Much like every other day in this dreadful and dry city, the temperature outside was freezing as Kazui and a handful of other shinobi were led into this huge arena by a single entrance towards the back. The entrance led into an empty hallway which then had two options. The first being to keep straight which would probably lead them into the heart of the arena. The second option however was the one that was taken, which led the group of genin into a bunker with a large window that gave them a great look at the field, which meant they could watch the fights.

Kazui would grab a seat on the end of the bench, while others talked amongst one another, she was simply trying to keep her composure. Saying that she wasn’t nervous would be a lie, the girl had butterflies in her stomach as her eyes veered out of the window, taking in the thousands of people in the audience. A few familiar faces could be seen, but only a few stood out; Kazuto, Hiruko, Yusuke, and even Yuuta. Not to forget Lady Niko as well. Everybody of importance was in the arena, and all eyes were on them. As the introduction ceremony came to a close, the crowd grew louder and louder. That’s when the first fight was announced, and of course Kazui was going first.

Closing her eyes, the girl would take a deep breath. All the butterflies in her stomach disappeared as she made sure she had everything, nodding to the proctor that she was ready, and made her way out to the arena. Opposite to her was the white haired boy, Toru. They once worked side by side for a moment, but now he was her opponent. However, she couldn’t quite say that she was surprised.

Standing across from her opposition the girl would slightly bow and nod her head to tell the proctors that she was ready to get things underway.

The days would trickle by, it was a while, but it was enough to give all of them a chance to recover from the first two grueling exam rounds. Toru would train to keep himself and his techniques sharp as a fiddle but soon came the final round. The day arrived surprisingly swiftly. All of those who passed would be taken to a huge arena, the kind that Toru had only dreamt of, although he seldom dreamt of huge arenas.

They were all led to a bunker, told of the rules, what they were to expect, and then allowed to sit and watch the exams. Toru sat, messing with a piece of cloth upon his trousers, his jaw tight. Physically nervous, but mentally deciding what he was to do. The crowd filtered in, he could see them from the outside. Truly it was the crowd that made him nervous, a fight he could do... Why did they have to have an audience?

Unsurprisingly, his name was called first. At least he got to get it out of the way. Making sure that everything that he needed was on him - although this was probably a bad time to do so - bokken and Aoi Kiri being the two most important pieces here. Either way, he followed the proctor and stepped onto the densely barren field.

His footing solidified against the ground, and he looked up to see Kazui across the field. An ironic twist to their brief partnership during the second round. Now, they were to face off.

Toru took one deep breath in, exhaled, and looked at the proctor. They were ready. And the crowd seemed to be as well, so it seemed they were allowed to attack.

Dark hues remained focused on the target ahead as the most shinobi would signify that he was ready to get things started. And so the proctor would start the round, they had an hour to make an impression, but really that was more than enough time. Kazui would be hesitant however, taking a deep breath and feeling all of the nerves that seemed to haunt her prior just washed away. She was in her element, doing what she enjoyed doing. The sounds of the crowd was loud enough to rock the arena, yet Kazui still managed to drown out all of the noise, every distraction, and focus on one person and one person only, Toru.

She began analyzing him before he even made a move. This would be their first time fighting, however Kazui had seen the boy around plenty of times. As her hand began to reach for her own blade, she would think to herself, "What would he most likely start with?” The answer seemed quite obvious, he would start with his blade. So Kazui understood that getting into a fencing match probably wouldn’t be the best idea, at least not yet. So instead of grabbing ahold of her sword, the girl would quickly grab two shuriken from her pouch and launch them at the boy, seeing how he would react. The blades would home in towards the boy from two different angles, the left and the right, bending and changing directions as they cut through the cold crisp wind. The crowd might have found this boring, but Kazui was never the one to rush into things blindly. She would much rather wait and look for something that could give her the upper hand in the long run. And so she would stick to what she knew.

They were signaled to begin, and it was not quite as hasty as he believed everything would start initially. They continued to stand, almost anti-climatically for a moment. Toru's hand moving to his blade in instinct, but only bracing his palm against the hilt, not yet drawing. Two shuriken would fly at him, from the left and the right, he would move down ducking simply not caring if one would knick a hair on his head or something like that. Likely they would fly past him and into the wall behind where he stood, at least that is what he assumed.

Now he was squatted and his muscles were coiled for a jump if it was required of him, however, he would begin his end as he most often did. Obscuring vision. A single hand seal and a whisper, before the whole arena, was covered in a thick fog. This would also prevent the other contestants from watching the battle in full. All they would know was fog.

After this, he would pull out a senbon and throw it in Kazui's last known direction. It was thrown blind, mostly to get her to move while he would start to move with a slow step, minimizing the noise he created as he recalled what she had revealed during the second round. It wasn't much, but she had said she was a tactician, and that she had weak fire style techniques... She had a sword... One she was comfortable using since he had drawn it on him some time ago as a gut reaction...

That was when he decided on what he would do, he would draw his sword and begin to move towards her, he was still quiet but a number faster than his calculated step moments before.

The ninja tools would zip just over Toru as he ducked beneath the spinning blades, clipping a few strands from his hair as he did so. Kazui was more or less expecting him to utilize his blade to deflect them, but completely dodging them gave her a good bit of information as well. Her dark hues remained focused on the boy, his legs were loaded as if he were going to spring forward, so Kazui would reach for the hilt of her blade just in case.However, he chose not to leap towards her. Instead, the young mist shinobi would look up towards Kazui and weave a single hand seal, and the girl would do the same. In that instance a thick layer of mist would quickly begin to engulf the battlefield, obscuring not only Kazui’s vision, but the vision of those who were spectating.

The girl began backing up as she tried to get a grip on what Toru was using. "Is this genjutsu?” She would ask herself in her own mind."No, this has to be ninjutsu.” Based on the reaction that they received from the crowd, it was obvious to Kazui that this wasn’t just something she had to deal with alone, which also meant Toru would have a tough time trying to see as well, even though this was now his domain. Before the girl could move on with her plan of action, a sharp pain would shoot through her right shoulder. Part of her wanted to scream, but instead she opted to grunt to ensure she remained calm and silent.

That little bastard. The girl was as blind as a bat and now had a small wound in her shoulder as she pulled the blade from her flesh and hid it within her mouth. Lucky enough the senbon wasn’t laced with poison or amped with chakra, then she might have been in some serious trouble, but all that she suffered was a small stab in her shoulder, nothing that couldn’t heal on its own over time.

Wandering around blindly, Kazui would bump into one of the boulders that rested on the battlefield, waiting for Toru to reveal himself.

He kept moving, his ears alert for any sound, and since it was near impossible for the two of them to be totally silent he would eventually note some pattering. A lot of the crowd had seemed to have gone quiet as well, they were probably upset that they couldn't see the action but Toru liked it this way. He felt as if this were some sort of thing that shouldn't be made a spectacle of. He firmly believed in this, in fact. Enough to blind himself usually in these sorts of scenarios.

Toru exhaled quietly to himself, watching, noting for movements in the mist.

He didn't see any, especially as he walked upon the earth that Kazui had once stood on, only moments ago. Would be useful to have Takashi here, but he had done this before without the wolf, so he would go ahead without the dog. He moved past towards the wall, finding no senbon here. It must have hit and she must have taken it with her. Curious.

The arena wasn't exactly gargantuan or anything, so he would eventually run across her, but she couldn't have moved horribly far without making a lot of noise... So he hoped that she was close and banked on her proximity, letting out a shrill whistle, horrible sounding, piercing the air. The majority of the stadium would hear it, but only one was the target.

Upon hearing the whistle, the world would begin to spin making it hard to get up or move without falling over. Toru would maintain the jutsu, but begin to move using this attack to find Kazui. If she fell, he would hear the thunks against the ground if she struggled... He was hoping that it would take her a moment to realize that it was genjutsu... But he'd move fast, coming out from the mist whilst she was still downed - if she was downed - moving with his normally blinding speed. The intention was to drive the blade into her, a stab through the midsection around her stomach which upon him pulling out Aoi Kiri would cause stomach acid and blood to leak out causing a plethora of issues.

In more plain terms, Toru can match the speeds of genin who are bukijutsu and taijutsu primary specialists and easily outrun and untrained chuunin.

Toru has impeccable control over his body and muscles, to the point that he appears as if he might be dancing around his opponents with mockery. Not only quick on his feet, he seems to have the reflexes to go along with his speed. It takes a similarly lithe and feline-like opponent to land a proper hit on the small boy. A chuunin with similar speed and reflexes - and proper training - can tire Toru out properly enough to do so, or perhaps a genin although it may take longer. Toru is an almost slimy opponent and is difficult to pin down.

Enhanced Chakra Reserves
Gifted with a larger than normal chakra pool, Toru can easily utilize a series of jutsu without tiring out as quickly as others. Stronger and higher ranked jutsu don't drain him quite as easily and anything with a continuous drain seems to last longer as well.

Kazui never stopped moving, once she found something that was recognizable she stuck to it’s side as she continued to follow the stones, her fingers tracing against the ice cold boulders as she searched around, trying to find her way through this annoying mist that Toru was hiding behind. The crowd began to grow stagnant, quiet as some of them watched on cluelessly, those who were sensors had no trouble following the action but unfortunately not everyone was blessed with such an ability.

"How could someone even make a jutsu like this useful? Based on the fact that he hasn’t found me yet, I can tell he’s having just as much trouble as I am.” The girl would think to herself as she clutched and caressed the wound just above her arm, stopping the bleeding before it could create a trail. However, the answer to her question was simple, they would have to rely on their senses, either their sense of hearing or sense of smell. That was a given, and since she didn’t remember Toru mentioning anything about having a keen sense of smell, that would narrow the options down even more, leaving sound as the sole indicator that Toru could use to track her, and vise versa.

So long as she remained quiet, she would be fine. That was until a cold whistle would cut through the silence, giving away Toru’s location. He was on the opposite side of the arena, they had only swapped locations. But before Kazui could act on the information, everything began to spin, wildly. She was completely robbed of her balance as she fell shoulder first onto the rock and then onto the floor. This wasn’t right. Surely. Kazui knew that this wasn’t natural, for her to lose balance all of a sudden. It definitely had to be a genjutsu. A single hand seal was formed as she expelled her chakra and disrupted the flow of the technique and surely enough everything would return to normal, but she could hear Toru quickly homing in towards her location, and surely enough there he was wielding his blade. But what would catch him by surprise would be that his vision wasn’t the same as it was before the mist arose, instead he would be seeing doubles as he swung his blade. And there would be no accuracy or precision in his strike, the metal would simply meet with the cold hard stone as Kazui quickly stepped to the side, and in return the very senbon that he had thrown previously would be spat back towards his face.

Such a cowardly way to fight. At least that’s how she felt in the moment, although she had to admit it was a good idea. However, with Toru thrown off, Kazui would waste no time to fade back into the mist and away from the boy, moving quickly with purpose yet quietly enough for her to remain undetected as she moved around the arena.

Extreme Intelligence
Kazui is an outstanding scholar and is incredibly intelligent for her age whether she knows it or not. Albeit that she is still very young and is still growing, her intelligence is nothing short of greatness. This ability is shown less when she is living her day to day life, and is shown more when she is in the midst of battle. In her day to day life, Kazui can guess riddles, solve puzzles, and crack any kind of code in only a few moments. These feats are passive to the young girl, and she doesn't think it's that great, it just seems easy to her. On the battlefield, Kazui is able to formulate numerous plans and strategies to fit whatever situation she and her teammates are in.

Enhanced Speed
As a child, Kazui was born weaker than others. Her health conditions set the girl at a disadvantage since birth, however her constant effort and drive to become the best has pushed her far beyond many others the same rank as herself. Her speed is nothing to be taken lightly, she has pushed herself physically to be able to not only outpace her opponent, but outright force them into keeping up with her and pushing them to the brink with her speed as well. The girl is fast, quick, and agile on her feet, even rivaling those who dedicated their life to the art of taijutsu.

Enhanced Chakra Control
There was a problem that Kazui noticed during her time in the academy and that was the fact that she often found herself tiring out and exhausting herself rather quickly, even when she had just started she could feel herself beginning to wilt. So to counter those measures, the girl studied and asked around, trying to find the reason behind it and if there was a way she could fix it. She wasn’t born with massive reserves so while she utilized her justus, she often did so wastefully. But now, the girl has managed to control the amount of chakra she uses in a technique that allows her to fight much longer than before. She uses the absolute bare minimum of the chakra that’s needed, and not a drop more.

Kai is a technique invented to counteract the targeting of Genjutsu, working by halting one's chakra flow with a hand seal before drastically increasing the rate of chakra flow within oneself, forcing the opposing chakra out of the body. This can also be used on another person by manually forcing a surge of chakra into their body through direct contact, breaking them of their mesmerized state. One's skill to break an illusion depends on their skill and understanding of Genjutsu, as some may prove too powerful to escape by conventional means.

DESCRIPTION:
An extremely simple bukijutsu that requires the use of a senbon. The user must prepare this jutsu ahead of time by placing a small senbon inside their mouth. The user then wraps their tongue around the senbon to act like a pipe of sorts and sticks it out of their lips. The user then blows hard sending the senbon flying 2-3m. The senbon doesn't really have enough force to penetrate and would only give the slightest of pin pricks to skin making this jutsu less suited for combat and more suited for school yard pranks. However, it can still be considered somewhat dangerous as a hit to the eye could cause some notable damage.

He hit a rock, and there were two Kazui's. Or at least he was seeing two, but it was not because there were clones, no this was a really odd unstable version of seeing two as if he were getting a headache from overworking. But he didn't have a headache, he was just seeing two of her. His sword easily dislodged from the stone as he used the leverage to move up onto the rock, coincidentally also missing the senbon that was shot at the side of his face simultaneously.

A new plan of attack was now absolutely necessary. Although he was wondering why she was walking around - he was assuming as she had disappeared into the mist again - aimlessly. Was she trying to come up with a plan? He wasn't sure, but he had to keep her on her feet somehow, right? He had no idea where she was but had a general idea since she had disappeared in a singular direction...

Toru carefully slid down his rock, pulled out a kunai, and threw it into his last known location of Kazui. He would thusly reveal his location. Though what happened next would not necessarily matter if she decided to come for him or not - the kunai intending to coax out of her a location - instead he would wander away from his revealed location, but not too far.

He would weave three hand seals, point his sword into what he believed Kazui's location to be, and emit a jet of water. Which, should be enough - arguably - to blast her (at least soak her) and hopefully disrupt her jutsu. Of course, he would have to move his sword around a bit until it hit a target - if it would even do such a thing - ultimately though, Toru would stop if he didn't hit a mark as he didn't desire to continue spending chakra if he wasn't hitting anything other than ground and rocks.

Stepping towards one of the many puddles he created though he would wait in silence. He breathed in and prepared another jutsu although this time he seemed to truly disappear without a trace. Perhaps Kazui would find the trails of water, perhaps not, time would tell.

Synopsis so I'm not confusing: Toru hits boulder, and then jumps onto it avoiding senbon. He decides to come down from rock after new plan, throws kunai in her last known location. Moves a bit, and then uses Suihashu leaving puddles of water to his location in an attempt to throw Kazui back via jet stream. He disappears into one of the puddles.

This makes the jutsu good for ambushes and surprise attacks, as it allows the user to appear then vanish without a trace.

Watching as Toru’s blade dug deep into one of the stones, Kazui would return the senbon that was hidden in her mouth back towards the sender, spitting it at him. But the boy managed to unlodge his blade rather quickly and scaled the stone to elude any sort of danger. Kazui on the other hand would not stick around to see if Toru had anything up his sleeve, once the tiny blade was shot from her lips the girl would quickly make off into the mist again, wandering aimlessly. She could’ve sat there and fought him up close in the mist...like he probably wanted her to, but Kazui would not allow him to dictate the fight much longer.

They were in an arena, a circular arena which meant no matter where she walked or traveled, so long as she moved in any direction she would eventually find a wall, and that’s what she did. However, as she traveled through the mist, a kunai would zip past her and eventually lodge into something, making a thud sound as it did so. He was off by a few feet to the right but it showed that Toru had a general sense of where she was, so the girl would quickly change her direction walking further away from where the kunai was thrown. Kazui wouldn’t worry about it too much. Luckily for her when she made the sudden change in direction she was almost instantly met with resistance. It was something cold and solid, and based on the shape, it was far from being a stone.

"Bingo.” She would think to herself as she quickly scaled the wall all the way up until she stood just above the mist. He wouldn’t think to aim high, and she knew that. The fact that he threw a kunai at the girl’s height level confirmed that theory. Finally some clarity, but Kazui understood that her fight wasn’t in the sky, they weren’t birds. If she wanted to finish the fight, she would eventually have to go back down there or else Toru would be wandering around aimlessly looking for her.

Nevertheless, Kazui squatted down and began observing the mist. There was little to no visibility, and the aerial view wasn’t helping at all. So she decided to listen, and as she did so, the sound of water violently crashing against objects could be heard. It sounded like a jet stream being moved from side to side. The girl would try to pinpoint his location from the jutsu, but unfortunately she would only be able to get a general sense of where the attack came from. Her eyes shifted from side to side and she decided to just pick an area in between where the water was shot and where she thought it came from. She waited for his jutsu to die down before quickly forming six handseals, the girl would then gather her chakra within her gullet as she drew in a deep breath, when she exhaled, a massive orb of fire would quickly make its way towards the arena’s floor.

The fireball shot towards the ground below vigorously, colliding with the cold earth with ferocity before dispersing its heat and flames throughout the vicinity. Surely the heat from the jutsu would be enough to rid the arena of the mist. Kazui would remain standing on the wall, waiting for the smoke to clear so that she could scan the area. However, once the smoke did clear, a huge crater could be seen by all who watched, and any water within the area surely would have evaporated as a few flames still continued to burn even after the jutsu was said and done.

His eyes were adjusting, enough now as he remained still in the water looking up from the puddle onto the world above. He was able to realize what was a double of something and what was the original. The more time passed the more he was able to do so. Silence prevailed as he waited, and then came a large fire, he saw twos of it so that was kind of odd. It would part the mist from the wind it generated, burning into the ground. It didn't make a direct hit with his puddle since it was in direct line of the center boulder, which would help cut the flames just long enough for Toru to leap out of the puddle and move into the receding mist on the edge of the arena, and thusly the walls.

Now, he knew her exact position and it wouldn't take long to get to her. So he moved. Quickly running, while the flames were still roaring from her lips and making noise. It lasted long enough to make the arena annoyingly hot - like that blasted desert biome he had to go through - but ultimately things would settle and unlike what Kazui believed would happen with the mist the opposite occurred.

The mist, being mostly air with particles of water seemed to roll back in when the fire was all gone, slowly filling in space where the crater was. It would give Kazui a very brief view of the area though - not the edges of the arena - and Toru was nowhere to be found, at least not in her direct view.

Actually, Toru was already to her position, speeding to her like a comet having used the distraction of her casting the fire to close in on her location as she started to survey the area. He came from below where the fire tapered due to coming out of her mouth and where the mist still remained - on the edges of the arena.

His sword practically invisible as he swung it, meant to catch her diagonally from her left shoulder down to her right hip across the entirety of her midsection, and on the off chance she avoided this blurring swing - Toru's annoyance aside - he would follow up, always, with another more practical swing technical and horizontal the tip of the katana meant to get Kazui's escaping form from shoulder to shoulder, dangerously close to the neck arteries and brachial arteries of the arms, at least enough to cause severe mobility issues.

So much for the sneaky way to attack.

Synopsis: Kazui casts fire, Toru jumps out of puddle (reflex SA) and gets into mist/edge of arena. He heads for Kazui's location using the edge of the arena whilst the fire is still being cast/burning and comes upon her as she starts to survey the area (speed SA) to slice at her diagonally and if dodged horizontally immediately (kenjutsu SA). (The mist filling back in is what I was told would happen since I asked because I had no idea what mist v fire does, the double vision adjustment is also something I was given permission for.)

Toru had a great deal of knowledge when it comes to weaponry, but his love lies in swords. As a genin his skill and movement with a sword is unparalleled and akin to a prodigy. The sword is just an extension of his body and who he is. When a blade is in his hands he strikes his enemies down quickly and doesn't seem to hesitate when he does so. The form of his body is that of someone who has trained in the art for quite some time, and it is no surprise when he is able to go toe-to-toe with chuunin have never swung a sword.

Speed Like Wind
Toru uses his lithe frame to move around quickly and his training with kenjutsu combined with his desire to be faster has brought to the point that he is at today. In top physical form, he is much faster than not only the average genin but can parallel the speeds of chuunin going at their very quickest - this is generally only true of those have not trained and honed the skills that he has. In more plain terms, Toru can match the speeds of genin who are bukijutsu and taijutsu primary specialists and easily outrun and untrained chuunin.

Lightning Reflex
Toru has impeccable control over his body and muscles, to the point that he appears as if he might be dancing around his opponents with mockery. Not only quick on his feet, he seems to have the reflexes to go along with his speed. It takes a similarly lithe and feline-like opponent to land a proper hit on the small boy. A chuunin with similar speed and reflexes - and proper training - can tire Toru out properly enough to do so, or perhaps a genin although it may take longer. Toru is an almost slimy opponent and is difficult to pin down.

Enhanced Chakra Reserves
Gifted with a larger than normal chakra pool, Toru can easily utilize a series of jutsu without tiring out as quickly as others. Stronger and higher ranked jutsu don't drain him quite as easily and anything with a continuous drain seems to last longer as well.

Due to the manner that Hidden Mist Jutsu works, I'm not even sure how high the fog would be, as it normally covers an even larger area and never has it's height been shown. However even if the mist is half the height the arena walls, the moisture and fog left would certainly fill in the gap created by a single fireball jutsu. 

Due to the simplicity of Double Vision both in concept and actual rank, I do think after three post rotations the user would have barrings on the illusion, as in decipher the logical location of the target. This certainly doesn't stop the hindrance and confusion of double vision. "Using this technique the user could suddenly cause a weapon or taijutsu user to have their combat effectiveness drastically reduced." To me the drastic reduction would be the immediate surprise and comprehension of the double vision, hence it being a sudden reduction of their effectiveness.

In other words; Toru's combat effectiveness is definitely worst than not under the genjutsu, but he's likely much closer to his average skill level than when the jutsu first hit him. I think for an incredibly easy to get off and common jutsu to use that's a logic extent to it's abilities.

On the note of abilities though, I'd like to point out that I don't see any SA on Toru to have any better understanding where Kazui is than she knows where Toru stands. 

Final Verdict; Mist isn't dispersed, so the fireball created a direct line of sight clearance as well as a blast area of sight where it struck. This area will be mostly filled in by the end of the this coming post rotation. Toru can have better deciphered his sight situation, but needs to make sure he doesn't over step his lenience.

The fireball didn’t work out as planned, Kazui thought that since mist was the byproduct of warm humid air being cooled quickly, that warming the arena with a direct fire attack would be the best chance of dispersing it, but that wasn’t the case here. Instead, the comet would create a direct line of vision as well as the area of effect for the girl to look. There was still mist around the edges for the most part, but even if there was some mist, it wouldn’t be as thick as it was before. So Kazui would activate her sharingan, her irises changing from the typical dark hues that she donned, to a crimson pigmentation as her gaze continued to avert from one place to another. She had a great aerial view of the entire area, and even though she couldn’t make out all the details, she was definitely able to see if anything arose from the mist, and something did.

Toru would zip through the mist and up the wall, homing in towards Kazui’s location, he was fast but his speed wasn’t anything the girl hadn’t seen before. She had already fired off the fireball in one go, so there was nothing distracting her from realizing that the boy was dashing towards her location. His movements and attacks were straightforward, easy to telegraph. So, when he swung his sword, Kazui would build up energy and take a small leap backwards, creating distance between the two. Locating and grabbing one of the smoke bombs from her pouch hastily, the girl would toss it just shy of Toru just before she made contact with the wall again. Before the smoke bomb would land however, she would quickly begin forming three handseals. And just as the smoke would poof into existence, the teen would breath more fire, this time releasing six miniature fireballs, all taking a somewhat different angle towards him, and with her off hand she would quickly throw six shuriken inside the fireballs - one shuriken for each and each shuriken with wire attached - but he wouldn’t be able to tell. With her genjutsu still in effect, no matter how adjusted his eyes had become, he would still see 12 fireballs shooting towards him from what seemed like every angle, if he can see them throw the smoke that is.

Extreme Intelligence
Kazui is an outstanding scholar and is incredibly intelligent for her age whether she knows it or not. Albeit that she is still very young and is still growing, her intelligence is nothing short of greatness. This ability is shown less when she is living her day to day life, and is shown more when she is in the midst of battle. In her day to day life, Kazui can guess riddles, solve puzzles, and crack any kind of code in only a few moments. These feats are passive to the young girl, and she doesn't think it's that great, it just seems easy to her. On the battlefield, Kazui is able to formulate numerous plans and strategies to fit whatever situation she and her teammates are in.

Enhanced Speed
As a child, Kazui was born weaker than others. Her health conditions set the girl at a disadvantage since birth, however her constant effort and drive to become the best has pushed her far beyond many others the same rank as herself. Her speed is nothing to be taken lightly, she has pushed herself physically to be able to not only outpace her opponent, but outright force them into keeping up with her and pushing them to the brink with her speed as well. The girl is fast, quick, and agile on her feet, even rivaling those who dedicated their life to the art of taijutsu.

Enhanced Chakra Control
There was a problem that Kazui noticed during her time in the academy and that was the fact that she often found herself tiring out and exhausting herself rather quickly, even when she had just started she could feel herself beginning to wilt. So to counter those measures, the girl studied and asked around, trying to find the reason behind it and if there was a way she could fix it. She wasn’t born with massive reserves so while she utilized her justus, she often did so wastefully. But now, the girl has managed to control the amount of chakra she uses in a technique that allows her to fight much longer than before. She uses the absolute bare minimum of the chakra that’s needed, and not a drop more.

Uchiha Bloodline: One Tomoe Sharingan:
Being born within the Uchiha clan, Kazui has been blessed and/or cursed with a power that only an Uchiha can possess when they have experienced extreme emotions that causes their chakra to pour into their optic nerves, gifting them with the Sharingan, also known as the eyes that reflect the heart. The sharingan gifts the user a variety of abilities for them to use, the most notable is the user’s enhanced perception to the point where everything that is seen is perceived in a somewhat slowed state which gives the user the ability to analyze and obtain a good sense of the opponent’s movements/actions, and while this is in no way comparable to the likes of a more mature sharingan, the ability is not to be taken lightly. In addition it allows the user to read lips, and decode other movements as well, which stems from the eye’s enhanced perceptive abilities. It also allows the user to see chakra in a physical form, and they are then able to assign color to it, the sharingan can also detect disturbances in a person’s chakra which also allows them to see through genjutsu with absolute ease.

A bit of Toru was surprised that the girl was able to match his speed and leap from his blurring sword strike, so when she did he pulled back to not follow up, which was good because a smoke bomb would fly just in front of him, just as it made its arc and made contact with the ground he would push back sliding down the side of the wall avoiding the smoke, but still holding on for a moment, that is until he saw the fireballs. He focused, the doubles they were but not flying all over the place instead they were doubling next to each other, something he was able to decipher with enough focus - he inhaled deeply, the inscription upon his katana glowing blue as he started to swing his sword through the fireballs.

The blade itself capable of extinguishing fires, the fireballs not being particularly large, furthermore the sheer amount he would simply combat with the same wide swing that he had performed before, meant to deflect multiple weapons at once. Although he did not initially see the shuriken inside metal would collide against metal as the fire would be put out and all the shuriken would return to where they came from albeit haphazardly and not necessarily in the same neat trajectory some likely lodging into the arena wall as a result.

After the fireballs were all extinguished, the shuriken and wire deflected he would throw into the smoke from the smoke bomb that was still dissipating a kunai with an explosive tag attached to it into the wall. Toru would leap back once and let out the shrill whistle from before to put Kazui into a genjutsu, which despite knowing that she had been able to get out of it before the circumstances differed in that she was on the wall and would likely lose control and start falling down the wall from disorientation... At least that was the plan. Then he would leap back and off the wall to get out of radius - hoping his movements were at this point obscured by the line of smoke between the two of them and genjutsu he cast as he would activate the seal and if all went well blow Kazui sky high... Along with the arena wall. Hoping to have the genjutsu get her within a rather deadly radius of the explosion, whilst also distracting from the fact that he had in fact thrown something into the smoke.

Synopsis: Toru pulls back his second horizontal attack, and jumps back out of smoke [speed & reflex sa]. Initiates chakra reactive nature of Aoi Kiri to extinguish fireballs and use the bukijutsu (kumo-ryo mikazukigiri) [kenjutsu sa] from before meant to deflect against multiple opponents at once. After this he throws a kunai with an explosive tag into the smoke, makes a little space before whistling (kousou) to cause disorientation and try to make Kazui fall down the wall into smoke. He creates more space to get out of radius before triggering the explosive tag.

As Kazui went through with her attacks, there was something that she noticed, something that she had not paid attention to prior to attacking simply because the boy was dashing towards her like a missle. But as the fireballs home’d in towards his location, the thought finally came up in her mind. With the smoke lingering around, the fireballs would be extinguished by suiton chakra, the same suiton chakra that filled the entire arena, it was no other than Toru’s, but that was obvious. Her shuriken on the other hand were all swatted away, lodging deep into the wall and that was that.

The smoke screen was providing a cover, for her of course, but on the other hand she could see Toru...well his chakra and things of that nature. So when he leapt from the wall, Kazui was able to tell. The kunai however was heard as it lodged into the wall, and the girl wasn’t stupid. She knew and understood that his aim wasn’t that bad that he would accidentally throw a blade into the wall if he were aiming for her, there had to be a reason why he hid it in the smoke. As she quickly thought of this, another whistle would be heard by the girl. Gritting her teeth, she was beginning to get angry. "Again?” She thought to herself. However, the very second she heard the whistle the girl would begin to form a single handseal, she knew it was the same genjutsu that was used earlier, so before the effects could even get the best of her, she would cut it out. Turning her back to the smoke, bending her legs, and leaping from the wall, back down into the mist which had filled the arena again. The tag would explode and send chunks of the wall up into the air and down into the arena, Kazui made sure she would jump well out of harm’s way. Everything grew quite again, and it seemed as if they were back into the cat and mouse scenario, except they weren’t.

"You think you can beat me in my own game?” She thought to herself. The boy was trying to get the better of Kazui by using her own style of fighting against her - genjutsu - at least that’s what she felt. "Hiding behind mist...” She would add on in her mind … but there was no more hiding. You see, the sharingan see’s it all, but more specifically - it sees chakra. And while he would have normally been able to continue to hide behind his screen of mist, unfortunately for him he was still under Kazui’s genjutsu which meant her chakra was linked to him. Her own chakra was different from Toru’s, if he weren’t in the genjutsu then the chakra inside of him would simply blend with the chakra from the mist, since it was his chakra it would mask him from the sharingan’s ability. However, her own chakra stands out like a sore thumb in this mist - a beacon - that allows the girl to see exactly where he was no matter where he hid in it. But even with that knowledge, she could just dash towards him recklessly.

It was quiet. The crowd had returned to their docile state of waiting to see what the outcome would be, and the two shinobi would return to their tropes of wandering the mist. However through the silence, a single clap would ring out, reaching all who listened, but the jutsu was only aimed for one person, Toru. Upon hearing the clap, his vision would return to normal but he would soon find himself sinking where he stood, unable to walk. Every second that passed he would feel himself sinking deeper into the ground, losing mobility in more parts of his body.

To the user it seems impossible to get out, the ground never breaking or relenting. Slowly immobilizing the user, starting with their legs and within two minutes, their entire body. It is easily mistaken for Doton. It can catch one person per casting.

Extreme Intelligence
Kazui is an outstanding scholar and is incredibly intelligent for her age whether she knows it or not. Albeit that she is still very young and is still growing, her intelligence is nothing short of greatness. This ability is shown less when she is living her day to day life, and is shown more when she is in the midst of battle. In her day to day life, Kazui can guess riddles, solve puzzles, and crack any kind of code in only a few moments. These feats are passive to the young girl, and she doesn't think it's that great, it just seems easy to her. On the battlefield, Kazui is able to formulate numerous plans and strategies to fit whatever situation she and her teammates are in.

Enhanced Speed
As a child, Kazui was born weaker than others. Her health conditions set the girl at a disadvantage since birth, however her constant effort and drive to become the best has pushed her far beyond many others the same rank as herself. Her speed is nothing to be taken lightly, she has pushed herself physically to be able to not only outpace her opponent, but outright force them into keeping up with her and pushing them to the brink with her speed as well. The girl is fast, quick, and agile on her feet, even rivaling those who dedicated their life to the art of taijutsu.

Enhanced Chakra Control
There was a problem that Kazui noticed during her time in the academy and that was the fact that she often found herself tiring out and exhausting herself rather quickly, even when she had just started she could feel herself beginning to wilt. So to counter those measures, the girl studied and asked around, trying to find the reason behind it and if there was a way she could fix it. She wasn’t born with massive reserves so while she utilized her justus, she often did so wastefully. But now, the girl has managed to control the amount of chakra she uses in a technique that allows her to fight much longer than before. She uses the absolute bare minimum of the chakra that’s needed, and not a drop more.

Uchiha Bloodline: One Tomoe Sharingan:
Being born within the Uchiha clan, Kazui has been blessed and/or cursed with a power that only an Uchiha can possess when they have experienced extreme emotions that causes their chakra to pour into their optic nerves, gifting them with the Sharingan, also known as the eyes that reflect the heart. The sharingan gifts the user a variety of abilities for them to use, the most notable is the user’s enhanced perception to the point where everything that is seen is perceived in a somewhat slowed state which gives the user the ability to analyze and obtain a good sense of the opponent’s movements/actions, and while this is in no way comparable to the likes of a more mature sharingan, the ability is not to be taken lightly. In addition it allows the user to read lips, and decode other movements as well, which stems from the eye’s enhanced perceptive abilities. It also allows the user to see chakra in a physical form, and they are then able to assign color to it, the sharingan can also detect disturbances in a person’s chakra which also allows them to see through genjutsu with absolute ease.

Results; So a lot was contested so, I'll try to hit each point to make the verdict clear.

Knowing the difference between Kunai and Shuriken; I can't say I know they sound different, but I've heard an axe and a knife hit the same object. To which those sounded different. HOWEVER; that a side, I don't think the deflected shuriken would hit the wall with the force to wedge into it. So Kazui noting the sound of the kunai is fine, but there's two other factors within her favor. You've attached an explosion note, which has a seal on it and thus should be visible to her sharingan anyways. Since it's in the smoke and not the mist she'd see the note. Even if I'm reading it wrong and it's in the mist and it was a shuriken instead of a kunai, an explosion note could probably still be wired to it. So her caution isn't unwarranted.

Dispersing the genjutsu; Sharingan would probably see the chakra from the cast, but more importantly you've already used this genjutsu. As a genjutsu secondary, I think it'd make sense Kazui could disperse a genjutsu as soon as it hits but before it takes control of her. Especially with Sharingan active and you already using the very same genjutsu.

Ability to note her jutsu extinguished; The fire would be visible through the smoke or mist, it's a source of light and even if it wasn't clearly visible it'd visibly effect the appearance of the mist or smoke directly there. I'd also point out that since you're hitting all the shuriken as well, it'd be audible that your swords what's deflecting the shuriken and them deflected shouldn't simply disperse their flame especially immediately upon being hit.

Ability to note that he's jumping back = explosion tag is about to go off: I don't think that Kazui is noting that he jumped backwards, I keep reading and not seeing it. She seems to jump from the wall out of reaction to the situation of the genjutsu being cast after the kunai was thrown. Since Toru jumps back however it places him further behind smoke or mist, so he'd not see Kazui and would of detonated the explosion note out of hope by the reading of the post. So that's why it's fair it went off.
