Watchful Eyes

Azarea was being stalked. While it wasn't her first time being followed it was one of the few times she'd sensed a surprising lack of ill-intent. Curiosity and a mess of confusion and other tangled emotions colored her shadow's chakra, but hostility was thankfully not amidst the mix as the red haired Kumo nin strolled lazily towards one of her favorite training grounds. Training ground 25 wasn't one of the largest, but it was small cliffside clearing half way up one of the smaller mountains with a copse of trees with a little meadow and a small stream running through it. A place more fit for scenic picnics then training most days, but it was quiet, rarely reserved, and perfect for practicing genjutsu.

As hiking up to the grounds in question Azarea wound her way through the trees knowing her companion would undoubtedly try and hide amongst them. Before she pauses in the middle of the small meadow waiting for Takame to creep stealthily forward to inspect what she was up to before the woman turned. Eyes fixating on the Kyuumu's hiding spot she formed a seal triggering the Nise no Sōkō [False Traveling] as she appeared to dissolve in a swirl of red petals. before flicking through the seal for the Shunshin no Jutsu as she appears right behind Takame on his perch leaning forward to whisper in his ear "Looking for someone?" As she drops the genjutsu.

This ability allows the user to find, sense, and track individuals through their chakra over vast range that exceeds ten kilometers. This is done by focusing and opening the mind's eye, though due to the low chakra cost many users keep it active often. The ability also extends to telling when a person is lying from the fluctuations in a person's chakra made from dishonest emotions or detecting if someone, including the user, is under a genjutsu. Also by focusing on a particular chakra, the user can perceive its location and movement with great detail.

This, in turn, could allow for the user to escape or to launch a surprise attack.

DESCRIPTION:
By invigorating one's entire body with chakra, a shinobi can seemingly disappear and reappear in another location faster than most people can see. Often times one's movements are disguised with the use of an extra element, be it a smoke bomb, leaves, water, sand, etc. in order to hide the user's trajectory from those with skilled eyes. Though it mimics teleportation, it is important to remember this jutsu merely boosts the agility of its user. As useful as this technique is, it can only be used 4 times in a battle thread, compounding in exertion and difficulty each time. with any more usages beyond that result in muscle tears in the legs from overexertion. The hand seal for this technique must be held until the shinobi reaches their destination, making it impossible to utilize other techniques regardless of any preparation.

Why was he doing this one may ask? Simple there had been a plague upon him. Not a literal one like that ravaged the village before, but more along the lines of one that plagued his mind. She had been in his thoughts since her visit to the compound delivering birds for treatment and he found the visit both frightening and intriguing. After getting over the full ordeal of it he had time to contemplate and brood over the scenario. To him, he found her power quite inciting. Plus the bonus of the bird's fascination with her also brought him to focus on her even more. Yet how does that explain his situation now? Stalking wasn't something very uncouth of a clan heir so why was he doing this? Takame had no real explanation himself, but he found himself stalking the woman relentlessly. This wasn't stalking to harm or anything, but rather just watching to try and understand them. Besides he could always take this as training for being a CROW member one day and stalking prey for information. So it was a win-win situation for him. He learned how to be a better shinobi while also checking to see if the clan's secrets were safe by watching her. Could no one fault him for that right? He found himself following the crimson-haired woman to one of the training grounds. To be precise it was training grounds twenty-five which was a bit more meadow-like in nature. So that meant he could hide in the trees while watching her. It would certainly be a lot easier to hide than simpling walls or corners that's for sure. So he found himself in the trees watching and waiting to see what she was doing. Unfortunately, he was spotted rather quickly as she locked eyes with him before doing some hand seals and disappearing. "What the" Takame would comment before suddenly getting his answer as she would quickly reappear behind him. "Ahhh!" Takame would scream losing balance in the tree and falling to the ground below landing on his head. He didn't lose consciousness luckily, but he did get a sense of stars in his mind. Slightly dizzy he would quickly sit up and begin rubbing the back of his head and saying, "**** that hurt." Azarea lunges forward not quite expecting the Kyuumu to all, but launch himself out of the tree in shock. Her hand reaching out, fingers slipping over the fabric, but she fails to get a grip in time as Takame tumbles out of the tree like a baby bird from the next. The woman grimacing apologetically showing off the sharp points of her fangs as she hops down from her perch to join him on the ground. "Sorry I didn't think I'd startle you that badly." Azarea murmured rueful and apologetic as she offers him a gloved hand to help haul him up to his feet.

"You're not hurt are you?" She questions leaning forward to peer into his eyes checking to see if they were reacting to the light the way they should face inches from his own afraid she might have given the two toned haired Kyuumu a concussion with her little jape. The Kyuumu clan's eyes were always the prettiest of colors, blue as children like their crows before darkening to a rich gold and amber as they grew into adults. She'd rather envied their appearance when she'd first come to Kumo the scars from that attempted eye gouging at the hands of her former 'Father' still fresh and tender. Brushing such thoughts from her mind she forces herself to focus on the present.

"What were you doing following me anyway?" Azarea asks arching one crimson brow, "Did you change your mind of being friends or perhaps training partners?" She inquires with a sly playful smirk.

Well great now he looked like such a buffoon for falling. How stupid could he get? Not only was he discovered, but she was pitying him now! Sure he deserved it, especially for stalking her so blatantly and not doing a good job of concealing himself, but still, at least he could have landed on his feet! "I'm fine," he would say grumpily as he took her hand to get back up reluctantly. He would have preferred to have gotten up on his own, but a fall to the head could be dangerous and might have messed up his equilibrium so it was better to be safe than sorry right now. Azarea then would get close to him yet again and stare him down. Was this like some sort of thing she did to people? It was a bit unnerving for the young Kyuumu boy to say the least, but he tried to keep his cool. Doing his best not to blush as much as he did before and show some semblance of collectiveness to the woman. He didn't want to be known as this stupid little brat who was clumsy and ridiculous especially since the birds seemed to favor this woman more than him. Sp making sure he looked good in her eye was probably a good way to regain their favor again right? She would then give him a way out of his predicament. He couldn't tell her the truth about why he was stalking her as it could lead to his execution along with her own, but by lying he could get away with some of his behavior. Blinking a few times to try and gain composure he would respond with, "Yes training partners." He said this almost in a broken robotic tone as he was doing his best not to give his full intentions away and go with the flow of things. Taking another breath he would step back to give himself some space from her before adding, "I was hoping to figure out ways to improve myself and figured you had more experience with your training with Ri-" Takame would stop himself from finishing that name before changing it to, "Your sensei." He didn't want to say their name because he knew if the name did leave his mouth comfortably he could accidentally say it to one of his family members and that might domino effect into something worse for him. She'd give a short satisfied nod as his eyes seemed to react normally to the dappled light of the forest and the Kyuumu didn't seem stunned or slurred in his speech. Just a little stilted and shy, "Good. It doesn't look like you have a concussion." She murmurs more to herself then him revealing the reason behind her staring as she lets him step back offering a shrug of her shoulder's and a smile at his acceptance. His chakra reeked of deception and embarrassment but, genuine longing and interest was enough to assure Azarea she'd made the right decision in offering her figurative hand in friendship along with her literal one to help him to his feet.

"What are your specialties then Takame-san? You must be interested in genjutsu if you're hoping to pick some of my Sensei's tips off of me." She inquires with a quirk of a smile as she shoves her hands into her jacket pockets and gestures for him to follow her back out into the sun of the clearing. Winter is beginning to settle over Kumo and here in the shade she can see her breath in the air. The colored fall leaves crunching under their boots as she leads him out into the sun once more and settles down atop a rock.

"I'm primarily a genjutsu specialist with a secondary specialty in ninjutsu and a sensor." Azarea explains feeling it is only fair to share her own skills if he is willing to tell her his. This a way they can both figure out how best to help one another. "Currently I'm working on developing the same genjutsu ability as my Sensei which is the skill of layering multiple genjutsu."

Joō no Taikanshiki no Regaria [Queen's Coronation Regalia]
A mutated variant of the Aburame clans Yūdai no Omorejō ["Bewildering Grandeur of the Alpha"] resulting from the subsequent poisoning of Azarea's former Yūdai no Omorejō hive to prevent potential hijutsu theft. While the Joō no Taikanshiki no Regaria lacks the Yūdai no Omorejō size instead Azarea's hive has maintained the ability to produce alpha pheromones and commanding vibrations. Evolving instead to hyperspecialize in these two aspects allowing them to produce pheramones and vibrations strong enough to be detected by human hearing and sense of smell.

Reigning Chakra Control
Fine tuning her chakra control to a razor's edge Azarea is capable of performing delicate techniques with minimal to no wastage of chakra. Allowing her to conserve her reserves in prolonged combat and managed more finickity techniques and jutsu.

Kagura Mind's Eye
Born with a natural affinity towards sensing chakra like her Father before her Azarea has trained herself to become a capable sensory shinobi. Unlocking the Kagura's Mind's Eye, and with it, the ability to passively sense chakra signatures in the distance (when using the technique), thus allowing her to not only track, but also memorize a person's chakra signature, even if barely any chakra is being used. Due to her proficiency with this technique, Azarea can currently passively sense chakra up to 500 meters and actively at 2.5 kilometers.

His lie seemed to work which was a good thing for Takame it meant to some degree he was out of trouble. Be it fully or not remained to be certain, but at least it seemed like she didn't hate him for his outlandish behavior which was honestly a start for Takame. Even if she couldn't trust him at the very least she was entertaining the idea of his lie which could be a good foot into the metaphorical door of learning how much she knows of the clan from her and how she got so close to the birds. She would then soon ask about his specialties, along with her own, as a shinobi and then comment about her sensei's tips which raised a red flag for Takame. What did he tell her? What did he teach her? He needed to know badly, but he couldn't just straight up and ask her that would risk both of their lives. So he would do his best to keep it cool despite having a slight panic to himself on the inside by responding, "Funny enough Genjutsu and Ninjutsu for me also." She would then comment about what she was training and honestly his eyebrow raised in intrigue. "Multiple layers?" he would question very interested in this idea. He hadn't thought about using multiple genjutsu at the same time to keep people in their states. That could be quite useful for him. "How does one train that?" She was pleased to realize that her guess in regards to his specialties wasn't wrong. Honestly watching Takame makes her wonder if Riku was like this around their age as she chuckles. "Come here. I'll explain. It'll be easier to practice with the two of us." Azarea gestured for him to join her before leaning foreword to pluck a few blades of grass.

"So Riku-Sensei mostly just demonstrated it for me a time or two. I didn't have the chakra to spare back then to experiment with it like I do now. However what they call 'layering' genjutsu is actually a misnomer." She explain with a smile as she twines the long pieces of grass together forming a little bracelet as she reaches out and drops it into Takame's hands. "What you are really doing is weaving the genjutsu together. It takes a lot of concentration and chakra control however. So far I've only managed to sustain two reliably and repeatedly, but I have briefly kept three genjutsu going at once." Azarea adds before lifting her hand into a seal.

"Here, watch." She signals as she pools her chakra carefully knitting together both the Chikyū o Shifuto [Shifting Earth] and Nise no Sōkō [False Traveling] as the moment Takame lays eyes on the handseal the genjutsu would snag onto his senses effecting his balance as the world felt as though it was bucking and shaking while Azarea disappeared this time into smoke. The woman holding the techniques for a moment before releasing them and reappearing having never moved from her rock at all as she flashes Takame a grin.

[Kyuumu Takame]

Almost like a dog distracted by a bone Takame was hooked onto Azera's words. Sure he had been here on a mission to figure out what she knew about the clan as a duty to his lineage and on a double mission to find out why the birds liked her so much, but both of those mission thoughts were erased by the idea of gaining more power. To be able to do things and put people in multiple layers of genjutsu so he could do whatever he wanted just sounded like a delightful time. Who wouldn't pass on these types of training opportunities? Takame sure wouldn't that's for sure. She would begin her demonstration by interweaving two blades of grass and even mentioning what she lacked when she was learning under Riku. While the name did sour him Takame was able to push that aside as he thought of the end goal of completing the task of weaving two genjutsu together. Though he wondered for a second if Azarea would even be a proper teacher for him to learn this technique from since she said she was still learning. Shouldn't he try and get instruction from someone more competent than her to teach him? Well, it wasn't like that much mattered right now anyways as she was someone here to help him learn so even if it wasn't complete or proper training it would be a good stepping stone to his growth. These thoughts would be quickly squashed as she demonstrated her ability to him and made him the victim of her jutsu. Watching her do the proper hand seals he would find himself quickly entranced into her attack and suddenly the world felt like it was shaking. He would try to keep his eyes on Azarea, but she would suddenly vanish in a poof of smoke and he was left alone with his senses. His clan eyes began to take hold of him as the world around him would begin to shake a lot more violently than normal. His eyes had the adverse side effect that sudden movements would cause him to be disorientated a bit more than average people. So he would be constantly trying to correct his equilibrium with the shaking earth only to find himself falling on his butt. Once the genjutsu was finished and released he would find Azarea hadn't left the spot she cast the genjutsu, but the world was no longer shaking. Now though it did feel like Takame's head was spinning though as he suddenly found himself gagging. Pulling himself to the side, as he was still on the ground, he emptied his stomach of this morning's breakfast into the grass of the training area. Breathing heavily from the sudden expulsion of his innards he would heavily breathe out, "That was certainly effective." "Oh Kami are you all right?" Azarea questioned lunging up from her seat as he doubled over and threw up. The girl bereft of what to do beyond at least help the Kyuumu keep his hair out of his face while he emptied his stomach. A spike of guilt lancing through her gut at the realization he must be effected worse then most by motion sickness though due to what reasons exactly she wasn't entirely certain.

"Easy there. Breath slowly through your nose. Do you want a bit of water to rinse your mouth?" She questioned one hand resting lightly on the younger man's back as she rubbed slowly circles there the same way her Sensei had once done for her when the poison had been affecting her stomach worse then usual and the best she could keep down was broth. The woman's usually business like or cheerful mask fractured with sharp concern as she eyed Takame.

He wasn't sure how to feel at this moment. Mostly because of his labored breathing, he couldn't focus but there was this warmth upon his back as a circular motion was presenting itself as he tried his best to regain composure. It was soft and comforting and felt as if it belong there and to some degree, Takame felt like he didn't want the motion or feeling to ever leave his sensations, but at the same time it was foreign and unknown and that was unacceptable. Not to mention the fact that Azarea seemed to put it upon herself to give him a nickname which was another blast of confusion though this time to his sense of hearing. He wasn't close to people and favored the company of the birds of the village and his clan so hearing someone call him by a shortened version of his birth name gave a warm tingling to his insides, but also brought about a fire in his stomach. There were also the butterflies that seemed to inhibit his innards, but also a queasiness that made him feel uncomfortable. It was just too much for the young man to handle. "I'm fine!" Takame would shout a bit louder than he wanted to as he tried to regain control over both his own body and his mental state. Everything was out of whack for him right now and it wasn't because of the genjutsu. It only was the catalyst that pushed everything over the edge forcing him into this state of confusion. He needed to get back to his normal state of being and if he was honest with himself Azarea wasn't putting him into that state with her concern and care for him. Takame just wasn't used to such platonic affection from people and his brain couldn't handle it or process it. Still, he wanted to learn about the layering of genjutsu as it meant he could improve his battle prowess. So after some time of trying to recollect himself and putting himself in a somewhat stable state of mind he faced Azrea with eyes filled with tears and determination. His amber eyes practically glowed from the combination of rage and ferocity in his drive shining in them. He would then smile menacingly at Azarea which if it affected her would cause her to see Takame pulling his mouth open with his fingers into an even wider smile almost pulling through his flesh and she would feel the pain from it as if he was doing the same to her mouth. Takame would also whistle during this genjutsu in an attempt to layer on his painful ringing technique on top of his demonic smile, but that wouldn't initiate due to the motion of the two techniques counteracting each other. 'You don't look fine,' Azarea thinks, but does not say the words aloud. Instead she just keeps Takame steady a small worried frown tugging at the edges of her lips unaware of the Kyuumu's mix up. 'Kami' and 'Kame' sound quite alike when ones entire senses were screaming from hurling ones lunch. With nothing to be done that wouldn't wound Takame's pride further Azarea settles in as a reassuring and solid presence. Her eyes only briefly glancing over the man noting the way his ears and cheeks color with a flush of embarrassment and something... more maybe? His signature like the cold winds of a howling mountain pass and pinion feathers soft enough to brush or sharp enough to cut mingling with the scent of dust motes hung in thin airy sunshine and rich cedar. Sparks of yellow confusion and shock accompanying the pendulum swing of calm and chaos that is the vibrations of his chakra flow. Emotions flitting through so fast that without hard focus she cannot hope to catch them all as dutifully Azarea trains her eyes on the distant woodline and gives Takame a moment to compose himself. Focusing instead on further opening her minds eye so she could observe his genjutsu.

"Are you ready to cont~" She begins to speak as the Kyuumu straightens, but her words die in her throat as he smiles wide and menacing. The expression catching her off guard and he can see it in the way those sharp scarlet eyes widen in surprise as she takes in the fire in his gaze an answering spark flaring within the red depth's of her own.

The first jutsu catches as she feels her own lips peel back into a smile until the skin cracks and blood wells down her cheeks her fangs wolfish and inhuman now on full display and cheeks aching with the motion. However his second one, the whistle, fails to take hold. His thread of chakra simply laid atop of the first mesh rather then woven into it to make a new whole. The Kunoichi leaving the genjutsu for a moment observing Takame's craftsmanship until she realizes it will be infinitely harder to speak when she can do nothing, but smile. Then... meeting his gaze eyes bright with a burning interest and challenging fire to match his own she unhinges his genjutsu with a ripple of chakra. Breaking the illusion over her knee.

As allowing her smile to drop Azarea lifted a hand working her jaw for a moment before speaking, "I'll have to ask you to teach me that genjutsu at a later date. It would certainly be useful for shutting up mouthy enemies," She quips with a small smirk that couldn't mean anything good for said figurative opponents.

"But I didn't feel the second one take. I think you were concentrating too hard on the first genjutsu and didn't interweave the second one into the first all the way." Azarea explains offering what tips she can, "Do you want to give it another try?" She asks arching a challenging brow her sharp toothed predatory grin simultaneously mocking and encouraging. An impressed weight to her gaze that hadn't been there before in regards to another fine practitioner of their craft.

A sense of pride swelled into Takame's heart as his first genjutsu took hold of its target and he would watch her as her fangs began to display themselves which honestly made Takame raise an eyebrow subconsciously. It's probably what made his second jutsu not stick outside of his thirst for vengeance clouding his ability to layer the jutsu. He wouldn't realize the fascination of the woman's fangs though and would simply think he could not do something right on the first try, but this spark would bare its head on him at a later date. The fact she broke out of the jutsu did frustrate Takame to no end. He was supposed to be strong and not weak and yet here he was with a victim who patronized him and wanted to use his jutsu for their own devices. Still, he needed to keep his cool for the crimson-haired woman and would respond with a scoff, "I doubt you would need a simple genjutsu to shut people up." He wouldn't realize this was a compliment towards the older woman but would rationalize it that if this jutsu couldn't keep her in it that it needed to be worked on harder before it was perfect. She then criticized his jutsu placement and how it wasn't layered to which he spat back a little tad aggressively when she suggested he try again, "It's harder to put someone under a genjutsu who's expecting it!" Takame would cross his arms a bit defiantly and slightly turn away from Azarea as he tried to rack his brain on how he was going to put her under another genjutsu without her knowledge of it. Well, he could if he got behind her while she was distracted right? So that combination might work. Worth a try and this point right? So turning around he would cast his false summoning genjutsu to summon a crow, but while the smoke of the fake summons began to disperse he would use his body to flicker which would make his body seem to disappear in a flock of birds. This was done to be in conjunction with the fake summon, which would also be a raven along with his body flicker, to make it seem like he summoned a flock of birds to attack Azarea. He would use the cover to get behind Azarea and try his ringing genjutsu again hoping it would layer better than the previous attempt at layering. The user will proceed through the process of summoning in the normal manner. Upon the target(s) seeing the user place their hand on a surface the technique will be triggered. The technique allows the user to summon a small to medium size summon of any animal type they wish, which then may be used to "attack" the target(s). It may even appear to do damage to them, but of course this is all fictional. Generally the technique is utilized to make an opponent waste time and energy fighting something that is not even there. NAME: Sanpatsu no Karasu: Shunshin [Scattering of Crows: Body Flicker] RANK: D CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu DESCRIPTION: This technique is one of the many forms of the Body Flicker Technique, where the user invigorates their entire body with chakra and moves at a speed faster than nearly any eye can track; rather than simply disappearing for this particular version though, the user's body appears to disperse into birds, a simple trick meant to hide the user's trajectory from those with skilled eyes. Just like Shunshin, though it mimics teleportation, it is important to remember this jutsu merely boosts the agility of its user significantly. As useful as this technique is, it can only be used 4 times in a battle thread, and any uses beyond those 4 tear the muscles in the user's legs. "You're right I don't need a genjutsu to shut someone up," Azarea admits with a hint of a fanged smile at Takame's compliment the red head disposition brightening in amusement as the way the Kyumuu's chakra bristled and prickled like an angry cat. It was in one word... adorable and it took nearly everything she had not to grin all the wider. "But that doesn't change the fact that it is an entertaining and interesting genjutsu." She compliments in turn.

Though she arches a brow as he snaps back at her. The Kyuumu taking her advice as criticism, "Takame-san that's not what I meant. It~" She begins to say, but before the words can fully leave her lips the shinobi already in motion. The Kyuumu summonign a flock of birds as the Kumo nin feels his chakra settle over her mind catching across her chakra system like a net. This time it's stronger, but then he moves. The Kunoichi recognizing this technique as a shunshin rather then a genjutsu as she tracks his signature turning to match his motion.

"I already know that's not a gen~" Azarea begins having seen Riku use this same technique countless times as she turns on her heel aiming lean forward and startle the Kyuumu as he lands to find himself facing her rather then at her back, but... Flesh impacts flesh as Takame misjudges the distance and Azarea misjudges her motion as faces connect and foreheads impact leaving the red head seeing stars with a bleeding lip and a bruised forehead as she stumbles backwards landing on her ass with a startled yelp.

Takame slightly pouted at Azarea's response about his genjutsu still being an entertaining and interesting jutsu, "It wasn't like I made it or something." He would cross his arms in defiance trying to keep his gaze away from her for a bit since he didn't care too much for the compliments on things he did especially since he wasn't used to it. Though sometimes it was nice to be appreciated for the things he could do. Most of his family was only satisfied with results so if something didn't stick it wasn't done correctly. Probably was one of the reasons for his sour demeanor all the time because he never felt like he did anything right by his family, but at least the crows never judged him too harshly. Sure they had their moments where they could be annoying to him, but at least they would affirm his feelings and keep him company when he was feeling down. At least he had them. Once the first genjutsu was set and Takame would begin to make his move things went south once again for the poor genin. She seemed to be able to practically track his movements and know just where exactly he was with ease. She would turn and because of a misjudgment on his part the two would collide into each other and for a second time stopped. What was this? It was soft and warm, but also tasted warm. Why did it taste warm? As the seconds of the collision went on Takame found himself collapsing for two reasons. Firstly the collision of their foreheads and secondly the overwhelming sensation that made blood rush to his head. When he landed his face would beat red, his eyes would practically be rolled behind his head, and he would be bleeding from his nose. In his mindscape, Takame would find himself floating in the night sky almost like he was a bird floating without beating its wings. A bird would fly up to him with crimson feathers and vermillion eyes. "What a strange and beautiful bird," Takame would say without thinking though his voice in this dreamscape would be hoarse and soft instead of the normal rash and sharpness it normally had. The bird would speak, but Takame couldn't understand what it was saying which was strange to him. He normally could understand birds so why couldn't he understand this one? He couldn't help and feel angry at the fact he couldn't interpret what it was saying and he wanted to tell at it, but he couldn't form the right words and would instead ask, "Why are you paying so much attention to me?" He would instantly go to cover his mouth but he would find his hands just phasing through his head as if they didn't exist. What was going on? Her head throbbed as Azarea stumbled back to her feet turning to glance towards Takame where she expected to see her training partner likely rolling on the ground in the same amount of pain and annoyed distress as she was. What she hadn't expected was to see the Kyuumu laying absolutely still. Her heart skipping a beat in panic as her mind flashed back to the smell of antiseptic and cold hospital beds filled with the too still bodies of the occupants she'd come to call her friends. Fear shooting through her limbs and giving her wobbly legs speed as she lunged across the short distance hitting the ground on her knees. Her fingers finding the pulse point of his throat before she remembered she wore gloves as she ripped the leather coverings off with her teeth. Calloused pads trembling so bad that she couldn't even find the right spot again as precious seconds slipped through her fingers like sand. The woman barely remembering she needed to keep Takame's head and neck steady as she leaned down pressing her ear to his lips feeling the barest brush of air that came with the shallow rise and fall of the Kyuumu's chest. As Azarea let out a shaky breath she hadn't even realized she'd been holding.

Takame was breathing. Unconscious, but breathing. For how long though she didn't know. Head injuries could be tricky. "It's gonna be ok. You're gonna be ok Takame." She mutters softly under her breath. She couldn't risk a fireman's carry. That might jostle him worse so piggy back it was. As carefully she looped his arms over her shoulders hiking the boy that was nearly as tall as herself up onto her back. Her arms gripping his legs as she leaned forward to keep them balanced.

"I got you." Azarea promises as she begins picking her way down the mountain towards the hospital. She'd have to do this the old fashioned way or risk jarring her partner if she shunshin'ed suddenly. With luck they'd run into other shinobi or some corvids she could signal for help.

Joō no Taikanshiki no Regaria [Queen's Coronation Regalia]
A mutated variant of the Aburame clans Yūdai no Omorejō ["Bewildering Grandeur of the Alpha"] resulting from the subsequent poisoning of Azarea's former Yūdai no Omorejō hive to prevent potential hijutsu theft. While the Joō no Taikanshiki no Regaria lacks the Yūdai no Omorejō size instead Azarea's hive has maintained the ability to produce alpha pheromones and commanding vibrations. Evolving instead to hyperspecialize in these two aspects allowing them to produce pheramones and vibrations strong enough to be detected by human hearing and sense of smell.

Reigning Chakra Control
Fine tuning her chakra control to a razor's edge Azarea is capable of performing delicate techniques with minimal to no wastage of chakra. Allowing her to conserve her reserves in prolonged combat and managed more finickity techniques and jutsu.

Kagura Mind's Eye
Born with a natural affinity towards sensing chakra like her Father before her Azarea has trained herself to become a capable sensory shinobi. Unlocking the Kagura's Mind's Eye, and with it, the ability to passively sense chakra signatures in the distance (when using the technique), thus allowing her to not only track, but also memorize a person's chakra signature, even if barely any chakra is being used. Due to her proficiency with this technique, Azarea can currently passively sense chakra up to 500 meters and actively at 2.5 kilometers.
