"cutting the lines". "No matter how many people you may lose, you have no choice but to go on living." AGILITY
The archers started firing arrows as fast as they could, and even for someone with sharp reflexes as Shigure and with a developing agility, he had to keep his focus to avoid all the projectiles as he ran towards his attackers. Some of the arrows came dangerously close to him, but his body was starting to learn how to move in a more agile way, needing way less momentum to change his directions, which allowed him to use side steps and quick motions to stay safe. "This is where I'm still lacking..." he realized, but he would continue to train to develop that side of him, so he could become a more complete fighter.
Once he got in range, he hit one of the archers in the chin, sending him to the water unconscious, he would not survive this. After the first attack, he spun his body and hit another one's arms with a heel kick, prompting him to drop the bow. The other two, noticing a ranged weapon would do them no good, drew knives and engaged Shigure from both flanks, while the other one took a step back to prepare for the fight.
Shigure began using his reflexes and agility to avoid the attempts at stabbing him, moving his body away from the blades quickly, and then shifting directions almost immediately. It was straining to do that, he noticed, but this battle was almost over. With his palm strikes, he dodged their fifth attempt to stab him and immediately countered by hitting their wrists and forcing them to drop the weapons, leaping upwards and kicking them in the face, sending one of them into the water, and the other one into the burning deck.
Catching on fire forced that one to jump into the water to try and save himself, leaving Shigure to face the last remaining bandit alone.
"So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honour as a Shinobi, for the price of freedom is steep."
