With his Byakugan, Shigure could see all around himself, and he could clearly see Yoru as he tried to channel his chakra through his body, but the chakra was not really flowing properly from his tenketsus, and on his first try he was overflowing with chakra, wasting it as he went, and as expected, the bark from the tree cracked and he fell. "Yoru-kun, you are wasting too much chakra, you need to balance it out and make sure you use just enough. Don't focus solely on your feet, you need to try and feel the chakra flowing from your core, to your thighs, to your legs, and then to your feet. It's tough... No, no! Now that's too little! Listen to my words and focus on your body, concentrate, take your time, okay?" he explained as he analysed the flow within his chakra pathway system.

But at the same time, he had other matters to attend, and Wahei was in front of him, seemingly ready for their bout. Shigure smiled at his comment. "I never thought I would be in such a position, but I'm happy to be helpful to my comrades!" he said in a light-hearted tone. But shortly after that, Wahei came and he came with quite a lot of passion. His form was lacking, that much he could immediately tell, being specialised in Taijutsu, and he could see his movements coming from a a mile away. The first jab almost felt like it was about to connect, but with a quick footwork, Shigure moved his head out of the way, followed by another half step, dodging the next blow.

Shigure moved crazy fast, to a point he could pose a challenge to an average Chuunin in terms of combat speed, that together with his polished technique and footwork made him a terrible opponent in close quarters. He had to give it to Wahei though, his fighting style was quite unorthodox and if he wasn't a Hyuuga, he would be in trouble, but his eyes allowed him to see that kick coming and as it did, he narrowly dodged it again, spinning his body a bit so he could position himself by Wahei's left flank to counter with a palm strike on his stomach.

Obviously, he wasn't using chakra on his strikes, because he didn't want to damage his organs, but regardless, a palm strike at a vulnerable, soft spot was not something pleasant, and he was aiming to push him to the point he would lose his balance and fall flat on the ground. In any case, he kept the smile on his face. "You are quite the unpredictable one, I've never seen a similar fighting style, Wahei-kun! However, this won't work on me! Feel free to use ninjutsu as well! I just can't fully use my Gentle Fist on you, otherwise I might damage your organs!" and that was the confirmation that his style did cause internal damage.

FIGHTING STYLE
As it should be expected, Shigure fighting style is entirely based on the Gentle Fist of the Hyuuga clan. Thus, he usually fights bare handed and mostly focusing on using his hands to attack, deflect and block. His speed is highly above average and that allows him to apply some wicked footwork, making him quite hard to hit in melee combat. He keeps himself moving during combat, even if just slightly in order to keep the opponent from using their own maai (the distance in which someone can attack), while, at the same time, measuring his own maai and making sure his body is ready to dash forward and attack. He focuses not only in the eyes of his opponents while fighting, but on his heartbeat and brain activity thanks to the perks of his Byakugan and that allows him, sometimes, to further anticipate his opponents actions.

This particular style, combined with the powerful doujutsu made him a natural counter attacker. Shigure is quite skilled on deflecting or blocking a blow, only to almost immediately counter with a deadly strike of the Gentle Fist, either aiming at an organ, or at sealing a tenketsu, thus rending the opponent weaker over time in order to assure victory. Avoiding getting hit is one of his top priorities since he is not very strong physically, having focused entirely on the speed and swiftness of his movements.

Although he is not particularly fond of weapons, he will use them from time to time, especially when he or his group is outnumbered or overpowered. Even then, he will focus on diverting their attention in order to successfully and quickly attack them with the Gentle Fist, so his top favorite items are kunais attached to explosive notes and smoke bombs. Smoke is his friend in general, as it should be for any true shinobi blessed with the byakugan. His style is quite silent too, since even the sound of the impact of the Gentle Fist is discrete, and Shigure tries to use it to his advantage; some enemies don’t realize the damage there are suffering until it’s too late.

BYAKUGAN

Like all members of the Hyuuga clan, Shigure also has the famous byakugan as one of his signature traits. Like every byakugan, Shigure’s eyes have the ability to see in a 359 degrees, except for a single 1 degree spot on the back of his head. On top of that he is able to see through most objects, giving him a great perception of his environment and making it very hard to surprise or ambush the Hyuuga when he has his doujutsu activated. Having seriously trained to develop his sight, Shigure managed to increase the range of his Byakugan from an initial range of 10 meters, to a respectful 650 meters range, which makes him quite the competent tracker in missions, being also able to discern clones from their makers, see through chakra barriers, determine the color of a chakra and determine if a genjutsu is being used or not.

He is also very capable in his ability to see chakra, including the chakra circulatory system inside a shinobi’s body, thus allowing him to identify the precise location of the tenketsus, which are one of the knowledge required to use Gentle Fists to its maximum capacity, power and finesse. On top of all that, Shigure’s training and experience as a people’s person allowed him to unify it with his byakugan power, thus making him quite competent while reading people’s emotions. Therefore, while using his byakugan, he can usually detect if someone is lying, though the impulses of the brain, heartbeat and such, and sometimes even anticipate reactions based on the body functions prior to an action. This skill, however, requires immense focus and he still struggles a lot to use it.

ENHANCED SPEED

What Shigure lacks in physical strength he definitely makes it up in the speed department. Being trained ever since his early childhood on the mighty Gentle Fist, he learned soon enough that raw power was completely useless for his style since, in the end, nobody can train their inner organs to become stronger and thus the chakra injected by the Hyuuga fighting style was more than enough to achieve the desired results. Thus, the truly efficient way to improve his fighting capabilities were tied to how fast could he act and react in a fight.

Shigure’s reflexes are absurdly sharp and he can react almost instantly to attacks, which makes him quite skilled in countering strikes with his deadly Gentle Fist. He can also land more blows per second than most of his peers, moving so swiftly that it’s even hard to keep up without enhanced eyesight. This, together with his Byakugan makes him really dangerous in close quarters because, in short, he can attack fast, he can counter fast and he can react fast to the situation.

Enhanced Chakra Control:

Due to his intense training and his overall style as a practitioner of the Gentle Fist, Shigure developed a level of chakra control that is beyond that of his peers. His level of control is above what is expected of a Shinobi of his level, and he is able to optimize the usage of chakra on his techniques, avoiding unnecessary waste. This ability gives him an edge on the battlefield, as he will be able to use more techniques, more often, and avoid the draining effects of running out of chakra due to waste.

"Amazing" was the only thought Wahei was able to have while feeling the strike into his stomach. Shigure was incredibly fast and that was something he would not forget for sure. - But I think you... just did... - and then he turn to the opposite side of Shigure and started to throw up. Immediately the body itself started to "melt" and became liquid: - I kind of' did already - using the Kawarimi for fast replacement with a Mizu Bunshin, the Genin intention's was to surprise Shigure from behind.

The damage taken, though, would took its toll but even if he was in his full speed, Wahei knew from the bottom of the heart that he wouldn't be able to follow Shigure's skills in Taijutsu. He would then try the element of surprise. But the truth is that all that maneuver was planned to another test: would Shigure truly be able to watch what was coming from his back? Wahei tried a flying kick aiming the lumbar spine. Of course he wouldn't truly hurt and was using a fast but not strong - mainly because he isn't strong enough to really injure him - but his intention was specifically to force Shigure to defend or dodge strike spot.

Wahei new from the beginning that he wouldn't stand a chance against Shigure. Even using Ninjutsu for real he would probably not being able to win a match against him. But learning by info and in practice was something that Wahei loved to do. So basically that training was more than improving his physical skills, but his hability of learning and inducing his opponent to follow a certain move. And that's what he was truly testing in that combat, so his eyes was fixed watching every move of Shigure because every way-out was knowledge for him. And knowledge would only enhance his capacity of fighting alongwith his new comrade.

Regardless of his reaction, getting hit or not, Wahei would stand up again - or just sit, depending on how hard Shigure get into him - and smile to him with a "smartass" look. - Dude, you really are something. This was really fun! I can't wait to get into action with you. - his mind was combining possible moves that they could perform together. Yoru would be even more asset to his strategy, but considering they were in different level - for now - he would have to add him up short time later.

Yoru decides to follow Shigure's tip, since the boy could see his chakra lines and warned him when he used too much or too little chakra, yoru was confused, he needed to learn that jutsu anyway, he needs to improve each day more, otherwise his training wouldn't be worth it, Yoru closes his eyes and starts to feel his chakra flow, slowly reaching the heel of his foot and managing to stay stable,3 apparently it was the boy's lucky number who repeated to himself: "I CAN DO IT, I YOU'VE GOT TO MAKE YOUR TRAINING WORTH IT YORU YOU NEED TO BECOME A SHINOBI COME ON!
After that the boy's eyes open quickly, his gaze overflowed with focus, it was in this attempt that everything would end and in a noble attempt the boy runs as if he was running for his life, he quickly reaches the tree and starts walking over it vertically, he managed to control his chakra in his feet and finally started to get somewhere, as he walked over the tree, the boy started to smile and all he could see was the green of the leaves approaching and the sunlight hitting his face, giving the boy a sense of freedom and satisfaction he was one step closer to showing some kind of value

The Kawarimi strategy was pretty good, and if Shigure wasn't a Hyuuga, he would've fallen for that. The moment the body was replaced, the tenketsus were gone with that, and he knew he was about to strike a substitution; a water clone cannot fool the Byakugan. Without even looking back, Shigure took a quick step forward, avoiding the kick, which just grazed by his hoodie, immediately countering with a kick of his own. He pushed his torso forward, using the lever motion to throw a powerful kick towards the Genin's stomach.

Shigure was a technical and precise fighter, and although he was physically fit due to his constant training, raw physical strength was not his forte. The kick would hurt and push Wahei back, maybe make him trip a bit, but it wouldn't be enough to make him fall flat on his butt, unless that happened due to losing footing and balance. In any case, it served the purpose of putting distance between them, so he could spin on his other feet so to face Wahei again. With a confident smile on his face, he chuckled lightly. "The water clone was pretty good, but they lack tenketsus, so it's really easy to determine it is not the real you, even if the colour of your chakra is there!" he explained, revealing a bit more on how his doujutsu worked.

As they chatted, Shigure felt like this was a good moment to end the short sparring, so he just stood upright and offerred the sign of reconciliation to Wahei by extending the index and middle fingers of his right hand. "You have some crazy fighting instinct! I wonder what kind of training you have been through! And if you have water release, that's awesome, because I have fire release, so we can add variety to our strategies!" he said in a rather excited tone.

Then, Shigure focuses on Yoru, who had spent a little time adjusting and acclimating to his chakra flow. "That's it, Yoru! That's perfect! Keep it under control and you got it!" he said, feeling really excited about the young Nara's accomplishment, as he reached the top of the tree. He could feel that his new friend was happy, and he was feeling a sense of satisfaction for taking the initiative to meet his teammates and organise this little training session.

"I think we can call it a day, eh? Hahaha! How about we attack those bentous I brought?" he said, pointing to the lunch boxes with his thumb in a rather eager tone. He loved food.

The maneuver executed by Shigure was simply amazing. - Oh, crap! - was his only reaction when Shigure's foot stroke into his stomach. He also managed to quickly contracted his core in order to improve his resistance but since the strike aimed a sensitive spot, he felt the air escaping his lungs and the impact pushed him backwards. In order to not fall, he used his skills and balance slightly jumping back with one foot and adjusting the body and moving it standing with right side on guard. He raised his left hand opened in a signal of "pause" and chuckled while a drop os sweat slided in the side of his face. - Gosh... - he finally said despite the gasping - This eyes of yours... - and then he changed the hand to a "cool" sign - Pretty awesome! - then he straight-up a bit to get back into action, but Shigure was satisfied and offering him the reconciliation sign.

The relief into Wahei's face was obvious and honest. Promptly he grabbed Shigure's fingers with conviction while listening to what he has to say - Dude, you can literally see what's behind your back and you want to tell me about craziness!? - that's was him trying to tell a joke - You gotta to be kidding! - then he used a little suiton trick to use water to clean his hands. He would offer it to the teammates not realizing that the water was released by his mouth and that would easily remind anyone of spit. Wahei was a medic, which means he was sure that it was 'ok' in healthy terms. He would never realize though how awkward it was in social perspective. He would shrugged should one of them refuse the 'water' and would back to his habitual "good-spirit" mood.

Getting back to Shigure, he would say - Anyway, fire release is very interesting. I'm looking forward to get into action with you guys. - as he was also observing Yoru, he genuinely smiled to him when he got the chance and said - Way to go, dude! Congratulations! - he took two Bentou, offering one to Yoru - And this is your reward for beating the tree! - after, he offered the other one to Shigure- Boss, for kicking my ass! - he smiled, and finally grabbed one - And for me... well... for getting my ass kicked in absolutely sportsmanship! - he laughed - And for making two great friends today, of course!.. My mom would be proud! - and he widened his smiled in his typical Wahei spirit - To friendship! - he toasted with the bentou, hoping that the other teammates would follow.

Yoru begins to slowly descend from the tree, still with a smile on his face for having learned a simple technique, but that still left the boy very happy with his achievement, it was a step, better than nothing, he looks at his companions and smiles embarassed, saying:
-I-I did well?
Hearing the praise of his companions, the boy started to turn red, hiding his face between his hands, a beautiful friendship could grow there, he reaches the ground and sees Wahei offering a bento to him, he takes his hands away from his face and looks fixedly to Bento, he quickly picks it up and thanks:
-T-thank you so much Wahei-san!
Opening Bento right away, he was hungry, but as always the boy liked to start things slowly, savoring every part of Bento, as soon as the boy sees his partner lifting Bento to toast, he decides to follow him and also toast with his bento with an innocent smile, which also contained the burning flame of being the shinobi, the will of fire, the love for his village and the desire to protect it with his new friends, which he would surely take to your entire life.

Wahei was definitely impressed with the visual prowess of Shigure's doujutsu, and that made the young heir to the Hyuuga clan to chuckle a bit, as he scratched the back of his head. "Hehehe... Like I said before, I can see all around me, except for one thing I didn't tell you before... I have one blind spot, but I will let you try to figure out where it is as we train more!" he said, winking to his new friend. He wouldn't just give him the full information on a silver platter; they were all shinobi after all. It was part of their own training to identify their teammates weaknesses and help each other grow.

The duo perform the act of reconciliation and then accepted his Suiton to wash his hands without looking bothered by the act. Shigure seemed a bit excited when Wahei mentioned getting into action together. "I'm sure we will have plenty of fun together! I will plan some more training, and I'm sure the Hokage will assign some missions for us as well. he said to Wahei, before turning his gaze towards Yoru, who seemed really proud of his own accomplishment, as he should be. Throwing a thumbs up his way, Shigure nodded enthusiastically. "You nailed it, Yoru-kun! Good job there!" he said, in a honest and happy tone. "Now let's celebrate the best possible way! With food! Hahahaha!" and as he said that, his stomach grumbled in either anticipation, or desperation, it was hard to tell.

Sitting with his new friends, Wahei cheered to their new friendship, to which Shigure and Yoru promptly followed. "BANZAI! TEAM 3!!" he shouted.

As the sun started to come down, the trio followed their way back to their homes, knowing that the bonds forged today would last for a lifetime.

[End]
