower gums, Arashi would then charge in, forming what looked to be two large hands out of dust as they would collide into the monster, hoping to slam against it as a means to prompt it's focus onto her.

"Comin right at cha!!"

Jinchuuriki Form

Arashi has light black rings around her eyes due to the several sleepless nights she’s had. Her eyes are also an intense shade of gold. They seem to match the Ichibi’s own eyes as well. She also occasionally has curse marks very similar to Shukaku’s appear over her skin, typically during a full moon and the days surrounding the moon or in combat.

Chakra Shroud [No Tail]

Arashi goes into her chakra shroud form very easily. In fact, she’s almost always in this form. The sand that constantly protects her is a sign that the form is always up. As such, Arashi is very difficult to harm on a regular basis. However, she also has the danger of constantly being near the tipping point into going full tail. As such, it’s very important for her to always try to keep a calm mind.

NAME: Fūton: Kaze Sanpo [Wind Release: Wind Walk]
RANK: D
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Fūton
DESCRIPTION:
This technique allows the user to create a wind like base under their feet, reducing friction and enhancing the user's speed. The user doesn't seem to be levitating unless under close inspection which they seem to be about 1.5 - 2cm off the ground. Apart from enhancing speed, this technique gives the user the ability to walk on water and evade projectile attacks with ease.

NAME: Satetsu Kesshū [ Sand Gathering Assault]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
