If one were to venture deep within Hi no Kuni's highlands, in an area of unforgivable terrain, they would find something out of place when compared to the natural vast expanse of the area. A large building, nestled in one of the most remote regions of the fire country. Stepping out of the structure was Hyuga Kayaku, native born Hi no Kunian and one of the country's most wanted criminals. Although the man has been everything but a criminal in recent years, his infamy would still strike fear into those who happened to stumble upon him. Kayaku, however, has renounced most of his criminal ways. Setting aside the bloodlust, the violence and urge to control the world around him for the life of a martial artist.

Sunlight peeked around the mountain the man now called home, teasing the landscape with several rays of light. The brisk morning air nipped at the Hyuga's skin as he walked towards a battered and bruised area of land. The tortured land beneath him was a result of Kayaku awakening an ability that could very well be the panicle of chakra control. With it, he was able to drastically increase his already large degree of strength. Since obtaining what he called chakra enhanced strength, the ghost of the Hyuga clan had been training his body and mind to become familiar with the ability.

Today would be no different; having finally reached the center of the scarred training area. The grandmaster of the currently unnamed mountain-side dojo, Kayaku wrapped his battered and bruised arms in bandages. From the top of his fingers up to his shoulder, the man wrapped and wrapped again, wanting the covering to be as sturdy and tight as possible. Training the Chakra Enhanced Strength, releasing his potent chakra with pinpoint accuracy caused wear and tear of his hands and arms.

"Training alone again it seems… heh wouldn't be the first time I guess" he paused and started stretching his body, preparing for the arduous session ahead of him. "Won't be the last either" he said, the stretching getting his blood flowing for the morning. If luck was on his side, today would be the day that someone would stumble upon his Dojo in the middle of nowhere. If such a thing did happen, Kayaku would greet them as Grandmaster of the dojo, and not an S-rank Missing-nin. He'd more than likely ask them to join his training session or to have some tea, honorably and genuinely. However, if they so happened to not reciprocate the neutrality and honor that he had given them; the Hyuga would not hold back in his retaliation. He would not stop until their chakra system was destroyed and their body, organs, bones and flesh crushed into paste upon the rocky ground beneath them.

Stringing together handseals, the Hyuga activated the shadow clone jutsu, creating a single clone. Although it wasn't the same as training against a real person, this particular shadow clone was created from Kayaku's likeness. Which meant that it had access to all of the elite Jounin's abilities, including his strength, speed and endurance; making the copy a great training partner. The clone was already aware of the situation, falling into the gentle fist stance it would simply nod at the original to signify it was ready.

Kayaku wasted no time or effort and moved straight for the shadow clone, although he did not use any techniques or the gentle fist jutsu. Instead, the original relied solely on his physical strength and speed. Two palm strikes were sent forward, one aiming at the clone's face and immediately after it's chest. The shadow clone responded by side stepping the initial palm, before trying aiming a knife hand to the back of Kayaku's neck. The original dropped low to the ground to evade the knife hand, he'd then spin his body with one foot reached out to trip the clone.

The clone barely evaded the leg sweep, jumping back several times before rushing towards the original. Kayaku was already back to his feet, as the clone approached the original would leap into a flying kick. The clone couldn't evade so it blocked with both arms instead. Despite successfully blocking the kick, it's force sent the clone sliding across the ground. Kayaku smiled, despite not having a real training partner to increase his skills, trading blows with himself was a difficult task. The clone recovered it's footing and fell into the gentle fist stance, surprising the original. "I know what you're thinking… You're wishing that you had an actual person to train with. Hehehe, can't say I wouldn't feel the same way, after all I'm you. However, you shouldn't underestimate yourself" the clone said, using its massive speed to quickly close the distance between himself and the original.

The clone's words were true, Kayaku was one of the strongest Taijutsu users that Konoha had ever produced, it would be stupid to think his own shadow clone wouldn't be enough to train with. The two of them engaged one another, the clone's palms releasing chakra with every strike. Kayaku held fast to not using chakra just yet, relying on the Byakugan, his speed and strength to evade, redirect or counter the clone's strikes. Eventually the two would become a blur to the untrained eye, the only thing visible would be their tracks in the ground from where they had recently stepped.

"Ōkashō [Cherry Blossom Impact]" the original Kayaku exclaimed, finally using chakra in an attempt to destroy the clone in one quick strike. However, using the latest jutsu derived from the chakra enhanced strength on an actual opponent was different than when practicing with a stationary training dummy. So much so that it allowed the clone to escape Kayaku's jutsu.

Jutsu Used:

Shadow Clone x1

NAME: Ōkashō [Cherry Blossom Impact]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Taijutsu
ELEMENT: -
HANDSEALS: 0
REQUIREMENT: Chakra Gouriki [Chakra Enhanced Strength]
DESCRIPTION:
While some may see it as "superhuman strength", this technique is actually an application of medical ninjutsu, that demands the ability to concentrate, along with minute chakra control. An immense amount of chakra is kneaded inside the body, and a moment later all of it it is gathered into the fist. That chakra is then released into the target, which does a great amount of damage. With the damage done dependent on the amount of chakra used, it is also possible for a skilled shinobi to amass it in their fingertip. When the ground is hit it is pulverized into minute pieces by the excess shock, which are then scattered like flower petals, giving rise to the name "Cherry Blossom Impact".

SA Used:

Byakugan Master[Always Active]

One of Kayaku's trademark abilities is his Byakugan, with the other two being his Taijutsu and chakra control. While the Byakugan is very common within in his clan, Kayaku's is especially powerful. With his eyes, he has a near-360° penetrative field of vision, with a small blind-spot exists behind his third upper-thoracic vertebrae. Kayaku's Byakugan gives him the ability to see chakra, which it can do to a greater degree than the Sharingan, with it he can identify chakra by the specific individuals it originates from and determine when genjutsu is being used. Kayaku's ability to see chakra is acute enough to see the chakra pathway system and the 361 tenketsu that run along it, including the Eight Chakra Gates, additionally his vision can penetrate through most solid objects and obstructions, however certain barriers may distort his Byakugan's perception

The range of this vision varies between clan members, however Kayaku has refined both his long range and close range visual prowess. When focusing his vision in a single direction, Kayaku can see across vast distances, reaching as far away as 15 kilometers, while at close distances his Byakugan grants his attacks pinpoint accuracy, allowing him to magnify in on the slightest movements of his opponents body and inturn move to dodge or intercept. Lastly, Kayaku's Byakugan is able to follow high-speed movements, which allows the him to react better under entense situation. With that being said Kayaku's prowess with his Byakugan is such that it allows him to see the faintest movements of his opponents body, see fast-moving objects or opponents, chara and his opponents Organs, simply put Kayaku has one of the strong Byakugan's to hail from the clan.

Agility of the Rabbit

Over the years, Kayaku has gained a high level of agility, this coupled with the added visual prowess granted to him by his Byakugan has also endowed him with impressive evasive skills. Utilizing both his agility and the dojutsu allows him to dodge, evade and even counter the trickiest of attacks. Kayaku has also learned to read his enemies' attack patterns with the Byakugan, which greatly increases his already potent evasive skills. This is done by Kayaku paying close attention to the enemie's chakra system and body movements, allowing Kayaku to basically see when his opponent is about to attack.

Enhanced Physical Speed

Even without speed enhancing jutsu, Kayaku is naturally fast and now thanks to the tremendous raw strength in his legs, Kayaku's natural speed is more than enough to keep shinobi busy during battle. Allowing him to move fast enough to instantly close a gaps between him and his opponent. In battle, he can strike with incredible speed in rapid succession, making it highly difficult for his opponents to find an opening and counterattack. This allows him to react to the visual information given to him by his Byakugan, such as seeing incoming projectiles, or enemy jutsu or even dodging close range attacks that would be impossible to do so otherwise.

Matchless Man

Kayaku has gained a large degree of physical strength as a result of his life long Taijutsu training. Admittedly, Kayaku had intended to increase his striking power but unintentionally found many different uses for his unimaginable strength. Now honed to elite shinobi standards and possibly higher, Kayaku's strength is no doubt top tier. Kayaku's strength is mostly displayed is in his ability to seemingly punch, break or attack through anything. Whether this is attributed to the use of chakra or strength alone has yet to be determined. However, with his natural strength alone Kayaku can easily punch through most objects such as flesh, bones and wood, with the use of a chakra his striking power could extend to concrete, steel and even chakra constructs. As mentioned above, this strength also comes in handy with other situations as well, being a taijutsu master, Kayaku can easily attack or Defend against most his opponent's attacks with his bare hands.

Endurance of the Taijutsu Master

Another one of Kayaku's defining traits is his extreme level of physical endurance, like his physical strength Kayaku has trained his entire body in order for him to survive deadly attacks that was attributed to Taijutsu but in later years ninjutsu as well. Allowing him to survive most attacks or continue fighting with injuries capable of bringing even jounin to their knees. This, coupled with his incredible strength, make him an incredibly fearsome foe if forced to fight seriously.

Hyuga's Chakra Prowess

Like all Hyuga clan members Kayaku was born with an inherent ability to expel chakra from any or all Tenketsu, over the Years Kayaku has mastered the use of this ability and has gained exceptional amount of control of his chakra, It usually takes a shinobi a great deal of time and training to gain just an average amount of chakra control. However, in Kayaku's case things were different. Even as a young child, Kayaku was able to mould his own chakra. Now, as an adult and an S ranked Missing-nin, Kayaku's chakra control is otherworldly. Kayaku's innate talent allows him to precisely gather chakra from any part of his body and use any of his techniques to its maximum potential with no wasted chakra or timing. Kayaku has expanded his chakra control to the point that he is able to rapidly accumulate large amounts of chakra within his body without his enemies noticing, and unleash it from any tenketsu without any wasted effort.

No One Will Tell Me How To Live
Hi No Kuni.

A land covered in sprawling roots and massive trees. A place she was currently exploring. She had just left Kusagakure behind her, and now Mayumi was moving on, exploring more of the world. Why? Who knew? Maybe one day she’d be able to find out. But for now she’d keep on moving. Step after step. One foot after another.

Really it was all she could do. Because she was lost. The area around her looked remarkably similar to the area she had just past moments before. Thanks to her fuuinjutsu skills, she wouldn’t run out of food anytime soon, but what she would run out of was her sanity. She wanted to see some sort of civilization already! Letting out a scream of frustration, Mayumi kicked a nearby tree before clutching her foot in pain. Stupid tree with its stupidly durable bark. She hated Hi No Kuni.

A few hours later she heard the sounds of grunts and thuds coming from somewhere above her. People? Actual signs of civilization? Could it be? Feeling a dim ray of hope begin to blossom in her heart, Mayumi sped up her steps, hurrying towards the sounds of fighting in the distance. When she emerged from the treeline, she was met with the sight of two similar looking men fighting, at a speed so quick she almost couldn’t see them move. Brushing off the twigs and dirt that accumulated on her clothing, the blonde haired woman took a moment to look around.

A large building stood nearby, the only signs of civilization in this remote region. And judging from what she could see, there was only that building. Just where in fact was she? Scratching her head in confusion, Mayumi turned around and looked back the way she had come. How had she gotten here exactly? The past few days had gone by in a blur for her, due to the heat and to the boredom she had felt with all the traveling she had to endure. Either way, she was here now, and she could finally get some answers.

"Excuse me! Do you know where I am? I’m kinda lost. Was just kinda wandering and ended up here…wherever here is.” Hopefully whoever this person was didn’t kill her and chop up her corpse into tiny pieces and cook her into some stew or something equally as strange. That would be Mayumi’s luck. Mayhaps she should stay on her guard?

The clone quickly used heavenly palm rotation to defend against Kayaku's air palm. Kayaku was a force of nature, serene when on defense and devastating when on the offensive. The ground upon the mountain shook with renewed vigor before Kayaku's voice rang out until the mountain range; "Wait!!! Time Out!!". It was the clone that spoke the words, having done so in the knick of time. The original's fist stopped inches away from the clone's face, " Saved by the intruder? Lucky you!" Original Kayaku said jokingly. Like the Shadow Clone, Kayaku's byakugan had already picked up on the shinobi's chakra signature and the direction they were traveling.

"I told you that the person would likely head our way. Especially with all the noise you tend to make" the clone stated arrogantly. "Well then a deal is a deal. I'll go greet our guests! He added, reminding his maker of the bet between them. Moments ago when the training sessions had reached it's zenith, Clone Kayaku would spot a chakra signature moving towards the mountain range or at least it seemed like it. Neither Kayaku or his Clone mentioned the signature, both knew the other would see it. At least until there was no mistaking their projection of the shinobi's current path. The odds that the person would at the very least stumble upon the mountain range had increased dramatically to the point that it was fairly assured.

SEVERAL HOURS EARLIER

The shinobi will more than likely happen upon the mountain range, no I'm nearly one hundred percent sure they have already seen it not too far in the distance" the clone spoke during one of their earlier breaks to quench their thirst. Sweating profusely, Original Kayaku down a canteen of water within mere seconds before speaking. "Ahhhhhhhh… that's some good water. The fresh water spring on the other side of the big peak is priceless. Oh? I doubt they'll even be able to make it up this far. Afterall, the best Dojo are all located in formidable, unforgiving and dangerous places. That's literally why I decided on this remote area. The land is teeming with carnivorous animals, the flora is poisonous or caustic to the touch. Which isn't mentioning how difficult it is to even breathe up here. The higher they go the thinner the air becomes, hell we only recently gotten used to it ourselves." The original explained, if only to hear himself talk about his Dojo's location. He felt pride in the location he has chosen to be the first of many to come.

Why do that look when you're explaining?! Don't tell me? Yeesh, Such Pride in the location of a nameless Dojo" the clone said before walking back towards the training area. The original Kayaku decided to have a quick bite of food before returning. Nearly dropping a couple dango he had cooked earlier, due to the clone's disrespect and total disregard of the effort Kayaku had put into finding such a place. Once back out within the training area, the clone would speak again. "Tell you what…" he began before immediately being interrupted by the original.

"If you're going to bash my Dojo some more, I should warn you that I happen to like this area and" the Original was now interrupted by the clone who couldn't help but laugh. "Nah, I'm just making a little deal with you. If they somehow, someway, manage to make it here or within the surrounding wilderness. I want to be the one to make first contact" the clone finished. A now arrogant Kayaku agreed to the deal without so much as even demanding something in return should he win the best. The fact that he was gonna prove that his Dojo was located in an illogically arduous and burdensome area within Hi no kuni was enough for him.

 Back to the Future?(PRESENT TIME)

A couple hours after the dye had been cast by the two Hyuga. Clone Kayaku had only smiled towards his creator before disappearing. The faux Hyuga moved at breakneck speed to intercept the visitors, however the original Kayaku had other plans; one that involved using a large tree as a makeshift sled to descend down the mountain-side faster than his Clone could on foot. Neither Kayaku claimed a win during descent, Clone Kayaku had commandeered his own Tree Trunk Sled and moved to beat his maker by causing his Trunk Sled to veer off course. However, it didn't go quite as the clone planned. Both Kayaku's lost control of their respective sleds, the original way smart enough to jump towards one of the many jutting rock formations littered about the area. However, the same couldn't be said for Clone Kayaku who, instead, tried to regain control over the AWOL Tree Trunk.

Moments later the Original would feel chakra returning to his body, a key sign that the clone had met it's end. "Hehehehe'' he laughed to himself before another person spoke, their voice and chakra unfamiliar but didn't seem to pose any threat.
"Oh? Well, you've just so happened to stumble upon the lair of an S rank missing-nin. Or so the legends say. Though I haven't seen such a person and I've been here for about three months. I heard the man should've died long ago but his Restless Spirit and will to battle up at that Dojo there" Kayaku paused to point at his Dojo from where they were. "Where was I? Oh yeah, so legends says that this will and restless spirit or whatever has kept it bound to the mountain itself" the Hyuga stated. As per usual, when meeting new people, He'd come up with an elaborate hoax rather than something more simple or downright telling the truth.

No One Will Tell Me How To Live
Watching as the two black haired men began to sled down the mountain side on what seemed to be tree sleds, Mayumi felt a headache begin to grow inside of her skull. Just what was she witnessing here? A sight almost too unbelievable to believe. Especially when the two lost control of their own vehicles, causing one to tumble off the edge. As Mayumi lost sight of one of the men, she wondered if the strange man had survived. Judging from how she couldn’t feel his chakra signature anymore, the chances were slim. It seemed she needed to be on her best behavior then. The people she was conversing with didn’t seem to be exactly sane.

As the man in front of her responded to her, Mayumi narrowed her eyes in suspicion. She stumbled upon the lair of an S rank missing-nin or so the legends said? Wasn’t that just you then?! Naturally she didn’t say such a thing and nodded her head politely. If the mentally disabled S rank missing-nin said something was so, then it was. She wasn’t in a position to argue with him, not if she wanted to live at least. Staring at the spot the duplicate of the man had tumbled off the edge from, Mayumi frowned in thought.

"The man who had just fallen off there….that wasn’t the Restless Spirit was it?” Staring at Kayaku awkwardly, the blonde haired woman wondered how the man was going to respond. There were quite a bit of holes in his story. After all, this dojo was located smack dab in the middle of nowhere. It was quite the challenge for people to find, and she herself had found it based off of luck and her chakra sensory, but only because Kayaku himself had been here. Plus he had been here for three months? With no one else? Why would he do such a thing if he was not the Restless Spirit he spoke of?

Scratching her head, Mayumi let out an exhausted sigh. The journey here had been tiring and she was still feeling the effects. It was as if the air itself was fighting against her, making her struggle to even get a breath of air. Perhaps it was the elevation level she was at? She had heard the higher you go up on the mountain, the harder it was to breathe. Not to mention the animals and flora she had to deal with on the way here. Thankfully she could put all of that behind her now that she was at the dojo, but it had still been a major pain. But from the looks of things, this Restless Spirit might be an even bigger problem.

"Huh no, that was me. Wait, are you implying that I'm the restless spirit?! How could you say something so controversial yet so brave?! Do you know what this means?" The Hyuga paused for theatrical effect, before continuing as he wanted to make sure the person was aware of the implications they had just made. "If I were indeed this missing-nin that you speak of, and I'm not saying that I am, mind you. Wouldn't that make me dangerous? Or at the very least a restless spirit or lost soul?" It wasn't everyday that the Hyuga had the chance to speak with other people let alone shinobi. So when he did, he often took advantage of the situation by having a bit of fun with whoever had been lucky enough to stumble upon him. "Luckily for you though my new compadre, I'm fairly certain that I'm not a criminal… I haven't been one of those in ages." He continued.

As the clone Kayaku spoke to the newbie, the original surveyed the outlaying area for allies or signs of them being affiliated with a hidden village or shinobi nation. The original would return to his clone and the new person he was certain that the person was alone and had not been followed. Of course he wouldn't drop his facade just yet, could anyone blame him? It was insanely difficult just for missing nin to survive let alone have various human interaction. If Kayaku wasn't who he was, strong of will and mind, he would probably have gone insane.

"Well what type of spectre would I be if I didn't offer you a place to rest? How about it? As a reward for making it through the Kami forsaken landscape. Though I will say it's quite befitting for the fabled Ghost of Hyuga clan." The original Kayaku said nonchalantly, despite actually wanting some company for a change.

"Waaaaahhh? I would never imply such a thing. Just uhhhh…..merely considering my options ya know? Restless spirit be sounding kinda spooky.”

Staring at the clearly dangerous man as he continued speaking, Mayumi watched as he eyed her up and down. The lone man was an odd sort, but she was sure anyone would be living up here all on their lonesome. After all, no man would seclude himself up in the mountains. No sane person would do such a thing. Living by yourself tended to make you delusional, as you needed companionship to keep yourself sane, something this man seemed to sorely lack.

"I’m not affiliated with any villages, so I really wouldn’t fear the missing-nin spirit I don’t think? Unless he's just particularly bloodthirsty. There are always those types out there. He is a spirit though so I dunno. I don’t think you’re supposed to let them wander. Ain’t you supposed to put them to rest? But then again, who even decided that?”

Narrowing her eyes in thought, Mayumi debated if she wanted to go down that philosophical train of thought she just brought up. Probably not all things considered. She was tired and sweaty. Perhaps another time when she wasn’t so grimy? "Don’t mind if I do. There doesn’t seem to be anywhere else for me to stay for many miles judging from what I can see.”

Intentionally not bringing up the fact that Kayaku just called himself a spectre, Mayumi nodded her head. Kayaku was a little strange, but he didn’t seem all that bad. Now it was time to see what this little place in this middle of nowhere had to offer.
