SOMEDAY WE WILL CONNECT THE DOTS AND UNVEIL THE WORLD
Shigure naturally fell into the role the group had given him. Asahi observed that, while he took in the information and plan that Shigure had. The Hyuuga heir was even knowledgeable about a natural disguise like that. Everybody in their circle was pretty quick, now that the green haired boy thought about it. Hearing that they were running out of time brought his split attention back to the task. Asahi found some safe plants and rubbed them on himself too. He watched as Shigure made two clones and with the clock still ticking, they all finally broke into action. This was it.

Asahi turned to Yoru and listened to his idea. "Sure, that sounds like it would work to me," he responded with a nod. Then, he looked down at his waist, more specifically the jacket wrapped around it. "Hey Yasu buuuuudy. You're not gonna like it, but I need you to scout ahead for me. Get into the facility and if there are any major threats coming up when we get in, or important observations, come let me know. "

"Nope. Not doing it," a rather high voice, like the voice of a 10 year old boy answered, and a green centipede crawled out of the front of the knot of the tied coat. The D Rank summon crawled up Asahi's tank top to rest on his right shoulder, coiling around to look at Yoru.

"Fine. I'll just dispell you then, since I need to conserve my chakra for things that will help on the mission, and send you back to-... H-Heiou and the others." Asahi threatened, somewhat playfully and somewhat serious, stuttering at the mention of that...thing. The centipede seemed to stiffen up at the mention of Heiou, and climbed down Asahi's back and leg to the ground. It didn't agree but it began to move toward the back of the facility, ahead of them. "Oh, and if you can find a way to disable the alarm system, maybe through crawling into the wiring or something, I don't know, but if you find a way to do that, prioritize that," Asahi whispered more orders as the creature crawled away.

"Thaaat's what I thought." Asahi said, clearly pleased and amused. With three handseals, Asahi performed the Transformation Technique, mimicking the outfit that Shigure's clone had taken on, complete with a work hat that sat tight on his green hair.

Then he would wait for Yoru to do whatever he needed to do before they walked toward the back of the facility. Once they did, they would see two guards as they approached. But since they were disguised, they would pass through no problem right? Time would tell shortly.

Asahi also caught Yasu slip inside as a worker left and the doors were opened. ~Good luck in there little friend.~ Asahi said in his head as he and Yoru got closer to the back entrance themselves.

"the powder-brothers turnabout".
"Every person above the ordinary has a certain mission that they are called to fulfill."
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

The facility.

- Hajimemashite, Yasuo-san! - he complimented the centipede after it showing up. He never knew that Asahi was a friend of insects. Perhaps he had some foot into the Aburame clan? Well, Wahei didn't had time to think of that, but he noted it and expect to have the chance of meeting it better later - it didn't crossed Wahei's mind the chance of the thing being a kuchiyose.

Wahei nodded and smile confident that he have made a good point on calling Shigure to command. He was a natural born leader and was handling it pretty well. Using parts of his draw in the land and making his own for specifics he had seen with his byakugan, the hyuga heir filled the squad with their tasks and separated in pairs to achieve the bigger goal. - Great, guys! - Just two additional things: first, remember that we need to make it look like an accident; two: take off your headbands so in the worst case scenario the enemies can't relate us to our village. - Good luck! - he added and nodded again with his typical friendly smile.

Since it was his first B rank mission - officially now that ninjas presence has been confirmed - he wanted to be sure that all have gone well. "Even if we engage in battle with that ninja, we are not suppose to lead any evidence that Konoha was involved in this... even though having a "Hyuuga and a half", I believe this is our best COA for now" - he wondered, snapping out of his thikining when Shigure called him again.

The duo walked towards the facility quarters smoothly, with Shigure leading the way as he was used to. Wahei made his move exactly as requested, getting prepared to replace the dog. But Shigure's move was cold blood precise and not only took the guard down but also killed the dog with a shot in its throat - "NO!" - he sighted strongly closing his eyes. In that flashy moment Wahei and its clone got frozen. The clone looked at him and the medic nodded holding all the pain and regret from what Shigure have made - "This was suppose to be a clean mission, Boss, what have you done?".

Wahei promptly made 2 water clones, passed Shigure's kunai back to him and took care of both bodies before Shigure KB got rid of it. He would first inspect it for INTEL (dog included) and then prepare the terrain to a clean extraction. His extra water clone also drew the blood of the guard and the dog's that spitted in the floor after the strike, while Wahei closed the pierced hole in the dog to cut further bleeding. He also cleaned the man's mouth and shut it forcing and pressing the jaw so no more blood would leak. - You know what to do - he said to the extra clone, who managed to found an empty somewhat flask. The clone only nodded to him and melted inside of it, filling it with watery-bloody fluid - Get rid of this too, toss the fluid it in a river or whatever you find closer to that and then incinerate the flask - his tone was dead serious, like probably Shigure never heard before - And when you find a place far and safe enough, use some visceral flesh-meat and blood close to their death-cause wounds. That will lure predators to take care of the bodies - he was not talking like usual Wahei. - It was suppose to be an accident after all. - his tone wasn't challenging, but clearly wasn't in harmony like it used to be.

Since they were against time, Wahei decided to not directly question Shigure decision and keep following his lead, but he had his heart heavy and crossed by what he considered an unnecessary movement from his friend - specially because it end up by taking two lives - "Hey, kid. I know you asked us to not get involved on this but... are you sure you not want me to intervene?" - "I'm not in the mood, Envy, fuck off" - "Ooh - trouble in paradise, I suppose" - the boy closed his eyes for a bit to concentrate, since he was already getting in position as instructed by Shigure. There was no time for playing fool. He had sworn that he would handle that mission by himself. And that he would find what it was needed to live with that dirty side of shinobi life - "This is the ninja world, Wahei. You always knew that. Deal with it!".

---

Both teams managed to infiltrate the facility. Shigure and Wahei from the left (Wahei covering it disguised as a guard) and Shigure taking position inside to see what he could learn about it with his byakugan covered by the medic ninja. Wahei used that time to review the INTEL he had collect moments later. The guard's name was Imamoto Imatori, a.k.a. "Ima-Ima". In the leash, a golden medal indicates that the name of the dog was "Hageshī" [fierce].

Shigure had now full access to the inside plant. It wasn't as big as it looked from the other side. It was a large floor separated by shelfs close to the walls, where countless weapons are positioned to be carried out. They were regular weapons like battle knifes, curved daggers, lances, alabardas, swords of many kinds. There was in the middle of the floor a lot of somewhat blacksmiths working hard in a hot blaze area, separated by minor spaces with a somewhat "industrial oven" adapt to melt steel and turn forge viable by it. The black men were responsible to recycle and melt old iron and steel parts of usual materials and (re)forge it into an primitive arms shape.

Not far from them were other men who took the pre-shaped burning steel and carried it to final details like freezing and hammering it to its final shape, grossly refining it's cut power. It didn't look like something illegal at first, perhaps to the fact that they were mass producing low quality and not safe melee weapons, but this wasn't something that would require ninja involvement at that instance. So that would probably be a mere facade to what was being made in the underground.

In one of the administrative rooms to the back, close to where Asahi and Yoru were infiltrating like disguised guards, there was a secret door in the floor with a large improvised stair which lead to the underground basement. The problem is that the weakest ninja was sitting there while the other - strong one - probably went down with the power-brothers.

Meanwhile the boys walked through some resting workers, they started to hearing whispers muffled by the sound of constant manufacturing. The boys didn't have a clear sight of the whole floor but they managed to get a view of what they have been doing in that place and it was quite obvious actually. - HEY! You two! - a sharp voice yelled at them from the back. It was a guard. But he was using a different uniform. - What are you doing here? I don't remember been informed of new guys and you clearly... - the man asked before they could turn, but while they were turning to him, a suddenly blackout turned off all the lights.

- Damn! Not again! This goddamn rats gnawed the electric wiring again. I can't believe it! - the man sighted, clearly frustrated and apparently forgetting the fact that he was going to inspect them - Last time we spent a whole day without power for the ovens. You know what that means? No electricity, no power. No power, no ovens. No ovens, no hot. No hot, no melted steel. No melted steel, no weapons. No weapons, no money and safety for the commonwealths! - he was whining so strongly that was hard to tell if the man was jaded of dealing with that kind of problems or if he was simply turning a blind eye on them for some reason. - Okay, rookies, since apparently you have heard about the promotion and are trying to sneak in to call the chiefs attention, let's make a deal. You go ahead and bring the power back and I might recommend you for the inside patrol. What'd you say, eh? Better than work your ass off under sun, rain, cats and dogs, eh, eh, eh? - most likely turning a blind eye.

Meanwhile, Shigure watched the scene and gave a hold side to Wahei and his water-clone. Looking at the administrative room, he found the power switch and deep inside he could see Yasuo escaping from the ducts. Apparently it was the responsible for cutting the power, that would be a perfect distraction and could also be their best chance to accomplish both goals.

"From the very moment we're thrown into this world, we're fated to bring each other nothing but pain, suffering and misery. I was also blindly obsessed with a trivial and irrational need for vengeance. But I was left behind. Alone. Forgotten. Abandoned. Forsaken. But now, the fog has been truly lifted. One can never run from its ghosts. And that’s exactly all that I am. A lost memory. An undying shadow, in this world of light. From now on, I’ll have to live up to this semi-charmed kind of life. Regardless of this phantom pain. This is my fate. This is my Destiny. It’s not the light which will guide us through the darkness, but the darkness that shall guide us through the light. Never forget. Always remember."

DEADLY ASSAULT

Part of him wondered just how much Asahi had improved since their last sparring session. He had acquired a summoning contract, and that means a group of creatures decided your were worth their trust or something like that. His insight was also pretty good, so he was feeling rather safe Yoru had him to watch his back and vice versa. Being concerned and aware of his teammates is the duty of the team captain, and Shigure was doing his best to fulfill that role properly. Still, he had also to focus on his role as a shinobi in the mission, and he had to be swift, precise and efficient.

Wahei was wise to warn them about their forehead protectors, and Shigure placed it in the safety of his back pocket. When they acted, Shigure went for a swift and silent killing of both the guard and dog. Although he found no pleasure in taking a life, he also had no qualms about it; it was part of his duty as a shinobi. Despite the moral aspect of it, and Wahei's conflict, the two managed to keep on working together. Noticing that his friend seemed bothered by his decision earlier being the natural empath he was, he decided to try and knock them out instead, and with no more deaths, they managed to infiltrate on the facility.

The place was smaller than it looked, and that was good. There were plenty of weapons stocked in there, and some blacksmiths working there, with some advanced equipment. Near the area where Yoru and Asahi were infiltrating, the two shinobi awaited, and that was concerning.

Shigure couldn't read lips, but he knew that the interaction they were having was not the best, so he looked towards Wahei and whispered. "We need to be ready and swift. I know killing is something you dislike, but they are too strong. We need to go all out, or our comrades may die." he said with a heavy tone in his whispering voice. Luckily, something happened and the tensions diminished, meaning they didn't have to rush it and risk being detected, which was really good. Moving in hiding through the facility, Shigure and Wahei would approach the location of the two shinobi. With his Byakugan, he could clearly see which one was the strongest.

Making a signal to Wahei, Shigure indicated they should take down the weaker one immediately, so they could team-up against the strongest; they had a better chance at an instant kill at that one, and immediately trim down their numbers. Waiting for confirmation from his partner, Shigure would then advance, running towards the weaker shinobi, who was startled by his approach. "W-what?!" he exclaimed, but it was already too late. "Juhou Soushiken!" lions made of pure chakra enveloped the hands of the Hyuuga, and as he closed in, he used both his hands to strike the man with a potent Vacuum Wall Palm at close range. "Hakke Kuheikishou!" he roared. The chakra not only poured inside the man, ravaging his internal organs to the point they were so seriously damaged he would die without immediate treatment, it was also potentialised by the twin lions, who stripped the man of his chakra, leaving on the floor in critical condition; he was not dead, but he was completely defeated and left at death's door.

The Hyuuga quickly turned on his heels to face the actual challenge they had there, tension in the air as he assumed the Gentle Fist stance. Wahei could either finish off the downed shinobi, or choose a different approach, but now that one of their opponents had been taken care of, the Konoha Four were in a more comfortable situation. They could completed this mission, they were strong and skilled enough.

"So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honour as a Shinobi, for the price of freedom is steep."

age 13 years old birthday July 12 rank Genin occupation Genin Team 3
And then it was time for the dynamic duo Kami and Deer to act, Yoru took a deep breath and with a slow rhythm between each breath trying to be less anxious, maybe it was a natural response of his body trying to disguise the boy's feeling of pleasure, he liked the pressure imposed, made him think over and over, was this what he craved? Knowledge, knowing everything, didn't seem like a bad idea to the boy, who seemed deep in thought.

It took a while for the young Nara to come back to reality, when he did his eyes focused on the centipede, since when had it been there? The boy could only think of that question, the Nara gives a smile to the centipede, which in his view was something "cute". Yoru performs the hand seals, transforming using exactly the clothes described by Shigure, also wearing a little hat, he goes to a tree nearby and ties his headband there, as a way of saving it for later, then joining to Asahi and entering the facility.

The guards let them in easily, the disguise apparently worked, as soon as they enter Yoru notices the centipede gnawing the wires, but decided not to focus on that so as not to generate suspicion, as soon as the guard went to check, the boy knocked out the guard silently, Yoru feels something, something strong he sees the other shinobi that Shigure had mentioned, in a glimpse he saw his friend defeating the weaker ninja, Yoru directs his gaze to the stronger ninja and decides to use the Kage Mane to trap him, he couldn't, the other shinobi was too fast! He managed to dodge it, throwing shurikens as a counterattack, he seemed to have turned into a shower of shurikens, Yoru would need to use his new jutsu, which he only intended to use on really special occasions, he uses the Kage Nui no Jutsu, this would be enough to block most of the shurikens, but not all, luckily Shigure managed to arrive in time and blocked the remaining shurikens, Yoru was getting prepared to use his new genjutsu.

NAME: Kagemane no Jutsu [Shadow Imitation Technique]
RANK: D

On its own, the range of this technique is approximately thirty yards. However, with each use the Kage Mane yields diminishing returns; this loss in length is approximately a yard per use.

NAME: Kage Nui no Jutsu [Shadow Sewing Technique]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu, etc.
ELEMENT: N/A

SOMEDAY WE WILL CONNECT THE DOTS AND UNVEIL THE WORLD
Asahi and Yoru who were disguised as security guards got through the back entrance just fine. Then, the power went out, showing that Yasu had been successful in his task. Now that they were in, they had to move quickly. Asahi watched with adjusted eyes as his teammates ganged up on one of the weaker one, listened to the clash. Where they had come in, there were some administrative rooms. Asahi looked from his teammates to the other rooms around him. They seemed like they could handle it, at least for now. He would work on the other part of their mission, and a task of his own.

The first room he entered had three real guards in there. That alone, told Asahi that there was valuable information behind these four walls. The green haired boy shut the door behind him. "Hey! What are you doing in here, you know the protoc-" one of the guards started but was cut off. Asahi lunged at the guard and struck him, with the tap of an index finger to the temple. The boy sent out a wave of chakra as contact was made, performing the Stall Out Technique. The guard dropped to the ground limp.

Asahi didn't waste any time and neither did the other two guards. One went to grapple him, and he dropped his weight to toss the guard over his shoulder. He felt the experience running through his veins, recalled a similar situation against pirates, and much better he felt now than he had then. He side stepped a punch from the third guard and without the need for a handseal performed another technique.

He gathered chakra into the palms of his hands and slammed them into the guards chest where the heart was. Then he released it. That guard froze in a similar way to the first but this time there was more. He gripped his chest and fell to the floor in pain as he went through a heart attack. That was the result of using the Heart Revival technique on a normally functioning heart.

Then there was one guard left. These guards were no shinobi and that was clear. There movement showed skill but was slow compared to a trained genin. That was why the other shinobi that he teammates faced as he went through the grunts, were the major threat. The final guard swung a couple of punches while he pushed forward and Asahi dodged them from left to right as he backed away.

The boy planted his back foot and launched himself forward, spinning around the guard and drawing a kunai from his pouch. He got behind the guard and put the kunai to their neck. "Let's not waste each other's time. Show me where the schematics for what you produce here are, documentation of dealings, and the other important files are, and I'll let you live. Don't, and you end up like your friends down there," Asahi said this with a sadistic smirk. The power he felt right now by being able to take down the guards without much issue was clear.

The guard did as told and pointed out filing cabinets with folders on how to make the weapons they made above ground, and the more advanced things they made underground. He also retrieved files on the brother's buyers and where they got their materials from. This was a look into the machine the brothers had made. Once the guard had pointed out where everything was, Asahi let the kunai slide across their throat.

He gathered as much of the schematics and folders as he could in his backpack and then left the room to set out to do the second thing he had decided to do while his teammates took out the two shinobi above ground. He walked by their now one on three encounter to look at the deeper part of the facility some more. Part of the mission was to destroy the facility. If the rumors were true, that wouldn't be too difficult. Looking around, all the explosives being made were probably kept underground, which made sense, but he had devised his plan. This place could go kaboom! But that would need to wait for now.

The green haired boy regrouped with with his team, with a clearly heavier backpack. Yasu regrouped with his summoner, climbing up Asahi's back and onto his shoulder and neck area. If they had taken out the last chuunin level shinobi already and it had timed out like the boy hoped it would, he would join them in going into the tunnel to chase down the stagecoach. If they had already finished and pursued, he would work to catch up. And if they still were dealing with the shinobi, Asahi would watch their synchronicity. Those three made a good team, that was clear.

Cycle of hatred.

The team had proof their value so far, but there was still things to be done. Shigure leaded the way, making use of the dark and element of surprise to strike the weakest ninja while he was distracted. Wahei closed his eyes to not see the killing, and ignored the body laying in the ground.

He got used on working with Shigure and their communications was pretty much a telepathy. Sometimes not even a change of look was needed to one gets what the other wanted or needed. That said, the boy knew that the worst was yet to come. Nodding to Shigure, the duo went down to the underground to find the skilled ninja positioned in the dark with the powder-brothers at his back.

He seemed to be a oldschool ninja, but this was no motive to underestimate his skills as Shigure had already pointed. The powder-brothers were dressed up with a coat and masks to hide their faces and identities. Behind them, there was lots and lots of shelfs with tiny bottles, some of them with fluids, some of them with unknown substances, some of them with both mixed.

--- Well, well, well. Looks like fellow ninjas have finally showed up. Answer me, boy, why your heart is beating this way? Tell me, are you afraid of the dark? Fufufu--- the man provoked Wahei, feeling his double-heart. Promptly, he slowly draw a pair of Ninjato from his back, making a steeling noise that would impact both ninjas. He wasn't there for jokes.

- Owl.. - no other word needed. Wahei wouldn't fall for the man's trick. His foe will have to be Shigure. While Yoru and Asahi were busy upstairs, Wahei would have to come up with a plan to pass through the ninja and knock-out the Powder-brothers.

What are you doing, bro', get over here - Nah, bro'. I'm tired of running from this ninjas. We have been through hell to build up this facility. With the power we developed, even a simple farmer might have a chance against their ninjutsu. If our work was worthy or not, now it's time to prove it! - But we are currently in test. And we have not developed the appropriate guns yet. We can live to fight another day" - I'm tired of waiting upcoming days that never come. Fight with me, brother" - ..O-Ok--Okay!

Noticing that the powder-brothers were planning something, Wahei had to hurry and when Shigure assumed his fighting style posture, he made two water clones and throw them to assist in distracting the ninja. Taking the chance, he jumped over the ceiling and crossed the room upside-down running towards the targets.

When he got closer, one of the brothers lighted up one of the liquid bottles igniting its edge. The fire called his attention and thanks to the byakugan, he could understand what they were up to. - There! He is in the ceiling! - DIE! - they threw two bottles against Wahei.

The boy quickly dodged the first and jumped out of the second, when they hit the ceiling, both exploded making a hole on it, while other splashed a flammable liquid making a rain of fire like a napalm. Some of the workers and guards fell through along with some weapons shelf from the first floor. - "These guys are nutz! They're going to end up killing us all" - "Explore it. Look like an accident, remember?" - "I can't put Shigure and others at risk" - "Big boy can take care of himself"- "I don't want people to harm nor die" - "You're a ninja, for god sake, what your people do is killing and fucking up with people's lives. You can't save everyone. Especially the ones willing to die. DEAL WITH IT" - AHHHH!!! - the boy yelled, enraged because he knew Envy was right. And that was painful enough.

Wahei threw a kunai against another threw bottle and it exploded close to the powder-brothers. Wahei was careless, the explosion knocked down the underground shelfs starting a domino effect, falling one after another and spreading the flammable liquid along with the explosive substance. Not long after, the flame mixed with the substance and a chain of explosions started to damage the whole floor and structure. New holes where formed and more shelfs from the other floor, weapons and people started to fall from it, most of them dying right away, other dying burning alive.

- What have you done? - the man said with difficulty after taking a serious damage - You know how much work we had to smuggle this substance from Iwa? - he admitted - Do you know the power that we were going to spread in this country? My projects... every man could have a gun to defend himself from ninjas. We were... so close... - You were so blinded by revenge and hatred that you weren't able to see what is right beside you, huh? - What a ninja would know? - I am not an ordinary ninja. I took a vow to never take lives. But look what you made me do. - I mean - Your ship is sinking and all you can do is brag about your personal vendetta. Dragging others to this chain of hatred that will lead to more and more destruction and killing. - You're the one who invaded our facility and attacked my man, ninja. Have you forget that already? - Because you are planting and inciting violence! You don't seem to care if people declared war against the ninja system because of this curtain of hatred. But think about the consequences of this! How many innocent lives would die in a civil war. Is that the legacy you want to leave to this world? - My legacy is a proof that people can stand up and fight! Resist against the ninja's supremacy. With the right tools, we could vanish you not only in this country, but from this world. - Then a new order of supremacy would began. And the cycle of hatred would create new avengers... and the story would repeat in an eternal loop - As long as we have our vengeance, nothing else matters. - You see? You're just a... selfish piece of shit. - The difference between you and me, ninja, is that you won the fight. But there are others like me out there. This war has already begin. Sooner or later, someone will develop a technology that will make our power equal to ninjas. - Enough, brother.I... I thought you had died with the explosion. - I'm not dead, but jaded. Look how much effort we have put in this plan. Developing such 'equally' power we couldn't barely control. How many years rolled since we began. How many friends we lost. - Precisely!!! Brother... we can't stop now. We have to keep fighting. For them! - NO! It's time for us to open our eyes. If we had used half of the time trying to make a difference in this world, we would have spared much more lives then we have lost during our way to get here. And what have we really achieve? Nothing but more hatred and misery. Making money over desperate with secondary weapons to finance a mass-murder project. Boy's right. We have become worse than the monsters who we have feared all along. No! You're wrong! I will not submit to them. I can't accept this rotten system! - Listen to your brother. It's not too late to redeem yourselves from what you've done. We can still save most of these people! - Please, brother. It's time for us to give up. - NEVER!

Refusing to comply, the man picked up a new bottle and throw it against the floor closer to where Wahei were. The boy had to quickly jump back but there was still a lot of flammable liquid and it happened to get him by surprise, burning the right side of his clothes, his right arm, chest and leg. He quickly ripped of his sleeve and clothes getting rid of the fire. When he realized, the powder-brothers where screaming and burning alive. - That fool... he killed his brother and himself... consumed by his hatred. I feel sorry for you - the boy get closer to them, drawing a kunai and throwing it in the [orange] brother to release him from burning pain. There were nothing he could do at this point. But when he got closer to the other one, a painful voice whispered - See... you killed us all. My life... my blood... is at your hands... - the man gave up on screaming, but used his last will to curse Wahei, and that stroke over him worse then the burning in his flesh.

He would eventually feel a touch in his shoulder, turning promptly to find Shigure. They needed to leave as soon as possible, because the who facility was going down any minute.

"the powder-brother's turnabout".
"No matter how many people you may lose, you have no choice but to go on living."

AN EXPLOSIVE CONCLUSION

The battle was getting rather intense, and even though Yoru tried to capture the shinobi with his Kage Mane no Jutsu, the man showed his skill by avoiding it and countering with a dangerous technique, multiplying the shurikens into a real cloud of it. "That's not good!" Shigure thought as he rushed to intercept it. Yoru was not defenceless, and he used his Hijutsu to block part of the shurikens, but it wasn't enough. But that helped Shigure find a place to land and once his feet touched the ground, he started rotating while expelling a large amount of chakra from all of his tenketsus. "Hakkeshou Kaiten!" using the Revolving Heaven, he blocked every single one of the shurikens, essentially protecting his friend from harm. The shinobi gritted his teeth, frustrated, but the battle was far from over.

Soon after that, the powder-brothers showed up. The mission had just reached its climax, but Wahei decided to draw their attention. Meanwhile, Shigure's Kage Bunshin was sneaking around the area, looking for an opening it could explore to end the shinobi. With them working together to achieve their goal, Wahei kept the brothers and their pyromaniac attacks focused on him, while Shigure approached the shinobi, with Yoru's assistance. The Nara launched a number of shurikens, forcing the man to dodge and allowing Shigure to close in. The Hyuuga assaulted the man with the Gentle Fist, landing a couple palm strikes in his chest area before getting hit by a powerful chakra enhanced punch to the gut.

He spilled blood, feeling the pain in his guts. "Ugh!" he grunted, taking a few steps back, but the shinobi was not willing to give him much time and he advanced, with his hand sparkling with lightning release. "No good..." he thought, knowing he would have trouble reacting, but Yoru was once again ready to assist him, and with his Kage Mane, he forced the shinobi to leap backwards, stopping his attack. Yoru's keen mind at play, he moved his shadow so the man would leap closer to Shigure's Kage Bunshin, and once he landed there, the clone was ready, and the shinobi had entered the range of his eight trigrams.

"Hakke Rokujuuyon shou!" the clone exclaimed from behind the man. "W-what?! Kage Bunshin?!" the man was clearly surprised with the level of the technique, and couldn't react in time. The clone assaulted the man with an onslaught of tenketsu strikes, closing the flow of his chakra and damaging his body to the point it would be almost impossible to move. As the man fell to his knees, the clone disappeared and its chakra returned to Shigure, who glared at the man as he dashed forward. "Juhou Soushiken!" the same twin lions appeared on his hands, as he landed two palm striked directly to the shinobi's heart, claiming his life.

After the attack, Shigure was panting heavily, but he smiled and looked back to Yoru with the corner of his Byakugan. "Thanks Deer, you saved me there!" he said, chuckling lightly. Still, there was no time for them to waste. Wahei had took care of the powder-brothers, but they also damaged their hideout severely, and the Genins had to escape. With the group now together, Shigure used his Byakugan to scan an escape route, the fastest one. "Everyone, this way! Follow me! We need to hurry!" and with that being said, the Hyuuga guided out of the hideout.

They made it out just in time, and a few seconds after they had reached the tree branches just outside the facility, it exploded in a huge cloud of fire and smoke. It was close, but they had been successful. "We did it guys... Mission completed!" he said, with a relieved smile on his face. Wahei then took care of healing the others; he had previously healed himself enough while still inside the facility.

With that, the four headed back to the Hidden Leaf Village to report their success. It was definitely one of the hardest missions they had, but the four genin, working together, managed to beat the odds and show the village their value.

"So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honour as a Shinobi, for the price of freedom is steep."
