MEETING OUTSIDE After his battle with the mysterious Mist shinobi who scarred his body, and his confrontation with the S-Rank criminal, Hyuuga Kayaku, the Ghost of the Hyuuga, it was clear Shigure needed some extra help for the moments where he would inevitably find himself alone. With that in mind, Hanako proposed to introduce him to her summon contract, the Eagles. They were Hanako's allies and reliable comrades in battle, and Shigure long admired them. To be provided with the opportunity to ally himself with them was flattering and he was really excited for this day. They decided to meet in a clearing just outside of the village, where they would have plenty of space and privacy to discuss the intricate details of the summoning contract. Knowing that, Shigure had trained the basic concepts of the summoning technique by himself, and was satisfied he had understood the mechanics of the technique. It was quite complex when compared to the other techniques he had at his disposal, but he knew well the value of being able to rely on the help of creatures capable of moulding chakra on their own. He arrived at the clearing a little earlier than their scheduled time, and since he would be there with Hanako alone, he made sure to prepare some nice meal for once their training was concluded. He was thoughtful enough to have prepared Hanako's favourite meal; he wanted her to know he cared and paid attention to her, that he noticed and saw her for who she was, beyond her duty, beyond their arranged engagement. Ever since they shared a more intimate moment together, Shigure changed the way he viewed their relationship. If anything, he was now fully embracing it, taking it upon himself to try and make her see him beyond the mantle of the heir to the clan. The young man placed their meal by a tree, safely stored in a thermal bag so it would keep its optimal temperature during their training. There was still no snow in the Land of Fire, and that was good. The chill breeze did not bother the man, for he enjoyed the cool temperature of their mild winter. Once he was all set, he sit by a tree branch and waited for Hanako. The woman should be arriving soon, as she was also known for being quite punctual. "So what if it seems hopeless? Guarding the Kage, guarding and training Shigure… there were plenty of things to do in the day, not to mention her own training cycles and daily care. It was a full schedule but she was thankful it kept her mind moving. Things had stirred in her life as of late and she wasn’t sure she was altogether fond of it. Her fiance, in his soft hearted glory, threw things into a frenzy and put her in a difficult position.

Not that it mattered for the day. No matter what her thoughts and feelings were, responsibilities remained the same. The aggravating heir needed to become stronger and use every avenue possible to do so. The use of summons she had long used were suggested and he happily agreed… For better or worse, that would be what she was instructing him with today. Summon the birds, earn the respect of them, and sign with them. A simple process, or so she hoped, which would allow them to move on with further progress.

The clearing where they were meant to meet was where she would find him, he was early. Something noted by the woman as she took her time crossing through the area, the pale hair of the female loose and blowing about her figure, the typical and non traditional attire of the young woman making her stand out evermore. Despite her hard beliefs in tradition and the clan, the way she didn’t quite fit the appearance of one of the Hyūga was something she often contemplated… But rather than changed, allowed to embrace, for as a servant of that clan it was her actions that had provided security and trust in her more than anything.

There he was though, sitting and waiting. He looked relaxed there and at ease, the young man had grown much and so quickly that Hanako honestly wondered how long before he surpassed her completely. Steady strides took her to him though, coming nearer and eyes focused on him without activating those pale orbs. A hand raised as she got closer, making sure she had his attention but also greeting.

"You’re early. Are you prepared?”

A SIGHT TO BEHOLD He didn't have to wait long for Hanako to show up at their designated spot, and when she did, he was left speechless for a second. Shigure couldn't help but to slightly open his mouth and contemplate the tanned woman with white hair walking towards him in long strides. Such a confident attitude and charm still left him awestruck. The young man blushed slightly at her sight, his heart skipping a beat and a shy smile making its way into his face. He was always attracted to her, always admired her from afar, but ever since they got closer, he couldn't help but to feel completely and helplessly in-love with the woman, and a part of him was choosing to believe that she was beginning to grow more fond of him. There was room for hope. "Gosh, she is pretty... But I can't think about it now. Focus on the training, Shigure." he thought to himself. He got up, tapped his pants to get rid of dirt and then took a few steps towards her, stopping when he was finally in front of the woman. The subtle smile still on his face, but he didn't get close enough. Right now they had some training to do, all the other wishes and desires he fostered in his heart would have to wait until they were done, he was at least very disciplined in that regard. "I was eager to get started. I'm feeling quite honoured with the prospect of meeting them." he admitted, keeping his tone of voice calm, but she could probably see the hidden excitement there. "I trained the Summoning Technique in advance, so I'm confident I got it right, so you don't have to worry about that, Hanako." being proactive with his training was one of Shigure's main traits. He never complained about working hard, or spending long hours in continuous effort to achieve his goals. That young boy, afraid of the world and suffering with his own mind had grown, and now the man he had become had plenty of confidence in himself, which was partly thanks to her constant presence in his life. It was always beneficial that thoughts remained thoughts private to a personal… The two couldn’t have been more different in their initial thoughts to the situation presented before them. A summoning of Konoha’s Eagle contract with the hope that it would be passed on to Shigure himself. A faint smirk to her lips, solid nod given in his eagerness towards progression. The boy was always full of energy to do well and she was glad that his attitude seemed to be in a good place for the day.

"They’re an interesting bunch. I’ll introduce you to a few and have Rasa take your request to Osamu.”

A tap to the back of her hand and a kunai produced from her seals, the blade pressed lightly to her palm.

"Shall we meet them?”

A question that didnt’ quite wait for an answer, blade pressed in and blood drawn, she’d twirl the kunai about her finger and press handsigns one to another before a hand would be brought to the ground. Blood seeping into the earth and a summoning giving its call to those within their own space and time.

A fairly large bird soon to appear, large wings flapping and golden plumage glistening in the light of day. Hanako having already taken to standing again, arm held out for the bird to wrap its feet and talons about her perch offered.

"Daisuke. This is my fiance and heir to the Hyūga, Hyūga Shigure.
Shigure, this is Daisuke.”

The woman’s voice introducing the both of them, eyes trailing from one male to the other. The bird upon her arm bobbing his head up and down time and time again with interest, wobbling his perch just a bit with his weight and action.

"Yes, yes. Why? Are we not playing?”

A curious bird by nature, wings lifting out slightly as if he might take off, focused on Shigure and continually bobbing his head as he waited for his explanation. One that Shigure was given an opening to speak or just leave to the woman.

DAISUKE Shigure nodded, acknowledging her words; he knew it wasn't up to Hanako if he would get to sign the contract or not, he had to be accepted by the Eagles, and he was hoping he would be able to cause a good impression. The young man nodded again when she asked if they should begin, his expression a bit too serious for what he usually displayed, the reality being that he was a bit nervous and tense, and so she begun. With the drawn of blood, she performed the hand seals he had already trained and knew by heart, and when she was done, the Eagle was summoned with a poof of smoke. He couldn't help but to be amazed by the fact that they were able to - with that technique - break the boundaries of space and time and bring the creature to their location, despite the fact that their realm was far away. "Wow..." his eyes widened in awe at the marvel of this creature, with large wings flapping and golden plumage glistening in the light of day. When she got up again, the bird landed on her arm and she introduced Shigure to him. The Hyuuga heir promptly have him a respectful bow. "It is an honour to meet you, Daisuke-san!" he promptly. The creature seemed to be curious about him, interested, and not really annoyed in any way. "That's a good sign..." he thought to himself, feeling some relief, which helped ease the tension, albeit not completely. The Eagle asked if they were not playing, and Shigure didn't quite know what to say about that and thus he scratched his cheek in mild embarrassment. "Err... I... Hmm... I wanted to meet you guys properly, and ask if I could perhaps ally myself with you. If that's acceptable!" he said, performing a second respectful bow, hoping Hanako would say something to help him out, as he was feeling quite clueless on how to act and on what to do. The summoning went off successfully, a beautiful Golden Eagle was called and perched upon her arm. Sharp talons, something to be wary of, but the bird at least careful enough to not pierce her through with the dangerous weapons as it rested on her arm. He was a bigger bird, though not enough to strain the woman as she held him there and introduced him. Daisue to Shigure, a brief intro displayed and her fiance formal as he introduced himself as well.

The bird perched high, head cocking one way, then swiftly shifting the opposite, eyes on either side of his head peaking at Shigure as a bow was given and looking over the boy. Playing was asked, the curious bird speaking his mind as he tried to wrap his head about what was going on.

Daisuke, a young Eagle of the contract, had curious eyes on the young boy. Shifting to bobbing his head as he perched on the arm of Hanako, his wings partially lifting with his body as he bobbed along. "Hold out your arm.” Instruction from the woman to her fiance, a wave of her free hand from him to her own arm as if saying to mimic her. The Golden Eagle continued its soft bobbing movement and lifting of wings until Shigure had done so, and with a slight lift of Hanako’s arm, Daisuke would open his wings to give a short hop and glide to Shigure’s arm. Talons carefully around his arm rather than through, wings tucked back in, and head turned how way while tilted sharpy one way as he inspected.

"He’s a young member of their contract. Daisuke is very dependable and does what he’s instructed, though he’s perhaps too curious for his own good.”

A little bit of comment more from Hanako and the bird to stand up tall, look her way, and immediately fluff his feathers. "I like to explore! There’s nothing wrong with that.” The bird defending himself and shifting weight on Shigure’s arm from one foot to another.

"You two remind me of one another… I thought you might get along well.”

The reason why she summoned this bird specifically, the explorative nature of the youthful bird, the desire to see and learn, but also to be trustworthy in situations he’s called without fail. The friendly males had plenty of similar aspects.

"Well if you’re engaged I’ll take that as a compliment! I always knew you liked me.”

Puffing up his feathers proudly, looking to the female, one who only looked back and looked as if she might shrug. He was a fine bird… she had no qualms… But a hand passed for the bird to look to Shigure, the one she had called him for. Which, after a moment of trying to figure out her gesture, he did. Golden Eagle turning its head towards the other Hyuuga and tilting its head.

"Why the Eagle Contract? Do you wish to soar the skies?”

REASON He was excited and nervous to meet the eagles and when Hanako instructed him to hold out his arm, he nodded and quickly complied, mimicking the woman's pose as in a way to try and make it proper and comfortable for Daisuke. Once that was done, the bird with a curious look on his face and a bobbing head, would spread out his golden wings and hop from Hanako's arm to Shigure's. He could feel his weight, he was lighter than he had expected. He also noticed the sharp talons, but the eagle was quite gentle, and he wasn't injured, not even a scratch and that made his smile widen. It was so exciting to have the eagle there, on his arm, that he looked almost like an amused child, too awestruck to speak. Hanako explained that Daisuke was one of the young ones of the contract, very dependable, but a tad bit too curious for his own good, which made Shigure chuckle; he could definitely relate to that, for he was also quite curious. Daisuke was quick to defend himself and Shigure pitched in. "Indeed, exploring is fun and exciting. Reminds me of when I used to explore the outside of the Hyuuga District, back when I couldn't leave hahaha!" he admitted. As a child, Shigure had to wait until he reached academy age to even be allowed to leave the Hyuuga District, due to fear of something bad happening to the heir. With that being said, Hanako said they were similar in a way, and he could already see that. He felt like a bond was being established despite the fact that they just met. Daisuke also had a good personality and when he said that it was a good sign Shigure chuckled a bit more. "She always spoke highly of you and your kin." the young Hyuuga confirmed with a firm nod. With a gesture from the lass, the Eagle understood what this was all about and then turned his attention to Shigure, asking him why he wanted to ally himself with the Eagles. The young man cleared his throat and stared right into the bird's eyes. "I'm trying to become a capable tracker, and my doujutsu is helpful with that. But being quite pragmatic on the subject, I believe your sharp eyes and ability to fly would prove an important asset for that goal. On a less pragmatic light, however..." he paused, blushing a tad bit. "I always thought Eagles were cool, and I always wondered how awesome it is to actually fly! Hahaha!" it might have sounded silly, but he was honest if anything. "So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. The two near immediately were on the same wavelength, inwardly Hanako could have snickered at the similarities of the two… troublesome and energetic, but with good intentions. The bird was eager and interested in the boy just as much as it was the other way, the two at least engaging a bit with the older woman facilitating.

It wasn’t hard for the bird to further fluff of its feathers in pride. First that it assumed Hanako liked both of the males rather well, then that he was talked well about! A good day for a young male to get his praises sung! The bobbing of the bird’s head would have come again in agreement, up and down with its weight shifted high and low on the young man’s arm.

"We are great and powerful! I will grow stronger in my flock~” A pride that Hanako knew to be similar to Shigure’s… but not without their good nature. Daisuke was a good bird, good hearted, even if a little young. A question posed all the same, why the eagles? Hanako couldn’t say she wasn’t interested, but kept silent. Daisuke wasn’t really one to turn down or accept a contract, nor was he all that judgemental about reasons and need a good one. But he voiced himself clearly anyway to hear what the boy had to say.

Clear enough. A tracker that wanted to work in conjunction with the summons. It was an official answer, probably a good one if judged by Hanako. But something that had the bird shifting its weight from side to side. Lifting its feet up as it swung this way and that. "Well we might not be able to help you fly! But we’re good at it! We can track well, we’re very good.” Puffed up, proud, and all the more complimented by the younger Hyuuga, Daisuke at least seemed pleased.

Hanako watching the two of them for that short bit, but letting herself be known once more once she felt the bird was done bouncing.

"Daisuke, I had talked to Nobu earlier. Had he gotten the contract?”

The question poised by the woman without calling the bird back, something that merely had him nodding anyway. "Yeah. I’m pretty sure Nobu said he was ready. Why, are you done with me?” It was almsot as if the bird was pouting, hard to tell but voice almost sounded disappointed. Hanako not quite reacting though nd looking to Shigure.

"What do you think? Did you want to see about signing still?”

REQUEST Shigure chuckled lightly when Daisuke said they wouldn't be able to help him fly and he nodded to the Eagle. "That's quite alright! I feel satisfied just watching you guys conquering the skies. It's quite cool!" he admitted in a quite happy tone. He was thrilled to be finally officially meeting the Eagles that helped Hanako so much, and Daisuke was really great and a kin spirit. With that being said though, Hanako went back to business and asked if Nobu had the contract ready. Shigure's heart skipped a beat and he looked back at his fiancée, holding his breathe for a second. Daisuke confirmed it and Shigure felt a shiver running down his spine and butterflies in his stomach; this was a big deal for him. He didn't fail to notice, however, that Daisuke seemed to be a bit upset with the possibility of going back to his home. When Hanako asked Shigure if he was ready, he nodded. "I do, yes. Hanako... Is it possible to keep Daisuke here? I mean, if that's not too complicated for you. He is the first one I officially met, and I kind of would like him to be here when I sign the contract." he said in a slightly embarrassed tone. He scratched the back of his head and looked back at Daisuke, giving him a shy smile. He hoped that was alright. "So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Shigure was doing a fantastic job of puffing that eagle right up. Daisuke fluffing his feathers and puffing out his chest, there was no greater compliment then how cool he looked soaring the skies! Attention shifted back to duty though, Hanako questioning him and the bird cocking his head, weight shifted on his feet and answer was given. As far as he knew, yeah. Things were fine. But was he done then? Only called out for like two minutes to converse and then be sent away? He was disappointed, sure. So little had been needed of him!

But it seemed the boy was ready, Shigure confirming to the known Hanako that signing the contract could go underway and she could summon Nobu. The bird shifting its weight again on its perch, almost anxious in that he’d have to go back so soon, only… to lift his head and a deep turn to one side as he peered at the male Hyūga. Hanako giving Shigure a similar look, though her confusion more mixed with surprise and uncertainty while Daisuke almost seemed excited.

"That’s fine. He won’t cause any problems.”

So they got their little permission that she didn’t understand, Hanako drawing new blood and forming those seals again to slam her palm down onto the ground. Another summoning, more chakra to call to the contract she was signed to, and in a puff of smoke another eagle would come, soaring straight up into the air and a wide circle taken showing off his speed and precision, coming back around to an outstretched arm from the Hyūga woman.

The landing of Nobu being heavy, the bird not a small creature and holding more weight and size than Daisuke, though in his one foot would have been holding a rolled up scroll. Perched with one foot, the other held out, Hanako would reach for it and take it in her free hand.

"Is this the one?”

The bird asked, his feet both taking to the woman’s arm as the new dark eagle looked both Shigure and Daisuke up and down.

"Yes. And if we have Osamu’s permission, I’d like him to sign it.”

Hanako making her intentions clear once more, though the big bird looking Shigure over thoughtfully and obviously. Head up and down, little small chirps quick and sharp would have come with the bird thinking. Moment after moment ticking by as she looked the youth over….

Until he finally spoke. "We might be pleased. What do you think?” A question phrased towards Shigure himself, the bird turning his head on him.

I'M READY Hanako had no issue with Daisuke sticking around to witness the signing of the contract and Shigure was happy for that; the Hyuuga and the Eagle got along well in the brief time they interacted, and it would definitely be reassuring to have a known face around during such an important time. With that being said, Hanako drew some more blood from her finger and performed the hand seals again, the same sequence, and after a poof of smoke, Nobu appeared before them. He was much bigger and imposing than Daisuke and carried with him the contract scroll. Shigure's eyes couldn't hide the awe, for Nobu was quite majestic. The dark eagle asked if Shigure was the one and Hanako confirmed. The young man was quick to bow respectfully to the bird. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Nobu-san." he said, and then the eagle looked directly at him, making him feel a light shiver down his spine; he could barely wait to sign, but he was also feeling quite honoured. "Thank you so much for this, Hanako." he thought to himself, glancing over to his fiancée with a kind smile on his face. Then, Shigure walked towards the bird, ready to sign the contract. "It would be my honour to become your ally. And you can count on me." he stated, drawing blood from his finger in order to finally sign the contract. "So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honour as a Shinobi, for the price of freedom is steep." Things all too simple from there. Daisuke was allowed to remain, Nobu called forth, and the contract handed over to Hanako. Watchful eyes remained on the Hyūga heir, he remained respectful even before that new presence. He tended to be… unless his thoughts on fairness were disturbed. Nobu would address him in return, stating that perhaps the Eagles were interested in him and might be pleased, but moving the floor to Shigure one last time to see if he had anything to say.

Which, simple enough, an honor. The bird gave a brief fluff of its feathers and immediately shook its large body to smooth out that plumage again. A look towards Hanako who already had the scroll rolled out, names of those that were able to call upon the Eagles, who had been accepted, and who they might answer to fell on that document… along with Hanako’s own name obviously present.

"And you us. Perhaps in time you will meet us all.”

A final bit of acceptance from that larger bird perched heavily on Hanako’s arm and other hand holding forth the scroll. Blood of her fiance to finalize that contract would go along the many other names and all too easily it would be complete…

And with that signing, she’d promptly roll that scroll back up, a light lift of her arm, Nobu’s wings spread out in response to take flight and hover, then take the scroll back.

"Then I’ll return. I’m sure it will be a pleasure, Hyūga Shigure. May we all meet you soon and know eachother well.”

A summon that might normally linger and converse to be sent away in a cloud of smoke, the contract not needing to linger longer and taken back for safekeeping… duties first, even before the social and adventurous spirit of that bird.

NEW ALLIANCES Shigure's name was written next to Hanako and he added the the fingerprints of his right hand there was well. His heart was pounding like a drum inside his chest, he was both honoured and excited with the official signing of the summoning contract, with his blood binding his chakra to the Eagles. This was the start of their relationship, and he knew he would still have to earn their full respect, but everything starts somewhere, and he was determined to make the Eagles happy they accepted him into their flock. Turning once again to Nobu, he nodded, with the large smile on his face. "I'm looking forward to that, Nobu-san." he said. With the signing complete, Hanako rolled back the scroll and Nobu took it, announcing he would be returning to their land, bidding his farewell. "Hope your have a safe return home. See you soon." he bowed to Nobu before the eagle disappeared in a puff of smoke. He would then turn to Daisuke and bow to the bird too. "Thank you for staying here during the signing, it meant a lot to me. I hope to see you soon as well, Daisuke-san." he would bid his farewell to the other eagle as well. Once the birds were gone and only Shigure and Hanako remained, he would look at the woman and give her his best smile. Shigure would then approach her and hug her tight. "Thank you, Hanako. I really appreciate your help and trust. I will not let you down." he said, closing his eyes and enjoying that embrace before separating from her. He knew the woman was busy, being one of Keisuke's bodyguard and all, so he was always grateful when she would take some time off her duties to land him a hand, be it in his training, or in situations such as this one. They may not see eye to eye in many things, but Shigure cared about Hanako a lot, and was grateful she was a part of his life. "So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Contract signed. Birds dismissed. Nobu to leave first followed by the younger bird that had stuck by Shigure.

Which had the young man turning his attention back towards Hanako. It was a simple thing to give him something he trained for and desired, he had earned it, so the thanks was returned with a simple nod and a very faint pat on the back.

"It was earned, I’m sure you will do well.”

As far as matters like these, she didnt’ believe he’d disrespect the contract. Her and Shigure might have disagreed on any multitude of topics, but he was at least generally respectful… and the birds weren’t ones to get in debates over the political affairs of the Hyuuga Clan. So the moment of intimacy was met with a somewhat cold receipt from the woman… not turning him away, but at least somewhat rigid in that public display and an almost awkward pat…

Parted was a relief to her, though really it shouldn’t have been so hard. Her position as the fiance of the man was well known… she was even supposed to naturally appear so. A small sigh given, hand risen to trail through pale locks.

"Let’s meet up tomorrow for some more training. Same time.”

And with that meant to walk away to take to her own duties… well, other duties. Shigure was very much one of her responsibilities…
