Heralding from one of Konohagakure’s most illustrious clans, the Senju, Hina discovered at an early age that she had a great aptitude for all manner of shinobi arts. She was a nimble hand-to-hand fighter, an expert with her clan’s mokuton ninjutsu, a capable medic, and even dabbled in fuinjutsu. But most importantly, she was a shrewd tactician, just like her mother, Hanako. During her time as a Genin, she often wore many hats within her team, analyzing the enemy’s strengths, ready to jump into the fight and exploit their weaknesses. She places a high value on reconnaissance and intelligence gathering, and tries to stay as many steps ahead of her enemy as possible. Whenever possible, Hina tries to avoid a ‘fair’ fight, preferring instead to ambush her opponent, catch them in her traps, and apply the maximum force to their least defended opening. She prefers to end a fight as quickly as possible, whether through lethal means, or the wealth of incapacitating jutsu at her disposal. That being said, if the situation demanded it, she was no slouch in matched combat, seamlessly weaving close quarters taujutsu with a barrage of deadly mokuton ninjutsu, attempting to incapacitate the enemy as quickly as possible, binding their limbs with razor-sharp bramble thickets, using her medical ninjutsu to disrupt their nervous system, or mokuton jutsu to drain away every last drop of chakra in their body.
When engaging the enemy, she prefers to stay at long range and use her signature bow, XXXX. If everything goes according to plan, all it would take is a single shot to dispatch her foe, weeks of planning crescendoing in a single moment. When forced into a close-quarters engagement, Hina will typically employ defensive techniques, and a wide range of grappling techniques to disarm or incapacitate her foe, biding her time to assess the situation and formulate a path to victory. She tries to maintain an efficient expenditure of her resources, be it chakra, physical stamina, ninja tools, etc. While she doesn’t favour battles of attrition, she is always trying to keep herself in as combat-ready a state as possible. Generally playing a supporting role in team combat, she is responsible for the well-being of her teammates, keeping them healthy and setting them up for victory. As such, her continued survival means the survival of others, and while her methods may appear callous or cowardly to an inexperienced shinobi, her priorities always lie in the success of the mission. Leveraging the full power of her Byakugo no In, she and her teammates are able to fight in ways far more reckless than the average shinobi, taking advantage of the rapid regeneration abilities to nullify the enemies attacks, and inflict maximum damage as quickly as possible.
Within the Senju clan, taking after her father, Akio, Hina’s mokuton jutsu typically are classified as Seijutsu, sacred techniques. Similar to the classification given to one of their most iconic jutsu, Mokuton Hijutsu: Jukai Kotan, her sacred techniques are not fundamentally different from other mokuton abilities, but rather, reflect their ancient origin amongst nature-revering priests. While not widely known to the people of Konoha, many of their spiritual practices regarding nature and the sanctity of natural objects, whether tree, rock, or lake, come from ancient Senju traditions. Those traditions live on today in her family’s (and the many other shrine-tending senju families’) mokuton seijutsu. Combat Information

Blossoming Beauty of the Senju Clan
Born of the Senju clan, Hina learned at an early age that she had a powerful affinity towards her ancestor's kekkei genkai. Able to turn a bare midwinter forest into a grove of blossoming flowers, or rend earth and stone with the violent lashing of thousand-year-old roots, the power of the Senju's Mokuton techniques are to be feared by the enemies of Konoha. Following in the footsteps of her senpai, Kazuto, she learned to guide her chakra in ways often forgotten by the rest of her clan, gently nurturing and propagating thick canopies of foliage, or dense beds of flowers. Whether to cut down swaths of enemies in a violent storm of petals, or to partake in the restorative properties of the sweet nectar, her creations are anything but delicate.
Priestess of Rebirth
While her resolve and determination hold as firm as any kunoichi of her noble clan, and her willingness to go to any lengths to preserve the peaceful lives enjoyed by the citizens of Konoha, Hina doesn't have the cold blood of a killer. While scores of lives have been taken by the Senju Jōnin, the unpleasant stench of blood lingering in the air after a life has been extinguished on the field of battle haunts her dreams even to this day. Instead, Hina has devoted much of her training towards preserving the lives of those around her, developing mokuton jutsu specialized towards the restorative arts. Tapping into the overflowing font of power that is her Senju lifeforce, her medical jutsu have a much greater restorative effect on their target than the average shinobi.
Fierce Empath
To say that Hina's keen senses were a gift from her mother's astute chakra detection abilities, would fail to grasp the depth of her emotional empathy. Able to read people almost to a fault, from an early age, Hina was able to read, understand, and internalize the feelings of those around her. An emotional sponge, the powerful emotions of those closest to her penetrated every last inch of her tender heart - her romances are passionate and exhilarating, her sorrows deep and agonizing. Perhaps due to the way her brain interprets the added layer of sensory information that is one's chakra signature, she developed such a strong connection with the hearts and minds of others. But what some might consider a blessing, she often considers a curse.
While her detection abilities allow her to read chakra signatures from up to 400m away passively, she can focus her mind to precisely pinpoint one's location up to 2km away. However, in doing so the emotional stress of being around others frays at her nerves to the point of exhaustion. A natural extrovert, and a lover of people, Hina wants nothing more than to be surrounded by loved ones, and thus is locked in a constant struggle against the need to isolate and recover from the emotional fatigue her connections cause.
Nimble Fighter
Despite her outward love of everything typically feminine, the long flowing hair cascading down her back or soft cotton dresses she is so fond of wearing, this kunoichi knows how to throw a punch. having trained as a ninja for virtually her whole life, Hina has developed a style of fighting that relies on quick and agile footwork, and equally quick wits. An incredibly talented acrobat, even by shinobi standards, her long flexible limbs and supple muscles allow her to dance around her enemies, vaulting, flipping, rolling and darting away from incoming blows as if it second nature. And with the deft movement of a feigned blow, she darts under the guard of her foe to land a well-placed deadly strike. In what appeared to be a single motion, the graceful kunoichi slipped back into distance, poised to engage another foe, all before her prey had fallen to the ground.
Unparalleled Chakra Control
Like all good medical professionals, Hina's devotion to the healing arts has lead her to develop an astute control over her chakra pathways, and the degree to which her energies are expelled. The slightest imbalance in her technique, the overexertion of force in her application, or a lack of power when needed all could very quickly result in another life lost under her watch, a fear that has haunted many a dream and left this kunoichi staring up at the starry night sky on more than one occasion. Devoted to her craft, Hina has refined her chakra efficiency and precision to the point of near mastery, beyond what all but the most dedicated of shinobi could hope to accomplish. Having walked the path, and achieved the Byakugo no In, the Strength of a Hundred Seal, her chakra control stands unparalleled.
