NOTE: Although the physical thread is in Kagamino no Shi ALL of the participants are arriving and rooming temporarily in Mizu no Tera.

For some, a short journey. For others, long and arduous. The only way to get to Mizu no Kuni was by the whims of ocean and sea. And so, for the genin that were arriving for the exams with their escorts, it will have been a long journey. Many ships would have to travel towards the Northerneastern border of Mizu no Kuni after being inspected thoroughly to be allowed to do so. They would dock in a semi-foggy area, but looking out towards land there was nothing but flatlands, but only to the naked eye.

It would only be a short walk - one that was guarded by masked shinobi of Kirigakure no Sato - before the visitors and hopefuls would be met with a jewel of a town. The sun rising from just behind them to illuminate it in all of its glory. All around now, would be beautiful trees guarding this town. Pine, birch, and spruce were the most prominent that stood here. Tall, and foreboding yet with a glimmer of hope upon their branches as the sun filtered through and would bring about dawn - sweet morning.

The winter birds would begin to chirp through as well.

And if anyone focused off to the distance, they could see snowcapped mountain ranges there dipping into the sky, piercing the heavens. It is a calm, serene landscape all in all, and the air here is crisp and fresh. But a definite chill upon the shoulders of anyone who was not dressed properly, winter was surprisingly cold on this island that could be falsely considered tropical. It was not south enough, and this town was far from south to be considered as such...

The masked shinobi would stop the group then at the entrance of the town. He kept standing there, not a twitch of the muscle. A trained soldier as someone came out from the gates. A smirking twenty-something-year-old with pale features and dark hair would arrive to greet them.

"Ahoy there!" He announced, he seemed cheery, though perhaps a touch too cheery. "Welcome to the lovely town of Mizu no Tera. You will be staying here until the beginning of the exams. You may explore the town as you please, but you may not leave its borders. Leaving the borders of this town unless authorized will mean expulsion from the exams~"

The young man would then pull out bands that were blue. "Wear these to mark yourself as an exams participant in the meantime!" Another set of cloth bands, blue with a simple black ring around the center. "These are for your sensei's, or whoever helped you come here today. This rule applies to them as well, leaving the confines of this town will also result in YOUR expulsion from the exams. OH! Also no fighting, you are all representing your countries and there is a peace pact on these sorts of things. So as much as you'd like to pummel each other, well keep that to yourselves. There will be plenty of opportunity~"

There was a pause, he would toss the bands to the masked shinobi, who would begin to hand them out appropriately.

"Now that we have that little rule out of the way... Follow me!"

And with that, the group would be walking once more. They walked and walked, plenty of things to see. A little town with a bunch of decorations prepared to host new people. Natural carvings and statues were here, and the homes were beautiful and traditional.

A few open spaces with growing grass, perfect for picnics if one so chose. They took a few turns and then the group would be stopped.

In front of them was a gated area, that the smiling fox of a man would open the gate. A rather large building was behind him.

"These are your dormitories. You will find your assigned rooms inside, your name will be on the door." There was a pause to let the information sink in. "There is a cafeteria attached in the west wing as well. Providing some Mizu no Kuni staples!"

"You will also be sharing a room. We randomly selected so don't expect to be with a friend."

And with that, he would bring up a hand seal.

"Remember what I said about leaving, and welcome to Mizu no Kuni!"

A plum of smoke would arise and the man would disappear in it. The masked guard would take a stationary position near the gate of the dormitory his job was to be a sentinel, not be a welcoming committee.

NOTE !!PLEASE READ!!:
here is what the dorm rooms look like.

There are many corridors to walk around on/in. You may assume there are more genin than are actually signed up as there are three floors to the dorm itself. Here are your assigned room pairs (yes these were randomly generated):
- Kasumi Momochi x Nara Yoru
- Narahashi Koume x Suzuki Taru
- Hyuga Shigure x Gure Okingshi
- Kyobona Ikana x Asahi Ōorigami
- Waruichi Asuna x Kirigara Sugita

- Taki Okada x Setsuna Shomaru
- Mumo Yanji x Hase Hoshi
- Uchiha Tokaku x Yuki Kazu
- Himishi Jou x Kuinshinbou Kashiwa
- Waruichi Kei x ?

Things to explore in the village: hot springs, restaurants, a small market... you may ask/DM me for more information on any of these topics or if there could be more. Escorts may choose to take out a space in the dorms, or get a luxury hotel in the village. There are stationed guards within the dormitory to prevent fighting...though that doesn't mean those won't happen still, just expect interference.

THIS ICLY HAPPENS A WEEK BEFORE THE FIRST ROUND! OOCLY THIS IS STARTING IN ADVANCED TO GIVE ALL OF YOU TIME TO HAVE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT MOMENTS AS THIS IS A HUGE PART OF THE SERIES AS A WHOLE! PLEASE HAVE FUN!

Autumn
[attr="class","skulloverlap"]I will lead us to it. Definitely.

[attr="class","skullbody"]It was as if Autumn had come in early spring. The youth! The culture! Ah, this was truly a grand expression of autumn. A lively place that seemed like it was untouched, yet kept through the times. It was honestly a marvel he couldn't help but compliment in the finest of fashions. Not that he was saying a peep, in the crisp wind on the wooded trail all the way there the boy would stand tall and proud, quite literally hovering over the opposition, and ally alike. Standing at six foot three, the boy has a faint hint of a content smile while his eyes were calm as the wildlife that surrounded the new arrivals. Dressed as if he was attending a festival in yukata rather than combative clothes, his kusa headband hung around his neck and the new bandana ties off of his sash
[break][break]

Arms crossed as they walked all the way until they reached the place they would be staying. He couldn't wait to lounge for a bit, mingle with the refreshing younglings in the exam, and further more share his hobby with others. It was a thing born in recreational group activity, and it would continue to be a social tradition that he planned to share... besides it was possibly a good way for his family to find a reason to sell their plants that they used for their smoking to a new clientelle. It made a modicum of sense if put that way.
[break][break]

Entering the dormitory first he would make his way to the second floor where he would find his name plated alongside another he did not recognize. Walking inside he would set down the light bag he had brought with him, and look to open the window, pulling out his wooden pipe and his jar for ashes he would set aflame a new bowl of herbs. Waiting with a smile on the window ciel for his new companion to arrive.

Ichi's SA's and Techniques in Use:[break][break]

『Harvest Moon's Child』
Ichi was born to the Nakahara clan on the night of a Harvest Moon. Born with quite the green thumb he was assumed to be an inheritor of the clan's natural talents with plants. The roots ran deeper, however, as Ichi was born with a Kekkai Genkai, being a rare natural occurance of Wood Release outside of the Senju. In learning of this he has trained his kekkai to the best of his abilities. He is no master, seeing as he has no reference of Mokuton, but he has found a way to bring out techniques along side his own talents in a cohesive manner.

[Cosmetic Only: All Mokuton techniques Ichi uses appear as his favorite trees, though it has no real change as is.]

[break][break]
『Weaver of Wood』
Ichi was born with Mokuton, but he was not graced with the same level of chakra as the Senju would be in his situation. Being roughly average for an individual, Ichi instead focused on the skills his birth clan preferred. Practicing his medical skills, he has gained a higher quality of Chakra Control. Ichi is much less likely to leak chakra than the average shinobi because of this.

In a way, for Ikana, this was a huge moment, for this was quite possibly the wealthiest and finest looking place she'd ever been to. Ikana as a former orphan, as well as a girl that tended to live towards the wilderness had never been a child that experienced the finer things in life. It was only after she had learned useful skills that could be applied to a trade that she found herself able to truly realize the power that money had. She had lived in the lower echelon, and now, to see a place like this, it made her realize how drastically different life could be. She came with a small amount of supplies, enough that could be carried on her person. And her scrolls.

However, ever since the child had registered for the Exams, she had come to realize that this was something that required amounts of preparations, not just in the exam, but out of it as well. Diplomacy. Connections. General ties. Thus, the young Genin tried to make those as was, and also looked to make herself seem inconspicuous. The first thing that the young Kiri nin noticed was that out of all of the nin here, she was quite possibly the youngest gathered. some might look at that as a weakness, a disadvantage. In some ways, that was absolutely true.

However, on the other end, it also meant that everyone looked at her as the weakest link. The most vulnerable. That there was something that the young Kunoichi could exploit, and take advantage of. If one might see this young child walking about, they might see her in a deep thought process, seemingly brooding as she took a deep breath. Man, it was tough being in the Shinobi profession, and the great irony here was that she barely just entered it, already looking to advance to the next stages. "Mngh-" It seems as if in her wandering, she had lost awareness of her surroundings, and had bumped into someone. Oh geeze.

CHUUNIN EXAMS

It was finally happening, the Chuunin Exams were going to start in a week, and the participants travelled from all over the shinobi world to the Land of Water. It was only the second time Shigure had been to this country due to the animosity between the nation and the Land of Fire, but he couldn't really hide his excitement. Unfortunately, due to the insistence of his father and clan, he didn't travel together with his team, but in a separate boat, accompany by some members of his clan, mainly branch members who were there to make sure the heir to the clan would arrive at his destination safe and sound, considering the fact that his sensei was not welcomed in the country due to his past interaction with the former Mizukage.

Shigure didn't fight much, he knew he would be reunited with his team soon enough, so for now he just accepted the nagging from his father, hoping to make the man happy for now, and a tad bit happier if he returned as a Chuunin. Shigure spent most of the time meditating while on the boat, thinking about his techniques, channeling his chakra, doing breathing techniques. His future as a shinobi was at stake here. He also couldn't help but to think about the last Chuunin Exam he participate nearly seven years ago, where he lost his teammates. "I will not let it happen this time. I'm different, I'm prepared and I will protect my teammates." he repeated to himself, calming himself down as much as he possibly could.

After a few hours had passed, one of his retainers came to inform him that they would be arriving soon. The heir nodded and walked to the deck and the first thing he saw was the mountains in the distance. The place looked so different from the Land of Fire, but it had its own beauty, he had to admit it. "Mizu no Kuni, uh?" he said to no one in particular, cracking a subtle smile that hid his nervousness and anxiety.

Once he was out of the ship, he walked with his retainers under the watchful eyes of the masked guards of the Hidden Mist. There was an ominous feeling about them, almost as if they exhaled danger, but this was a moment of truce, so he knew better than to be concerned about them attacking him or his servants. The fresh air with some sea breeze was rather welcoming. The Hyuuga's eyes were moving constantly, checking the place, trying to absorb as much as he could, until they reached the entrance of the town. Shigure stopped there to wait for further instructions, and a young-looking individual with dark hair greeted them.

The young man greeted them and announced that they would stay there until the beginning of the exams. They were free to explore the town, but if they left its borders, they would be expelled from the exams, and Shigure took a very good mental note of that. He was handed a blue band that he quickly put around his arm, and his retainers got a slightly different one. The rules about leaving applied to all, but he was not concerned; the Hyuuga were highly disciplined, and they wouldn't do a thing to jeopardize Shigure's exams. The man also warned them about not fighting, but seem like fighting didn't warrant an expulsion, so he half-expected for some of them to actually happen.

Once he finished explaining, he instructed the group to follow him and Shigure did so. The young man was guided to a large gated property where he was going to be staying until the start of the exams. The place was pretty big, and apparently they would share it with a roommate. "I wonder who I was paired with..." initially he assumed he would be sharing it with a teammate, but then he was informed he would be paired with a random individual, and that was a bit odd, but before he could even ask anything, the man vanished in a poof of smoke.

Shigure looked back at his retainers and gave them a smile. "I will be fine, guys. You can go to your lodgings." he said, and one of the Hyuugas responded with a respectful bow. "Take care, Shigure-sama. And good luck." the man said with quite the subservient tone, to which Shigure responded with a bow of his own. "I will do my best!" and once they left, he took another look at the place, entering through the gates. "I wonder who is my roommate..." he said to no one in particular.

"So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honour as a Shinobi, for the price of freedom is steep."

Asuna would sigh. It was officially her time, time to move through the exams and reach a new level of authority. To finally graduate from the beginner rank that was so revolting to someone who wished to find growth as much as her. Dressed very nicely in her waruichi silk she looked like any proud naval officer of kirigakure from the older times. Not too unlike the entourage that followed with the Hyuuga, Asuna was also followed, though by a smaller grouping. A head branch member of the clan, yet relegated to a non-heir slot. It fit for someone who so vehemently hated the strongest characters within her own family.

She had been to Mizu no Tera on a few odd occasions back when she was younger. The town was a place of business for the Waruichi and their buyable mundane silk outfits that they made were sold. Irony as all things in the Waruichi their riches were built on the passage of those that were weaker. Being both the ones who laid to rest and used all that died without any inhibition to create the silks that they sold or used. Though the scars that coated her left arm were a testament to the fact that she willingly devoted herself to the practice, and the heavy weight on her body that she would manipulate while moving all the more a show. Manipulating the cloth on a miniscule level she would sew the new bandana onto her coat by only a few stitches.

As they would arrive at the residence she would be handed her bag and walk inside the building without a word to the bowing waruichi members. It was considered bad luck to wish someone off to a battle after all, and it was worse luck to respond in kind, the Waruichi were that sort of bunch. Entering the mansion she would huff as she moved with heavy footsteps up towards her room. Curious, and agitated to share a room with whoever it was that she was to stay with.

It was a week before the chunin exam, just thinking about it was like the boy had butterflies in his stomach, he was definitely very excited and determined, it was his first time at an event like that and he asked for it to be the last , he wanted to pass along with his team, become a chunin with them and later even join the Anbu.

His destination was at Mizu no Kuni, Mizu no Tera, Yoru had never been there, so he was even curious, he gets on a boat alone, his father cannot accompany him at that moment, but the boy was not sad, while they left, driving to their destination, Yoru was reading an anatomy book, he paid attention to every detail, reading slowly for more security and when he realizes he is already there.

Yoru gets more and more anxious, there will be genin from all over the world, at first sight the city pleases Yoru's eyes, he moves towards Mizu no tera.

Yoru's eyes can't focus on anything other than that installation, it was so big and beautiful, very different from what he was used to and then a masked shinobi appears giving details of each rule, Yoru listens attentively, don't leave the city and not fight, Yoru engraves this in his mind, as in fact it is something the boy would not do at all.

Yoru starts thinking: "Who will be my roommate? Are Shigure-san and Wahei-san already here? They have to see this place!" And then Yoru lets out a silly face, as if he's impressed by everything.

The boy finally enters through the gates, looking for his room, when he found it he just put his things inside, the boy puts the bandana on his forehead for the first time and his identification on his right arm.

Hyuga Neji to Hyuga Hinata - Chuunin Exam

Getting into the 'Water'.

When Wahei found out that, despite the team had decided to subscribed together their participation in the Chuunin Exams, Shigure would not accompany them in the trip towards Mizu no Kuni, he get a little upset. Even though he understood that as the heir of his clan he had political affairs to attend, it was impossible for him to get affected by the absence of his best friend and teammate in that very special moment.

So Yoru and Wahei was caught in a very complicated situation, since their sensei was a persona non grata in Mizu no Kuni and specially for the Mist-ninjas and would not accompany them either, they've had to find someone to take his place too. But Yoru's father wasn't available, neither was Shinsuke -at least that's what he said - and, well, as an orphan, Wahei didn't have no one else to call. He even asked Yoru to call up Shikajin, a member of the Nara clan that once leaded him and Shigure in a C-Rank mission. But he wasn't available too so the boys would have to arrange someone else.

Eventually, after importunating Shinsuke for quite some time, Wahei and Yoru finally found the person who would join them. The man was some average jonin that didn't like much of talking. During the trip, Wahei walked around the boat several times and eventually get bored - this wasn't so exciting as it seemed. Everyone at the boat have this "back off" face so Wahei decided to be close to Yoru - who was reading - and his new tutor.

Bored to death, he started looking around for something interesting to occupy his mind with but he find none, except for the book Yoru was reading. - Dude! - he exclaimed - This book is only good for introductions but it misses several important details of human's anatomy - I mean - what truly matters to know - as a medic, he was willing to help his friend to get the best knowledge ever and, to be honest, using him as guinea pig on his attempt to kill the boredoom - You can read this one, and this one, and this one too! Wow! This one is the best - scratching his stuff, he started to pull out of his baggage a pile of books throwing it over Yoru - there's this chapter where the books shows all that is to be seen when it comes to shoulders nerves and... - he noticed that he had pratically buried Yoru with books.

- Oh my! Sorry, mate! - he helped him out with the mess he's just created. - I mean, you probably are just reading this to help you throughout the trip, right? I mean, I'm getting bored and bored every second through - he said, not giving a chance for Yoru to actually respond. That's Wahei nervous and dealing with the anxiety of the greatness of a moment he wasn't been able to feel. Fortunately, Yoru was an introvert person so he hopefully he was already used to Wahei talkative spirit.

- What if we play mental Shogi again? - he insisted, but Yoru gave him that upset sight that give him the message > "I'm reading" < and he acknowledged to him - Oh, right... sorry - he scratched the back of his head and cracked a smile for the whinning-apology.

Wahei eventually noticed Asahi Oorigami in the boat and raised a hand for him in compliment. He pointed an empty space close to him and invite the boy to get closer. The last time he had seen his fellow medic friend was in the Powder Brothers turnabout - Asahi-kun! - he said optimistically and with very a friendly tone - It's nice to see that you're here too! - he added, genuinely happy for seeing a familiar face.

Eventually the boys would tag along, but even so Wahei's boredoom would snap out that easily. If he happened to be alone again, he would even try to call his mental-roomies that usually had something odd to say in every opportunity, but even them have left Wahei alone in his own thoughts, ironically.

All and all the boy would survive the trip - and the others around him too - and the feeling of land would sparkle again his hope and enthusiasm for the event. Absolutely everything was new for Wahei and a opportunity to learn and experience different kind of things. But one thing called his attention the most: everything was similar to what they had in Konoha, except for the smell of seas and some geographic things. But the point is, the people in Mizu no Kuni were exactly alike people in the Land of Fire. In other words: all humans.

That was a relieving call for the boy's mind who started to wonder why conflicts between countries would sustain if both of them where mostly maintained by people living their lifes and wishing for the best to happen. This line of thought get into his mind so he got silent and compliant for the rest of the event. - "It's hard to believe that we actually kill each other. And that in fact people die in this kind of exams. It all seem so... nice... but so tense at the same time..." - he found his place in line and waited for the official instructions - which would flare his line of thoughts when it come to the obsession of one's into getting into a fight with people they barely know.

All and all, they have been duly instructed and Wahei attached the band in his arm. He also adjusted the bandada that covered his right eye and while he was following the crowd heading to the main house ahead, he ended up bumping into something - he didn't realized that actually someone had bumped he - and that made him lost track and get away from Yoru - Hey! Yoru-kun!.. Damn... - he noticed that was late to try reaching him because of the people around - I'll catch you later! Don't worry, mate! - he would be able to find him anyway.

He would realized that he had bumped - not noticing that it was actually the otherwise - in . His expression went drastically serious since he noticed lot of things at once: 1- she was a girl and he barely has spoken to girls; 2- she was clearly a kid and that caught his attention; 3- he was a ninja from the Mist and that's the first time he had the chance of speaking with someone who wasn't from the Land of Fire. - Oh my! I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to bump on you like that - he tried to bend in apology but since there was many people around he couldn't -
Wow! You really are a ninja, aren't you! That's SO awesome! - he added genuinely, ignoring the fact that he himself was also a ninja, but what he meant was that she was a ninja from a different country and village. - My name is Kazuhira Tsukuru Wahei, it's a pleasure to meet you! - he cracked his typical wide and enthusiastic smile, offering a hand in salutation - something he learned from a book that would be a nice friendly gesture to indicate and initiate friendship.

"From the very moment we're thrown into this world, we're fated to bring each other nothing but pain, suffering and misery. I was also blindly obsessed with a trivial and irrational need for vengeance. But I was left behind. Alone. Forgotten. Abandoned. Forsaken. But now, the fog has been truly lifted. One can never run from its ghosts. And that’s exactly all that I am. A lost memory. An undying shadow, in this world of light. From now on, I’ll have to live up to this semi-charmed kind of life. Regardless of this phantom pain. This is my fate. This is my Destiny. It’s not the light which will guide us through the darkness, but the darkness that shall guide us through the light. Never forget. Always remember."

Okingshi gazed across the deep blue sea, looking toward the horizon where he could see their approaching destination, a harbour nestled on the side of an island littered with immense mountains. Such terrain he had never seen before. It was such a vastly different, stark contrast to the landlocked nation of Nohara no Kuni, that he was enamored by the sight. Taking in the breeze. Okingshi strolled neared the edge and railings of the boat, standing there for a moment, looking down to see the waves of water crashing against the wooden hull. He stared in a trance, awestruck by the sight and sounds until the thought of drowning crossed his mind. In an instant, he stepped away, realising that he couldn't use his migration ability within the body of water; a simple fact he found terrifying. "I'm going back below deck, let me know when we arrive" he said to one of his peers while faking a happy demeanour, trying to avoid showing them how frightened he really was.

The steps below deck were narrow and steep, traversing while the boat was rocking side to side was challenge in itself. Once he'd gotten to the bottom, he walked over to his cott and sat down. There his mind mulled over the reason for this journey; the Chuunin Exams. He wasn't nervous at all for them, unlike last time. Instead rather excited as he would prove to himself that his ready to become chuunin. After he'd reassured himself, he spent the rest of the journey cleaning his weapon.

"We've arrived" a voice called out.

Okingshi grabbed his things, and attacted his weapon back onto it's holster. Climbing the steps in almost a rush, he was greeted by a haze of fog that made the terrain he saw earlier almost impossible to perceive. Even looking around the docks, Okingshi could barely make out the many other boats, participants and locals. However he could hear the sounds of a lively and bustling area. Joining the group of kusagakure shinobi as they left the boat, he made his way to the nearby village only a short distance from the docks where they were greeted by a masked man.

Listening carefully to the man and the guidelines he put forth, Okingshi tied the band to his left arm just below the one which denoted his village. As the man began walking, showing off the village, Okingshi was happy to see expanses of nature. 'Maybe I could find some local wild mushrooms' he thought to himself, grinning beneath his mask.

Arriving at a large gated complex, he was disappointed to hear he wouldn't be bunked with Ichi, his only friend participating in the exams. Oh well, maybe he could make more friends. As the masked man disappeared Okingshi made his way into the dormitory, looking for his room. After sometime he found it and walked inside, only to see someone else occupying the room. He took a moment to study the person, a boy with a konogakure headband and very noticeable pale white eyes.

"Hey. I'm Gure, Okingshi! I guess we're roommates" Okingshi exciting exclaimed.

SOMEDAY WE WILL CONNECT THE DOTS AND UNVEIL THE WORLD
Asahi looked out at the oceans and the boat rose and fell on top of the waves. He hadn’t been on a boat this size too many times, the last of which was with Issei Uchiha where they fought off some pirates and took a a visit to Kumogakure. However, this time was different. This boat was headed into the waters of Mizu No Kuni. The time had come. The chuunin exams were getting ready to start, and Asahi would be a part of the event.

His mind, was all over the place. From it’s most recent plague, to anxiety and excitement about the exams to come, the only way he was containing himself was by letting himself get lost in the view. He had been pretty much alone and sticking to himself on the trip so far, but here up top of the boat, there were plenty of people. Shinobi, guards, a civilian alike made their way to Mizu No Kuni to participate and observe. Behind him, from the other side of the boat, he heard a familiar voice call out his name.

He turned to see Wahei sitting next to Yoru, who was reading. Wahei signaled him over and Asahi accepted the invite. He had recently been on a B Rank mission with them and Shigure so he had grown a little closer with that group. And Wahei he had met even before that, through their unofficial mentor Yuuta Gure.

He gave a brief hello to Wahei but didn’t talk much either. Clearly, a lot was on Asahi’s mind. As they got closer to land, it was announced, and Asahi returned to where his stuff was on the boat, to gather it and prepare to disembark onto foreign land...a land where they and the natives, didn’t get along to well.

Stepping off the boat, he wore his porcelain bandage face mask. Eventually, the caravan from Konoha was led to a town within a mountain range. The cold had settled in, and Asahi found himself shivering ever so slightly. His tank top and white medical style jacket, definitely weren’t enough layers, but he would manage. At the entrance to the town they were stopped and addressed. Asahi put the blue band he was given, around his right arm.

He nodded, understanding the simple rule of having to stay in the town. He also took note of the no fighting rule. The green haired boy wasn’t really looking to fight before the exams either, having no bad blood toward anybody at the exam so far, the attitudes between villages aside in his own head. And then they were lead further, eventually reaching a large building behind a gated area.

This would be where they would stay. Not only that, but they would have a random roommate they would be staying with while here. The organizers of this exam were already having a little fun then. Surely, some of the combinations would foster friendships, rivals, and enemies between the large group of genin staying there. They had about a week before the exams would start. That would be plenty of time for seeds to be planted.

Asahi pushed his way through the crowd and toward the board where the roommate assignments were listed. He looked it over, and it took him a bit to find his name. Next to it, was a "Kyobana Ikana” and their assigned room number. Room 202. He nodded, deciding the best thing to do first was head that way and get settled.

He turned back toward the crowd and pushed his way through. In the small sea of participants, he spotting Wahei again and waded over. "Hey Wahei! Who are you rooming with?" Asahi didn't initially see the small girl he was already talking to, and extended his hand out toward, but noticed her when he got closer.

She was about a foot and some shorter than Asahi was himself, and from the looks of her, she couldn't be older than 11, maybe even 10. Was she here for the exams too?! Here he was 16, and here for the first time, but Kirigakure was sending out shinobi who were ready for this at 10?! The genin's shock was hidden behind his mask as he joined them and traded his attention between Wahei and the long brown haired girl.

Oh, the noise of Mizu no Kuni.

"hurk. Blech."

While other people were much more sea bound, it was not one of Shomaru's favorite past times. The soon-adult enjoyed water. Loved laying in it and staring up at the sky. Could fight on it: could stand on it. But in the middle of the ocean, both rocky and with nothing for him to hunker down on - brought about a fear that he'd never had to actually see happen, which was the fear of great, vast open spaces of water. He didn't even mind lakes, because there was land in sight.

On a boat? Just sea? Motion sickness? It made the red haired ill. He did not enjoy, nor want to be from land - which was ironic considering he was in the land of islands and travel by boat to pretty much anywhere that wasn't inside Kirigakure no Sato. 'hurr-' So while people from other lands travelled by boat the same as he, they were having vastly different experiences.

And no doubt their experiences were being infringed on by Shomaru throwing up over the side of the boat to their destination.

Shomaru was more than happy to be on land, having refreshed his palate with water and rinsed it with a bar of candy. He was hungry, mind. There were lots of people there and some faces that even Shomaru had picked out. He had no team himself so was travelling by his own right: as he could, as the Sage Apprentice.

He stood there, arms folded over one another - not having spoken since needing to maintain his cool, ignoring the boat vomiting. The Chūnin exams were no joke and he wanted to pass them first time. That would mean he would need to not act rashly - to put together some ingenuity.

He listened to the .. Chunin proctor? Were they one? Giving the people their introduction. Shomaru would be handed one of the blue bands, and would attach it around his left bicep. On the bright side it was good that he had dressed up appropriately: knowing this land better than some of the other participants. Some minutes more and they would be given free reign to do as they pleased.

Well. Shomaru was tired - time to go for a nap. After that? Food. There was only so much time in the day, so he supposed he needed to go fetch his luggage now and find his room.

Himishi Haruka

The journey was long. Haruka did show she was getting used to the training weights Rentaro had advised but even with them on and escorting her to the Exams. The Himishi was rather aggravated with him. What man would ever dare call a girl, in essence flat; unable to garner attention; being nothing to look at. The teenager was quite honestly pissed at him and even on the boat ride, she mostly kept to herself. She only spoke when it was a purposeful conversation with him rather than idle chatter. Haruka neither appreciated the fact nor did she find it funny in the slightest. What he said was more hurtful than anything else that training day. But, she still only trusted him to escort her, even if he pissed her off.

Upon arrival from the ferry at Mizu no Terra, Haruka was pretty sure they were at the Kirigakure village, why wouldn't it be, lying about the name was a better way to misguide individuals and frankly, the girl was too upset to actually investigate. Arriving at the town with a small group of other... participants? The Iwagakure Kunoichi observed as a masked man arrived to greet them. She listened to his words and took mental note of it and the fact if Rentaro also broke the rule, she could kiss her participation goodbye. At least, that'd be some first kiss.

When the bands were beginning to be handed out, Haruka silently tied hers to her left shoulder, that should be noticeable enough. Haruka continued to follow the man and the group until they arrived at the compound, no one was trying to talk to her, a thing she liked as she wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. He vanished after announcing the low down of how things would go. She flashed a glance over at Rentaro before going off to find her assigned room, the halls were absolutely confusing but at least some of it made a lick of sense. Upon finding her room, she would see the second name on the room. Looks like... I'm in a room with a 'Kazuhira Tsukuru Wahei'... What kind of name is that? Parents must have hated him or something.

It only took a few seconds before Haruka entered the room, closing it behind her. She immediately chose a bed and chose to lie down. Becoming Chūnin better be worth it.

Tomekenzangan (Tōzasō) | All-Seeing Eye of the Present
Haruka achieved both the rare dōjutsu and the even rarer Tōzasō state of the eye. Being a direct evolution of Iwakusō, boons of both can be accessed by the Genin. With crystal clarity, the girl is capable of recalling information and memories down to a surreal level. As if she could live in it, it also grants her capabilities to look through memories and implant her own or even reconstruct the other's memory through the use of clan jutsu. It can also gives her great ability of her own intelligence locked behind the eye. From the Tōzasō aspect, Haruka attains a great level of perception both in tacking and reading any given situation, exponentially increasing strategic or investigating abilities. The strongest boon is the ability to track movement from both powerups granted by the past and present eye. Every minute detail is tracked at great speeds for Haruka.

Unnatural Intelligence
Even before the Tomekenzangan, the girl has always had an almost metahuman intelligence, able to decipher a large number of details in seconds and map out events with marks like a video into the event. The Genin is even capable of quick, logical thought, all while maintaining a long term-memory of the details. Boosted by the Dōjutsu's passive effects, the girl's ability to recall and process new information increases exponentially. Every cognitive ability is boosted allowing the girl to process and retain much information new or old. Haruka easily surpasses genius levels thanks to both the great boons of her blood and her eyes.

The journey to Mizu no Kuni was a long one, but something he was familiar with as he had been traveling to the country a few times the last few months. He was used to leaving the village and traveling to other places, but no matter how many times he was used to traveling, he didn't like it much. After all, it made him feel tired, one of the advantages that they had to travel to Mizu no Kuni is that he could sleep during the trip by boat. This time he was coming for a little different occasion, he was tasked with escorting Haruka to the Chuunin Exams. The request didn't come to much surprise, as she could be considered to be his protégé, ignoring the fact that the teenager was not happy with him due to recent events that took place.

Upon their arrival to Mizu no Terra, he knew that they were not in Kirigakure. As he was familiar with Mizu no Kuni's Hidden Village, he could tell right away they have arrived on a different occasion. He decided not to say anything about it, as it was clear that the Mizukage didn't want the Chuunin Exams or participants to remain in Kirigakure. A smart move, after all, allowing shinobi from foreign countries, was basically inviting them to gather information about their defenses, fortifications, etc. that could be used against them in the future if they weren't careful.

Rentaro paid attention to the man in his twenties that exited the gates and started to explain the instructions both to the participants and their escorts. For some reason the man's voice and cheerful expression seemed familiar to him, it was as if he had heard him before from somewhere. Yet he had never seen him in his life before. The instructions were straightforward, they weren't allowed to leave the town without authorization. He took the band that was provided to him and placed it on his left arm, as his shinobi forehead protector was already on his right arm.

After that, he followed the man into the building until they arrived at the compound they were going to stay at. Rentaro turned to look at Haruka as she glanced at him, he didn't need to hear what she had to say as he already understood she was going to head off to search for her room. "Alright then, have fun exploring. I'll probably head off and check the place out, I'll stop by later." Rentaro said as a professional slacker he was, the man had planned to head out to explore the village. His first objective was to find a place to eat as he was starving. Overall, he wanted to see what the place had to offer and stop by checking on Haruka later, even if she was still angry at him. Teenagers will be teenagers.

Riding in naval ships was something that, surprise surprise, Kazue was already quite well-accustomed to. Being born and raised in the Land of Waves meant getting used to traveling around in boats. Working for Kirigakure meant that even more so, as more often than not when you traveled on an excursion as required by the missions he had been sent on, you would have to do it by the water. Land travel was something of a commodity when it came to missions. And not only was he accustomed to traveling by water, but when they finally arrived at Mizu no Tera, he couldn't help but notice how short the trip was, in comparison to all of the voyages he had participated in thus far. He had never been to this part of the continent, and it seemed to be a regal place. No wonder they held an event like the Chuunin Exams here. He noticed that they were accompanied by a guard, and he looked them over briefly before shrugging and deciding that he had no idea who the hell they were. But it wasn't like he knew everyone in Kirigakure.[break][break]They were soon joined by another masked shinobi, who Kazue also decided he didn't recognize. He had been looking at all of the shinobi that had joined them, just getting a good idea of anyone who stood out, but walking near Kasumi for the time being, since she was the only person he really knew here. He did think he saw someone that looked kind of familiar among the group, but he didn't observe them for too long. His expression turned into one of annoyance when their new shinobi friend turned out to be a cheery one. He listened to the overly cheery announcer while thinking over everyone he had observed. One thing, in particular, stood out; the white eyes that Kyouka had mentioned before. He would have to keep a close eye on that one. Maybe he'd fight him. The thought was... exciting. And he grinned lightly as he listened. He put on the blue band as instructed, tying it around his right bicep tightly. He wasn't afraid about any constricting, though, there's no way something like that would be able to cut off the blood flow on that kind of arm. They weren't allowed to leave Mizu no Tera, and they weren't allowed to fight. The one speaking didn't say that they risked expulsion if they fought, but it could have just been a slip of the tongue. And he wasn't going to risk his promotion for something like that... No matter how fun it sounds.[break][break]After all of the exposition from the instructor, they were taken to where they would be staying. He kept in mind the mention of a cafeteria and started to scan through the rooms. He looked at the names on each dorm room and saw Kasumi's name on one. So he wouldn't be rooming with her, which... wasn't exactly surprising. He'd just have to live with a stranger. But... he hadn't counted the number of Genin competing at the event. So he found his room, his bag slung over his shoulder, and saw indeed that he did have a roommate. He sighed, and turned, heading to the cafeteria. He might as well see what they had.[break][break]To be continued in separate threads.[break][break]

"Welcoming committee".
"For the wise man, everyday is a festival"
Plutarch

Room and Roommate.

Wahei was not very good in social conventions, in spite of being delighted with the presence of a Kirigakure' kunoichi - young one. But in the middle of the confusion of many people passing by and he - thinking that - he had bumped her, Asahi's voice got him back in track of what he needed to do. It was also nice having a familiar face around for such moments - Oh! You're right! I almost forgot to check the board! Thanks, Asahi-san! - he cracked a smile for his friend.

Then turned to the young lady again -
My sincerely apologies for having bumped on you, deary - he have read that using soft compliments might help in captivating people - but I really need to go now! Hope you find your roommate and you both get along! - I mean - wouldn't it be the craziest should we were in the same room? - I mean - anyone around could be your roommate and that is so exciting! - Anyway, see ya' - his was naturally talkative, but now his tone was rushy, but also gentle and honest tho. He then looked at Asahi again asking him at the same tone - Asahi-san, are you coming or not? - it was almost a rethorical question, since he promptly jumped into the crowd trying to find space and get into the board.

This was Wahei excited and thrilling living every aspect of the event, as if it were all a great adventure. Eventually he found out the info he needed and again look at the sea of people around - "Himishi Haruka - how am I suppose to find you among these people?" - "Finally! Some feminine energy in your world" - "I've literally just talked to a girl, Lust" - "She strongly ignored you, my love, it looked a lot to a cold blood murder" - "She probably was just shy as Yoru-san. And I bumped her" - "Actually, my love, she bumped you. "Twice" if you know what I mean" - "Oh. Really? Well, it doesn't matter anymore! I need to meet this Himishi Haruka." - "Perhaps you should try finding your room. Eventually she will have to go there anyway" - "Lust, you are a GENIUS! - I must listen to you more" - "Oh, my love, this is something we really can surely agree".

Wahei the waked towards his room, meeting the dormitory, getting familiar with some of the communal spaces and everything else related to the place they would spend the next days. The boy excitement were real, and, at least so far, he was totally enjoin every part of being at the CE.
