The strand of hair on the ground wasn't much evidence, but considering how the people that entered the place didn't bother to leave behind anything. They missed a small piece of hair, it was so small that almost nobody would notice it. His Sharingan was able to notice it and pick it up with relative ease. The small cracks on the wall that were above the strand of hair he found implied that it was the result of someone throwing a kunai with the other person barely able to dodge it. That was his best bet, but he called Haruka to confirm his hypothesis with her eyes.

"Right below this wall... There are small cracks on the wall that indicate it was hit by something sharp with some force. My hypothesis is that somebody threw that kunai and the other person was barely able to dodge it." He stated, and handed over the strand of hair to Haruka. "Maybe you can find something else." Hence why she called here, he was sure that this was most likely had happened, but there was always nothing wrong with confirming it with the girl that had the eyes that could see in the past. "Did you end finding something back there?" Rentaro decided to ask since he wondered if she was able to find something of significance. Maybe something that could help figure out what happened here or vice-versa. Most of the house had been explored by now, with little information they've been able to gather it was enough to write a detailed report on what exactly happened. Despite the lack of evidence left behind Haruka's Tomekenzangan proved to be quite useful.

From a young age, Rentaro has demonstrated to have a high level of intelligence. Although, lacking aptitude in ninjutsu when he was young. He was able to understand ninjutsu theory with ease and has proven to be able to discover possible applications through its knowledge. Scoring the highest in Academy written exams without any issues. Always keeping track of people's mannerisms, strengths, and weaknesses. His remarkable intellect allows him to be several steps ahead of his enemy. Due to this, he is able to see through deceptions and elaborated lies that may fool the average person. He believes that one should get to know their friends, but get to know their enemies even more.

Using tactics that would otherwise be considered be rare and unconventional, is due to the fact he has spent quite some time studying multiple types of combat theory. His intelligence tends to shine through elaborated plans, where he takes into consideration the enemy's strength and the strength of his allies. Followed by resources, time, and other external factors in order to determine the best course of action to deal with the enemy. His strategic thinking mainly relies on small, but quick victories in order to reduce the amount of burnout of his forces and keep the use of resources to a minimum.

Chakra Tank
Rentaro has always possessed high amounts of chakra. One of the reasons why he struggled with ninjutsu from a young age was due to his inherently large chakra pool. Which made it hard for him to initially use jutsus efficiently. Due to the high amount of chakra, he possesses he is able to fight for long periods of time and use multiple jutsus simultaneously without getting tired. This gives him a higher amount of endurance compared to the average Shinobi.

Sharingan (Active)
The famed dojutsu of the Uchiha Clan, an ability very few people can achieve. Although, Rentaro isn't an Uchiha, due to the fact that the eye was transplanted to him from a young age. He was able to access the abilities of the Uchiha Clan's dojutsu, despite not having Uchiha blood in his veins. This increases his perception, awareness, and reaction time. Allowing him to read the movements of his opponents and copy any jutsu that is performed by a Shinobi. He has access to all the abilities of the Sharingan.

The Sharingan is truly Rentaro's greatest asset in a battle, but it also acts as a double-edged sword. Due to the fact that he has no Uchiha blood, it means that the usage of chakra for using the Sharingan is much higher compared to the amount of chakra an Uchiha would require to keep it active. Aside from that, Rentaro is unable to deactivate the Sharingan, so it's constantly active. Because of this, he is forced to cover his eye with a black eye patch to prevent the eye from draining his chakra. Through extensive training and battle experience, Rentaro has access to the Three Tomoe Sharingan.

Enhanced Agility
Rentaro possesses agility that makes him excel in combat, allowing him to move faster than the eye can see with relative ease. This is the result of his extensive training to improve his agility to complement his Sharingan's ability that increases the user's perception and reaction time. Because it doesn't matter if you can see the enemy's movements if you aren't agile enough to dodge them and counter-attack them.

Purple Lightning
A rare ability to use Purple Lightning, through studying ninjutsu and chakra nature theory, Rentaro learned to use a much more powerful version of lightning. Just like the name suggests, he is able to generate purple electricity in some of his jutsus that have increased power. Rentaro normally uses this to engage enemies from a distance.

Haruka heard Rentaro's explanation and nodded, gripping the very end of the hair before once again, reactivating the Tomekenzangan to get a closer look of the strand of hair, listening to further input he had prior to looking at the things he pointed out. She let her eyes spin even faster, instantly adding it to the reconstruction she made earlier. Okay... Start to finish, the assailant came into the room, fully prepared to kill the victim. They woke up and fought to get up; it then turned to very blunt attacks with objects to fight. The victim wasn't killed there though, I think that impact was someone tripping to run... and I think it was here he got it, or partially it. Either way, he must've been choked out by here. Haruka sighed lightly before looking at Rentaro.

"Yeah, I seen a fight break out, the person fought to survive. I thought they died there but this hair proves they at least got away. They are knowledgeable enough to leave me guessing, whoever this group is, they know about the powers my clan has. So, I think they are shinobi trained. I think this person might have been too." Haruka looked even closer at the hair and saw a tinge of red on the opposite end. "Don't touch the hanging tip, it looks like there might be blood but I think it might be the light." Haruka gently placed the tip on the ground first.

"I am not sure if I'm qualified to take these guys out, but I am sure from the graves and the misdirection, they might be too advanced for me. But that's up to your discretion. Let me look at the children's bedrooms, I want to see how lucky they are." Haruka stated to Rentaro, keeping her Dōjutsu active. What she saw in the second room, wasn't pleasant. A large hole on a blanket, blood was on the blanket, but there wasn't a lot of blood anywhere else. "Did... How far did they go to keep their tracks covered?" The genin questioned, looking at the other door and heading to it.

Haruka achieved both the rare dōjutsu and the even rarer Tōzasō state of the eye. Being a direct evolution of Iwakusō, boons of both can be accessed by the Genin. With crystal clarity, the girl is capable of recalling information and memories down to a surreal level. As if she could live in it, it also grants her capabilities to look through memories and implant her own or even reconstruct the other's memory through the use of clan jutsu. It can also gives her great ability of her own intelligence locked behind the eye. From the Tōzasō aspect, Haruka attains a great level of perception both in tacking and reading any given situation, exponentially increasing strategic or investigating abilities. The strongest boon is the ability to track movement from both powerups granted by the past and present eye. Every minute detail is tracked at great speeds for Haruka.

Unnatural Intelligence
Even before the Tomekenzangan, the girl has always had an almost metahuman intelligence, able to decipher a large number of details in seconds and map out events with marks like a video into the event. The Genin is even capable of quick, logical thought, all while maintaining a long term-memory of the details. Boosted by the Dōjutsu's passive effects, the girl's ability to recall and process new information increases exponentially. Every cognitive ability is boosted allowing the girl to process and retain much information new or old. Haruka easily surpasses genius levels thanks to both the great boons of her blood and her eyes.

Rentaro nodded the moment he heard Haruka's response to his hypothesis after she had seen the events with her own eyes. It was clear that the ones responsible managed to get away from the scene and was enough to leave her dojutsu that was able to look into past events guessing. The ones who did this were professionals if they were able to pull off something like this and leave very few traces behind. They even went as far as to take into consideration that a member from the Himishi Clan might've been brought to the scene to look into the past events. "Whoever they were, it's clear they were professionals." He knew very few people that would be able to pull off something like this. After she placed the tip of the hair on the ground he made sure to pick it up carefully, he was wearing white gloves so if it came to it he would just leave his gloves alongside the strand of hair if they ask for it.

"These guys are clearly good at what they do and are not your average shinobi. I could handle them, but I wouldn't be able to ensure your safety... The last thing I want is you getting hurt... We did what we could here, let's turn in our findings and let the ANBU handle the rest." He stated, at this point on even if he wanted to pursue the ones responsible he couldn't ensure Haruka's safety. Rentaro wasn't going to willingly expose the genin to danger, especially if he's aware he can't keep her safe. The two had done the best they could, it was better for the ANBU to handle it, it was their job anyway. He tagged with Haruka to check in the room, they had gone through great lengths to leave any evidence behind.

"Anyway, let's head back." After making his comment he removed the glove that had the strand of hair with it and used it as a bag of sorts in order to keep the only evidence they had safe. He placed it on the pocket of his overcoat and began to make his way towards the exit of the house. Rentaro also placed his eyepatch back on to cover his Sharingan in order to stop it from further draining his chakra. Once he made sure Haruka came along, the two head back to the Tsuchikage's office to report their findings and deliver the evidence to the lab for analysis.
