The moment the katana slipped from Touwa’s grasp, Nari pulled back Hisuiyuri and settled into a relaxed stance. The younger boy was done, as was obvious by the shake in his limbs and solidified when he sank to the ground.

He spun the spear and returned it to its holster on his back, wiping the beads of sweat from his own forehead with his freehand. While not at Touwa’s level of exhaustion, Nari was definitely feeling the effects of the spar. "Good job, Touwa. You definitely kept me on my toes."

He was happy. It had been a good bout and the younger boy was practically causing his ego to grow with each word of praise. But Touwa was also feeling some doubts towards his own Life Blade and their bond. Well, that wouldn’t do.

"I’m sure you and Ruiteki will be great together," he said, offering his hand out to pull the younger boy to his feet. "It took me and Hisuiyuri a long time of training together to get to the point we’re at, and we still have a long way to go."

They may be good together, but Nari was under no illusions that he was at his best. There was always room for improvement and that’s why he loved to train with his spear. It allowed him to bond with the spear more and also improve how he wielded it. Even an easy fight like this one led to a small improvement and made it worth the effort.

"While I support training with the katana, you do actually need to train with Ruiteki to be able to bond with them. They’re a bell, right? Have you tried genjutsu, you can use sounds to make illusions or something maybe." It was only a thought, but it's the only one that Nari could think of that would work with a bell.

• Hisuiyuri[break]
  『Life Blade Chakra』As all Life Blades, Hisuiyuri absorbs Nari's chakra continuously as he carries it around, stacking up a decent amount of chakra inside of itself equal to half its wielder's chakra pool. The chakra becomes Hisuiyuri's and cannot be accessed by anyone other than the spear, allowing it to have the ability to self-repair small nicks and scratches it may obtain during combat.

  It also allows Hisuiyuri to have its own built-in security in case someone other than Nari grabs onto it. Using its futon chakra, sharp blades of wind will strike at the stranger's hands and arms until they release the spear. These gouges are minor cuts but they do sting quite a bit if they manage to hit skin.

  When entering combat, Hisuiyuri will use its own stores to fuel its abilities until it runs out and then will begin taking from Narihira. Thanks to his deeper-than-average chakra pools the wielder and weapon are able to go for a decent length of time-fighting in that state, but eventually, it will cause Nari to lose consciousness if the spear takes too much chakra.[break][break]
  『Flying Jades』Using its natural affinity to fūton, Hisuiyuri is able to detach the six small jade points that line the sides of its spearhead and allow them to hover. By sacrificing the shredding ability the points usually grant the spear, Narihira is able to fire them off either one-by-one or all at once towards his opponents.

  At it's current skill level, Hisuiyuri's points move at a speed slightly quicker than a regular thrown kunai, due to being powered by fūton chakra and Narihira's able to control the path the points take up to 30m.

• Kaze ni Saru [Leaves on the Wind][break]
  Narihira coats Hisuiyuri's Jade Daggers in fūton-infused chakra greatly increasing their cutting power and speed. The daggers are now capable of seamlessly cutting deep gouges into rock and iron and move much quicker, easily outpacing shinobi that haven't trained in physical specialties such as taijutsu and bukijutsu.

• 『Zanjutsu』[break]
  A young member of the scattered Araikettei Clan, Narihira has the ability to wield the strange and powerful Life Blades. He created his own Blade at a young age, under the tutelage of his mother, however, instead of making a sword as was common for the Clan members, Narihira designed his in the shape of a polearm.

  Giving it the name Hisuiyuri, he began learning to properly wield it from the moment he could hold it. Due to the connection the blade shares with him, should it ever be broken, both Narihora and the blade's soul would die, so he keeps it on his person at all times and cares for it meticulously.
• 『Deep Chakra Pool』[break]
  Narihira was lucky to be born with a deeper-than-average chakra pool. It allows him to fight and use jutsu for longer periods of time before he tires, compared to those with average-sized chakra pools. It's especially useful for him, due to the fact that his Life Blade is constantly absorbing chakra from him. But thanks to the depth of his stores, he never feels the strain from that drain unless he has depleted the polearm's stores in combat.
• 『Acrodancer』[break]
  Training has granted Narihira impeccable control over his body and muscles, to the point that he appears as if he might be dancing around his opponents with ease. Whether spinning around in close combat, leaping up over an attack, or flipping out the way, Narihira's gymnastics make him a slippery foe that few have hopes of landing a hit upon.

Touwa accepted Narihira's outstretched hand, grateful for the assistance in getting back to his feet. He wiped the remaining sweat from his brow with his forearm, trying to regain his composure as he listened to Narihira's encouraging words.

"Thank you, Nari-san," Touwa replied, his exhaustion giving way to a sense of accomplishment. The spar had been challenging, but he had learned from it, and that was what mattered most to him. He took a moment to catch his breath, steadying himself on his feet.

Narihira's mention of training with Ruiteki resonated with Touwa. He nodded in agreement, realizing that he needed to devote more time and effort to forging a stronger bond with his lifeblade. "You're right, Nari-san. I do need to spend more time training with Ruiteki and exploring the possibilities of our bond. I haven't tried Genjutsu yet, but it's worth a shot. Perhaps the sound of the bell can be used creatively in illusions."

He glanced at Ruiteki, securely fastened to his belt. The bell's surface gleamed with a faint azure hue as if responding to their conversation. Touwa couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of determination to unlock Ruiteki's potential and achieve the kind of synergy he had witnessed between Narihira and Hisuiyuri.

"I appreciate your advice, Nari-san," Touwa said as he picked up his belongings, "but I have to go now, Nari-san. I'm hoping we can spar again." He said this as he bowed and walked away.

The Araikettei clan's KKG allows the user to obtain and wield the Life Blade - Ruiteki. The blade has its own consciousness and is capable of acting on its own. Regardless, Touwa and his Life Blade are inextricably linked to life and death. When one dies, the other dies, and thus anyone who is not Touwa is unable to wield the weapon.
