"Festival preperations?” Daisuke said, reading over the document placed before him. A deep sigh escaped him as he read over the finer details of the assignment, less than excited. Regardless of the woman being present or not, it seemed he could always hear Kizumi's responses to his "enthusiasm" in the back of his head now. "Guess I better get moving.” The sage grumbled.
The travel to Moyama was a well needed moment of silence for Daisuke. He knew the path well, having been to the port town a handful of times now, and it allowed him some time to reflect on his more recent events. His sage training was on something of a pause for a little over two weeks now, and his faithful companion Kota was still recovering from the injuries of his own stupid mistakes. Daisuke had felt like a dog with his tail between his legs ever since the wolf stepped between him and Don'yokuna, and it had left a sour taste in his mouth and pit in his stomach ever since. But, to the alpha wolf's liking, that would certainly be the last time the apprentice would ever be so bold and so foolish as to issue a challenge.
When he arrived at Moyama, Daisuke's first action would be to head to the docks and wait for the other two cloud shinobi who had been assigned to the mission. Daisuke had of course worked with Chuya before some months ago, but the other fellow, Jokyu Natsuo, he had only read about. The genin was a magnet release user, evidently, but more importantly, he was Kizumi's nephew. The thought brought a smirk to his face, thinking about what she would say if she found out her assistant treated him poorly, but there was a similar feeling that giving the kid any special treatment wouldn't do him any good either. Only time would tell, it would seem. Much of how Daisuke interacted lately was far more reserved than his typical fiery self, so at least the kid wouldn't get chewed out for simply existing in the same space.
As he waited, the shinobi would take a small pocket book from his sachel, beginning to read once more over his notes on senjutsu.
THEN YOU'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO WALK
