We are violence As the boats reached the shore, Kazue didn't even waste anytime. From the three shurikens he threw, two find their targets in the neck of two thugs, who fell to the water dead. The other one was deflected by another one, and now, out of that boat there were seven man staring angrily at the white-haired boy. "Cut his head off!" one of them roared. But before they could even charge against the boy, Kazue was already there using his Kekkei Genkai to claim the life of another two of them, too slow to react to the speed of a trained Shinobi. The others leaped back, their movements slowed by the water on their knee level, but they didn't lose their spirit to fight just yet. From the five remaining, two took a step back, and three attacked, one from the front, with a sword strike aiming at Kazue's left temple, and two from the flanks, one trying to poke him on the stomach with a spear, and the other aiming at his right leg with an axe. On Kasumi's side, eight man came down the boat, armed with swords, axes, and spears. There is only one path left to take.

Kasumi only raised a brow as Kazue declined her offer. That was rather out of character for him, she thought. Didn't he always want a chance to prove himself? Or was she mixing him up with herself here? "Well, if you're too chicken to take the bet then I think I just win, yeah?"

The logic was sound, but there was no time to discuss it any more. Eight enemies were in front of her, and Kasumi certainly planned on making them corpses. Eight was a high number, and Kasumi decided her plan would be a display of strength to make them hesitate. Using quick rotation, she would dodge the two arrows aimed at her, then make some hand signs.

"Suiton: Kageōda." From the ground, water would spark up to impale one of the archers. The man let out a rough gurgling sound as the jutsu ended his life. This would buy her some time to focus on the melee units as the other archer uselessly tried to stop the bleeding.

Next, a man with a spear was in front of her. A troublesome weapon for a sword user, but Kasumi was talented with her blade. As he moved to stab her, she parried. The blade barely came across her cheek, leaving just a small cut as she delivered a precise blow to his neck. The mess it made on Kasumi's front went unnoticed by the ninja.

During that altercation, one man with a large hammer had looped behind her. She barely moved in time to mitigate the blow to her  right shoulder. Luckily she was a lefty.

She spun around, using the reverse beheading technique Toru had taught her so long ago to decapitate the man.

"Is that the best you have to offer? Tch..."

The remaining five were on edge, daring each other to approach her now.

Demon Chakra:
Kasumi has become known for her strange chakara form. When in a dire situation, she is capable of releasing her chakra, which in turn takes a strange color unlike the normal blue color of chakra, and takes the form of a demonic cat figure. She is then enveloped in a demon shroud.

This ability grants her a fierce looking aura, that may come off as intimidating and a tenacity to push beyond their normal limits physically- when this mode is activated, Kasumi is harder to knock out or kill and will generally fight for longer than a normal body is capable of.

Keeping this ability active has a medium drain on Kasumi's chakara.


Kenjutsu Training:
Since a young age, Kasumi has felt the weight of a sword in her hands. She's practiced combat with swords, and is able to compete with some of the best sword users around. That said, people who lack training with a sword or intensive Taijutsu tend to be overwhelmed by her skill.

Large Chakra Reserves:
Kasumi was born with higher than average chakara reserves, letting her use more chakara and jutsu without being exhausted. A natural gift from her lineage. She has learned how to properly take advantage of these reserves.

The remaining men took formation, and the one in front swung at him with a sword. He watched as the other two stabbed and struck at him from either side. He used the Quick Rotation technique to spin outside of the reach of the sword and deflect the spear thrust with a bone as he turned. He continued turning with the momentum and cut apart the swordsman and the spear user, out of range of the ax swing by that time in his dance. As he cut apart tendon and jugular alike, along with many vital arteries in both men, he turned about in a delicate flip, slicing the ax wielder head to toe in a flurry of strikes. He caught the ax to borrow it on the man's way down.[break][break]He looked at Kasumi as she said that he would just lose if he didn't take her challenge. "Sounds more like you're too chicken shit to take the loss. I folded to keep my earnings. Don't be a sore loser, kitty cat." He turned around and threw the ax at one of the remaining two. It wasn't a weapon he had used before and was a bit heavy, but even if it didn't find its mark as his shuriken had, he just wanted to distract them as he rushed in with another blitz of slashes. Then, with her Water Release, she impaled one of the archers, quickling ending his life, but it did occupy his companion, struggling uselessly to save his friend. Kasumi then focused on the ones near her. With her finesse with the blade, she parried the spear, and the weapon only grazed her while she claimed yet another life. Her movement did distract her from an attack, but she was quick to respond, chopping the man's head off. At the same time, Kazue used his quick rotation to avoid the attacks, claiming two lives shortly after with his deadly bones. Not long after, he claimed the axe user's life with a slice from head to toes, spraying blood all over the place. After talking briefly to Kasumi, he grabbed the axe and threw at another one of the pirates, killing him as well. The last remaining foe got desperate and screamed, trying to run for his life, but before he could do so, Kazue ended his life with a flurry of slashes. Seeing all this chaos, the pirates now facing Kasumi started to run away back to the boat, but the one left in the boat was not in a mood to wait, and turning around the boat, he started the motor and left, leaving four pirates stranded there, with fear in their faces. They were all easy pray for the girl, or for the boy, if he wanted to get some more blood in his blade. and this is hell Kasumi Momochi Kaguya Kazue 274 words C-Rank Mission

Kasumi noted Kazue's weak rebuttle to her challenge, but frankly she had lost herself in the combat she was in. Red chakara flared around her body. Minor wounds she'd sustained, but against opponents like these? She deserved better than this.

"We'll talk about who lost what in a moment, Bonehead. I have work to do. Rip and tear, until it is done."

Her plan to frighten the bandits seemed effective and they started their retreat. As if Kasumi would let them leave unharmed. Her chakara cloak now covered her whole body as she took a kunai from her pouch and placed it between her teeth. Another in her free hand.

Armed with a sword and two kunai, she charged at the exposed backs of the bandits. She jumped high, throwing a kunai at the furthest one trying to start the motor. Then as she landed slashed at the exposed back of the one closer to her.

She pulled the next nearest back towards her, impaling him o the kunai in her mouth.

She didn't want to think about the mess she'd made so far as she released the body and the kunai and made quick work of whomever was left with her sword.

"Tch. Tough until they aren't. Bandits and their stupid games." She looked back to her sensei, Kasumi now covered in red head to toe. "Are we done here? Bonehead owes me lunch."

"Yeah. And it'll still be you." He watched her work, though. She was one of the only people who had beaten him in a fight, after all. And that was only including the fights he had with Asuka and Kyouka, recently. So it was nice to see someone who had his peer respect fight. He wouldn't move to kill any of hers with a grin. Though, if any of them made a move at him, he would be quick to sweep in with some more graceful cuts. Kazue would look around the water, seeing the tides around them had been stained with blood. It was weird seeing how the blood interacted with the water. Weirdly fascinating. He observed it for a few moments while he walked back onto the docks, slowly following Kasumi's progress. When there were no more bandits in sight, he would reset the bones back into his body and then pull up the sleeves of his haori. It had barely been a challenge for either of them, which he thought was a good sign.[break][break]Not very long after, Kyouka had returned, and Kazue nonchalantly checked his equipment. He didn't expect any beaming praise from her, but they had finished up the work before she had returned. Would that be up to her standards? Kasumi was clearly happy about it and asked if they were done, saying that Kazue owed her lunch. "Oh, boy. Looks like I got better at counting than you are. Look at the bodies. Even with yours, I've got nine. You're one behind." He grinned and nudged her. "Don't worry. I won't make you buy two lunches. As I said, I folded. You'll just owe me the one." Kasumi sheathed her sword then, raising a brow at Kazue who didn't seem to be good at counting. "You got nine, I got ten. Don't try to use that bonehead of yours, Bonehead." Kasumi gestured to the two bandits that had waited at the boat, then the eight corpses that tried to attack her. To make a total of ten corpses.

"Didn't think you were that dense, but it's probably a side effect of that hack blood in your veins. No worries. I'll do your counting for you, darling." Kasumi teased with a smug aura about her. Kyouka was ready to go, and she wasn't about to let Kazue beat her to the boat. Without even seeming bothered by her red attire she hopped in, leaning back in the seat and letting out a sigh of relief.

"Heh. You're all white and I'm all red. That's a neat look, isn't it?" Kasumi commented offhandedly as they took off from the shore. A mission well done always put a smile on her face.

Demon Chakra:
Kasumi has become known for her strange chakara form. When in a dire situation, she is capable of releasing her chakra, which in turn takes a strange color unlike the normal blue color of chakra, and takes the form of a demonic cat figure. She is then enveloped in a demon shroud.

This ability grants her a fierce looking aura, that may come off as intimidating and a tenacity to push beyond their normal limits physically- when this mode is activated, Kasumi is harder to knock out or kill and will generally fight for longer than a normal body is capable of.

Keeping this ability active has a medium drain on Kasumi's chakara.


Kenjutsu Training:
Since a young age, Kasumi has felt the weight of a sword in her hands. She's practiced combat with swords, and is able to compete with some of the best sword users around. That said, people who lack training with a sword or intensive Taijutsu tend to be overwhelmed by her skill.

Large Chakra Reserves:
Kasumi was born with higher than average chakara reserves, letting her use more chakara and jutsu without being exhausted. A natural gift from her lineage. She has learned how to properly take advantage of these reserves.
