[attr="class","skullbody"]It been the second day into the young woman’s camping trip. She’d woken up nestled in her sweater, the biting cold preventing her from feeling the sweat on her body. As she exited from her campsite she’d cover her hands from the morning sun that would bead down into her tent as she opened it’s flaps making her way towards a spare spear that she happened to have planted into the ground beside her tent.

"Another morning, another adventure.” the youth would say to herself She’d make her way down towards a river looking towards the water spotting some of the fish that were able to survive in such a cold temperament and carefully lining up her aim before stabbing into the water and capturing a fish on the end of her spear, the poor creature struggling on its tip.

After taking her catch and placing it into a small bucket she’d brought with her she’d gather a few more before heading back to camp and starting a fire to roast her meal. Taking some time to simply enjoy basking in the cool morning air. She had been working hard so it was nice to have a moment to relax.

She’d watch as some of the animals would fly by taking a deep breath as she looked out at her surroundings bliss~

Man... how in the world did he end up here?

From the Land of Lightning to the Land of... Somwehere. What a journey! "O..su?" A bewildered exclamation turned concern as he touched down on the snowy island country. Sounds of teeth chattering could be heard as he made his way inland. Good thing he still had a parka, mittens, and earmuffs that he stole borrowed! Though his straw sandals didn't do much to keep his feet warm as he trudged through the landscape...

It wasn't long before he happened upon some freezing river. A shivering grin crossed his flushed face. "T-time to p-practice!" Remembering what Azarea had showed him in the Land of Fire the youth brought his mitten'd hands together to form a Tora seal. As carefully as he could (which was still not very careful) he funneled chakra into his feet, then ventured out over the flowing waters using the Suimen Hokou no Waza to allow him to traverse the river. "H-he h-he...~" A sly somewhat broken giggle sounded as he made his way up the stream. Continuing on for some time until his sensitive nose picked up the scent of a campfire. The boy's teeth continued to chatter as he picked up the pace, coming to a sliding halt on the water's surface near a campsite. "Mm?" An inquisitive noise sounded in his throat upon seeing a girl with white hair resting near the fire. "O-oi!" He shouted, waving a gloved hand at the girl from the river. Fire Release helped with the chill... but he couldn't keep toasting his toes all day! "C-can I u-use your f-f-fire?" Another shout. His freezing was plain to see even at a distance.

It was probably a strange sight... but so was he on most days. Clearly he was no native . Maybe she knew where he was?

[attr="class","skullbody"]As the girl enjoyed her time sitting around her campsite a chattery voice would call out to her in the distance. "Hmm…?” The amber eyed girl would look out down the edge of the river bank and spot a boy walking along the surface of the water calling out to her asking to use her campfire. He looked absolutely mad standing out there so jovially in the dead of winter like that as she spotted him the girl would nod her head allowing him permission to take advantage of her campsite waving back to him. "But of course!”

As she watched him she’d make her way towards the edge of the river meeting him in the middle. But not before examining his clothes for a brief moment which didn’t seem to be nearly layered enough for this particular kind of arctic environment.

Yet as she met his gaze he seemed to be in high spirits, despite seemingly being absolutely freezing. As he made his way to the edge of the river bank she’d reach a hand out to him to allow him to pass over, "Are you alright…here let me get you a blanket, wait here.”

Not wanting to see a man freeze to death in the frigid cold, the girl would make her way towards her tent and would return with a blanket for him to cover himself in. "Here you are…this ought to keep you safe from the elements…are you lost? I’m Jun, Jun Muramtsa a pleasure.” she’d allow him to cozy up to the fire. "I've just recently finished cooking some lunch if you're hungry.” the girl would say with a pleased smile sitting along the ground and offering the boy a piping hot piece of freshly grilled fish.

Lucky him, she was a nice person!

The boy grinned widely despite his chattering teeth as he trudged forward "O-o-osu!" A stuttered exclamation as he reached the riverbank and dispelled the chakra under his feet. Snow on his toes didn't feel too good, though. Hobbling alongside the girl as quick as he could they reached the fire and he instantly got way too close, turning like meat on a spit as he attempted to warm himself. "S-s-sounds g-g-g-good!" His response to her mention of a blanket, lifting a foot and placing it nearly into the flames to warm up his almost frostbitten toes. As she handed him the quilt he bowed his head quickly in thanks before draping it around himself and pulling tight. "T-thanks p-p-pretty lady." Now that he was closer he could see she was definitely an attractive person. He wondered... did all people outside of Kika Island look good? First Azarea, now her... who would he run into next? A model?!

He shoulda left a whole lot sooner than his sixteenth birthday!

Letting out an exasperated, "Brrrr..." as he warmed himself by the flames he closed his eyes and tried to control his shivering. "H-how d-do you l-l-l-live l-like this?" A confused question as he raised an eyebrow and stared at the girl. She introduced herself as Jun and the boy stuck a mitten out to shake her hand. "R-Ryō n-n-n-no Eiji!" As he held his hand out a concerned look crossed his flushed face and he leaned back a bit. "...y-you're n-not a Y-Y-Yuki-onna, a-are y-you?" Last thing he needed was to get lured in by a snow spirit and frozen to death! But then again... if she looked like this maybe that wouldn't be the worst way to go. Always had his fire too if it came down to it. Any suspicions he easily forgot when she mentioned food. "I-I'm s-starved! T-thanks." Eiji bowed slightly again, graciously accepting the piece of fish and tossing it whole into his mouth. Nice and helpful. Good find!

Chewing he continued to turn every so often in front of the fire. The blanket helped... soon his chattering might even stop!

[attr="class","skullbody"]As the boy stayed at the campsite the girl would allow him some time to warm himself up he would thank her for the blanket making a compliment on her appearance the girl found this humorous and would smile to him. "Thank you, you’re too kind.” It wasn’t often Jun had found herself on the end of a compliment so it was nice to hear even if it didn’t do much for her. He would continue to shiver his body no doubt still getting acclimated to the cold.

He would ask how she lived like this his eyebrow raised as she administered the blanket to him. "You get used too it after a while.” the girl would chuckle a slight poshness in her accent. Judging by his question she assumed he must not be from around the area it made her curious, but before she could ask her question in return he’d extend out a mitted hand and the girl would shake it hearing his name through chattering teeth, but would notice some concern on his face as he asked if she was a demon a Yuki-onna specifically.

Prompting another chuckle causing her face to wrinkle as she smiled. "Nice to meet you Ryo.” the girl would say as she took a piece of fish from off of the fire pit which he ate in one bite, his antics were amusing. "And no I promise I'm not a demon." Afterwards she’d place the rod back over the Iron and would eat a piece of her own sitting a few feet from him allowing him to acclimate to his new environment and keep warm.

Eiji looked to nod enthusiastically at her reply... but that might've just been because of his shivering.

Minutes passed and his quaking finally, eventually stopped. "Don't know how you'd ever get used to this." The boy said, turning again so that his back was to the fire. Bundled up in a blanket over his striped parka wearing flip flops he looked pretty goofy. But a curiosity shone in his eyes as he finally settled enough to look around. "Guess it is kinda nice here..." He thought aloud, his mouth pursing to the side for just a moment. "Besides the cold." Like a lightbulb had turned on his own words made him remember something, and he turned to face the girl. "By the way... what is this place?" Silence followed as he blinked a few times. Waiting for a reply.

Yes. He had stumbled upon an entirely different country... by complete accident. Wasn't his fault though, his map was old!

After hearing her words he waved a mitten in frank dismissal. "Just call me Eiji." Formality was boring! She didn't claim demonhood so he sighed in relief. "Nice to meet you too then, Jun." Good thing for him, demons were no joke. Probably. "Thanks for the fish!" He said with another oddly disciplined bow. If the girl was familiar with martial arts she might recognize it as a common sign of respect. It was a nice appetizer but his stomach still gurgled a bit as he stood there. Glancing around once more his head stopped moving as his large eyes came to rest on her again. Confusion graced his face. "What're you doin' all the way out here?" To a non native, the place looked completely desolate. Where were the houses? Restaurants? All the other good-looking people?!

Clearly thinking hard on this he brought a mitten'd hand up to scratch the back of his head. Maybe he sank his boat on the way here and this was the afterlife... pretty lame. Too cold!

[attr="class","skullbody"]The girl would watch him as he warmed up and his body eventually ceased it’s chattering he didn’t seem to be certain as to how others could get used to such weather but seemed to reflect on it seeing that it was somewhat of a nice place other than the temperature. She observed him as she chewed on her food listening to him talk and simply examining him his lack of familiarity with the locale made him interesting just where was he from.

He raised another query about where they were as the girl finished her foot and wiped the small deposits of grilled meat from his lips. "These are the eastern forests, the nearest port town isn’t too far from here, however this river bank is actually apart of an estuary that leads into the ocean.” the girl would wonder was he some sort of sea fairer an explorer perhaps but if he was where was his boat, more curiosities he seemingly came out of nowhere and that bow of his it seemed familiar was he a martial artist?

As the girl finished her food the younger boy would ask her what she was doing all the way out there. "Camping of course, its something of a pastime of mine, I've been here for 2 days now.” the girl would state as she sat with her legs crossed in front of the fire. "It's quite peaceful here, wouldn't you say? And what about you? What brings you to Yuki no Kuni?”

A raised eyebrow was his response to the girl's directions as he reached inside of his parka and withdrew a worn old map.

Focus came to his flushed face as he squinted. "Let's see..." He thought aloud to himself, searching anywhere for a sign of 'eastern forests'. No dice. A mitten rose to scratch the back of his head as he listened to her speak of camping, nodding as he studied. "Camping's fun... but out in all this snow?" Eiji could only roll his eyes in comic exasperation. Between this place and the Land of Lightning he was ready to head for warmer climates already! "Usually I camp on a mountain or in a big forest somewhere." Came the boy's reply, eyes once again fixating on the map as a wide grin spread across his face. "There's always a buncha cool animals to find!" Suddenly a thought occurred to him and his eyes drifted upward in remembrance. "But the last time I was on a mountain I did get jumped by some weirdo with lightning jutsu..." His mouth pursed and his brow furrowed a bit. What a jerk. Turning his gaze briefly to Jun he smiled and nodded. "So you might be onto somethin' after all!" A snowy wasteland surely held less odds of running into bandits or the like, right?

He sure hoped so... that last fight didn't end too well.

Jun mentioned that his place was peaceful and after looking around he rested his gaze on her. Wide-eyed. Blinking. "Cold!" A joking reply as he chuckled and closed his eyes in a grin. Squatting down near the fire he moved the map in his gloved hands, doing his best to search for these forests before she mentioned the name of the country. "Wait..." Eiji began, bringing the paper too close to his own face. After a moment his jaw dropped. "We're all the way up here?!" Turning the map in his hands he showed the girl, a mitten pointing at a lone snowy island at the very northernmost edge. Eiji was dumbfounded. "Maybe the tides pushed me off course..." His expression turned to one of exaggerated annoyance as his eyes shut again and he scratched his head. Man what a flub.

If he kept getting lost like this how was he ever gonna find his uncle? Or his dad? Or grandpa?! Least he knew his mom was safe back in the Land of Fire... so that was something at least.

[attr="class","skullbody"]As the boy removed his map from his back pocket and looked it over he’d remark that camping was fun but still seemed to have a hard time fathoming how someone could do it, in all of this snow. The girl who had now finished her meal would hear him remark about how he’s camped on a mountain and all of the animals that he’d find he sounds like a man well traveled hearing and thinking of all of the stories that he could tell made her mind run wild with excitement. "Where must he have gone I wonder? Tsuchi no Kuni, Kaminari no Kuni, Sora no Kuni?”she'd think.

Jun herself has left the country on quite a few occasions but has yet to ever go anywhere as mountainous as Kaminari no Kuni, and would love to see the blue skies of Sora no Kuni one day. As she glanced over at his map hearing him remark of a battle he seemed to find himself in she wondered just what kind of foe he could've been and what must've happened for him to wind up there. "Lightning style...?" but judging by his calmer tone after he sounded like he was mostly just glad to be somewhere safe. "He sounds like a man well traveled." she'd think.

But when he answered her question he would remark with "Cold.” the obvious answer of course a chipper expression on his face much like the one she always wore. But as he checked back on his map he would remark that he seemed flabbergasted to be so off course, she felt sympathy for him to be so far from his destination due to a miscalculation a rare frown on the girls face. "Oh dear my apologies that you seemed to have lost your way, when traveling these waters it does tend to be a tad harrowing.” she had been on quite a few ships before having traveled on 3 separate occasions to Tsuchi no Kuni and an Island near Whirlpool country respectively.

"But if you need to return to sea then perhaps I can escort you to the city of Shisenno, if you don’t mind keeping me company for the last day of my trip?” the girl would say. "I can help you navigate your way through these treacherous woods, in exchange you regale me with your stories!” the girl was happy to help someone in need and he seemed to be in an unfortunate predicament as the girl flashed another grin towards the boy she'd offer him yet another piece of fish.

Turning the map back over in his hands the boy stared at it  even closer and gave a big old frown.

Yama taught him better than this! "Man..." This made two times he'd gotten lost now... if his uncle ever found out he'd probably throw him off a cliff or something for more training. Not wanting to even think about that he squinted at the parchment, hardly realizing Jun staring at him. Probably came off as an oddball. Kinda was. "Mhm, mhm." He responded with several nods to her statement about the waters being harrowing. "Good thing this rowboat held up. The other one I borrowed sank back near the Land of Tea." 'Borrowed' meaning 'stole' but he really did plan on giving it back! A bit hard now that it had been claimed by the vast ocean... but still.

He'd have to pay back his neighbor somehow for the lost watercraft. Maybe his uncle had some cash? Hopefully.

Looking up from the paper at the mention of Shisenno he tilted his head. "Yeah... I think that's the place I came from." What a nice lady. Offering to guide him and all. In return she requested some stories and Eiji's grin grew even wider. Great! "I got all kinds of stories, what do ya wanna know?" Rolling up the old map he put it inside of his coat and snagged the piece of fish offered to him. Plopping it in his mouth without ceremony he chewed and placed his hands near the fire. With a raging blaze nearby this place wasn't too bad... but no way could he live here. Still squatting he waited for a reply.

The boy had only set out a few months ago and already he'd seen a bunch of stuff... what was she interested in? His large eyes looked to her in anticipation. Grinning as he ate.

[attr="class","skullbody"]The boy once again seemed rather disheartened about being lost yet again, she felt bad for the boy but at least now amongst their camp he was warm, as she spoke on the waters the boy would nod being thankful that his rowboat had held up, and that his other one sank near the land of tea. "The Land of Tea…? Isn’t that on the other side of he world…very much far south?” the girl would wonder to herself he really was a man well traveled all of this information was absolutely fascinating.

When the girl had mentioned the city of Shisseno he seemed to be rather familiar with the location upon hearing the name of the locale tilting his head somewhat another humorous little tic. Once the girl had laid out her deal for him to stay and tell her a few stories in exchange for a guide back to the village he seemed pleased throwing a smile her way stating that he had tons of stories, this made the girl almost want to clap her hands with glee.

"Haha, Splendid!” the girl would say, with a pleased grin. "Well for starters, where are you from? And what was it that led you here?” she would scoot closer removing her notebook from her back pocket, ready to take notes on the words from the young stranger. Eager to hear his many yarns that he could spin telling his of his many journeys.

Several energetic nods followed her first question.

Cha no Kuni was indeed very far away. "Yup!" Since setting out from his home he'd come really far... yet somehow managed to miss anything he might be looking for. Dumb, stupid luck.

It was okay though, he got to meet some cuties!

Plenty of sights to see on this journey of his, and his goal was sort of all-encompassing so he didn't even have an ending point. The Shinobi World was a big place filled with all sorts of excitement and danger. Wildly different people with differing views. Exotic food and drink. Crazy, impossible animals to befriend. Pleasures to seek. Eiji was gonna see and do it all!

As the girl stated her excitement and moved closer his grin persisted, a sly, "Hehe...~" Escaping his lips. Splendid for sure. In response to her next question he retrieved his map again, unfurling it to hold it out before them. "I'm from Kika Island." He said with a nod, squinting at the parchment. A few seconds later he tapped a small blue dot on the map located on its southern section. "Here in Umi no Kuni." Her final question was bit trickier to answer and he placed a mitten'd hand to his chin in thought. "Hm... guess I just wanted to see the world!" Nodding again his eyes drifted upwards as he thought back to the beginning. "Borrowed a neighbor's rowboat but like I said it sank... then I swam to shore in Cha no Kuni." Remembering all the salt in his hair and clothes made him furrow his brow in comical frustration. It was super duper annoying "My mom lives in Konoha, I went to visit but couldn't since I don't have any 'paperwork''." Best he could he formed air quotes with his two mitten covered fingers. Who even has that?! "Met this hottie with red hair who taught me how to walk on water! She was really nice." A giggle sounded out as he thought of her. What a fun time. Hopefully he'd see her again soon. "Went to find her in Kaminari no Kuni, got jumped by that sparky weirdo..." Several electric burns still covered his coat... that part wasn't so fun. "Took another rowboat and ended up here!" Of course there was plenty of stuff in between but that was about the gist of it!

A long windy road full of detours to end up... nowhere. Still hadn't seen any of his family, but that was alright! Eiji knew they were out there somewhere causing a ruckus.

[attr="class","skullbody"]As she moved closer and the boy told his story he’d let out some sort of cheeky noise clearly he was having fun as well it would seem. As he began his tale he’d remove a map from out of his pocket once again going over all the different locales that he was from starting with Kika island a place she’d only ever seen in picture books she always imagined to be a place with stunning vistas and a lovely seaside shore nothing short of an island paradise. "Kika island! Oh I've heard its lovely!” the girl would say.

His reason for traveling to see the world was a simple goal but an exciting one she too would love to see more of the planet if she could and wonder what he must’ve uncovered in his travels. He’d go on to mention how he borrowed a rowboat and that he swam to shore to Tea country, a worrying tale but a fascinating one as well. She painted a picture in her mind of the boy making his way over struggling against the perilous seas.

"How far off shore were you that must've been rather taxing. Was he knocked off course then too?” she was eager to know more about his journeys, swimming to a shore after rowing halfway across the country was no easy feat, he must have a great deal of stamina to accomplish something so monumental it made her wonder just who was this mysterious stranger.

She would wait to get an answer to his question, taking notes as she continued vigorously scribbling down information. He mentioned that his mother lived in Konoha somewhat alarming, if he had family in Konoha just what else might he be, relations between Yukigakure and Konoha were rather strained so she may need to tread carefully in her dealings with this boy but for the most part he seemed harmless. "So he has family all over the world, Konoha specifically.” she would wonder as she thought on things a tad more he didn’t seem to be all that old perhaps it was a sad tale best not one to pry about.

After making his way to Hi no Kuni he would then travel to Kaminari no Kuni to meet another woman who he called a "hottie.” who taught him water walking so clearly he must’ve been capable of utilizing chakra but to what end? Curiouser and curiouser. She hung onto his words as minimal and lacking in detail as they were; however the less he told the more of the story she had made up for herself. He next told of a weirdo that he had fought who had used Raiton making her wonder what kind of man that was and what led him on that encounter. "Fascinating, so you were on a journey to travel the world went to visit your mother, wound up getting lost and meeting a woman, went to Kaminari no Kuni got attacked and then left for the sea once more only to wind up here?” the girl would say recounting the tale with a chuckle, as she matched his gaze a soft smile on her face. "It's quite the tale, I'm honestly left with more questions than answers." she'd say.

Another self-satisfied "Hehe...~" sounded at her question.

Kika Island was great! "There's all kinds of cool animals and stuff there." Looking to the girl again he brought a mitten up to his face, tugging on the left side a bit to showcase the scar under his eye. "A giant boar gave me this when I was a kid! Almost took me out, too. My sis had to step in save me." Eiji's smile did not match his words. Most kids might've been scarred from such an experience. Not this knucklehead though. "When I got older I went back and beat the big guy up! Named him Buta and now he's scared of me." Another giggle followed his tale as his eyes closed in a grin. It'd been a long time since he saw that old pig... had to be huge by now! "But... Kika's too small for me." He said, punching one of his mitten'd hands with the other. A devious sparkle twinkled in his eyes. "I want everything!" Eiji's abstract, impossible goal. What did it mean? Knowing him... probably something wild.

The boy turned his head towards the fire, reaching out to warm his hands. Hadn't seen Sora in forever either... where was she?

Not with her dad, he thought. Like him she was never dreamed of being a ninja. Maybe she was traveling too? "Mm..." A sound escaped his throat as she recounted his story. Eiji's head tilted back and forth listening to the details. After she was done he looked to her, smiled and give a big nod. "Pretty much!" Jun saying that she was left with more questions than answers made him laugh again. "Me too." He said, his mouth scrunching up a bit as his eyes drifted upward in thought. "Never knew the world outside of Kika Island could be so confusing." To other folks, Eiji probably came off as a bit of bumpkin. Even lived on a mountain back home. Thankfully he wasn't as simple as he came off. "How about you, Jun?" He would ask the girl in turn, his large eyes moving back down to lock onto hers. "Where ya from?" A genuine curiosity shone behind his dark irises. As if waiting for some thrilling answer.

Learning was always fun! If his travels taught him anything it was that he'd been missing out on a whole lot.

[attr="class","skullbody"]The young boy would speak on Kika island going over how there were quite a few interesting animals and also a story as to how a giant boar nearly took him out and that his step sister had to come in and save him. She kept a smile on her face wow’ed by his story her reaction not exactly matching the usual he was safe which was good but what kind of boar must he have fought and remarked as to how his sister had to stop in and save him.

"That sounds amazing! We’re you scared it didn’t hurt you did it?” she seemed wow’ed by his tale enthralled by his story. After her questions he’d remark about how he had beaten the boar up and gave him and name and now how it was scared of him. "You bested him all on your own? How did you do it!” the girl wondered as he continued to spin his yarn.

As the conversation continued he’d state that he Kikia island was too small for him he seemed to be rather adamant about this endeavor he stated that he wanted everything. She wasn’t fully sure what everything meant but he seemed to have such strong convictions and the girl found it amusing he was quite spirited. "Lovely, I wish you the best!” As his tale continued Jun would make her remarks it of itself and it prompted the boy to laugh that she still had questions.

He stated that he never knew the world outside of the island was so confusing. "I understand the sentiment, I’ve left my land quite a few times and the vastness of the world it can be quite an adventure.” she’d state recalling her own travels on shinobi business from her old home in Hoshigakure to Ushio near the land of fire. As she seemed to have her own thoughts she’d warm herself up by the fire and would hear him ask her where she was from she wasn’t fully certain how far back he was asking but was careful about the information that she revealed.

"Just a simple migrant, my family and I moved here from Bear country after we were pushed from our land some years ago and migrated here to Yuki no Kuni.” the girl would state her words were a bit soft when recalling the betrayal incident she tries not to let it get to her but when she thinks on it, it does make her sad at times having to recall such an incident.
