Yoru wanted to learn a new technique, and while Toshizou was thinking on what would be fitting for him, he came up with a perfect suggestion. Since he had revealed to have some genjutsu knowledge, learning on how to cancel it was paramount to his development as a Shinobi. "That's a good idea, kid. But are you truly ready for this type of training? Genjutsu escape training can be very draining on the mind." he warned the boy, waiting for his answer before deciding on how to start it. It's just how it is." he said in a calm tone, as if the fact that he lost people before didn't bother him much. When asked if he was up for the task of training defence against Genjutsu, the boy seemed determined. He had the limits he wasn't willing to cross, but other than that he seemed up for the task, and Toshizou recognized the will of fire he was displaying. Cracking a smirk in the corner of his mouth, he nodded to the young Nara boy. "Very well, if you are ready..." and with those words, he walked to where Yoru was, sitting in a tree stump in front of his and crossing his leg. "The first thing you need to understand is that in order to stop a Genjutsu, you first need to know you are in a Genjutsu. Do you know ways to identify that, kid?" he asked, wondering how knowledgeable the boy was so he could decide how to approach this training. "You can train a dog with food. And anything that dares to cast a shadow over that light will be eliminated immediately, for they are tainted with evil. That's my ninja way, kid." he paused for a second. And with those words, I cast away all doubt in my heart." he finished his explanation, and with that, the smirk faded away and he returned to his serious and stoic expression. Yoru listened attentively to Toshizou's answers, he felt motivated by them, The genin was impressed by the way Toshizou used words and knowing a little more about him also made the young Nara happy.

"Eliminate evil immediately" was the jonin's nindo, hearing these words a smile appeared on Yoru's face, it made the Hatake jounin feel lighter and more determined, these words had weight in the boy's vision, but even so it was something different from vision of the boy, who believes that everyone deserves a second chance, the boy sighs and says:

For a moment this made the boy forget about training, he still wanted Toshizō as a master, even though he knew he couldn't, as the boy had no knowledge of swordsmanship, but that didn't discourage the Nara.

Yoru is a little startled by Toshizou's speech, the boy was too busy thinking about anything related to training, he comes back to reality starting to focus the chakra on his head, he felt the chakra going from his toes, going through the whole body. his body and finally reaching his head, Yoru gives the signal to the Jounin and says:

And yes, you need to be at the very least a Chuunin. I used to be the Captain of the ANBU a few years ago." he briefly mentioned, not delving any deeper into that subject for now. In any case, after he told Yoru to shut up, the boy restored his focus and continued the training as instructed and once he told him that he had accomplished that, he nodded to the boy. "Good. Now, I want you to do the tiger hand seal, and once you do that, channel all your chakra to reverse its flow for a moment. If you get it right, you will feel dizzy for a brief moment, until it goes back to normal. Do you understand?" he asked with a serious expression on his face. To try harder, to train like it was his last day alive, to go beyond his limits, that's what Yoru needed and even sought to tell the truth, was this how he should live? Soon, Toshizou would seemingly disappear from sight, enveloped by a gust of leaves, and once he was done, Yoru was left alone in the same spot. Apparently nothing had happened yet, but soon enough, Shigure would appear, walking towards Yoru. He had an empty stare in his eyes, he seemed injured, and as he approached, he extended his hand towards Yoru. "H-help me... Ruru..." but before he could say anything, his body plummeted to the ground, and behind him was Wahei, with a bloody kunai on his hand and an evil smile on his face. "I played my role, but in reality, I'm a shinobi from the Hidden Rain. And you will die now, Konoha scum!" Wahei exclaimed as he dashed towards Yoru with the bloody kunai he had used to claim Shigure's life. "You can train a dog with food. You can buy a person with money. Activated by the user seeing a handseal, the illusion begins with the user being quickly obscured by some material natural to the location and disappearing from sight once it clears. This material could be leaves, sand, water, etc. A somewhat slower burning technique, it is still quite effective as this is a genjutsu that reveals the fears that dwell inside people's hearts. Everyone has an image of the one thing they wouldn't want to ever see. This genjutsu is a technique that draws forth such an image from within the heart and has one mistake it for reality. First, an imaginary circle of leaves will spin around and envelop the target, falling away shortly after. After a short period, the illusion will begin. This is to make the illusion more convincing, since the user will likely have moved before the illusion sets in. If the mental image is a gruesome one, the shock will be accordingly great. It hadn't worked, the boy was breaking out in a cold sweat, Wahei was getting closer and closer, Yoru managed to dodge, but he took a graze, although it was an illusion, his brain induced the boy that it was pain, Yoru tries again, using the tiger hand seal, it hadn't worked, the young Nara started to get anxious so in Wahei's next attack he would hit for sure, it was strange for the boy how he felt that agonizing pain, Yoru fell to the ground in so much pain, he even saw his blood spurt, a few seconds passed and the blood didn't stop gushing, with the little strength he had, he struggled to use the tiger's seal and speaks with the little strength he has left:

When he least realizes it, he has come out of the genjutsu.

It takes some talent... And guts." he added with a firm nod. Then, he took a step towards Yoru and pat his head. "You are a good kid, and I hope to you will one day become a great shinobi for our village." he added before turning on his heels and walking away from the training field. The man lifted his hand and waved. "Not even your sensei knows that yet, but the next Chuunin Exams is coming. You better keep up with your training, you are close to being capable of passing on it. It's up to you." he said as he moved away. "And if you do become a Chuunin, look for me, and I may train you a little more." he added, chuckling lightly before disappearing from sight. Yoru could only feel joy, after a horrible start he managed to learn the technique and with its use come out of the genjutsu, the boy tries to breathe more and more calmly, he felt the anxiety of a battle even though it had been mental, Yoru liked it from that experience, it caused an adrenaline surge in his body and gave him more determination in battle.

Yoru looks at his surroundings and notices Toshizou there, this just showed that he escaped from his first genjutsu, the boy couldn't contain his emotion and started crying with joy listening to Toshizou's words, the shinobi seemed to believe in the Nara, Yoru felt the jonin's hand on his head and again with those words only made the boy have more and more determination.

The boy sees Toshizou leaving, he waves back and listens to what the shinobi had to say, the chunin exams just hearing this the boy already felt his stomach turn, it was time for him to show that he is a fit shinobi to receive the title, the hatake tells the boy to train more and more, that's what he intended, when he heard that the jonin believed he could win the title, he got a smile from the boy who says something before Toshizou leaves:

-Eliminate evil immediately! I will carry the weight of those words when I finally become a chunin! I won't give up, Toshizou-san!

And then the boy gets up and leaves, bound for the Nara district.
