INFORMATION ACQUIRED The interrogation was tough, for the man had a lot of attitude and pride, and it took Shigure using some Hell Viewing Technique genjutsu, as well as some pressure point strikes to cause him pain and force him to collaborate. Ultimately, he valued more his life than his secrets and spilled the beans on where the meeting was supposed to occur and how many other captains were supposed to take part on it, as well as the password they needed in order to attend. Kurogami was beat at the end of it, but it had also been tough on the interrogator. He was improving on that aspect, that's for sure, but he stil had ways to go, and being aware of that was an important step into his growth as a more complete shinobi. At the end of the interrogation, Shigure killed the captain and disposed of his body in the ocean, so it would sink into oblivion. With the information at hand, he sneaked back into the ship, briefly using the Transformation Technique to change his voice and give Azarea the tone the man used, as well as share all the intel gathered during the interrogation. With that part of the mission taken care of, now they needed to get Shigure to impersonate his bodyguard, a bald and bulky man named Teba. According to the man, Teba would always check on the captain first thing in the morning. "When he comes, distract him long enough so I can attack him, and we can dispose of the body in the ocean." he said, before finding a place in the room where he could hide: inside of the closet beside the captain's bed. Azarea listened carefully as Shigure relayed the information she would need to mimic the Pirate Captain perfectly. The ex-Aburame trying out the tone and pitch of voice until she'd gotten it on point. The fact the man was prideful was to her advantage as it meant she could get away with minimal interaction with the crew for the duration of the negotiations. Shigure would have a more difficult time as the First Mate given the man would be the Captains go to interaction with his men, but that was a bridge they'd cross after they got ahold of their target.

"I've got an idea. Be ready to take Teba out." Azarea or 'Kurogami' murmured positioning that empty bottle half beneath the table to where the man would have to put his back to the closet to retrieve it giving Shigure a perfect opportunity to strike. The pair spending an uneasy rest of the night with Azarea pretending to sleep rousing as grumbling and in an ill mood as the man called out for Teba to enter. The Captain taking a moment to sniff himself and grouch as he moved to the clothes chest at the end of the bed.

"Grab that empty bottle for me Teba so it doesn't roll." The Captain ordered as the first mate glanced towards the empty alcohol bottle in question giving Shigure his back as he moved to retrieve it.

ASSASSINATION AND IDENTITY THEFT Hiding inside the closet, keeping his Byakugan activated to be able to see through the closed door, he waited for Azarea to lay out the trap for the first mate of the crew, and Captain's body guard. In the early hours of the morning, Teba opened the door and looked at the captain with a slightly concerned expression. "Are you okay, sir?" he asked with a rather cautious tone. The captain's response was for him to grab the bottle, and the man nodded, sighing as he walked towards it, kneeling to reach out for the bottle. With the door closed behind him, Shigure would slowly open the door and carefully approach, ninja wire in hand. "Captain, we should try and keep a clear head for the negotiations. This power void could mean a lot of money and influence for our crew in these waters." his tone was respectful, but also firm, showing that the man had a decent brain inside his skull. Unfortunately, those would be his very last words, for the Hyuuga was ready for the assassination. Wrapping the thin line around Teba's neck, he held it tightly. Teba couldn't even react as the lack of air quickly made him fall unconscious, and after a few more seconds, his heart had finally stopped beating. Carefully putting the man on the ground, Shigure tied up a his weapons, so that they would offer enough weight for his body to sink, and as he approached the window, he would wait for Azarea to open it so they could dispose of his body. No blood, a clear kill. Once the body was throw out of the window, he would then use the Transformation Technique and assume Teba's form. "How do I look? The voice sounds right as well." he would say with a rather confident tone. "So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. Carefully Azarea would reopen the window as the two disposed of the body before the 'Captain' would turn and give his First Mate a once over. The man waggling his brows playfully at the other hardened sailor in a gesture that was pure Azarea. "Well Mate. You certainly seem to have had a better morning then myself." He quipped before gesturing him over to the table as he dug around until finding a map. Laying the piece of paper out the pirate grinned.

"Say... instead of trying to ally with those other Captains... what say we take this opportunity to be rid of the lot of them and claim the waters of this area all for ourselves?" He suggests reaching into his coat as he slowly pulls out a stack of explosive tags with a knowing look before tucking them away.

"Why don't we see how much spare gunpowder we have. Our boys are clever. If they could get a small primer keg lit and into the powder room of the other two ships while us Captains are busy... all the trading routes would be ours for the taking." The man added with a snaggle toothed and confident grin. "I think our crew might rather enjoy the pay raise."

NIGHT OF THE GATHERING Shigure was trying to get used to Teba's harsh expression and body language and having some time to role play with Azarea was extremely useful to that. "Aye, Captain. We could monopolize the territory for ourselves, maximizing our profits. You could be the King of these seas." he said with a hardened, yet respectful tone. Azarea suggested them getting a Power Keg and Shigure nodded. "I shall see to that." and with a short bow, he left the Cabin and went on the assess the situation. The two of them managed to mingle in well with the group, and with the intel he got from Kurogami, his treacherous nature and ambition played right into this plan of theirs, and the crew looked excited about the prospect of getting richer. Shigure would later show up at the cabin with a large Keg of explosives. "This should be more than enough to seize the lives of all of them in the meeting. I will seal this in my medium scroll, and unseal it in the distance. he explained, as he placed an explosive tag on the keg before placing the scroll underground and using the Generic Sealing Technique to prepare their trap. The next days would be rather peaceful, the crew was looking forward for a bright future, and the two continued to perfect their interaction as captain and first mate, and studying the island in which they would be meeting with the other four captains. Finally, the evening of the meeting arrived, and they were now on a boat heading there. Kurogami, Teba, and two other pirates, as each captain was allowed to bring. "This shall be a night of celebration, Captain." he said using the taciturn tone of the man who used to be their first mate. "So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. "I'll be certain to forget it during the meeting." 'Kurogami' quipped grinning evilly as he tucked the scroll into the sleeve of his coat for deployment later. Hopefully he could keep negotiations going long enough to exhaust the other Captains and then replace himself during the meeting with a nearby object outside the blast radius. Potentially even 'faking' his own death in the process.

Over the next few hours as the crew made their way to the meeting location the 'Captain' was careful to instruct the crew. With teams set to begin trying to infiltrate the other ships from the water with the intent of blowing up the other vessels powder kegs the moment they heard the explosion from the meeting. Then they would take the sea for themselves.

Meanwhile Azarea and Shigure would make their escape in the chaos back to their own boat that had been following them at a distance. "When it's time I'll signal you as we did on our last voyage." The 'Captain' assures his First Mate with a stern nod hoping Shigure would catch on that she meant the code her bugs had used when they took out the pirate cove. Then steeling themselves Kurogami stepped off on the docks stern faced and menacing as he made his way to the meeting room.

"Kōjin," He gives the password to the men at the door only briefly glancing down at one of the large buoys in the water as he tucks his hands behind his back as he waits... quietly forming the seals within his sleeves and without a single look back steps into where the other Captains await to negotiate.

SHADOW CLONE AND EXPLOSIVE TAGS Everything was going according to plan, thanks to their approach to the mission. As they arrived at the island, he saw the other four ships moored around the place, with their crews and all that. Shigure would follow Azarea until she entered the hut with the other captains to negotiate, carrying the scroll with her. Shigure knew a technique to unseal scrolls from the distance, so as long as the object had been properly place in there, they would be fine. On his time outside, he would turn to the other first mates waiting outside. "So, did any of you set up an outhouse here?" he asked, and they pointed to a makeshift box near some trees. With a nod, he would go there, cover the curtain and waive a hand seal. "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu." he exclaimed, creating a shadow clone who would quickly sneak out and use Water Walking to head towards the other ships. Shigure would then return, with a relieved expression on his face, and just stand guard there, waiting for the negotiations. Meanwhile, the clone would take its time sneaking around and placing a couple explosive tags on each of the four ships belonging to the other captains. The moment that first explosion took place, all other ships would follow suit, and since they were in this island in the middle of nowhere, whoever survived would be stuck there, and be arrested later by the navy. Kurogami roared as meanwhile Azarea put every ounce of her experience in shinobi customer service and being an absolute bureaucratic pain in the ass to use. The 'Captain' sneering as he gestures to his fellow Pirate who he feels has likewise been shorted.

"Don't think I haven't noticed two of the richest trade routes go through your cut! How do you expect us to pay our crews in all we're given is an salt water desert!" The man exclaims standing up suddely in outrage his knee 'accidentally' catching the table as the piece of wood tumbles over and Azarea lets the scroll fall from her sleeve with it shielded by the wood from easy sight.

"It's an Outrage! You're treating us like blood land lubbers! How do I know you're not trying to double cross us!!!" The Captain's bellowing voice could be heard even outside the hut as he cast doubt on his fellow right as the beetle landed on 'Teba's' nose and fanned it's wings twice. As Azarea snapped the cord of chakra connecting her to the buoy dropping her henge as she found herself in the water and dove. Hoping the liquid would insolate her from the debris and earthshattering blast that no doubt erupted behind her.

A mutated variant of the Aburame clans Yūdai no Omorejō ["Bewildering Grandeur of the Alpha"] resulting from the subsequent poisoning of Azarea's former Yūdai no Omorejō hive to prevent potential hijutsu theft. While the Joō no Taikanshiki no Regaria lacks the Yūdai no Omorejō size instead Azarea's hive has maintained the ability to produce alpha pheromones and commanding vibrations. Evolving instead to hyperspecialize in these two aspects allowing them to produce pheramones and vibrations strong enough to be detected by human hearing and sense of smell.

IT IS A BLAST Once all the explosives were set and the shadow clone had been dispersed, all Shigure had to do was wait for Azarea to finish her theatre so that they could blow them to smithereens. He didn't envy her role as the captain on this mission, but she had been the right choice for the task. When one of her bugs landed on Shigure's nose, he knew it was time for them to head out and he moved, yawned and started walking towards the boat. The other first mates though that was a weird, and spoke to him. "Where are you going? The meeting is not over yet, idiot!" one of them said, but Shigure didn't look back. With the Byakugan, he confirmed that Azarea was ready and he waived the single hand seal needed to detonate all the explosive tags. The massive explosion in the hut was enough to claim the lives of all that were there, including the first mates who were just outside of it, and the tags on the ships caused enough damage so that they all started to sink. Catching all of them by surprise. They had been less careful than normal, and they had not anticipated the presence of shinobi, which ensued their doom. Now, they were about to head back to Kurogami's ship, the last one they needed to take care of to call this mission completed. "So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. A Job Well Done

The blast hit her like a wave beneath the water leaving her ears ringing, but her body thankfully safe from the shrapnel that rained down into the water around her as Azarea fished for her rebreather shoving it into her mouth as she took a deep breath of air and began to swim. The beetle on Shigure's nose turning and flying in the direction of the ship to indicate it's host was on her way there... and probably planning to leave an explosive gift as she passed by. Azarea pulling her explosive tags from her pouch as the crew aboard the pirate vessel celebrated their victory unaware of the red head beneath the water lining the underside of their boat with tags. A little wiser of the explosions force beneath the water Azarea climbed her way back atop the waves with Water walking looking to rendezvous with Shigure as she beat a quick retreat towards their own smaller fishing vessel.

The ex-Aburame forming a hand seal as she grinned savoring the deep bass like thumph of the tags going off and the splintering of wood as the last boat buckled and nearly cracked in two as it sunk into the waves. "Looks like the Navy is gonna have a good payday with this." She called out to Shigure veering to run alongside him as she nudged the man playfully with her shoulder. "Think we'll get kudos for being so clever with all this?" The woman wondered aloud allowing herself a few skips and a hop as she danced over the waves clearly in an excellent mood with the destruction they'd wrought.

The tides may change soon." he warned Azarea, chuckling when she said that the Navy was going to have a good pay day. "They will, and these waters will be safe from pirates for a while... We just took down all the major crews who disrupted the peace here." he said, pausing to hear her bragging before responding again, with a smirk in his feature. "You did a wonderful job. Your village should be proud, and I will certainly write that in my report. I would even go as far as to say your father would be proud. As much of a difficult person he is, my mother told me he has been trying to make amendments with his offspring..." he started, smirk fading away as they delved into that topic once again. "You... You have two other siblings that I'm aware of. One of them is a member of the Uchiha clan, her name is Tokaku, and the other one is a young, yet promising kunoichi named Shinde. I'm on friendly terms with both of them." he explained, giving Azarea some context. "Shinde didn't know he was her father until last year, and only recently was she formally adopted into the clan." he added. "So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. It was strange to see Azarea so playful. Her usually scathing and sarcastic jaded façade falling away for a moment in the face of a job well done as she bounced from wave to wave on their run. Even vaulting one to flip over the Hyuuga in a rare show of gymnastics as she pokes Shigure on the nose. Her grin bright and cheshire like fangs gleaming in the rising moonlight. "Loosen up a little Shigure. We're gonna outrun the tides easy and glory and justice aside the payday from this will be enough to cover my apartment for a good six months." She jokes proud of her work, but realistically looking far more forward to not scraping by on D-rank payments and having to worry about when and if she could ever afford to replace her gear. With the fat paycheck from these missions she could outfit her kit with more explosives and finally replace her worn leather jacket with something sturdier.

At the mention of Toshizou though her smile dropped away her playfulness dying off and her cheer turning dower as she once more fell back in line beside the Hyuuga as they approached their distant ride. "Oh. So it was just me he didn't want." Azarea murmured voice flat, face expressionless. "I thought perhaps he never came looking because he'd never wanted a family in the first place and he just had the misfortune to stumble across me and felt the need to take the most basics of legal responsibilities in case I became a threat to whoever he decided to declare heir." She admits too jaded and familiar with Konoha clan politics to believe in the likes of good will. At least if she was on the Hatake books if she became anything other then a nobody in Kumo he could claim the glory for it for the Hatake. It was a clever and practical move adding her to the ledger. One she would have appreciated if she hadn't been on the wrong end of it.

"I guess if he has other offspring that explains the disinterest in me. I've had shit luck with siblings anyway. Last one nearly got me killed." She jokes voice light and full of false humor uncertain why such thoughts bring her pain. She doesn't care that he doesn't care. It doesn't matter. The man is nothing to her and she is nothing to him. Such was for the best.

TOKAKU AND SHINDE Shigure was sometimes reminded of his privilege when he heard of other's struggle for money. Being the heir to one of the noble clans of the Hidden Leaf, he was never hurting for money, and the pay from his missions were mostly unused by him, and sent to the clan fund, thus increasing the wealth of the Hyuuga clan as a whole. And he was a man of simple needs, he didnt need anything other than fancy ingredients for his food, and to replace the shinobi gear he used during his missions. "I see... I guess I'm fortunate I don't have to pay mortgage..." he commented in passing, before they switched the subject to talk about Azarea's father. He sighed when she say she was unwanted. "I'm not sure that's the case... Perhaps he wasn't sure. From what my mother tells me, he spread out his seed during his younger years and never cared much about it until he realized he was going to lose everyone without being present. I believe that was shortly after he retired from the ANBU and noticed his father had died. The first one he reached out to was Tokaku, but she had also been aware he was her father, unlike you and Shinde..." he explained, feeling a bit weird to see himself in a position in which he was sort of defending Toshizou; who would've thought, eh? "I can speak more about the girls. They are decent. Tokaku can be more difficult, she has the Uchiha pride, but Shinde is a sweet girl. She tries her best and I believe she is currently the closest one with Toshizou-san. She has been named his heir, but mom told me he did so because she is clanless, unlike Tokaku, who has her Uchiha heritage, and I would assume you as well... Like it or not, the Aburame clan has more prestige than the Hatake clan." he added, but not wanting to be too pushy on the subject, he was just concerned for her. A bitterness coiled within Azarea's chest at Shigure's words. Her smile turning sharp and fragile like shattered glass. How somedays when it snowed she'd gaze out at the endless blanket of white with sad longing eyes as if she expected someone to arrive at the gate of their home who never did. Back then Azarea had thought she was waiting for Hiroshi to notice her. To finally recognize her as his wife and love her as he had his first companion, but he never would. Now she knew better. Now the way her Mother's hand softly touched her face, and carefully if sorrowfully filed down her teeth, and made sure to keep her hair trimmed as a child all made sense. She'd loved the bastard of a man and the only piece of him he'd left her and she'd died for it.

"I've already lost everything because of his absence. Why should I care for the fears of a man who has everything I don't, but turns a blind eye to my suffering?" Azarea inquires words clipped and cold. Though as the pair clamber up onto the boat and settle down in their seats the woman softens a little cutting her gaze to Shigure as he tries to tell her about her 'family.'

"Thank you for telling me this Shigure, but... I'm never going to see any of them. I don't exist in their world. If I reclaim the Aburame it will be through my own power and if any of them arrive at my door I'll be certain to welcome them with the same treatment I have been offered." She states voice firm as anger gives way to hardened resolve.

"I don't want to know about those kids. I don't want to know how my life might have turned out if that bastard cared. Don't torture me with what might have been Shigure..." She murmurs low under her breath letting her head come to rest on the Hyuuga's shoulder her shoulders sagging with sorrow.

As a friend, he could only try and understand her and be there for her. He had his own family issues, one he was soon going to try and resolve, but that was his way of doing things, he had reached that answer and path on his own and so should Azarea. "I understand... You have to choose what to do on your own, and you need to choose what will ultimately be best for you... He failed you, I know. If you can forgive him, that's for you to decide... Both if you can, and if you would want to." he said, lowering his gaze as they were taken back to the shore, it wouldn't be much longer until they arrived back at the town. The woman thanked him, however, for telling him, but also told him she wouldn't be seeking to interact with them and he nodded in understanding. She didn't want to be close to the other girls, it was painful to her, and even though the girls themselves were at no fault, he couldn't blame Azarea for the way she feels. "I'm sorry... I... I want you to know I will always be here for you, though. Even if I can't bring comfort to you with words..." he said as he let her head rest on his shoulder, embracing her for the moment. "It is going to be okay... Life can be tough at times, for some of us more often than it should... But we will see brighter days. I promise." he said before remaining quiet for the rest of the trip, only responding to the girl in order to support her. Once they were back on land, Shigure and Azarea would return to the inn, where he would write the mission report and a letter to the Hidden Cloud Village, once again praising her abilities and accomplishments during their mission. "So what if it seems hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn't give up. Embrace your dreams. And, whatever happens, protect your honour as a Shinobi, for the price of freedom is steep."
