Being one of the founders of Sai no Kawara, Kazui often found herself carrying more and more of the organization than she would have liked. The thing about the organization itself is that despite being made up of "criminals” their goals and practices were often seen as kind by those they helped. Not only did they help rescue children from becoming objects of war to be used and discarded, they also helped communities whenever they were needed. Which led the Uchiha to being where she was now, standing on the bed of a wagon tossing crates of food and material down to the lower ranking recruits. "There’s fragile objects inside. Don’t drop it.” The girl spoke blandly as she hoisted a couple of crates into her arms and began following behind one of the recruits.

Though they were only tasked with ensuring the safe arrival of the goods as well as the personnel transporting it, Kazui made sure the aspiring recruits worked extra hard and helped get everything sorted away for the struggling village; she herself would do the same. From the streets she entered one of the restaurants and placed the crates of food down onto the counter. "Oi! Thank you! Times have been rough with those bandits making off with our stuff, don’t know what we’d do without you guys!” The older man behind the counter spoke out, showing gratitude. Kazui simply shook her head slightly from left to right. "There is no need to thank us.” Pulling the hood from over her head, the teen would take a seat at the bar and take a deep breath.

The place was rather run down despite it being clean. A few patrons were seated throughout the small establishment, but most of the seats remained empty as it was only nearing lunch time. Her eyes continued to wander around, looking at those within the building, and with her sensory probing around, she was able to tell that someone wasn’t like the rest…

There seemed to be another kunoichi within the vicinity..

This is done by focusing and opening the mind's eye, though due to the low chakra cost many users keep it active often. The ability also extends to telling when a person is lying from the fluctuations in a person's chakra made from dishonest emotions or detecting if someone, including the user, is under a genjutsu. Also by focusing on a particular chakra, the user can perceive its location and movement with great detail.

Little Know It All - Extreme Intelligence
It was no secret that Kazui was regarded as a scholar when she was in the academy. One of the smartest in her class, the Uchiha often found herself correcting and/or helping out people older than herself. Many considered her very intellectual then, but that was just only the surface of her potential. Now, the girl is regarded as a genius, her IQ is nothing to be taken lightly or to be taken for granted, even as a young chunin. The teen possesses amazing mental capacity, is able to concentrate flawlessly even in the heat of battle, can calculate things in her head with great speed, and is able to remember many things with perfect recollection, even if it’s just useless information that is meant to be disregarded. In addition to that, Kazui is very deductive, competent, and witted. Her mind is the most dangerous weapon she possesses for many reasons. The girl is highly alert, aware, and very analytical, and she is also very ingenious and is capable of thinking outside of the box as well. Not only is she capable of reading, analyzing, and breaking down a person’s fighting style, but she can also determine what kind of person they are just by the way they speak, the way they carry themselves, and their thoughts on certain things. While doing this, it’s incredibly difficult to deceive the girl, especially if one is not skilled in the art of deception. Furthermore, Kazui can formulate numerous plans to certain situations in mere seconds. She thinks 10 steps ahead, and always has a back up plan just incase.

Gone In The Wind - Blistering Speed
As a child, Kazui was born weaker than others. Her health conditions set the girl at a disadvantage physically since birth, however her constant effort and drive to become the best has pushed her far beyond many others the same rank as herself. Her speed is nothing to be taken lightly, she has pushed herself physically to be able to not only outpace her opponent, but outright force them into keeping up with her and pushing them to the brink with her speed as well. The girl is fast, quick, and agile, even rivaling those who dedicated their entire life to the art of taijutsu to the point where if they haven’t specifically honed their speed, then the girl could outright outclass them in that regard. Those with weak perception often have trouble perceiving the girl’s movements, and to a normal human’s eye perceiving her is nigh impossible. All of her movements are inhumanly quick and hard to keep track of, and when used in conjunction with her sharingan, it can make her a formidable opponent for even the strongest of shinobi.

The Minimalist - Chakra Control
There was a problem that Kazui noticed during her time in the academy and that was the fact that she often found herself tiring out and exhausting herself rather quickly, even when she had just started she could feel herself beginning to wilt. So to counter those measures, the girl studied and asked around, trying to find the reason behind it and if there was a way she could fix it. She wasn’t born with massive reserves so while she utilized her justus, she often did so wastefully. But now, the girl has managed to control the amount of chakra she uses in a technique that allows her to fight much longer than before. She uses the absolute bare minimum of the chakra that’s needed, and not a drop more.

Uchiha Bloodline: Two Tomoe Sharingan
Being born within the Uchiha clan, Kazui has been blessed and/or cursed with a power that only an Uchiha can possess and use to its complete and full potential when they have experienced extreme emotions that causes their chakra to pour into their optic nerves, gifting them with the Sharingan, also known as the eyes that reflect the heart. There are three stages to the sharingan, and it is tracked by the amount of tomoe that appears around an Uchiha’s pupil. One tomoe unlocks the eye of insight, it grants the user the ability to see chakra within an opponent or ally and it also gives an increase to the user’s perceptive abilities. Two tomoe grants the user the eye of hypnotism, while in turn increasing the previous abilities that the ‘Eye of Insight’ grants. The girl’s precognition and perception is heightened well beyond what’s achievable by even the most skilled and elite shinobi, allowing her more of a predictive insight on her opponent as well as the world around her. In terms of her being able to track extremely fast objects and people alike, the eye also allows a natural reactive ability that helps her respond more accurately than a single tomoe could ever allow. As for the ability to see chakra, with a second tomoe the smallest and most faint sources of chakra can easily be spotted by the eye without any issue at all. Assigning color and analyzing the flow of the chakra, Kazui can tell which nature is going to be used as well as where the chakra will be coming from.

The Eye of Hypnotism on the other hand is much different than the previous eye, it allows the girl the ability to cast and break genjutsu with no issue at all, in a way only the Uchiha are capable of. It also gives her access to a set of genjutsu only known to those who possess great visual prowess amongst the clan. These illusions are very powerful in nature and are some of the most dangerous known to the art, they are well beyond standard genjutsu, and in addition the illusions can be casted with just a single glare. Those who met her gaze will find themselves under her spell before they can even realize what happened.

Tiny Dancer - Elusiveness
Kazui is one quick girl, which isn’t hard to tell. Thanks to her training, the girl has amazing agility and reflexes that allow her to keep herself out of harms way. Even without her sharingan being active, Kazui possesses sharp perceptive abilities and reflexes that allows her to become an escape artist of some sort as well as a complete nuisance to those trying to fight her. The girl’s reaction speed is superb and not to be taken lightly as it is, however, when the dojutsu is active, taking into account the girl’s great speed and adding her keen reflexes into the mix, it’s capabilities are much more potent and useful to the Uchiha. With this, not only is Kazui capable of keeping track of even the most renowned speediest opponents and attacks, the girl is able to keep up with, and react to them as well with relative ease.

Wake Up To Reality - KME Genjutsu Prowess
As an Uchiha it is believed that Kazui and many of her clanmen were born with a natural affinity for the art of genjutsu, but of course none of it can ever come to fruition if there is no effort placed behind it. However, since she was constantly reminded by those around her about that fact, the girl began to focus on the art more than ever before.

Although her illusions do become much more elaborate, less flawed in a certain sense, and stronger, the true results come more in the form of defending herself against genjutsu. Her vast knowledge of the art as well as her training and extremely high sensory capabilities allow for the Uchiha’s escape efforts to be significantly stronger than it normally is, allowing her to free herself from genjutsu up to 1 rank above what she is typically capable of via the special ability granted to the Uchiha with The Sharingan’s genjutsu escape. It should be noted however that genjutsu reversal does not receive any additional boosts from this ability.

Sleight of Hand - Seals Master
As Kazui grew older and gained more experience and familiarity with the ninja arts, the girl’s chakra control had essentially been mastered along with her speed and accuracy with forming hand-seals. Countless of hours spent training, learning, and even creating new jutsu has made the girl grow familiar with every seal needed to perform any jutsu, every motion for every combination, her body absorbed and memorized - allowing her to flow through the motions with no given thought or effort. Her speed with forming these seals is insanely quick and precise, she’s even capable of stringing together the lengthiest combinations of hand seals and casting jutsu faster than most can even dream of keeping up with, making it appear as if she hadn’t even tried to use any hand-seals to begin with. Her vast knowledge and familiarity with sealing in addition to her refined chakra control has lead her to being able to utilize only a single hand to form a seal as well, though she only does this under certain circumstances.

Being a neukenin was tough..if tough was really the right term to describe her life now. She had chosen this life though, chosen to leave her village instead of just leading a normal shinobi life. More than that, she had made the conscious choice to become a criminal, to betray the place and the people who had known her and fostered her. Ryuujin Shiina was always a woman of little care for the world. She wasn’t reckless, although that was what being careless seemed to indicate. She was not evil either, though some would say otherwise. Those who knew of the murder she committed would have painted her to be the worst person alive, having killed someone of such value to the village. But the woman knew from a long time ago that justice was not to be served in ways that were just. She had learned that she had to pave her own path and follow her own morals, even if those morals stood against all those around her.

Did she ever regret leaving Kumo? No. Did she want things to end this way? Not at all. But ever since she had killed the first man, the man who started this new change in life for her, she knew there was no turning back. A long time of hiding and living life without a purpose or a home, she learned that there was really not much that life could really offer her, except for her skills as a shinobi. Shiina knew that to make a name for herself, to be the person to change what justice was and what it looked like, to be the person who was dignified and respected, she would have to be one of the strongest shinobi. And so, in the years she had become a neukenin, she learned to lay low, to be well away from Kumo and other neighboring villages. But this didn’t stop her thirst for knowledge. After learning from a young age that knowledge held more power and could sway more than any strength could, she hungered for more information and loved to use it against those who thought they could outsmart or betray her.

And such was the reason why she found herself at this rundown bar. Rundown was quite an understatement though, as Shiina was used to extravagance. To her, alcohol was of course important. The grade of the substance, as well as how meticulous the bartenders were in ensuring that every drink was crafted with care were two of the most important things she looked for in a bar. But the atmosphere and overall ambience were also quite important. Unfortunately, this particular establishment offered neither, and judging from the patrons who frequented this place, she could feel herself being out of place the moment she walked in the door.

She had come because of an informant; someone she had close ties with who she met in a small town in Kaminari no Kuni. Despite not having a care for the council and leadership of her village since committing the crimes against it, she still enjoyed any information that this informant could share with her. It kept her in the loop, while not quite exactly at the same time. As she sat down at one of the chairs in the back corner of the bar, the woman knew that the person she was going to meet wasn’t going to come. People were never late when they had to meet her, and whatever the reason may be for their lateness would always be pre-communicated. The fact that the person wasn’t here waiting for her meant that they were not showing.

Signaling to a half-interested bartender, she ordered a drink of umeshu, a mixture of liquor and plum. She loved the drink, loved its acidity and slightly sour taste. Perfect for her now somewhat sour mood. "Umeshu on the rocks…” her voice was low and raspy, as she pulled on the black overcoat that hid most of her outfit. Shiina pulled down the hood which had covered most of her place. Since she had already found herself here, there was no reason why she couldn’t have a drink before leaving. It was as she got settled into her seat that she heard the door open, and through the corner of her eye, she sensed that the presence was unlike anyone else in the room..

Kazui looked over her shoulder towards the back corner of the bar and there sat a lady who was seemingly waiting for her drink. Smooth melanated skin showing beneath her cloak and other items of clothing. Kazui wasn’t a betting girl, but if she had too, she would guess that this woman in particular was from Kumogakure…was she being followed? There was only one easy to find out for sure. As the waiter exited from behind the bar, the raven haired child would hop down from her seat at the bar and would stop the man dead in his tracks, holding her hand up slightly and reaching for the drink with her other hand.

"I got it from here, thank you.”

She spoke with a nod. He wasn’t sure why she wanted to do his work for him but he wasn’t the type to argue, simply shrugging it off as he returned to the back of the establishment. Kazui wasted little time as she made her way across the floor, cutting through tables, chairs, and other patrons alike until she finally reached the woman. Placing the drink down in front of the lady, Kazui grabbed a seat across from her. "You look familiar..have I seen you around before?” She asked, however only moments afterwards did she remember just who the woman was and where she had seen the lady from before. Being Ex-Anbu was a blessing at times and a curse during others, but it allowed her to know a bit about nukenin from nations allied with the land of fire which is where she saw her face previously.

NOTES - A toast to...something!

While the waiter nodded his head in silent acknowledgment of the woman's order, Shiina took the liberty to scan everyone in the establishment. She wasn't looking for anyone in particular, but simply liked to...people watch. It wasn't unknown to her that the raven-haired girl sitting at the front of the bar with her back to her had gotten up a few minutes later, intersecting the waiter who had taken her order before. It seemed rather strange that she would stop the man, especially taking the drink he had been holding from his hand directly. A normal patron would never do such a thing, unless they were too thirsty, then maybe. But something about this girl and her movement caught the neukenin's attention.

And it would seem the feeling was reciprocated as the girl made her way towards the Ryuujin's table. From the looks of the girl, she was slender and young, as do most girls look. She had slightly paler skin than Shiina. The purple-hair woman wondered if she was a shinobi, and if so, from which country. Of course, from which country wasn't really of too much importance, in the grand scheme of things. She doubted the possibility of people from any country welcoming or becoming friends with a neukenin. So, as Kazui approached her table with her umeshu in hand, she was already guarded, watching silently her every move.

Although perhaps not the strongest in her clan, But she was not to be taken lightly, especially since she hadn't necessarily been sitting on her butt and doing nothing since leaving Kumogakure. While Kazui set the drink down on her table and started with one of the most generic of generic phrases to break the silence, Shiina eyed the girl cautiously. If the girl expected her to just spill the beans, she would be in for a rather unpleasant surprise. Not only was the Ryuujin extremely careful, she was also not much of a talker. Choosing her words carefully, she lifted her eyes to look at the girl and give her a small, yet professional, smile. "I don't recall having ever met you I'm afraid..." Her eyes sparkled and her voice light, she took the glass in her hand and swirled her drink lightly. "In any case, I suppose it's a pleasure to meet you?"

The fact that Shiina hadn't flat out sent the girl along was an indication that she too was curious about this stranger. Maybe they had indeed crossed paths before, for she had crossed paths with many in her time. This led the woman to wonder if this person was a Kumo nin, deciding to not get too worked up about being approached so unexpectedly just yet. There was always a reason behind every encounter, new or old, and she welcomed such encounters even if they turned out to be her enemy. "Well, would you like to take a seat?" Shiina extended her hand to the chair opposite from her.

As the woman collected her drink and swirled the contents around in the glass, Kazui watched closely, her memory was golden and the fact that she managed to run across Shiina was definitely interesting to her, even if the woman didn’t know who she was in return. At this point in her life as a kunoichi, the Uchiha was more or less a common household name, but it seemed as if the woman was unaware of who she was - which was a bit refreshing to Kazui. As greetings were exchanged the girl grabbed a seat across from the ex-cloud woman and promptly brought her hands up to rest beneath her chin. Dark hues looked over her closely, detailed but only briefly, she wasn’t concerned in her reacting in a defensive way, but was more so passively collecting information without really noticing what she was doing.

"Don’t worry I’m not here to cause any trouble, I've given up my headband long ago.”

Kazui stated through her nonchalant soft spoken tone, she wanted Shiina to at least recognize that she wasn’t there to kill her or return her to Kumogakure, but instead she was interested in what the woman had been up to during the previous years and what might have led her to where she is now. Back when she was an ANBU operative, the girl was told to at least keep an eye out for the "Invisible Saber” due to how lethal she could be. But now since she has no obligation to really capture her, Kazui wished to pick the woman’s brain. "I’m not going to beat around the bush.” She started, pulling down at the collar of her cloak, revealing a gray shirt, turning slightly to the side to display it to the woman. She would reveal her clan’s symbol stitched into the clothing to let her know that she was an Uchiha. She hadn't met a fellow neukenin for awhile now and hadn't had the pleasure of owning a bingo book to read up on this person like the other seemingly had been able to do. "And as for my story...there are parts that are quite a blur now, it's been a few years, but you can ask away." It had been so long since Shiina had been able to say her real name and be the person she was. For such a long time, she wanted nothing more but to fit in but found it hard to be open and honest with the people around her.

It was fair that they were both in the same predicament, but that wouldn’t be for long, so it wasn’t exactly the same. "Right.” She had a good bit on the woman already, and it was etched into her mind, but of course she wanted to know more. "Kazui.” Leaning back into her seat Kazui gave off very relaxed, calm, and nonchalant energy much like always, hopefully this energy could become contagious to her counterpart as well. Regardless, a smirk curled on the teenager's young features as Shiina made the proposition that she would be able to ask questions about the Raven as well..

"I must inform you that I am a bore but sure…you can give it a shot.” A breathy chuckle escaped her breath as her gaze drifted to the table for a bit, it was a fair request. Her story wasn’t nearly as interesting as others, she was only here because she was a bratty little bitch who would’ve risked death just to be able to speak with her brother - it paled in comparison to Shiina’s notorious crime. "Though, Kumogakure didn’t provide our black ops with much information on the incident, just an overview of the basics. Would you like someone to know your side of the story? Shiina wasn't used to a relaxed female, or rather one that was not calculating despite the calm. She had met many females in her time, most of whom were either jealous of her appearance or wanting to learn more about her secrets. It wasn't that she didn't trust women, for men and women were only a difference of gender, but rather that she understood that women were sometimes not as straightforward, that they were capable of facades and disguises that went beyond the physical. As she watched the girl carefully, every aspect of her character portrayed one thing: calm and collected, but she was unsure whether there was something more, something she should know about before she told her story to its entirety.

The Ryuujin assessed the words Kazui spoke. It would seem that she was of course no stranger to what had happened for Shiina to have become a neukenin, and from the ways her eyes betrayed her, it was safe to suggest that she trusted the words that came out of Shinia's mouth. As she inquired deeper, the woman thought about the very questions that had hindered her from the very beginning, the fact that Kazui had simply walked up to her and told her that she knew of her real identity so casually was not something she was used to. Taking in a small breath, the woman stared at the girl before her, her golden hues against her crimson, while she put her thoughts into words, carefully and slowly.

"There was a plague, as you may or may not be aware. A council member had been gathering evidence and testimonials to blame me for it, or at least for its introduction to the village. They were willing to lie in order to incriminate me, that I had a hand in something that took the lives of many I loved around me..." she stopped, inhaling and exhaling again as she spoke. "It infuriated me that the village I grew up in, the very people who helped me become the shinobi I had been then were turning against me. In a fit of anger I decided that if they were going to frame me for a crime I never committed, then I would gladly have them come after me for a crime I definitely committed." She took a sip of her drink, her expression unable to mask the anger and bitterness on her face.
