Violent delights have violent ends like fire and powder Which as they kiss... consume Deep within the primordial Hi no Kunian Forest, along a forgotten path as old as the forest itself, walked Hyuga Kayaku, missing-nin of Konohagakure. The shinobi made his way along the jagged path, his pace steady as he wasn't really in a rush. Truthfully, Kayaku didn’t even have a set destination, however he knew that after spending time with Sho and then escorting Gure Rokurou back to Konohagakure he’d need to gather his thoughts. "Things have certainly been entertaining for the past couple of weeks'' Kayaku said aloud, shifting through the memories of several events that happened out of thin air. Fate, Destiny, that big ol’plan the universe had for him; turned out to be more than simply training within Hi no Kuni. From reuniting with sho, to finally finding Uchiha Katsuo, it all had been a blur. He had not the time to sort out his own thoughts, let alone his feelings surrounding his own choices he’d taken in the recent weeks.
There were an abundance of situations Kayaku had found himself stumbling into, however the most important dealt with Hyuga Shodaime and Gure Rokurou. Kayaku had finally found his self-proclaimed ward in Gure Rokurou; were actually Uchiha Katsuo; a child who had presumably died years ago. Kayaku couldn’t believe that the boy had survived the fatal incident that had taken his parent’s lives. As if this weren’t a hellacious way to begin life already, Katsuo would end up with a case of amnesia and thought himself to be a lowly orphan. Kayaku knew the truth of the boy’s lineage however. Gure Rokurou as he was now called, was actually the progeny of two immensely influential Konohagakure shinobi; and that was putting it lightly. As advanced as his own skills were, Kayaku didn’t think he could have taken the boy’s parents on and live to tell the tale.
As genin, Kayaku had admired them to the point of drawing the ire of his own Hyuga clan… Not that he really cared. The young heir wanted to gain the affluence that Uchiha Akai and Uchiha Mina had accrued throughout their shinobi career. Unfortunately, his own life would take an entirely different path than he had hoped. Then there was Hyuga Shodaime… Head Medic of Konohgakure, the prodigal blast from HIS past. The former heir had to scold himself for being so oblivious to Shodaime’s feelings in the past. "Good Grief Kayaku, for someone who could literally see kilometers away, Ya sure didn’t see that one coming huh? Poor Shodaime, it must have been pretty hard to deny such feelings” the Hyuga continued to himself as he walked.
"This could be my atonement...” he said in almost a whisper, as if someone would be listening to him. Of course the man didn’t hate his life or regret the things he had done as a missing-nin, he did however feel as though he had failed them by thinking he could change the world. To this end, the Hyuga felt as though his life would have had a happier life should he have just allowed his mother to end Noki’s life without him retaliating. Kayaku was genuinely happy for the first time in years as well, in fact this was the happiest he had been since...
well since he had met Jirou...
"Oh shit... Jirou... What am i even going to do with him?!” the Hyuga exclaimed as he realized there were several loose ends that he had to deal with before anything could even happen with Katsuo and Shodaime. Although it was hard for normal people to tell, both missing-nin oddly cared about one another. Not to mention Jirou killing anyone who expressed so much as a mustard seed of interest in the Hyuga.
The more Kayaku thought about it the more he’d confirm that these particular loose ends could result in his capture or death, and that wasn’t even mentioning his status as an S-ranked Missing-nin which had to somehow be overlooked if he were to become an upstanding citizen. The former heir was literally at his wits end and just as he were about to explode do something stupid... he’d scan the area with his byakugan and spot an old tavern that despite his it’s obvious age, seemed as if it had a particular type of patron. "Just what I needed,” he’d said in an exasperated manner before making his way towards the pub.
He’d quickly scan the pub again to make sure there weren’t any Konoha shinobi visiting or in the area. Kayaku’s usual smooth and aloof expression would instantly crack at the sight of the tavern’s current patronage. Of all the people to have put together in one setting, Hyuga Shodaime and Jirou would be the most anxiety inducing for Kayaku. Fate could not have been any harsher to the missing-nin, "I can’t just leave Shodaime with Jirou, he’s a monster. Granted he is my on again off again monster and Shodaime is pretty strong. I can’t just leave Jirou to his devices. People usually end up dead” he said to himself before making it to the entrance of the Tavern.
As Kayaku walked in, he’d stop at the door and glance over to Jirou, lilac colored eyes encased in engorged veins would be met with the feral golden orbs. The Hyuga smiled at the man and continued into the bar, making his way to a table on the other side of the room. He then glanced at Shodaime; she would have noticed him well before he had entered the bar should her Byakugan have been active. Kayaku wasn’t entirely sure how this situation was going to play out, however he had a feeling that it could end with his own death... either by Jirou or by Shodaime. Both of which were equally undesirable outcomes.
That said, Kayaku decided that he’d just wing it, and by winging it he meant that he’d deny knowing either of them. Truthfully speaking, the Hyuga didn’t know how he’d fair at the end of the day however what he did know was that His charm among other things had gotten him into both their pants once, maybe it could help him out of this situation.
