DESTINATION: COLLAPSED CAVE A couple months ago, Shigure led a team of Grass shinobi to a village near the border of the Basin Country, where monsters were terrorizing the population. The team tracked down the monsters to a cave where they engaged in combat and defeated them, but while there, Shigure noticed - with his Byakugan - that they had an underground laboratory where the creatures were likely created. He also noticed other creatures were roaming inside, as if they were loose. Taking note of that, the then Chuunin reported the findings to the Hokage's office, and now a follow up mission was issued. Ideally, he would like to bring the same team for this follow up mission, but Koume and Kojirou were still Genin, and this one was considered a B-Rank Mission due to the risks involved. Due to that, Shigure had the idea of inviting a friend of his who he knew was quite capable of taking care of himself, and thus word was sent to the Hidden Cloud, so that Daisuke could join Shigure. Once they were together, he would go through the details of the mission. "Our goal is to infiltrate this lab, assess if its abandoned or not and destroy it. If there are research papers, we need to retrieve them, and in case we can't retrieve them, destroy it. There are beasts roaming the area, and they are quite dangerous. More so than the ones I faced before." he briefed his friend. The Hyuuga then travelled to the village near the collapsed cave - Koume's doing - and the two of them were ready to depart, he would guide him to the collapsed cave, which was located to the north of the village. "So... I'm a Special Jounin now, by the way. Ain't that neat?" he mentioned as they approached their destination. He wanted to break the ice with a more casual conversation before discussing their course of action, which he intended on doing the moment they arrived at the entrance of the cave. By now, Daisuke had grown quite fond of working with Shigure from the Hidden Leaf. They had done a mission in the past, capturing one nuke-nin by the name of Gou... Something or other... But, in that mission, they had achieved great success on their combined teamwork. So, when news came from Konoha that Daisuke was once more being requested to aid the Hyuuga on an assignment, he would happily step away from his new duties as assistant to the Raikage. He was greatful for the opportunity to help Kizumi and learn from her, on one hand, but there was only so much paperwork and administrative work he could handle before he started to feel antsy, and the request for him specifically hadn't come a moment too soon.

He'd meet up with his friend and received a less formal debriefing of their task at hand, to which Daisuke felt happy to be a part of. He loved more combat centered objectives, and he figured he could leave looking for any research or documentation that was in the lab to Shigure. At the very least, he could simply suggest that his Byakugan made Shigure better at things like that.

"Oh, is that so? Congratulations, Shigure-sama” The young sage said with a bit of a chuckle, mocking him slightly with a small bow. "Guess I've got some catching up I need to do, eh? Can't let you get too far ahead of me, now, can I?”

Again, Daisuke would laugh while the two made their way to their destination before he piped up once more. "As it turns out, I got something of a promotion myself. More of a lateral shift, I guess you could say, but with the new Raikage, she offered me a position as her assistant. Should give me a lot of opportunities to learn the way things are done behind the scenes rather than just on the front line. Who knows, if I play my cards right, you might be looking at the next Raikage.”

Daisuke's head would swivel about looking at the collapsed entrace, his brow narrowing when he tried, and failed, to find anyway through this place.

"So, uh... How do you figure we're gonna get through here?” The young sage asked, his brow arching as he turned to Shigure. "Want me to just blast us a hole?”

UNCONVENTIONAL ENTRANCE His smile widened when his friend congratulated him for the promotion, but when he said sama, Shigure shook his head, chuckling lightly. "You don't need to call me that, but I know you are just reasing me! Hahaha. And, who knows? Maybe I will leave you in the dust? Hahaha... Just kidding, I'm sure you are ready for a promotion. You are probably just being humble." he said, trying to motivate his friend, even though he truly believed that he was good enough to promote, maybe he just needed to have a few more missions under his belt. Then, he revealed that, despite not having ranked-up, he had a promotion of sorts, becoming the assistant to the Raikage, and Shigure widened his eyes, quite impressed and proud of his friend. "There ya go! That's impressive. I'm proud of you, Daisuke! Well... If you want to be the next Raikage, I can't fall behind... I will be the next Hokage then! Let's see who gets there first, eh?" he suggested, adding a bit of a friendly competition and ambition to their lives. Once they were at the entrance of the cave, which had collapsed due to Koume's actions before, he asked if he should just bulldoze through it and Shigure shook his head. Using his Byakugan, he had found an area in the cave, further along the mountain, with a hole where they could enter. "There's a hole further ahead... Three hundred and seventy two metres that way." he said, pointing his finger. "We should be able to fit, and from there, I remember how to get to the hatch I found during my previous mission. I already scanned the former cave, and it's empty, save for the bodies of the monsters we killed. So let's get going." he said as he used the Tree Climbing Technique to walk on the steep mountain, approaching the hole he had mentioned. "So what if it seems hopeless? So a competition it was, then. Daisuke nodded, a small twinkle in his eye as he looked to his dear friend ready for the challenge. It would take them time, for certain, to achieve such grand heights, but if there was anyone who had proper aims for the Hokage position, he knew it was Shigure. Perhaps others would say the same for Daisuke in his own case.

Daisuke raised his brow when Shigure answered him, "No shit?” He questioned, a small chuckle in his tone. "You can see that far, or are you just some kinda savant?” Either way, with the accuracy Shigure would offer, there was no question in the young sage’s mind that his friend was right.

The chuunin would follow swiftly with Shigure’s lead before they would eventually get to the small hole that the Hyuuga had mentioned earlier. His eyes shifted to Shigure, a small smirk spread across his face as he gestured inside. "I’d say age before beauty, but I got you beat on both counts.”

THE HIDDEN HATCH Shigure laughed a bit when Daisuke seemed impressed with the range of his vision and he shook his head. "Well, I'm a specialist in tracking, so I've been training my Byakugan intensely. But regardless of that, my range is nothing impressive for the Hyuuga clan's standards, as I can only see for four kilometres radius. Some members of the clan can see for ten kilometres." he admitted, even though there were very few who could reach that maximum limit, such as the current clan leader, and the other person was a member of the council, who oddly enough was blind without the activation of the Byakugan. He laughed once again at his joke when they got to the hole, before descending it. "Speaking of beat, next time we train I want to face your senjutsu. I have been training really hard and I want to test it against such an incredible ability." he admitted. The reason he wanted to do it wasn't just to improve with his friend, but also because of Okada Taki. He knew the girl would be an enemy in the future, and if he could learn more about how to deal with such a powerful ability such as senjutsu, he would have a better chance at defeating her. The two would then go down the hole, and Shigure would guide them through the cavern, until they reached a larger area, where the skeletons of weird looking monsters lied scattered around. "Those were the creatures we killed last time... But they were not natural ones. They were created in a lab. The entrance is over there." he said, pointing to a large rock. "There's a hatch hidden underneath. Think you can take care of that rock?" he asked, knowing sages could tap into crazy amount of physical strength, something the Hyuuga unfortunately lacked. With a small grin Daisuke let out a small grunt to accept Shigure's challenge.

"I've still got a ways to go before I can enter Sennin Modo in its entirety, let alone master it, but I can certainly show you what I've been working on on that front. Fair warning, though, I can't promise training with me is going to end like it did last time we fought. You wanna see what a sage can do, you're asking for trouble.”

Cocky as ever, Daisuke was sure of his abilities. As he said, he had yet to fully enter the "transformatin" quite yet, but his dedicated time with both Kaede and Don'Yokuna had still been proving fruitful. He could allow natural chakra to enter his body, and use it to a limited extent. Doing so would drastically improve his physical capabilities, but as it stood, Daisuke could still only use the form for about a minute in total, and he was exhausted by the time the natural chakra would finally be used up.

As the two ventured through the caverns, Daisuke kept his head on a swivel, taking note of the corpses apparently left behind from when Shigure had been here last. His gaze drifted to the rock blocking the way to the entrance of the underground facility, and with a smirk, the sage apprentice nodded at the Hyuuga's suggestion.

"Gladly.” He said, taking a few steps forward.

The boulder itself was massive up close, easily twice the size of Daisuke himself. But, for a sage, dealing with something like this was child's play.

A deep breath entered Daisuke's lungs as his hands began to glow, claws of glowing blue chakra elongating from his fingers. Quickly, he drew his hand up and across, as the chakra seemed to make little work of the terrain, carving out chunks of stone with each slash of his hands. Within seconds, the boulder had been ground into bits, and with a deep exhale, the chakra blades faded from his fingertips.

"Like I said, I can't quite take on the full aspects of sennin modo, but I think the little tricks still have their purpose.”

DESCRIPTION:
After channeling natural chakra into their hands, the user will form small blade like claws over their fingers. The chakra hardens over the users hands and fingers, reaching three inches in length past their fingertips. The claws created this way are incredibly sharp, able to cut through rock and metal with relative ease. Though typically, this technique is used for its offensive capabilities in hand to hand combat, the chakra that covers the hands allows the user to catch most bladed weapons without suffering damage. Any chakra based weapon or considerably powerful attack will, however, pierce through the chakra.

Note: For clarification, "Most Bladed Weapons" and "Considerably Powerful Attacks" would be any non-chakra infused weapon that's strength has been amplified by an SA or similar.

DEEP UNDERGROUND Shigrue nodded at his words, for he knew he was indeed asking for a steep challenge. "I know. A fellow sage user cracked my skull during my first match on the Chuunin Exams, so I'm well aware of just how much insane power you guys have." he would never forget the fight with Okada Taki, but exactly because of that, he wanted to be ready to face her next time their paths crossed, for he knew she would try to kill him, and he was not willing to lose his life at the hands of someone who was just motivated by blind, stupid hatred. Daisuke would then concentrate so that he could gather natural energy. It was always rather impressive to witness the process with his Byakugan. His sage mode was obviously different from Taki, as it was taught by a different group of animals, but it looked a bit cooler, if you asked Shigure; he liked wolves better than gorillas. Then, with a quick slash from his blue claws, the boulder was gone and the hatch was finally exposed. "Still quite impressive, and cool looking, if you ask me!" he said, giving his friend a large smile. Approaching the hatch, Shigure would open it. It was rather dark inside, but that didn't mean anything to the Byakugan. "Seems like the entrance is clear. There are some monster loose in there, but no sign of people." he informed Daisuke. The ladder went down nearly five hundred metres, but once they were down there, the environment was completely different; unlike the rocky walls from before, the place had steel walls, necessary to hold the facility this deep underground and prevent the risk of accidents. Once they were both down there, Shigure would continue following down the path. "Further ahead we will have to fight, I see three creatures. They are bigger than the remains you saw before, and they are capable of using chakra." he warned Daisuke. "So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. After the dust settled, Shigure once more took the lead with his byakugan. A small smirk did, however, cross Daisuke's face with the small compliment from his friend. As much as he would never admit it, his ego would always feel a little more inflated from someone like Shigure offering him praise than someone he didn't know or care for. Even if it was just a cool factor.

As the two moved forward, crawling down the ladder, moving through the steeled hallways, their feet lightly clanging as they drew forward. The two ventured a good ways in almost complete blackness before Shigure raised his hand for them to hold position. ahead, he'd explain that he could see three creatures in the distance, all of which were apparently capable of using chakra.

"Not too often we get something like that.” The young sage chuckled. "At least it'll make any fight less of an outright slaughter.” Again the chunin would smirk, lightning beginning to crackle lightly over his fist and up his right arm, skipping over his body as he spoke. "I got a newer jutsu I need to work the kinks out with. Couple baddies like this might be the right ticket to help me out on that.”

The lightning over his hand and arm began to illuminate his figure lightly. His eyes almost glowed with excitment, his hunger for battle becoming more evident in his expression. Daisuke was never one to back down from a fight, regardless of the odds he'd face. With Shigure beside him, though, Daisuke nearly couldn't contain himself about the thought of a real fight. The two had sparred once in the past, and they had worked together on missions a bit already, but never once had he seen Shigure go all out. As something of a growing rival for Daisuke, he was quite eager to see what the Hyuuga could do without holding back.

Admittedly, Daisuke couldn't quite see just yet how far ahead the creatures were, so for now he'd have to follow Shigure's lead. "Just point me in the right direction and say when.” He said with a fire blazing in his chest.

A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL Daisuke seemed to be very excited at the prospect of fighting creatures that could pose some challenge, and Shigure could understand that. A lot of lower rank missions mostly involved dealing with civilian bandits, who couldn't really do much against trained Shinobi. But things were different here. The creatures he had spotted were far larger than the ones they fought in the cave a while back, and they had more chakra inside of them. Still, his friend's confidence seemed to steem from a new technique he had been developing, so he wanted to use this opportunity to fine-tune it probably. "Last time I fought the monsters, they could use water release." he warned him, as Daisuke used the lightning to illuminate his figure a bit. "They are heading to a larger hall over there... Let's give chase. We will have more space there." and with that said, he waited for Daisuke's confirmation he was ready before he darted towards the place. The larger hall was ill-illuminated, but enough for Daisuke to be able to see properly, or at least enough to allow him to fight without any handicap. Shigure had locked his gaze on the creature further away from them, and using his superior speed, he quickly closed in with the creature, his hand ready to end it with a swift palm strike to its heart when, all of a sudden, just as his strike landed, the organ changed places inside the creature's body, surprising him. "What?!" he exclaimed in surprise, almost being caught off-guard by a slash from the creature's claw, which prompted the Hyuuga to somersault back, adjusting his fighting stance. "They can move their organs!" he warned Daisuke. The fight was going to be more challenging than he had initially anticipated, it seemed. "So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honour as a Shinobi, for the price of freedom is steep." Daisuke nodded, a smirk across his face before the Hyuuga used his speed to close the gap between them and the monsterous insects. A deep breath came and left the chuunin's lungs before lightning fully encased his body, jolting him forward at blinding speeds.

Like a human cannonball, Daisuke collided with the creature Shigure had engaged with. His knee flung forward, the lightning combined with his increadible speed nearly cleaving the creature in two before it began to fizzle out. The sage's feet hit the ground, his breath heavy as he looked himself over. "Shit!!” Daisuke exclaimed when he realized what was happening.

Easily enough Daisuke had managed to kill the creature, however, now covered in the remnants of the beasts slaughter, it appeared there was yet another hazard they needed to watch out for. Its blood burned, searing the young apprentice's flesh and clothes like the scattered embers of a wildfire. Quickly, Daisuke's hands weaved a string of seals to produce a wave of water he manipulated to cleanse himself of the acidic blood.

"Careful, their blood seems to be acidic too. Buggers have all sorts of fun tricks.”

NAME: Lightning Release Chakra Mode: Stage One [Raiton Chakura Mōdo: Sutēji Ichi]

DESCRIPTION:
The user wraps their body in a cloak of Raiton though not used offensively, the cloak is used to stimulate the users nervous system. Speeding up neural synapses to react faster, as well as pushing the users body to its absolute limit, allowing for tremendous raw speed, a speed which makes even a one tomoe Sharingan user confused as to the user's whereabouts. The increase in speed comes with a great level of fatigue attached with it making this a jutsu best suited to be used when needed and not spammed throughout the entirety of a fight (though it can be used that way its highly dangerous). It is effectively an armor that surrounds the user allowing them to brush off and B-rank and below Raiton techniques and also C-rank and lower Physical attacks.

This jutsu improves on the basis of the Lighting Release Body Flicker and makes it a more longer lasting affect (2 rounds) with more more refined increases. But also much more costly price as over use in one fight could overexert the user causing the body to shut down in due to crippling pain.

Acts as an elongated Shunshin technique. The user can move at shunshin speeds with the above benefits for 2 rounds with one High usage of Chakra. This can be used four times total during a thread, each time tiring out the body of the user. After the fourth time, their muscles are completely deteriorated.

MORE THAN EXPECTED The moment Daisuke hit the creature, moving like a speeding bullet, the blood hit his body and started sizzling like it was acid. Shigure's eyes focused on the blood, using his microscopic vision, and while he was no medic, he was no stranger to blood to realize that whatever these creatures had running inside of their veins, was not like normal blood. Fortunately, Daisuke could use Water Release, and managed to rid himself of the dangerous fluid. Aware of that, Shigure would focus on the beast attacking him, dodging its swing and locking his target on their moving heart. Thanks to the Byakugan, he could see where it was moving to, and thus, with a second precise strike, the Hyuuga destroyed the organ and claimed the life of the creature, which fell on the floor in a loud thud. "Tricky indeed. Luckily I can kill them without worrying about the blood, but we need to be careful nonetheless... There are a few more that way. Six to be exact. How about each of us take on three?" he suggested, looking back at Daisuke. Regardless of the Chuunin's answer, Shigure would move to the next room, where their next opponents were already waiting, ready for battle. "So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honour as a Shinobi, for the price of freedom is steep." As Shigure and he both were able to make quick work of the threats that opposed them, the Hyuuga would issue wise words to advise caution.

"Agreed.” Daisuke said simply, his gaze drifting deeper into the facility where a greater number of creatures remained.

A smirk soon rose over the Chuunin's face when his friend recommended they split the group in half, a slightly different idea coming to mind.

"How 'bout this,” he said, rolling his sleaves up to his elbows while he moved to enter the next room. "Lowest kill count buys dinner and drinks when we get back to Kusa.” He turned to face Shigure, unable to hide his grin at the thought of competition. "Starting... Now.”

Daisuke weaved a quick flurry of hand seals after Shigure would soon open the door and enter the next room. Soon, six spheres of water orbited around him, and Daisuke would lock on to his first target, sending all orbs under his control directly at the creature. Surprised by their entrance, it was clear that the creature was caught off guard, and each and every powerful sphere of water pummeled into the beast, three of which blowing holes straight through it's thick carapace before it tumbled motionless to the floor.

"That's one.” Daisuke said, a slightly humerous tone to his voice.

The orbs quickly made their way back to the young sage while the remaining five insect-like creatures raged toward them. Daisuke would move his arms, commanding the orbs to once more jeteson towards a single creature, though this time, it wouldn't quite result in the same way. They were fast, much too fast, he though, for something of that size. The creature bolted off the floor, its tragectory aimed towards the wall, again kicking powerfully off the surface and leading straight toward him. The six orbs darted back to Daisuke as his hands flashed with yet another set of seals and the orbs transformed. Four of them combined, creating two identical blades of water in his hands as the young sage made a spinning motion as he slashed his new blades, creating deep cuts in the beast as it's body ragdolled to the ground, dead.

DESCRIPTION:
After a string of handseals, the user forms anywhere between six and ten condensed, yet powerful, suiton spheres around them. The orbs formed are twelve centimeters, around four inches, in diameter, and will float around the user until the shinobi decides to active them. These little balls can be used for several things, and either activated one at a time or all at the same time. Ultimately, they serve as a second defense for the shinobi, able to deflect or block incoming attacks, though they can additionally be used as a water source for the shinobi later on, or be charged toward an opponent as a high-speed ball.

DESCRIPTION:
An advanced technique branching from the Divine Guardian jutsu. Once its parent technique has been used, the user combines at least two of their orbs in order to form a variety of weapons. The weapons created this way must be simple in nature, such as swords, spears, staves, and the like, however, their shape can be changed at the user's will. The Hyuuga was usually far too serious whenever he was in a mission, so he never even considered something like that, but he had to admit it was a rather amusing proposal. "Well... I guess... Whatever, let's do it." he said with a shrug and a soft chuckle, and with the start of this friendly bout starting now, Shigure darted towards the monstrous creatures, and once he got within their range, the three of them readied themselves to attack the Hyuuga at the same time, but he cracked a smirk. "Unfortunately... You are in range." visualizing the expanded area of the eight trigrams, he quickly began moving at an extremely fast pace. "Ni shou! Yon shou! Hasshou!!" two, four, and then eight strikes in one of them, before quickly turning around to face the second, who was getting closer. "Juuroku shou! Sanjuuni shou!" the number of tenketsu strikes kept on doubling, but they were executed in the same spam of time, making his hands move so fast they looked like blurs. His speed was so crazy, the creatures couldn't really move their organs away in time. The third one got dangerously close, but before they could attack, Shigure was already onto them. "Rokujuuyon shou!" and with sixty-four lightning fast strikes, the creature halted its advance. But he was not quite done yet. "Hakke... Hyakunijuuhasshou!!" and now spreading the attacks between the three of them, Shigure hit them with one-hundred and twenty-eight strikes in the same spam of time he initially hit them with two, completely slaughtering all of them with so much internal damage they just collapsed. He would then glance over towards Daisuke with a mischievous smirk on his face. "That's three for me." he teased his friend. "So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honour as a Shinobi, for the price of freedom is steep." 『 BYAKUGAN 』

Like all members of his clan, Shigure also has the famous Byakugan as one of his signature traits. Naturally, Shigure’s eyes have a near 360 degrees field of vision around himself, save for a small blind spot at the back of his neck above the thoracic vertebra. His eyes are capable of seeing through most objects, giving him great perception of his environment, and making quite the challenge to surprise or ambush the Hyūga when his doujutsu is activated. Having been seriously trained to develop his sight, Shigure managed to increase the range of his Byakugan to a respectful 8 kilometres range, which makes him quite the competent tracker in missions. His eyes also allow him to see infrared, through chakra barriers, discern clones from their makers, determine colour of someone’s chakra, and determine if a genjutsu is being used or not.

He is also very capable in his ability to see chakra, including the chakra circulatory system inside a person’s body, thus allowing him to easily identify the precise location of the tenketsus, which is paramount in the use of the Gentle Fist to its maximum capacity, power, and finesse. On top of it all, Shigure’s training and experience as a people’s person allowed him to add this insight to the power of his Byakugan, thus making him quite competent at reading people’s emotions. Therefore, when using his Byakugan, Shigure can usually detect if someone is lying through the impulses of their brain, heartbeat, and general body language. Moreover, when focused on an opponent, Shigure can even anticipate their reactions based on their muscles and body functions prior to the execution of an action.


『 ENHANCED COMBAT SPEED 』

What Shigure lacks in physical strength, he definitely makes it up in the combat speed department. Having trained the Gentle Fist since his early childhood, the Hyuuga learned that raw power and superior strength were borderline useless for his style since, in the end, nobody can train their inner organs to become stronger. Therefore, the chakra reliant style of the Hyuuga fighting style was more than enough for him to achieve the desired results in battle. Thus, the truly efficient way to improve his fighting capabilities was directly associated with how fast he could act and react in a fight.

Shigure’s reflexes are absurdly sharp, and he can react almost instantly to attacks, which makes him quite skilled at counter attacking with his deadly Gentle Fist, making it difficult for opponents to actually land a blow on him. In short, he can react fast to combat situations.


『 ENHANCED CHAKRA CONTROL 』

Due to the intensity of his training and his overall style as a practitioner of the Gentle Fist, as well as his Hyūga genes, Shigure was able to develop a level of chakra control that puts him above that of his peers, bringing himself to a level similar to those a rank higher. His level of control is remarkable and allows him to optimise the usage of chakra, avoiding any unnecessary waste while using his techniques. This ability gives him an edge on the battlefield, as he is able to use more techniques, more frequently, while also avoiding the draining effects of running out of chakra due to waste.


『 GENTLE FIST SAVANT 』

Shigure is a natural savant at his clan’s legendary Taijutsu style despite being a sort of a late bloomer. He has developed an incredible proficiency with the techniques of his clan, that allows him to stand out above even his fellow kinsmen. With his current level of understanding and application of his techniques, the heir to the clan brings incredible precision and swiftness to his attacks, rarely ever missing his mark once an attack is launched.

Guided by his potent doujutsu, he became an expert at shutting down his opponents chakra network, as well as combining the techniques of the clan together to deliver even more powerful attacks. He can, while using the Gentle Fist and it's techniques, also land more blows per second than most of his peers, moving so swiftly that it’s even hard to keep up. This makes him an incredibly dangerous opponent to fight at close quarters, as he is capable of giving even higher ranking Shinobi a real challenge.


『 MOVEMENT SPEED 』

Shigure's speed is no longer solely restricted to his reaction speed in a fight; he can also move extremely fast. The Hyuuga can run at an incredible speed, capable of matching higher ranking shinobi. Keeping up with his pace is an strenuous task for those who are not skilled in close quarter combat, and to the untrained eye his movements will appear like a blur. If his opponents do not have superior reaction speed, they may struggle to evade him from closing in during battle, or from catching up to them in a chase. As consequence, he is also quite capable at retreating from combat, as few can match his full speed.


『 SUPERIOR AGILITY 』

The Hyuuga has improved his melee dexterity dramatically thanks to his intense training, dedication and hard work. His body learned to move with grace, no matter to which direction (forward, backwards, sideways), without straining his muscles, which are now capable of handling his body weight and swiftness in battle. Due to this, he can move around with near-perfect movement precision, making so that no wasteful movement is used, and his body moves at full efficacy. This allows him to move without any momentum, giving him an advantage in combat.

This ability, which helps him to maneuver without being hampered by his own body, makes opponents of similar level have a terrible time landing a blow on him.

This eliminates their ability to use chakra for quite some time and makes it difficult for them to move. Alternatively, it can be used to hit a great number of targets very quickly.

It seemed Shigure was making quick work of his own opponents. It was honestly quite amazing to see the speed of which he was able to move. Daisuke never considered himself slow, especially with his growing abilities in sage mode and access to the Lightning Release Armor technique, but this... Well, Shigure was something entirely differnt. He needed no special techniques, no steroid, be it natural or otherwise. No, the Hyuuga was doing all of this with his own diligent training. It was something the Hyuuga clan was fabled for, and Shigure was living proof of that. He was sure that, if time allowed, he might very well become one of the fastest shinobi alive.

Despite his admiration for his friends abilities, Daisuke still had to attend matters on his own end, one last behemoth remaining standing. A large, centipede like beast, with powerful snapping jaws, a countless number of talon like legs, and two whip like tails that cracked on its back end. Terrifying as the beast might be, Daisuke would simply smirk, his hand commanding the swords and remaining two spheres of water to shift into three javalins. With the flick of his wrist, they would fly towards the bug quickly gaining ground on the sage. It would evade two, but the third one managed to pierce its hide, cleaving clear through the beast. It slowed the creature down, obviously hurt, giving him more than enough time to pull his water constructs into another attack. Coming from behind the creature, he pulled the spears towards him, each one creating another hole through the creatures body. And with a simple side step, the monsterous insect slid across the ground, it's legs twitching as the nerves in its now dead body spasmed at his feet.

"Four for me, Four for you.” Daisuke said with a small chuckle, his gaze turning to meet his friend.

"A part of me had hoped for a better challenge. Oh well. I suppose beggers can't be choosers.” Daisuke placed a hand on his hip as the watery constructs lost their shape, splashing over the ground. "How much deeper, then? Can you see any more in this place?”

A CHALLENGE Despite the haste in which Shigure disposed of his foes using the eight trigrams technique, another monstrous creature appeared and went to attack Daisuke, thus giving the Cloud Shinobi the edge on their friendly competition. Scanning around the immediate area, there were no further enemies in the vicinity, so they would have a little break from the fighting. "Guess you will be in the lead... For now!" he said, making sure Daisuke was aware that the challenge was not yet over. The Sage apprentice wanted a better challenge and as he spoke about it, Shigure continued to scan the path ahead. "About three hundred metres down this way." he pointed to a narrow entrance, where part of the ceiling had collapsed, but they could still squeeze through. "There are some blue prints and notebooks we should retrieve. I will seal them in my scrolls. But... Hehe... I guess your wish has been granted." he said, a hint nervousness in his tone, for what he saw was on a whole different level. "There's something roaming in that room... I... I can't even describe it. It is an abomination... And its chakra... It is flowing so intensely, it is almost as if the first gate was just constantly opened." he warned Daisuke. To display such power... It would be a challenge even for shinobi of their caliber. Still, Shigure wasn't intimidated, even if the sight of the creature did make him cautious.
