Tsukimono absolutely hated the idea of this being the only way to meet with his boss. In a more all encompassing sentiment, he hated the idea of meeting with his boss at all. There were few, if any, that truly struck fear in the heart of Tsukimono, but Kurei had always managed exactly that somehow. It wasn't a matter of power, it wasn't like he hadn't been in the room with some incredibly strong individuals. This woman just seemed to have an aura that implied even one wrong move would lead to his immediate "discharge" from Root. Especially since she knew the secrets of the seal placed on his tongue as well.
And yet tonight, the two each had roles to play. Tsukimono, as he had gotten used to over the years, needed to keep up his persona has a true madman. A yakuza lieutenant who would just as quickly have a drink with you as smash the bottle over your head. A ladies man constantly surrounded by party girls and various levels of women ill concerned with their modesty. It was making tonights mission unfortunately complicated. The two needed to justify being close to one another, with no one listening in.
It was integral that Tsukimono was far from the eyes of Anbu. So a place well in the outskirts, on the border of an allied nation like the Sand. Light monitoring in the first place, with extra space gifted by Kurei taking over the patrols of this particular stretch. The two would have plenty of time to talk without the eyes of Anbu. But Tsukimono had to worry about his own image. If anyone caught him speaking with a Shinobi, the rumors of being a traitor to the family could easily inflate. So Kurei had to disguise who she was. She wasn't a shinobi, someone that would draw attention. Instead she was a character that sure, everyone acknowledge, but no one truly looked in the eyes. A piece of arm candy for the top guy in the room.
Which is how this bar was chosen. A place loved by the low lives of the borders, while his family didn't yet have territory here, nor did the clan they represented, the name of his clan still carried a lot of respect. And the legends of the Mad Dog did have at least some pull in the criminal underbelly. So while some eyes would certainly be on them, they'd be hidden in plain sight. The actual nature of their relationship, and the subject of their conversation, would be easily hidden. All Tsukimono needed to do now was wait for the Tyrant to meet him outside the bar.
