More recently in time however, worrying evidence seems to amount to that there is a presence of some sort, like noises and unexplained damage during the night. It doesn't appear that there was any foul play as there were no external injuries, but out of Kusagakure's 'benevolence fund' - find out who the item belonged to, and deliver this important keepsake to them. Safeguarding Kusa I MISSION RANK: C NPC REQUIREMENT: Optional PARTICIPANTS: At least 2, up to 4 DESCRIPTION: It is of no surprise that Nohara no Kuni is a small size, and therefore it is of little surprise that its land is valuable for what it needs to produce. In that effect, the Daimyo has set out a safety-net, that is, the creation of various safeguarding measures across the country. They are generally quite safe endeavours but the circumstances could be dangerous. Examples could include digging advance trenches that prevent the spread of fires against their own crops, with a danger of wildlife, or thugs that might try to intimidate them. There could be stockpiling of medicine in areas of the country for immediate use in life saving treatment for civilians, but also making it theft-proof and protecting against those who would take advantage of the surplus. Mushroomed Rice MISSION RANK: B NPC REQUIREMENT: Optional PARTICIPANTS: At least 2, up to 4 DESCRIPTION: It has been noted from a previous mission that grain from silos were being tested as positive for harm-causing bacteria. After both research and investigation, it was concluded that someone has entered Chimamire no kinoko no mori [Bloody Mushroom Forest] and taken fungal spores and implanted them to grow inside the silos, causing the grain to go bad. See if there is any merit to the claims, and deal with any threads to Kusagakure no Sato. Unlike some of those safety measures which provide some minor benefit to its citizens and the protection of the country's strategic objectives, more serious safeguarding measures have been given to the higher-ranked military. Examples could could be ensuring that towns and villages have appropriate levels of democracy and authority so that in event of retreats and evacuation everybody knows their stations: but that other people would try to take advantage of this and have been unfairly trying to institute more authoritarian rule: this isn't how Nohara no Kuni operates. *repeatable High difficulty missions. Protect the Courtier! MISSION RANK: A NPC REQUIREMENT: Yes PARTICIPANTS: At least 3, up to 4 DESCRIPTION: A courtier in the Daimyo's court is rumored to be impregnated by Kusagakure's Daimyo. While this cannot be verified, a mission has been paid for by an unknown party to protect this particular woman against an unknown threat, as it was alleged this person was nearly assassinated by a narrow margin, and only protected by a narrow escape into a well populated building. Potentially covering a period of time, shadow the courtier, protect them, and end the reign of terror holding the courtier in a grip of fear.
