hanebu | feather dance | Jiton
Hanebu is a delicate style of combat reliant on Jiton. By manipulating magnetic fields one controls the movement of one to hundreds of blades. Kenbu uses fluid and swift movements to create a flurry of offensive and defensive maneuvers. It is necessary for one to be gifted with Jiton and a precise knowledge of chakra control in order to master Kenbu. The amount and type of blades one can use with Hanebu is dependant on one's skills. To manipulate more than listed below would require a true mastery of Hanebu (special ability slot).
Genin | 20 shuriken-like weapons, 10 dagger-like weapons, 5 katana-like weapons.
Chuunin | 50 shuriken-like weapons, 25 dagger-like weapons, 15 katana-like weapons.
Sp. Jounin | 100 shuriken-like weapons, 50 dagger-like weapons, 25 katana-like weapons.
Jounin | 200 shuriken-like weapons, 100 dagger-like weapons, 50 katana-like weapons NAME: Tsubame no Mai [ Dance of the Swallow] RANK: D CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Jiton | Magnetism HANDSEALS: N/A REQUIREMENT: Enhanced Chakra Control DESCRIPTION:A simple and core movement of Hanebu. With a gentle guiding motion with one's hands one's blades will follow. They will strike in front of the dancer, moving diagonally in an "x" formation. One can continue to the flow of blades to strike consecutively. The stream of blades will range from 0 to 5 metres beyond the dancer.
NAME: Heiganahiru no Mai [ Dance of the Moorhen] RANK: D CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Jiton | Magnetism HANDSEALS: N/A REQUIREMENT: Enhanced Chakra Control DESCRIPTION:Dance of the Moorhen allows one to manipulate the polarization between oneself and their blades. This dance can be performed nearly instantenously. This technique strengthens the magnetic force manipulating the blades to allow them to stand against their opponent as if the strength of a human was behind them. This allows one to counter the force of the average physical blow from a person or blade.
NAME: Hario no Mai [ Dance of the Needletail] RANK: D CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Jiton | Magnetism HANDSEALS: N/A REQUIREMENT: Enhanced Chakra Control DESCRIPTION:This movement can easily be weaved through other movements. While one is performing a dance, a maneuver can be interrupted to create a swift stream of blades that strikes out in a single straight line. This stream of blades will strike out 5 metres before returning to the previous dance. NAME: Tsuru no Mai [ Dance of the Crane] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Jiton | Magnetism HANDSEALS: 1 REQUIREMENT: Enhanced Chakra Control DESCRIPTION:One will form a single handseal amidst any dance. This will cause the blades to strike out in five different straight streams. This dance is much like Hario no Mai, but more numerous and quick. Each stream will reach up to 5 metres, and can form from wherever one has their blades in any direction. NAME: Mizutori no Mai [ Dance of the Waterfowl] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Jiton | Magnetism HANDSEALS: 1 REQUIREMENT: Enhanced Chakra Control DESCRIPTION:One will perform a single handseal, causing all the blades under one's control to halt. Immediately, all the blades will hone onto one single point slicing through whatever target is chosen. The target must be within 20 metres.
NAME: Hato no Mai [ Dance of the Dove] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Very Lo CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Jiton | Magnetism HANDSEALS: N/A REQUIREMENT: Enhanced Chakra Control DESCRIPTION:This dance begins by withdrawing one's blades so that they swirl around oneself. Then they will flurry around oneself like scattering doves in a cone shape roughly 5 metres in diameter, and no higher than oneself. This dance can be instananeous or can be maintained for a continuous very low drain. NAME: Tairanchou no Mai [ Dance of the Flycatcher] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Low | Very Low Drain CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Jiton | Magnetism HANDSEALS: N/A REQUIREMENT: Enhanced Chakra Control DESCRIPTION:The dance of the flycatcher creates two streams of blades which are manipulated. Each stream will spin in a 2 metre wide circle independant of the other, much like the mid-air sommersaults of the flycatcher or even like a buzzsaw. This technique can be instanaous or can be mainted for an additional very low drain. NAME: Higegara no Mai [ Dance of the Reedling] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Jiton | Magnetisim HANDSEALS: 2 REQUIREMENT: Enhanced Chakra Control DESCRIPTION:This dance creates a spherical flurry of blades around oneself. The sphere itself is quite localized, only 2 metres from the body. However, what this dance lacks in scope it makes up for in speed. The blades orbit around oneself at a speed which blurs their image. Anything weaker than a steel blade will find itself pureed upon entering the sphere. NAME: Tsugumi no Mai [ Dance of the Thrush] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Jiton | Magnetisim HANDSEALS: 1 REQUIREMENT: Advanced Chakra Control DESCRIPTION:After performing a single handseal, one's blades will gather above their head and swiftly rain down around them in a cone (2 metres). The blades will then retract in the same direction as they extend to the length of one's ankles. This up and down motion will be repeated three times quite swiftly. NAME: Umonashi no Mai [ Dance of the Featherless] RANK: B CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Jiton | Magnetism HANDSEALS: 4 REQUIREMENT: Enhanced Chakra Control DESCRIPTION:This technique allows one to create two permanently altered magnetic field around their feet. This remains in place, but has a constant drain. These small alterations allow one to mimic flight. One is likely unable to out speed those on foot, instead they can move seamlessly in any direction. Despite this being a passive technique, it requires extremely precise chakra control to manage while performing other techniques.
