There were few events in which a higher up within the ranks would be called in to deal with an operation directly. Considering the terms of everything that had happened, the kidnapping of a noble family seemed to be the final straw. At first, it had been an operation that seemed contained within the Land of Fire, but the near assassination of a diplomat seemed enough to put people on both sides of their alliance on alert. After all, whomever was doing all this was putting forth a great deal of effort, not to mention using quite a great deal of resources to pull this off. Though to what ends? As the militia began their investigation within the nobleman's home, the older male seemed to be beside himself with worry. Which, was within reason. The demands made of him seemed to be quite clear. Allow for his own removal from the Damiyo's court of representatives or have the death of his family upon his hands. Straight and to the point...or at least that was how Arashi saw it as she examined the note while looking out toward the window. "This the only time ya got a letter like this?" "I'm a diplomat Lady Oonakayama...I honestly receive mail similar to threats on a daily basis...but never has anyone managed to get this close nor passed my family's guard..." Cupping her hand against her face, she'd close her eyes as she allowed the smell of the parchment to travel through her nostrils, being sure to not let the Noble Representative be aware of this action. To him, it would seem as though she were only examining the print further. "People wish a great many things from me...and much of it are matters that aren't any more than trivial...though this proves that whomever is attempting to shift influence is against the alliance between Sunagakure and Konohagakure and that they will stop at nothing to see it dismantled...even destroying my family as a result..." Looking directly at the man, the young woman would pull herself from her place by the window, taking the note and setting it down as she glanced at the entrance. They were still one person short, but she imagined that they had a reason for being late. After all, it wasn't like she was getting a random shinobi to assist in this. They were the bodyguard to the Hokage. "We'll do what we can...An assassination and a kidnapping can hardly be ignored right? Sides...it isn't like we'd be in the dark at who could be responsible...just have to wait and see who they would want to replace you with..." "That would be a great loss...and a heavy blow against the alliance Jounin Hanchou...I hope it does not come to that..."

Fuuinjutsu Savant

Within her youth, Arashi had always been a natural when it came to the art of sealing techniques. Trained under one of it's great masters, her skill and understanding of this nearly forgotten artform only grew and has become more seasoned over time. With this knowledge, the shinobi is capable of identifying the nature and abilities of a seal just by looking at it, mapping out their structure, strength, and abilities based on previous experience and her own studies with the craft. This skill also allows for her own seals to become much stronger in their usage, extend their duration people(1 post), able to modify them to suit a specific situation or to quickly implement them in the field.

Will of Sand

Will of Sand- Adding the element of her own chakra into the mixture of sand, Arashi is capable of faster and stronger sand manipulation and attacks. The extent of this control is due to the supply gathered within her gourd, granting the bonus of power, but limited to only the amount contained within it. This ability makes her constructions more dense and harder to break down, and the swiftness of their creation is instant rather than requiring the prior time of build-up as before due to the strengthened bond between Arashi and Shukaku.

Ultimate Defense

A Skill granted by her continued use and developed relationship with Shukaku over the continued use of his control over sand, Arashi has a stronger connection to the element, allowing her to use it at a much more intensive rate than before. As such, her defenses are much more adapt and capable of taking on stronger attacks and reinforcing itself at faster speed. This adaptation to the sand shield allows for it's reaction time to have increased and make it more challenging for attacks to connect and break through the first layer, while acting still on the natural inclinations of auto-repairing itself for the next strike.

Kurei was running late. Not by much but late enough for someone who is rather professional and punctual. However she was doing something important when she got the message on short notice. Once she did she would run to the nobleman’s mansion. It took a little bit, but once she reached the mansion and got past security, Kurei stepped inside, and was led to the same room as Arashi and the nobleman. She bowed politely before straightening herself up. "I hope your travel was well, Oonakayama-dono. An honor to meet you both. I am Uzumaki Kurei, of the Uzumaki and Senju clan, also guard of the Hokage.” Kurei said, politely introduced herself.

She noticed the letter in Arashi’s hand. "I’m aware of someone being assassinated, while another was kidnapped. My guess is they don’t want better relationships between Sunagakure and Konohagakure.” She went on looking sternly as she usually did with her intense stare, as if she was looking through you. "Do you have any tracking methods, Oonakayama-dono? As the bodyguard of the Hokage, it is my duty to eliminate any possible enemies of Konohagakure.” She explained farther.

The woman was straight to business after her introduction to the two within the room. It wasn't unheard of considering the situation. Though she wasn't exactly expecting the addressing of her name in such a formal manner. But then, perhaps she should have. Upon nodding in her direction as she spoke, Arashi would hold out the letter in Kurei's direction, her expression calm as she spoke toward her statement. "Well...Konoha isn't the only place that needs protectin...Suna can't afford to be the next target either...and the alliance between our two villages is...fragile at best..." It seemed to hold the test of time at the very least. Especially with them being such close neighbors. That meant that this operation had to be handled as best as possible. Upon cupping her hand beneath her face, Arashi would look in the noble's direction, hearing him speak as he seemed to get on his hands and knees. "Please...just....find my family....I will do whatever I can to delay...but they have only given me until the next meeting to resign...and that is within a few hours..." In hearing this, Arashi would smile as she looked upon him. "Don't worry...we'll find them..." In this, Arashi would watch as he rose up slowly, bowing toward the two as he began to make his exit. From there, Arashi would wait until he was gone before finally answering the woman's question. "I can track the one who wrote the note...but at best...it takes us to them alone...at worst...we get sent on a wild hunt that gets us nowhere..." Arashi would then cross her arms over her chest as she let the room breathe around her, prompting her to then close her eyes as she focused. "Unless ya got some secret talent to this...we gotta check the rest of the place out..if I can match the scent up with the writer, we have at least one target to go after and maybe they can lead us to where the family is held up..."

Somehow, Arashi has gained an enhanced sense of smell. It appears that she’s been hanging around dogs for too long and has obtained a sense of smell that rivals that of a blood hound. In reality, she has simply discovered that by channeling some chakra to her nose she can enhance the cells within it and gain a super sense of smell that may act as a sensor and tracking technique. She can smell out strangers, steel and various other things. Arashi may retract her chakra from her nose as well to make her sense of smell return to normal. Due in most regards to her heavily enhanced sense of smell, With her continued usage of this ability, she has now become capable of near passively monitoring the exact range of a target and their positioning within 250 meters. (Able to turn "off and on" this enhanced sense at the 'prick' of chakra to her nose)

Hunter's Instinct

With her training from her mother, along with the lessons she learned from her time with the Saeko's Clan, Arashi adapted her tracking ability to a level similar to that of a sensory nin. As such, allowing her much more precision in her ability to find and keep on the heels of individual targets or groups through use of her enhanced sense of smell and ability to identify individuals and objects at long range.

Kurei took the letter, then pushed up her glasses with her index finger and began to read the note. After quickly reading it, she would place her hand to her chin, thinking to herself for a little bit. "We can be sure that there’s more than one, unless they’re a highly skilled or stealthful shinobi. Which can’t be ruled out either. However, my gut tells me there’s still more working together as a team. We can’t rule out that they could be half decent shinobi skills. All who seek to further shake our alliance.” Kurei said, crossing her arms and looking into Arashi’s eyes with her own.

When the nobleman got down on his knees, Kurei simply nodded in agreement with a subtle smile. "We are both high ranking kunoichi, we’re going to be sure to bring them back safely.” She said, giving him a polite bow in honor of his request. Turning back to Arashi, she adjusted her glasses again. She listened to Arashi’s analysis and nodded her head, placing one hand on her hip. "Sunagakure did send their best. I agree. We should search around the place, search for more clues. However, while I don’t have any sensory abilities…” Kurei would state, before pausing.

Preforming a few handseals, she grew a clone out of herself, made completely out of wood. The clone came to life and finished forming.
"I can send out a wood clone whom I can track and communicate with long distances. They can go scout or fallow the directions towards our assailant.” Kurei would explain the function of the clone.

DESCRIPTION:
A clone that is created by altering the user's own cells with chakra with the 'tiger,' 'dog,' and 'snake' seals. It has more endurance than the normal shadow clones and doesn't disappear when hit by the enemies' attacks. Moreover, since it has the ability to merge with plants and trees, it is also great for reconnaissance missions. They have the ability to travel far distances from the user and are able to communicate with the original. The clones can be as simple in function as a wooden dummy for use in the Body Replacement Technique.

The basic concept of the Shadow Clone Technique also applies to the Wood Clone Technique. However, the chakra-composed shadow clone and the cell-based wood clone are completely distinct techniques. By directly touching the wood clone with their hand, the user can absorb the information it gathered or change the shape of the clone. Because clone is made up of the user's own cells, transformed into vegetation when it is changed into a seed and ingested into the body or left on a target, it can be used as a transmission device of sorts.

The user can use these to track their target as the seeds respond to their chakra only. This and all other uses make this technique extremely convenient and a perfect clone technique that only the most powerful and fully developed dōjutsu will able to see through. The clone is only as strong as the user makes it. If the user is fighting or pre-occupied the fighting power will be diminished. The user must be still for the clone to fight at its fullest. (The clones ability wise are as strong as Shadow Clones, however they are more durable.)Though this clone technique is quite potent, as it's basic level, only one fully formed clone may be created at any given time.

A smirk would cross over Arashi's lips at the compliment, though she knew better than to allow it to remain for too long. After all, taking in such praise and getting a big head had gotten her into enough trouble over the years. For now, it was best to focus on the problem. They had given their word to this man, and it was a matter of securing an alliance that was possibly in danger. Best to keep that in perspective rather than allow it to fade out of memory. The addition of clones did provide some means of aid toward handling footwork. Of course, if they didn't have a destination, it might very well be a waste. Still, perhaps allowing for their inclusion would benefit the investigation in other ways. "Right...so far I'm only getting some of what is on the letter...it ain't much though..." Taking turn as she moved down the hall, the young female would sigh as she crossed her arms over her chest. "This might take a while....although...with your doubles here, we can make it so that at the very least we'll have boots near the meeting. Maybe send one of them off to the representative chambers to stand watch. It's likely that whomever set this up is gonna be in attendance and we'll want one of us there for that..." That being side, Arashi would then stop as she managed to catch something. The smell of ink and spice. Not exactly uncommon, but this matched enough to the letter that it had her full attention. Moving in further, she'd hold a calm expression as she stopped short of a room, seeing it filled with what looked like documents, scrolls and photos. It was clearly the Nobleman's office.
