Shorter in stature, and leaner than many of the physically fit students beginning their career in the shinobi world. He is, by no means, intimidating to behold. Despite the gruesome scars that trace across his face, his body language hardly reads as a hardened fighter. The young man has cotton-candy pink hair and pale blue eyes. His skin is fair, with several deep scars across his body--especially on his face, chest, and arms. Attire Kouichi usually can be seen wearing simple, rather plain clothing. While he wishes to experiment with more feminine and non-traditional clothing, he's often cautious to fully test the waters. Instead, he's often seen wearing plain, baggy, and layered clothing that is relatively practical. A black turtleneck, often paired with a simple, shorter sleeveless shirt over it. Shorts with pockets, and a belt to hold onto some of his gear. Kouichi occasionally wears fingerless gloves when intending to go on missions or training, but it's hardly crucial to him. PERSONALITY NINDO "I don't have something like that." Kouichi is a generally reserved individual. He's not overly social, and tends to shy away from those who try getting more familiar with him. Often rejecting friendly gestures--though not trying to be cruel in his resistance--and often displaying hesitance and discomfort around affection in all of its forms. However, in his youth and inexperience, he hardly has a perfect fortitude and with enough time, it's easy enough to see through his facade. While he tries his best to seem like a serious and determined shinobi in the making, the truth is that he is incredibly insecure with himself and his identity. Often wrestling with craving affection from those he admires, and pushing away the discomfort of the unfamiliar, he more often than not doesn't know how to navigate relationships in most of their forms, and his own self-perceptions often cause an added layer of difficulty when trying to engage with others. Anxious and malleable, the boy can be manipulated and coerced perhaps far easier than his peers. With nearly non-existent sense of boundaries and his seemingly inability to recognize or acknowledge abuse, he's more likely to blame himself when things go wrong or hide any new bones away in his closet where nobody else can see them. That being said, Kouichi has a poor self-esteem. Nearly directionless in life and with very little confidence to push him through, he has very little sense of identity--to an unusual extent for somebody his age. More akin to a puppet, he feels more comfortable assuming whatever role somebody else would prefer most of him. Whatever that might be.
