Soma has red hair and yellow eyes. He is always seen wearing a wrap on his left arm. When he cooks he takes the wrap off of his arm and ties it around his forehead like a bandana with a super long tail. His long-sleeve shirt is navy blue with the Uchizaku cafe logo on the back and a miniature version on the front chest over the heart area. He likes to wear blue and brown jeans with white socks and black closed-toed shoes.

While at work he wears a white apron to keep his clothes clean. You may see Soma with a smile on his face as he cooks. He enjoys it so much that he wants to see his customers that happy as well.

PERSONALITY

MAXIM: To serve the best food I can.

Soma is laid back when it comes to socialization. While working in the family cafe, he takes on the role of a chef. Everyone respects him as they enjoy watching him cook. Soma has made some pretty grotesque dishes in the past, but after culinary school, he perfected his recipes and made them enjoyable. He likes to joke and carry on conversations with the customers while cooking. When hanging out with his friends and other civilians, he always has samples of snacks on hand for the children of the villages that he visits. He is not only caring and respectful but also loyal and friendly. If you cross him, he may snap at you and give you a horrible dish of his own creation (like peanut butter on octopus tentacles).

HISTORY

Soma grew up in the restaurant world. Both of his parents were chefs and he used to love to play with his toy kitchen and act like them when he was a toddler. Watching his parents cook made him want to be a chef one day. Every day he would listen to the radio for the cooking show to see if he could hear a new recipe. With his parents working, he would play with his friends after they got out of ninja school.

Soma is now a master chef. Growing up he would help his parents in the café that they owned. At the age of 10, Soma would begin dish duty while his parents cooked the food. He was also in charge of filling up drinks since he was so small. At the age of 15, Soma began to learn how to cook from his father. He learned various recipes and started to practice on the weekends and after school. After graduating high school, Soma went to cooking school and perfected his skills. Upon graduating from cooking school, he took over the family business.

The food style of the restaurant is very unique. His parents showed him how to make eggs, bacon, and various other food that was easy. After attending cooking school, Soma learned more advanced recipes and perfected some of his family recipes. Soma liked to experiment with some of his food. He was in a competition with his dad to see who could make the nastiest dish to serve to the bad customers. Soma's grossest dish so far is peanut butter on octopus tentacles.

Today, Soma is the owner of Uchizaku Eatery. He serves anyone who visits and he keeps the prices reasonable for the civilians. He sometimes does specials for the students and other ninjas. Whenever the Hokage visits, he comps the meal and never accepts payment. Some may look at it as favoritism, but Soma knows how much the Hokage does for not only the shop being cheap rent, but also for the village and helping to keep everyone safe. The least he can do is give them a free meal whenever they visit.

TRADE PROTOCOL

Soma is a chef. He is pretty lax on who he serves, as long as they behave. Children are allowed in the restaurant, but if they break anything or make a mess, they have to clean it up. If someone tries to steal food, Soma will let it slide the first time. If it continues to happen, he will start making them work off their debt in the restaurant. Any stray animals that come to the restaurant will be given scraps from leftover meals that are appropriate for the animal. Any Inuzuka that come with their ninken will get a special meal made for their pup.

Cooking Speed
Soma's cooking speed is beyond that of a normal human. Since attending cooking school he has perfected how long each ingredient stays in the pot, pan, or oven. Making sure each meat is at the correct temperature is definitely worth the wait for the food.

Presentation and Taste
Presentation is key when serving customers. Soma makes sure that all of the dishes he makes come out looking like normal food. The experience is all in the taste. If the food is made correctly, the customers will be coming back for more. If the food is made wrong, the customer will either ask for something else or give a bad recommendation to their friends.
