With a light sway from her hips and a rather relaxed demeanor, Kunikunosaku had only one thought, Why did I agree to this, again? The Mikatakujira thought back to her academy days, it took forever to become a Genin, the hours were long and boring, very few subjects interested her. She struggled with concepts of chakra and jutsu, funny how now, one could consider her one of the best at Ninjutsu. It still felt like a waste of time helping children when she herself got no help. Not for ninjutsu, not for chakra, not for whatever she has become. It just didn't seem at all fair to her, and yet, she was here, walking the halls of the Academy. The adolescent approached the classroom and merely rolled her head, she truly wasn't expecting much. a bunch of entitled children expecting the easiest track of mastery. Kuni debated if she should make it extremely easy or difficult to react to. Entering the room, she noticed it felt uncannily silent, like something was waiting for her.

She was certain it was just someone was in there anticipating her arrival. Pushing the doorway to the side, she almost touch the anticipation. It felt wrong, very wrong. The white-haired Kunoichi looked at the desks and kids as she entered. She wasn't familiar with any of them, but she wondered how many were familiar with her. Fishing for a reaction, be it cheerful or fearful, Kunikunosaku allowed the black tendrils to escape her right arm, poking through her skin and flailing like angered snakes. She took more steps into the classroom, before giving a graceful bow. "Hello all, I am Mikatakujira Kunikunosaku, apprentice to the Mikatakujira clan and a Special Jōnin." She didn't even bother trying to smile or be happy. It was insincere to everyone. She placed her hands together, one atop the other like she was pressing her palms together in a horizontal clap.

"Who here can tell me in your own words what we are doing today and why are we doing it?" The kunoichi was definitely going to make these kids think, whether they wanted to or not.

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

Symbiotic Bond: Strong Mind, Strong Body
As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

Power of a God:
After a great time learning how to control Jiongu, Kunikunosaku has learned to store chakra in each of her threads so long as they continue to be attached to at least one of her hearts. This extra storage capacity allows the girl to amass greater amounts of chakra within herself, expanding her reserves beyond that of the normal shinobi her rank. As with many other abilities, this ability continues to grow as the girl does through the ranks and years.

Cursed Master:

As a reward for attaining a greater deal of control over her symbiotic relationship with Jiongu, Kunikunosaku acquired the keys to the gate of mastering her abilities. This new boon allows Kunikunosaku to double the impact of her EGF ninjutsu. In addition, a passive boon is the ability to completely negate Jiongu's manipulation to consume more hearts. These boons together allow Kuni to further manipulate Jiongu against its basic natures, improving her unique utilization. While still young and unrefined, the ability is expected to grow as their bond deepens to even further levels.

Medical Knowledge:

Being from Takigakure's prestigious clan medical clan, Kunikunosaku is also set to learn the human anatomy, biology, and Kinesthetics, While this knowledge DOES NOT give her access to Medical Ninjutsu Techniques, however, the knowledge does unlock abilities of precision to the human body with every attack. This knowledge grants field combat medic aid but nowhere near the degree of those actually trained in it.

Ask and someone will answer, the push and pull of a classroom. Kunikunosaku missed absolutely none of it, yet she was ever the more knowledgeable to be teacher worthy. After all, she completely BSed a school assembly on a foreign nation in a foreign country while on a vacation. And the kids were enthusiastic. A boy raised his hand, calling out, and Kuni said nothing. Yet it was clear that she'd allow him to speak as her eyes locked to his figure. Slow nods as if to encourage him to speak, despite knowing her gaze has actually stopped some people from talking. As the boy spoke, a warm smile formed as the Kunoichi's facial expressions softened. She let out a small hum and nodded. "Precisely." Her eyes stayed on him as some of the black threads pulled back into her. The boy spoke some more, diving into even the concepts of the technique and why it was important. Kunikunosaku raised her eyebrows, both surprised and impressed.

By the time he was finished with the second explanation, the threads on her arm had entirely retreated and she was making a soft, slow clap of applause. The Kunoichi raised a hand up at him, using her hand to wave him to the front. "You. Here. What's your name? You're going to help me demonstrate and teach this jutsu. You're going to teach yourself at this rate." In truth, Kuni did need at least someone to demonstrate this jutsu, but someone this knowledgable was of use. "Kurumi, you too, come on." Kuni stated much to the confused chatter of some students. Prior to a soft chirp of "Whatever." A rather relaxed, and well-kept girl appeared to rise from her seat before making her to the front. "Mom told me you're a meanie." "Tell my bratty cousin that this meanie is going to get their kid through school." "You mean it?" Kunikunosaku made a small smile before responding. "Whatever."

"Now, you two, try to explain how the Nawanuke jutsu works to each other." Kuni simply stated as she made her way to the student's actual teacher's desk, pulling out rope from one of the inner cabinets.

He observed the unexpected arrival of another student, a girl named Mitakujira Kurumi, who seemed to have a familial connection to the teacher. Though Touwa didn't interact with Kurumi much, as most of his friends were boys from the class, he was open to working with her for this demonstration.

Approaching Kurumi, Touwa took hold of the rope that Kunikunosaku had previously retrieved from the teacher's desk. With unwavering determination in his voice, he suggested, "Why don't you try tying me up?" Extending the rope towards Kurumi, he offered her an active role in the lesson.

As Kurumi began to secure the rope, Touwa maintained a composed posture, fully focused on the technique they were about to showcase. Another one. Kunikunosaku thought as Touwa came forward. He was damn smart and Kunikunosaku was impressed, as this seemed to be a trend of Tokonatsu children she encountered. Keyword children, she is unsure if she met any Tokonatsu above a student. The boy and the girl came up to the front of the class and Kunikunosaku watched as Touwa gave the rope she retrieved to Kurumi. Kurumi nodded at the directions he gave and tied the boy up. The complex knots she used were concerning to Kunikunosaku. She had to wonder if she learned the art of Shibari which made her question why someone so young was studying Shibari. Still, she remained silent and watched the boy explain it. Kuni silently nodded as he gave the explanation. She flashed a glance at Kurumi, a slight smile on her face. Kuni knew the boy overlooked a functionality check and she wanted to see them deflate in courage. Failure humbles people. The Mikatakujira Kunoichi watched as the boy struggled and she watched as Kurumi giggled.

"Kurumi, do you have any theories Touwa could try to get out of the rope?" Kunikunosaku asked, forcing the students to solve the issues. "Uh... isn't this jutsu a hard one to demonstrate? It works better when you're alone, right?" The older Kunoichi nodded and looked at Touwa. "How do you demonstrate a Jutsu that works better alone to a group, Tokonatsu-san?" Kunikunosaku didn't explain, rather she guided the children to teach themselves, makes the organic learning process natural and gives them the critical thinking response they need to develop better training methodologies. Did she like taking a more backseat teaching? Yes, but mainly as she had to force herself to learn on her on.

It gave her the skills needed to learn so many jutsus and expand her horizons better than most shinobi her rank.

Kunikunosaku nodded agreeingly to Touwa's answer. He was on the right path of thinking. But, it wasn't the right answer, at least not yet. The Kunoichi did see the reasoning of trying to understand the knots in order to solve the issue, however, the solution was right in front of Touwa. Kunikunosaku realized she inadvertently gave the solution by asking how one demonstrates a jutsu that works best alone to a group. Kunikunosaku stated nothing, she was unsure if Kurumi got it either. She was both smart and an airhead. A common trait of Mikatakujira children. The guest instructor stood idly by, taking in Touwa's answer and nodding as if it was correct. In fact, she truly believed having them figure it out on their own was the best way to learn, there was one problem. He wasn't really opening the floor. "Go ahead, do whatever you think is the best way to learn and engage." Kurumi just narrowed her brows as she stared at Kuni as if she was analyzing her behavior to get an answer.

"Touwa-san... are you getting frustrated?" Kurumi asked innocently as she once again adjusted the knots. She didn't look at his eyes, rather, she solely focused on making sure the knots were snug and not tight to cause injury but still significantly tighter than average knots. "Don't forget to ask questions, ask for feedback. Not only are they your audience, but they're also your peers, everyone is trying to learn the same thing, so the thoughts of many outweigh one." While the Kunoichi enjoyed the meticulous nature of Touwa, she understood his narrow FOV was what hindered him. It was a major component that could mean the difference between success and failure. Luckily, no lives were at stake here. So, trial and error was something Kuni was cool with, that is until they were running the bell.

"Hey, why do you think Kuni mentioned it was best done alone?" Kurumi asked herself silently, a few whispers in the class went back and forth, but no one really spoke up, the only one talking was Touwa and it didn't help Kuni's resting face was a blank pokerface. But to be fair, she was trying to make it hard.

"When you're by yourself, you have to trust what you notice and figure out problems on your own. But in a group, you can learn from what others see. You might catch stuff you missed. But at the end of it all, when you're actually stuck in knots, you're the one who has to escape, so you've gotta know how."

Kunikunosaku continued to keep observations of the students, she kept quiet while she focused on their personal interactions. Kurumi waited to see what Touwa thought and his take was insightful. It went to an angle she didn't think of and part of her just felt bad for not thinking about it. She wondered what knots restricted what movements more and thus what were harder to get out. It was interesting that some jutsu just required some knowledge. Behind her desk, Kunikunosaku placed her hand on her back, palm facing out as black threads slowly snaked out and created a body behind her. It was a slow process, or at least the way she was going about it. While the clone was forming, Kunikunosaku kept watch on the two kids. Well, the entire class but specifically the demonstrators. Kurumi's knots, despite being well, were easily wiggled out of when they were asked the question. The created clone stood up and walked over to the duo. "Don't mind her, she's just going to help you deliver. Kurumi, help eh... me when I need it." The girl was understandably confused momentarily before nodding prior to gathering the rope from Touwa.

The original rose from her seat and looked at the class. "Touwa-san gave beautiful explanations and expressed invaluable ways of thinking. But, he did miss something that makes this a jutsu. Does anyone know what that is?" A confused mumbling resonated through the crowd before a sole child stood from his seat near the back. "Does it have anything to do with chakra?" Kunikunosaku nodded agreeingly. "Yes class, this is a ninjutsu and ninjutsu requires chakra. If this was a taijutsu, that would be different, hate to be the bearer of bad news but you won't be facing junior camp scouts when you grow up." The black clone took the rope from Kurumi and showed her how to tie Constrictor knots, bowline, sheet bend, and utilizing two half hitches to bind Touwa in knot just any knots, but the kind that will tighten themselves the more you struggle. The original Kunikunosaku pulled Kurumi aside and gave her a flash bomb. "When Touwa is having too much trouble, keep your eyes closed tight, and tell him to rip them off before throwing this on the ground. Do not look at him for at least two minutes, think you can do that?" Kurumi nodded silently as she grabbed the flash bomb.

The clone looked over Touwa once more before nodding. "Real drill, arms bound over and crossing behind your head. and knot ties them to your ankles bound together. Your quadriceps are tied to your shins which loops around the binding knot of your hands and feet behind your back. The more you struggle, the tighter your arms get and the smaller the space between your arms and feet get. You will feel pressure on your quads and shins, that's because, like your arms and legs, they have that self-tightening knot. Class is over in twenty so try to get out in ten or less, okay?" The clone slowly ripped apart in black threads as they raced back to Kuni. "Kurumi, do you think this is difficult enough?" A moment of silence followed before a scared voice. "Why are you doing this?"

By expelling some of her their threads a user will create a rough clone of themselves. They have a lifespan of roughly three posts, and can be made in fairly large numbers. Along with being able to be made in large numbers, the clones are able to use their threads to wrap and skewer opponents before they dissipate. Like many elemental clones they are unable to use anything bar Taijutsu. When the clones either dissipate or are destroyed any surviving threads will attempt to return to the user.

Touwa took a deep breath as he found himself once again bound in a complex, self-tightening knot. The challenge had escalated significantly, and the pressure on his quads and shins was already noticeable. The realization that he would need to rely on his chakra to escape this predicament added an extra layer of complexity to the task.

As he began to concentrate on channeling his chakra, he thought back to Kunikunosaku-sensei's question about what made this a ninjutsu. It was clear now – the infusion of chakra was the missing piece. With his eyes closed tight to avoid the flash bomb's effects, he focused on his chakra circulation, feeling the energy flow through his body.

Touwa continued to concentrate, letting his chakra flow through his limbs, carefully trying to undo the knots without making them tighten further. Kunikunosaku just had her eyes on Touwa. The self-tightening knots are dangerous for exactly the namesake. If he struggled too much, she'll need to cut him free before he could cause bodily harm to himself. If he was to do that. Kunikunosaku didn't know how her superiors would react. A flash of movement occurred from Kurumi and the Special Jōnin initiated the world's slowest blink as she listened to the container cracking. There was surprise from the greater group of the sudden implosion of light, but, she just knew that it had to be done. Hearing rope snap, Kunikunosaku re-opened her eyes to see most of the class was still disoriented. Kunikunosaku clicked her teeth and even her cousin stood at attention despite still shaking the disorientation off. "When you guys can see, look at Touwa and think about how he did it." Kunikunosaku stated in a rather calm tone, similar to her earlier demeanor when walking in. "Take the words of Tokonatsu-san to heart, and know that the key is your chakra flow. It goes through your body and you can utilize it with certain jutsu. Your body is a conduit of your energy. Know your body and you know what you can do." Kunikunosaku stood up prior to pulling out a bag of candy from a desk drawer, placing it on her desk.

"Touwa-san, good job taking the lead and enlightening your peers with your words. Kurumi-chan, thank you for aiding your peer. Everyone, thank you for taking the time to learn your lessons. You all get a small sweet, take one, and thank each other for being there for each other." Kunikunosaku stood in front of Touwa and bowed to him, then to Kurumi, then the class. "We still have a few more minutes, so compose yourself. Talk among each other, ask questions, and relax before your regular teacher comes back to dismiss us." Kunikunosaku watched as kids would commune with each other and come retrieve a small treat. "Thank you Touwa." Groups of students would rotate to thank the young boy. Others would brainstorm, realizing that the jutsu needs a distraction. Which could arguably be true. Kurumi walked up to her cousin. "Why did we need the flash bomb?" Kuni looked at her cousin, "We didn't. He did... you can't perform the jutsu with people watching you." A pause from Kurumi came before a gasp. "That's why you said it works better alone." Kunikunosaku merely nodded. "Go tell the others why it worked." As the minutes passed down to the last seconds, the Special Jōnin waited with the students.

Kuni stood up, pointing at Kurumi. "If you need me again, or want me to help you out, ask Kurumi. Maybe, I'll find some time but until then, keep working hard." The primary teacher came in and merely clapped and thanked the kunoichi for making the time to visit and teach the kids. "No, Tokonatsu Touwa did the teaching, I just helped him." Kuni would say as she turned to the boy and flashed a meek half grin before bowing at the teacher and leaving. Th Mikatakujira wanted the kids to succeed and with students like Touwa, maybe they had a chance all graduating at the same time, or at least, that's what she hoped. Touwa... isn't like other kids, he isn't just a student, but a role model. She hoped all students strived to be like him or better, because right now. Takigakure needs the very best.

Jiongu | Earth Grudge Fear

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

Symbiotic Bond: Strong Mind, Strong Body
As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

Power of a God:
After a great time learning how to control Jiongu, Kunikunosaku has learned to store chakra in each of her threads so long as they continue to be attached to at least one of her hearts. This extra storage capacity allows the girl to amass greater amounts of chakra within herself, expanding her reserves beyond that of the normal shinobi her rank. As with many other abilities, this ability continues to grow as the girl does through the ranks and years.

Cursed Master:

As a reward for attaining a greater deal of control over her symbiotic relationship with Jiongu, Kunikunosaku acquired the keys to the gate of mastering her abilities. This new boon allows Kunikunosaku to double the impact of her EGF ninjutsu. In addition, a passive boon is the ability to completely negate Jiongu's manipulation to consume more hearts. These boons together allow Kuni to further manipulate Jiongu against its basic natures, improving her unique utilization. While still young and unrefined, the ability is expected to grow as their bond deepens to even further levels.

Medical Knowledge:

Being from Takigakure's prestigious clan medical clan, Kunikunosaku is also set to learn the human anatomy, biology, and Kinesthetics, While this knowledge DOES NOT give her access to Medical Ninjutsu Techniques, however, the knowledge does unlock abilities of precision to the human body with every attack. This knowledge grants field combat medic aid but nowhere near the degree of those actually trained in it.

Relief, pride, and a sense of responsibility all welled up inside him. "Thank you, Kunikunosaku-sensei," he said with a grateful smile. "And thank you, Kurumi, for your quick thinking and assistance."
