Dance of the Demons

The explosion ripped through the wounded men and they fell silent, along with one of their chakra signatures. The other didn’t seem to be moving, and their signature seemed to wax and wane.

"Huh? Where’d he go?” the goggled lookout muttered as he scanned left and right through the mist with his lenses. He grit his teeth, and started to feel worried. His ears were still ringing from the explosion, and he couldn’t hear his friends.

Most of the sailors who didn’t have shinobi training had booked it off the island to retreat in their long boats. He knew that the captain and he ensemble would be arriving soon, and that if he could just hold out for a short time they might be able to survive this just yet.

"Hey, if you are out there, lets talk!” he yelled out. "I’mma small fry, you’ve gonna ' bigger things to worry about. You want to know what's coming yes? Kondoru will tell all, in exchange for his life.”

The ship traveled about five hundred more meters forward in the water. It was now about two and a half kilometers out from the island.

A wall of coral shot up and sent the smaller Ama reeling back, pushing backwards quick enough to dodge as spikes shot out of it. The transformed Ama, wounded and much larger, stood little chance to dodge the attack that ripped through her body. Not entirely killed outright, but cruelly stapples to the coral, the fish’s body thrrashed about in the water.

The tiger sharks were sent into a frenzy by the movement. All three of them began moving at their maximum speeds and latched onto part of the Ama, chewing through the flesh until the transformation itself broke, and then chewing through her human form which was unrecognizeable by the time it happened.

The surviving Ama with red hair made three hand seals and blew a bubble in the water that took on her form. She then thrust a strange capsule that she was wearing into the clone, and the bubble clone started to turn an off purple color. It sped towards Toru. If it got close enough, the large quantity of drowsiness poison inside would be popped, which could put him to sleep if he ingested enough of it while filtering the water.

Sensing one of her kin’s chakra fade away, the pale haired Ama went into overdrive traveling as fast as she could. She jettisoned herself forward with ninjutsu, and arrived thirty meters out from Toru, and about ten meters canted to the right of her sister. Both of them had looks of hatred fixated on Toru.

As Zaizen was climbing to the upper levels to get to the chakra signature above him he felt the chakra signatures of the two he used explosive tags on prior to climbing higher, only to feel that one of the signatures has disappeared, the other wasn't doing as great and would likely be the same soon, for now though as Zaizen reached the upper levels heading to the chakra signature above him he felt himself getting closer to its presence once close enough Zaizen could hear a man talking to him saying that he had more important things to worry about, which likely was true as up to know the competition had not been great. Though Zaizen did have some troubles on the water initially, due to not being a water fighter mainly as Zaizen's strength was fighting on land. The man spoke asking for his life to be spared, but really that wasn't an option the man really didn't need to know Zaizen's intentions, the mission was clear destroy all those that dare tarnish Kiri's name.

After listening to the man speak, Zaizen before he revealed himself pulled out another Kunai and explosive tag, putting them together life before to make a kunai with an explosive tag attached Zaizen hid the weapon underneath his arm as he revealed himself from the blindside of the mist to the man. "You best start talking then, time is not on your side." He said to the man." Who is approaching in the boat, I want details fast. Zaizen demanded from the man. It would be unwise for the man to run as he couldn't outrun Zaizen, and would be unwise to attack Zaizen as he could just use his clan abilities so really had nothing to fear from this man, if he was wise he would spill before Zaizen decides to speed up the process.

The ability to detect/sense other's presence by their chakra. Zaizen is particularly skilled at sensing other individuals, capable of sensing/tracking a chakra signature over five kilometers. He could also discern between various populations, capable of pinpointing their country of origin. It was this very ability that enabled him to know that his son's killer derived from Konohagakure. Zaizens also has the ability to sense passively for a one kilometer range without the need to concentrate a great deal. It can be used to sense if his natural senses were blocked somehow.

He can also sense his immediate surroundings at all times, this in conjunction with his quick reflexes allows him increase his evasion rate.

[God-Like Chakra Control Prowess]

It's difficult to describe his control over his chakra. It is as if the chakra itself is his very breath. He can manipulate it to such a degree that every technique is perfectly executed with zero wasted chakra yet potent enough that the maximum potential of that technique is always released.

Zaizen is quick. His dashing movement mimics shunshin no jutsu, and while utilizing Shunshin no Jutsu, his speed reaches a level rarely seen, due to few being able to see it. It isn't an understatement to say he is one of, if not, the fastest Kirigakure shinobi of his generation. While most focus on training speed & strength to an certain degree, he excelled in training his speed and stamina. Capable of traveling long distances in little time without breaks. This movements translates to his maneuverability as well. The speed at which he punches, kicks, dodges, flips, and dashes are what his entire physical conditioning is about - reaching optimal speed in every aspect of combat. Due to his speed, he was dubbed: [Mist's Bullet].

[Silent Killing Mastery]

Steps hold no sound, breath holds no sound, existence can disappear at will. That which makes us shinobi is the fact that a majority of their task takes place in the shadows, and Zaizen has refined and perfected the craft of stealth, lurking within the shadows, hiding one's presence, and covering one's tracks. He can even slow his heartbeat to a near halt, decreasing his body need for oxygen, and hiding his very beat within silence.

As one trained within the shadows, and exemplifying the existence of being one, he is arguably the greatest stealth assassin in his Kirigakure holding the title of ANBU Captain and more. If compared to all in the world, he may just be within the tops. It's even been noted that in a battle of sheer silence, not even the trained Kirigakure can match his lack of presence. This coupled with his physical capabilities is why he's regarded as the [Ghost of the Mist]. He kills at such a speed and moves with no evidence of his existence that one never knows they were killed until he's behind them with a blade in their heart. Even while in actual direct combat, if he's not in view, his presence is impossible to detect via sound no matter how skilled.

Both instinctual & conscience reflexes are beyond staggering. It is this coupled with his speed that he's reached his level of command. There was a hint of remorse, if only because the Ama were a clan part of Kirigakure. These three could have been saved. But they were attacking him and upon that the remorse was quick to fade. Toru was born and then subsequently molded into a killer. Death was not something he was exceedingly sad about it had happened plenty of times around him. So much so that he no longer felt much for it.

The bubble clone came and Toru maneuvered off to the side, though the heat and width of his cloak would likely nick the bubble just right releasing the poison into the water. Fortunately, Toru's cloak was also boiling hot so it would bubble up any liquid and cause it to in fact spit back out as a bubble into the water to rise to the surface instead of being filtered by Toru himself.

Still, not wanting to hang around in what was essentially noxious underwater gas turning into contained bubbles once more he sped himself forward towards the duo. If only to last minute fake them out, dive underneath and have one of those chakra arms to lash out to grab onto them both in an attempt to slam them quite hard into the sea floor. If he could make them bleed the sharks would return with a vengeance for more feasting.

When a Tailed Beast or Jinchuuriki taps reaches into their Version 1 Chakra Cloak, they are capable of using the bubbling chakra which surrounds them as an extension of their body. These chakra appendages can be freely manipulated for almost an infinite distance as a result of its lack of joints. Additionally, they can surge at opponents at speeds that even the most highly trained of shinobi would have trouble reacting to. These appendages can grow in size and form, but only those who have control of at least half of their form (starting at Version 2 Chakra Cloak) can create any number of chakra arms they desire from any part of their body. Just like the original chakra arms, these extra arms can be used as grappling hooks, for grabbing opponents/objects, defense, or offensively. Unlike the original arms, these chakra arms are much thicker, and darker as a result of Version 2's advanced nature. For those who have minimal control, all chakra arms will always cause burns to those who contact them. (can be made cool for those with good amount of control). They were speaking rapidly. Seeming to have no problem spilling the beans to preserve his own hide. A bead of sweat dropped down from his headgear.

"Then there is Kenta. First mate. Biggest and baddest of the Wokou. Never seen him use any ninjutsu, but he leaves ‘em looking like an animal got to em when he’s done. Wears claws for weapons—

Then there’s the music man. The new guy came to us a year ago. Captain be showing him favorites making him an officer without putting much time in. Knows a lot of water magic, but won’t show Kondoru any tricks.”

The ship was closing in at two kilometers. Zaizen would notice that the ship itself began to become enveloped in a thick mist. Someone on board knew the jutsu of the village.

With Toru’s movements both Ama began trying to swim away. The first chakra arm caught the red haired Ama. There was a bubbling scream beneath the water as her spine cracked against the ocean floor. She flailed around without reason, and one of the tiger sharks took interest and began swimming towards her.

The pale haired Ama managed to make the seals to body flicker away, appearing closer to where Toru had come from. Her eyes seethed with anger as she watched the shark grab her sister and pull her away.

She began moving towards Toru, forming five more hand seals along the way. There was a sudden azure blue spark that emanated from her body as she released an electrical pulse into the water. The Ama herself grit her teeth and shook as the electricity coursed through her body, but it extended beyond her and throughout the nearby water as well. The shock caused the tiger shark to let go of the other Ama, whose convulsing did nothing but worsen her shattered spine, solidifying that she wouldn’t be surviving the encounter even if death would take some time.

Toru would be in range of the electrical shock as well.

The little bit of pressure that Zaizen had put on from revealing himself to the enemy before him had caused the man before him to start talking about the incoming threat he had warned Zaizen about beforehand. It just showed Zaizen that this man could not be trusted as he was spilling information one after the other and there was a risk of letting him go could do the same for Zaizen and Toru, though his information would be limited as the man really didn't see much for him to give away. Though alerting the others of Zaizen and Toru's presence would be a bad position to find themselves in. " So three new targets. Well it seems you have lived up to your end of the bargain, you are free to go..." With Zaizen finishing his speech to the man he started to turn his body then in a flash he would turn back towards the man and throw the hidden kunai with the explosive tag at the man, likely not expecting it Zaizen would detonate it, with Zaizen at this close range it would likely damage Zaizen except that he had his clan abilities. As he threw the Kunai Zaizen increased his body mass in the blink of an eye which would make him temporarily indestructible so a blast from an explosive tag wouldn't do anything to Zaizen as he couldn't move and took the blast along with the man before him. Zaizen seriously needed to probably get the information he knew to the Mizukage as soon as possible. As it would be important later on. Zaizen knew that it was going to be harder from here on out.

There was not a lot of time to react, and Toru would have reacted but he realized that whatever the Ama had just conjured would not hurt him too bad. Firstly it clearly did not affect her much, and he had pretty good skin to make sure he didn't take a lot of exterior damage. So the worst that would happen was he would feel the pain from the surge and that would be about it. So he took the brunt of it, his shroud and then his tough skin protecting him from the immediate shockwave, it still hurt, his muscles tensing for a moment.

Though, once that moment passed he swam forward as quickly as he possibly good - which was a touch slower following the shock but quickly gaining speed once more. He was heading for the Ama, laser focused. She could swim away, but he wondered how much more could she go. She was not here earlier, had she been fighting Zaizen? He knew he could outlast her in chakra, perhaps he could not swim as fast but he was definitely fast and definitely still had plenty of juice to keep going.

As he approached - assuming he was encroaching upon her - he would focus a bit of chakra to perform the blindingly fast beheading technique in an attempt to put down his third enemy and be able to rejoin Zaizen on shore.

The user performs a quick and powerful slash with their sword, appearing almost like a blur, in order to cur the intended target before immediately resheating the blade afterwards. In the hands of the right user, this attack can even cut clean through a boulder.

"Thank you for your mercy, I will not take it for granted,” the man said. He turned to start climbing down his tower when a kunai buried into his back. He let out a cry, "But you sa—”

The explosion rocked the tower and began falling like a domino. As the pieces fell on the ground, Zaizen’s armor would protect him from the impact of the fall. He’d have little difficulty pushing through the wooden rubble and making his way back towards Toru in the waters behind him, though it was likely if he did make the whole trip, the pirates would make it to the Island in that time. As of now they were closing on a kilometer and a half away. He’d have to make a decision on whether he wanted to stay on the Island and hold it down or commit to going into the water to meet the kage. He would be able to sense the last presence of another shinobi lifeform in the water around Toru’s signature fade away.

Meanwhile, Toru and the Ama had recovered from the effects of the electric shock, though neither of them horribly injured. She began making hand seals for an even greater feat of electrical power, but the mizukage moved swiftly enough through the water to cut her down. Her head was severed but briefly held together by water pressure before the body unceremoniously floated away from it. Had the tiger sharks not been full, save for the one that died from electrical shock, they might have come back for her. Countless reef sharks still swam around, perhaps a small risk for bites that might harm an inexperience shinobi, but harmless to Toru’s armor.

Zaizen felt the tower he and the man had been on collapsing under his feet as he still remained bulked up from using his clan abilities to take the explosive tag damage head-on, but as his footing underneath him came away the man he had been talking to prior had been blown up so that problem had been dealt with. As Zaizen was falling with the rubble from the tower he immediately switch to his incorporeal form through his clan abilities as the rumble came tumbling down on Zaizen it simply passed through the man like he wasn't then landed on a large rock on the cliff face he propelled himself forward enough to get clear of the damage he had caused landing on the ground clear of the rubble. At this time deactivating his clan abilities in order to give them ample time to recharge as he had not used them for a great length of time so the wait time would not be as long.

From his standing position on the ground, Zaizen needed to his concentration to use his sensory abilities to scan the area around him at greater range, as he concentrated he felt the chakra signatures around him. First, he could sense three chakra signatures coming his way to the Island assuming the man he had just killed was telling the truth that seemed to be them. They were just over a kilometer out from the Island. Next Zaizen scanned the area where the Mizukage had been last and only felt one chakra signature in his last known vicinity, focusing a bit more he knew it was likely the Mizukage as his sensory allowed Zaizen to tell a person's signature where they were from, he didn't get the same feeling from the others. Feeling the Signature he felt a presence from Kirigakure and was most likely the Mizukage. Zaizen had an import decision to make, he needed to relay the information to the Mizukage as soon as possible. Zaizen either needed to meet the Mizukage halfway or stay where he was and hold off the enemy till he got here as he had the foothold on the Island now so had the upper hand.

Zaizen had made the choice he would decide to wait for the Mizukage to arrive and if need be buy time for him to arrive. Zaizen still had the element of surprise though, so for now he would go hide in the mist and in doing so he hide behind a large rock inland from the beach that way he would be able to track the chakra signatures heading to the Island while keeping his presence hidden.

There was something quite morbid about the way the woman's head popped off of her body and ultimately floated away. Toru waited, a moment as if in anticipation that she might have replaced herself with something nearby. That there would be a continuation of the battle. But there was not. And with the sharks full, they seemed to ignore the fresh body that was floating which meant that Toru was in the clear to draw breath above the waves. Which is what he did.

The young leader swam to the top as quickly as he could, his chakra shroud fading away quickly the moment he came up onto the surface. There was an acrid smell in the air, of fog and explosive force. But also blood, Zaizen's scent was still present however which meant that he was not the one part of that bloody smell. Toru pulled himself up onto the water's surface and moved through the mist towards Zaizen scent until he would arrive behind the rock in the fog where the man had gone into hiding.

"Apologies for the wait... Sharks." Toru was also clearly a bit soaked - though only a bit since his shroud had been able to boil a lot of the water out of him until he had reached the top thus soaking him in those last moments before he had surfaced - which meant he had been fighting underwater. He shook his head to get some of the water droplets out.

"Any updates? You took care of the enemies nearby...?" It was a mostly rhetorical question since by the silence and scent all around it was pretty easy to assume that no one was around.

Except - unless - Toru would be able to see the ship coming in nearby.

In which case he would articulate quickly thereafter -

"We should probably halt their approach."

SHADOWS IN THE FOG

When Zaizen went to focus his chakra on the ship in the distance, he found only two chakra signatures. Both of them were strong signatures, likely around the level one would expect of jounin. As he waited the ship moved within a kilometer of the shore, and Toru would also be able to see it as he arrived.

Then, the visual of the ship's approach would also begin to fade as mist started to envelope it. One of the two figures aboard was using the village’s famed jutsu, and it seemed as if the fight that was coming would be fought without sight. It would be a test of the shinobi’s other senses in a rare clash of those trained to fight under such conditions. Such combats hadn’t occurred frequently since the civil war.

Suddenly, on the far end of the island, off the end of the incline of the cliffside, a chakra signature became noticeable. Toru would notice the smell of pungent wet onions coming from the opposite side of the beach, somewhere in the mist on the shallow end of the island.

The sound of a wooden flute piped through the air from that origin point about fifty meters away, played a series of shrill notes, and then afterwards, the chakra signature disappeared.

The entire island itself was no bigger than four-hundred meters in length. Based on the pace of the advancing ship, it seemed like they only had a few rotations of time to investigate the mysterious sounds and smells before the arrival of more enemies.

Zaizen had continued to maintain his chakra sensing behind the rock hidden in the mist as he waited for Toru to arrive, Zaizen had took care of the enemy squad guarding the beach which served as the enemy artillery squad based on their previous actions though they didn't really last all that long as Zaizen dispatched them in a timely manner. Zaizen picked up that the new threat approaching them as the enemy ship came within the one-kilometer range, now they were this close Zaizen didn't have to focus on tracking them anymore and could passively sense them within this range. Then he felt what he assumed was the Mizukage's chakra signature as it approached Zaizen just hiding behind the rock Toru making himself known to Zaizen. He could see the Mizukage had been wet with water likely meaning he had been fighting underwater for a period of time, though it made sense with the Mizukage's abilities. Zaizen personally was a land fighter but could adapt within reason.

The chakra signatures on the ship Zaizen could sense the presence of two of them, then for a moment could sense another chakra signature close by but it disappeared shortly after, meaning the enemy close to them was likely using a hidden ability though the sound of the music made Zaizen remember the information that the man spilled to him before being killed by Zaizen. He would first update the Mizukage on events that had happened as that was most important currently. Moving from behind the rock Zaizen would face the Mizukage and speak. Yes, I have some new information Mizukage. I managed to dispatch the enemy on this island prior to your arrival, I believed they were supposed to be an artillery team but dispatched them with no major problems. There are further enemies approaching us as we speak, I have some information about them revealed from one of the enemies I fought. There are three new enemies with chakra signatures there are two on the ship right now heading this way and I sensed for a moment another close by. Of the two on the ship I believe one is a Yuki named Yuki Ichika she is supposed to be the one in charge, and another is a man called Kenta who likes to fight with claw-like weapons. I believe these two are on the ship while the music is coming from another enemy who likes to use water ninjutsu." After the information revealed to Toru Zaizen would use the moment to catch his breath before focusing on Toru likely waiting for instructions as he was in charge of the mission and may Zaizen to focus on a particular task instead of just charging ahead.

Likely they would have to investigate the sounds and the smells coming from around them first, Zaizen wasn't really worried about the ship as he can passively track them coming towards the island and can adjust accordingly, this music man did seem to be a mystery. Maybe the Mizukage knew more information about this enemy maybe something from a clan not really known to Zaizen. For now, though it was best if there was another 'Zaizen' as he focused his chakra into forming a shadow clone after forming a single hand sign. " Kage Bunshin no Jutsu [Shadow Clone Technique] then a shadow clone of Zaizen puffed so it appeared right next to him, this could allow Zaizen to search both locations at once. Zaizen originally had used the hidden mist technique, but it seemed to have been strengthened once more likely from someone from the ship had used it.

Toru listened to Zaizen as he shared the information so they had quite a few potential enemies to deal with... Then a pungent onion smell became rather present and Toru uncharacteristically made a face, putting a hand up to his nose for a second. It was wet and strong. Not a thing one wanted to experience, but he would have to deal with it. Furthermore there was something suspiciously familiar about that smell... Water jutsu? If what Zaizen had said was correct they would need Raiton. It suddenly occurred to him that this could be someone he had known when he was younger and lower rank... Had his file slipped his desk somehow? He hoped he was wrong.

After all he had experience with such an onion smell with one person before and it was not at any merchant stand.

The Mizukage looked towards Zaizen and then over his shoulder.

"I will go towards the flute sound," If it was genjutsu, Toru and Isobu might be able to handle it better than Zaizen's set of skills which were a great deal more physical. Zaizen on the other hand, had more Raiton whereas Toru had not yet mastered any such techniques which would make fighting who Toru suspected MUCH easier.

"Go towards the other, I suppose once you get close enough it will smell like onions... If my suspicions are correct it is a Hozuki, in which case you are more skilled in Raiton than I." It was a basic plan, but there was not a lot they could do. Toru pointed in the direction of where the onion smell was coming from in case there was some kind of sensor scramble coming through. It was hard to tell anything in the situation, all bases had to be covered.

"Keep track of the ship, if they get too close or disembark, give a shrill whistle. If you can tell they are approaching OUR ship? We need to address it immediately."

And with that said, Toru took off into the thick mist, focusing on his sense of smell passively to try and catch the flute player, not that it mattered he heard where it was coming from and so he was moving towards that direction regardless because it was the main thing that he had to go off of.

SHADOWS IN THE FOG

As each of the shinobi spoke, a ringing sound started to hum in their ears. They would manage to finish their conversation, but it kept growing louder until it reached an agitating pitch that could make one want to scratch their ears out. This would extend to the shadow clone made by Zaizen as well. Finally, Isobu would be able to detect a foreign chakra within Toru’s body: a telltale sign of genjutsu.

It was Toru who would have the nose to seek the exact locations of the onion smell, rather than Zaizen, and so whichever Zaizen went searching the narrow side of the island would take quite some time to find them in the haze of the fog. There, cast on the shore, was an onion split in half floating in the coastline.

Toru coming towards the origin of the flute sound towards the side of the island that rose up from the sea. As he neared the cliffside, more notes would begin to pipe if he could hear them, seemingly coming from the waters beneath the cliff. The mist rising up from the cliff would take on a mint green hue, and if Toru were to breath it they may recognize the jutsu as mist pollution. If his hearing was in tune, he’d definitely know that the origin of the jutsu came from beneath him. (And for a moment, Zaizen would sense someone there again).

Zaizen would also sense both of the figure disembark the ship. They began sprinting towards the mist along the water. They were about five hundred meters away and split up, one signature moving towards Zaizen and the other towards the center of the island.

Using the the mist jutsu as a base the user of this jutsu will disperse mist into a specific area, they will also coat the mist with several chemicals and elements from within the surrounding environment. Anyone caught within this "polluted" mist will feel seasick while they are within the mist. Seasickness caused waves of nausea, vertigo, blurred vision, and intense headaches which are very hard to fight with. Once the mist is cleared or the target(s) leave the mist the seasickness wears off immediately.

After listening to Toru speak about him heading for the flute sound and Zaizen going to the smell that Toru was addressed as onions though it did smell slightly Zaizen couldn't fully smell it at this distance not like Toru skills could, as Toru pointed in the rough direction of the smell was coming from Zaizen would take note of this and would remember the rough direction. Toru figured it might be a Hozuki that was behind the smell and the flute and signalled out Zaizen as a potential counter due to his knowledge of Raiton chakra nature as it proved to be a problem for Hozuki, they had formed somewhat of a plan, but Zaizen knew better than most plans almost never worked out the way you want them to. Toru also mentioned to Zaizen to keep a track of the chakra signatures on the ship that were headed in their direction and to signal Toru with a whistle.

After the conversation between Toru and Zaizen had ended, Toru headed out towards the flute sound in one direction leaving Zaizen and his clone to manage the smell coming from the other direction but as he was about to head out, a high-pitched sound came to meet Zaizen's ears while at first it was manageable as he and his clone started to move in the direction of the smell, the high pitch sound became louder and more annoying as it messed with Zaizen's hearing while he didn't stop moving he noticed the difference in his hearing. It was ringing his and the clones hearing for sure. It was strange that it came out of nowhere so suddenly after hearing the sounds before, but it did not happen right away. Zaizen would then form so hand sign's along with his clone to test a theory he had in mind. After forming the handsign's chakra would flood his body as did his clones as he used Kai to break free from the genjutsu used. This confirmed Zaizen's suspicions as what gave it away is that it took a little longer for the sound to become a problem for his hearing, if it had been a natural sound it would have hurt him right away. Knowing this information now Zaizen a least knew genjutsu could be used going forward caution was needed.

After he and his clone moved forward through the mist toward the smell it would get stronger as both of them approached it until they finally could smell it well enough at this range to tell it was indeed an onion smell as Zaizen and the clone could see it split in half on floating on the coastline, it seems as if this was a trap to keep Zaizen and Toru split from one another. Then Zaizen would be able to track a signature appear once again one that he had sensed before when he could hear the music from before close to Toru's location it seemed someone was playing cat and mouse with Zaizen and Toru. Zaizen would also sense the chakra signatures from the boat start to get closer to the Island. With that in mind, Zaizen would focus his lips in doing so he blew air between them to form a large whistle enough so Toru would know that the enemy was heading this way. Zaizen would leave his clone where it was hoping that it would intercept the chakra signature that had been heading his way and the real Zaizen would double back and head toward Toru's direction. The clone would likely buy time for Zaizen and Toru to deal with the flute sound. The other chakra signature was heading towards the center of the Island and seemed a lower priority in the threats needing to be dealt with at that moment.

He kills at such a speed and moves with no evidence of his existence that one never knows they were killed until he's behind them with a blade in their heart. Even while in actual direct combat, if he's not in view, his presence is impossible to detect via sound no matter how skilled.

Both instinctual & conscience reflexes are beyond staggering. It is this coupled with his speed that he's reached his level of command. He reacts to stimuli almost instantaneously, this gives him ample time to give a reply. There isn't much that can dash out of his vision without him knowing, or strike him directly where he can't react. It is due to this and his Kekkei Genkai that his level of evasion is top class.

DESCRIPTION:
The Kage Bunshin technique evenly distributes your chakra between one or more clones with form and substance.

The clones created by this technique are able to utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows, has all of their special abilities, as well as their kekkei genkai. Typically a clone's equipment doesn't retain any special abilities and the clone itself is dispersed when hit with a single attack or incapacitated, although the clone can also choose to disperse itself or be dispersed by the user.

Toru-chan, something is inside us, ugh! So irritating!

Toru could not help but really scratch at his ears, he couldn't really do anything about it and scratching at his ear yielded nothing because of how durable his skin was even with his own nails digging into the canal. It was clear and pure irritation on the young man's features as he came upon the cliffside and another few notes were played. The young leader noted the green and held his breath before he dropped himself down from the cliff and into the water below towards where he had heard the sound. Doing so would allow him to avoid the mist pollution technique entirely and hopefully find the individual who was causing the genjutsu that was making his ears so damn itchy. It was extremely painful, and there was nothing he could really do about it other than continue forward and act. He knew it was genjutsu, and while he could cast it with a powerful burst of bijuu chakra, he felt it was unnecessary in the moment if he could just locate the source and put the source down before it could continue on with these ridiculous illusions.

For now, Toru had to hold his breath again in the cool dark waters, looking around. He didn't need to inhale yet...

But then he heard the shrill whistle, just barely from the top of the waves. The young man formed a few hand seals and created a shadow clone, it popped out of the waves and ran for Zaizen's location.

DESCRIPTION:
A mix of the elemental cloning techniques and the standard Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, the user creates a clone out of flames, which takes on the exact appearance of the one casting the technique. Because these clones are Shadow Clones, they retain the ability to think, react and perform techniques on their own, with independent chakra systems. When struck however, these clones explode in a large inferno, presumably burning all around it and setting alight anything in the area.
