Midori clenched her teeth while she was still locked to the boy by hands. His strength was formidable, more than she expected, but she was still holding back, even as he pushed her hands back and twisted them every which way. The woman would simply endure the pain as his grip seemed to only grow tighter and tighter. Just as she expected them to come to a standstill, Horonigai would let go of the woman’s hands and punch her directly in the face with all of his might. The sage would go tumbling back, fast and wildly. Dirt and dust kicked up into the air as the woman bounced off of the ground while still rolling backwards. Eventually she would get her under control and bring herself up to her feet and come to a sliding stop.

"I deserved that.”

She thought to herself as blood was spat from her mouth the moment she stood up to her full height. Her hand caressed her cheek as she looked up to see the boy with jutsu active. "You talk a lot...just do it.” The woman spoke softly as he threatened to kill her, and so he attempted to follow through with his wording. Collecting Doton over his fist and flickering in front of the woman, she would simply stand her ground, but had no intention of letting the boy hit her again. Anymore of those would not be beneficial to her health.

Thoughts weren't quite racing as opposed to going stagnant. Reason as to why Midori or Horonigai himself was there eroded like sand washed by water. All he wanted... rather all that he felt he needed to do was hurt Midori. Hit her, break her, acquaint her face with an igneous carbon created structure until such formations break between his fist and her skull. After the previous body flicker, the Kyōbō shot his right fist straight at Midori. The Doton knuckledusters positioned carefully haphazardly to deliver more pain to the recipient if they did connect. She hurt him, used Mako to hurt him, a sin Horonigai could not, will not take lightly.

Much like the mission he was on with them... Ouritsu and Midori, no thoughts echoed in his head, just a steady silence; a haunting focus bent on solely this one concept, take out Midori. She must have been the one that made that kid kill Mako, why else would she still be hurting him? What better reason was there? This wasn't training, it was hell. That never meant he stop, it only meant for him to fight harder. It was in this vein that Horonigai would move to feint his initial jab, moving into a uppercut, nails digging into his skin, drawing his own blood as he prepared himself to draw more blood from the sage.

Why was she doing this? Why?

SPECIAL ABILITIES USED:
Weaponized Chakra

Horonigai's clan, Kyōbō, grants all members a unique ability with chakra. It not only gives the aesthetic of violet chakra but said chakra can be weaponized. Meaning weapons can be formed by this, attacks/jutsus can be enhanced, or the chakra auras created literally bend to attack an opponent. This unique trait is enhanced dependently with anger and can be controlled if the Kyōbō's actions can control their emotions, this is not Horonigai's case. During steady inclinations of anger or a sense/motive for bloodlust can Horonigai access this ability. The more anger he has, the stronger his attacks are. Horonigai is more attuned to much more forceful attacks by great outbursts of anger. These attributes, in essence, makes him a true berserker. He is trying to learn how to better control his emotions and use the precision attributes of his KKG; however, his body is hard tuned to the explosive rage effects of his KKG.

Large Kyōbō Chakra Pool

Along with weaponized chakra as part of his clan KKG, Hirongai's body is naturally attuned to having a large chakra pool that enables him to utilize more Ninjutsu based attacks. This significantly larger pool comes at a hefty price. While Horonigai is quite capable of having good control, he is in no way refined, having slight leakage after casting jutsu, like not turning a faucet completely off, drops of water leaking. This is what happens with his chakra. In no way is it as large as a jinchuuriki, the pool is significantly larger than shinobi at his current skill level.

Pain Tolerance

Being fueled by anger is one thing, an increased tolerance that heightens with emotion is just terrible. While 'efficient' in combat to not feel certain levels of pain. When enrage by his Kyōbō bloodline emotions, Horonigai fights not as much shrugging pain off but choosing to ignore it. This means certain levels of pain can get through depending on his. When fully enraged, Horonigai can tolerate moderate to severe pain. In mild to moderate anger, the Kyobo can tolerate slight to moderate pain. When Horonigai is docile or only slightly anger, he can only tolerate slight pain without issue.

The earth is hardened using chakra giving it durability that is hard to break. The sculpted earth can be reshaped at any time but the size of the object cannot be increased. In this case the weapon made a pair of knuckledusters around each fist.

She watched him carefully, his movements and his angles as well as the techniques that he was using to supplement his attack. The doton on his fist wouldn’t feel too great if she were to take a direct hit, but that was fine because she didn’t exactly plan on it. Anger seeped from his demeanor, his energy, everything about him from his posture to his facial expressions showed that he only wanted to hurt Midori for hurting him, did he not want to prove her wrong though? His emotions were wild and all over the place, Midori could tell however that they were authentic...genuine in nature. Pure raw emotion.

The first punch that the boy prepared for seemed to be a straightforward jab towards the woman, way too direct. She prepared herself to simply take a step to the side, but once she saw that it was a faint, Midori would take a step back, allowing the first to catch nothing but air. Once he was out of position and hopefully thrown off guard, Midori would deliver a spinning rear kick to hopefully throw him away a few yards or so, as she did so, chakra would flow into her long hair and chase after Horonigai as he flew backwards. 4 tendrils of hair shot towards him with great speed looking to grab a hold of each limb.

"Don’t be silly. You won’t be able to touch me if you don’t calm your emotions. Let them set a fire within you, but don’t act blindly off of them.”

The sage spoke out a decent distance away. Her time of belittling was done, now she had to make sure that Horonigai was getting the best advice that she could possibly give, and hopefully he’ll learn to refine and control his anger to the point where he’s a force to be dealt with. However, from here on out he would be getting the sage at relative full strength, albeit she had no intention of harming him badly.

Chakra poured into the user's hair will extend violently, reaching out like many dense tendrils of fibers. The hair, becoming hard and tough like steel, aims to ensnare and bind targets within thirty meters, their sharpened tips boring into their bodies as it seemingly stitches them while knotting around them. This works well to halt the movements of even massive beasts, not to mention halt several dozen shinboi at once. These tendrils are capable of shaping their ends into what appears to be a lion's mouth, filled with a maw filled with razor sharp iron-rending teeth. Hungry for blood, the beastly endings to these binding tendrils work to finish off whatever prey the user may have caught. With the amount of hair created on average, shinobi are typically able toe create up to twelve individual massed tendrils of hair.

He reached for the punch, he was almost certain such a strike would have hit yet it did not. Horonigai held his fist in the air, trying to figure where exactly he went wrong; a mistake he would soon come to regret. Before the adolescent could react, a strong reverse heel kick connected with the boy's open torso. It stung, it definitely hurt, however, that wasn't Horonigai's worry. What was was the sudden push back the kick had. It was enough force to toss the Chūnin like a ragdoll. But he didn't even get far as multiple tendrils created out of hair strands raced to the Kyōbō, restraining him by each individual limb.

The boy struggled, and struggle more, he was writhing just to get free. After a bit of straight grunting and groaning, the Kyōbō found his voice, "Let me go! Let. Me. Go! I will smack you silly, let me go and we'll get this over with!" Horonigai yelled, the shell all but gone as he heard out Midori's words... It didn't quite add up, it was like first she was taunting him, now she's helping him... Was it a trap? No matter, Horonigai was given keys, now he just needed to figure the lock.

Pulling his limbs tight, the adolescent growled in frustration as he struggled again, the auric shell only briefly flickering as he thrashed his limbs about. He was going to get out, he had to get out. He wasn't going to let Mako down again. The Kyōbō continued struggling in an erratic pattern, the shell slowly flickering in tune with his struggles. What even was this hair?

The tough tendrils of hair held the boy up off of the ground, as Midori stared at him with her soft light brown eyes. Watching his struggle and fighting against the constraints that she had upon him. All though she was calm and collected, her mind worried for the child, if he didn’t master his anger, his emotions, then he would just be throwing himself in danger, and that was the last thing that Midori wanted to see from an Iwagakure shinobi. As he rambled and rambled, telling the woman to let him go so that he could attack her some more, Midori would simply shake her head gently from side to side, a soft breath of air blew from her lips.

"Fine.” The woman’s voice was soft, sweet, and gentle - yet it held a very authoritative tone to it, reminding the boy of just who she was. Bringing the tendrils of hair back just a bit, the girl would use them to whip the teen across the ground, sending him tumbling back, dust kicking up in the air as his body rolled.

"If you don’t control your anger then...you’ll die here.” She spoke with purpose, meaning behind every inch of her tone and demeanor. This was how she was to those who she taught frequently, her kindness fading from existence as her eyes were dead set on producing results. Her nindo, "It's for the better”, meant that if he were to die here, it would be better than him dying later by the hands of enemy shinobi. It was a side of Midori that wasn’t shown too often.

Horonigai was suspended in the air one minute and thrown to the ground, kicking up dust the next minute. Midori's words finally made an impact on him, warning him to control his anger or that he'll die. The Chūnin wanted to scream or yell out, instead, he simply got up. Shallow breaths slowly being elongated as he tried to gather himself, it was similar to his fight against the bandits, the very ones that took Kotori's life. Horonigai didn't think of it, he tried not to think about it though. But he was knocked out of rage and he was able to think clearly, despite knocking at death's door.

The Kyōbō suddenly remembered why he was here, and then Midori's words rang even louder. He rose a single hand seal, causing the pulse of energy around him before a chakra shell emerged, and the indigo aura took form, Horonigai quickly adjusted his hand to make a new hand seal before the indigo aura intensified. "I'm tired of crying for people who aren't here no more. And if I can change that, why am I so fucking worthless?" Horonigai muttered to himself as he got himself ready. Small stones rising up around the boy, floating as if to demonstrate his power.

It was a ruse but she didn't need to know that, how the hell was he going to hit her. I got an idea. The Kyōbō thought, his resolve cemented as he weaved seals to put his hands to his head. "Raiton: Senkō Mosu!" Horonigai shouted before a beam of light shined brightly in front of him. In hopes that he did stun Midori, the Kyōbō raced to give her the strongest sucker-punch he could muster. Only to whip around and backfist the other side of Midori's face. A cherry ontop is him kicking her back like she kicked him.

A very basic but vital jutsu needed to use the weaponized chakra of the Kyōbō. This jutsu begins amassing the Kyōbō's natural chakra, releasing a singular aura of overwhelming power. Similar to Fōkasu [Focus] can not block, rather, disrupt attacks of low strength attacks of low velocity by offering a mild singular pulse of energy upon execution. It does not stop the actual force of the impact, if anything, this jutsu grants a breather of space. The strength behind this release of chakra loosens any grip at one time for a total length of 6 inches from the user, unless the gripping jutsu is as strong or even stronger in power. Following the aesthetic theme, this purple/indigo aura extends an outward reach of a meter to the user and coats them up to only slightly above their head with the radiating chakra This aura doesn't add in the push back but appears as such.

DESCRIPTION:
A very simple maneuver that can be quite taxing to the user. This piggy-backs off the aesthetics the Kyōbō favor so much to use. The amass of chakra is solely for intimidation, causing the purple shell around the user to glow more vibrant than before. Depending on the user, the second aura reacts violently. How it reacts also depends on the Chakra Nature a user has. While the Aura grows immensely in size, the added visual effects are a prime intimidation tactic. Doton Chakra natures have the effect of: small Earthern stones, rocks, and pebbles levitate in the air as if the chakra was manipulating them to be lethal.

DESCRIPTION:
The user will perform the needed Handsigns and focus Raiton chakra to a single point above the forehead to cause an instant flash of light to be produced that can blind anyone directly staring at the point of origin for about ten Seconds. This is a great tactical move for those attempting an escape.

As the boy’s chakra seemed to grow more and more intense, Midori would raise a single arm and hand to shield her eyes from any debris that might have been weaponized. It was a common reflex to shield the most vulnerable parts of the body, especially the eyes when dirt and debris was being kicked up. Though, despite that fact the jutsu itself didn’t put any fear in the woman’s heart - it simply just made her believe that he might’ve been getting stronger but she wasn’t too sure.

Clicking her teeth behind her gritted teeth, Midori would feel the pain in Horonigai’s voice and tone as he talked down on himself. It was alright to feel as if you weren’t being the best that you could be, however he shouldn’t truly believe that. You’re not worthless.. The woman thought to herself as the boy made his next move.

Her eyes remained focused on him to see what he would do, to see if he were trying to control his emotions, or if he were just acting out of blind rage. Looking on, a flash of light would temporarily blind the woman, though she couldn’t say that she didn’t see it coming. However, it wasn’t a head on attack fueled by rage - so Midori believed he was making progress. Nevertheless, as he dashed in to land a strike, the woman would shield her face once she knew that he was in range. Both strikes aimed for her face she would counter from instinct alone, everyone always wanted to punch the face, it was human nature.

However, blocking and partying the first two strikes would leave her open for the kick to the stomach that would send her flying backwards into a flip. Recovering quickly, the sage would use one of her hands to springboard her back into her feet as the other hand stealthily reached into her pouch and grabbed a scroll. As she landed back onto her feet, the scroll would release 4 smoke bombs, coating the woman in a thick cloud.

Behind the smokescreen Midori would summon three shadow clones. Three of them would weave their hands together to launch one of the clones high into the sky, once that was done, the three Midori’s would lock hands with one another and began spinning in a circle as fast as they possibly could before launching each other one by one towards Horonigai like they were shot out of a cannon, the real Midori remaining behind of course. The clones would look to tackle the boy and allow the airborne clone to land a strike if they were given the chance.
