Shouki Clan Fuinjutsu NAME: Doku Kumo Fuin [Poison Cloud Seal] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low CLASSIFICATION: Fuuinjutsu ELEMENT: None HANDSEALS: One REQUIREMENT: Shouki Clan DESCRIPTION: This technique allows the user to draw a seal on a non-living object, and store gaseous poison within it. The user must choose whether the seal is activated manually or automatically. Manual activation is achieved by the user forming a handsign within 25 meters of the seal, while automatic activation is caused by an object of sufficient size passing nearby. Upon activation, the poison stored inside the seal is violently released, rapidly expanding into a cloud 5 meters in diameter. While the seal preserves the poison, it only lasts for a few minutes before the poison loses its effects and becomes inert. NAME: Doku Kuwaeru Fuin [Poison Adding Seal ] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low CLASSIFICATION: Fuinjutsu ELEMENT: None HANDSEALS: None REQUIREMENT: Shouki Clan DESCRIPTION: This technique is designed to be paired with a main seal that stores bladed weaponry. When the blades are drawn or launched from the main seal, they are coated in a liquid poison. The user of this seal must touch it to add the poison, so any techniques which release bladed weapons at a distance must be prepared with poison before their activation. The seal preserves the poison for a few minutes before it becomes inert. NAME: Hebi Fuin [Snake Seal] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Medium CLASSIFICATION: Fuinjutsu ELEMENT: None HANDSEALS: One REQUIREMENT: Shouki Clan DESCRIPTION: The user prepares a seal on any non-living surface, and charges it with a liquid poison. They decide if the seal will activate manually or automatically. Manual activation requires the user to form a handsign within 25 meters of the seal, while automatic activation is caused by an object or creature of sufficient size moving nearby the seal. Upon activation, 5 snakes formed of liquid poison burst from the seal and attempt to bite and poison the nearest target. NAME: Shouki Hitei Suru Norowareta Fuin [Miasma Negating Cursed Seal] RANK: B CHAKRA USAGE: Medium CLASSIFICATION: Fuuinjutsu ELEMENT: None HANDSEALS: None REQUIREMENT: Shouki Clan DESCRIPTION: A forbidden technique that has been rediscovered half a dozen times, when this seal is inscribed on a creature's neck, the creature becomes able to breathe within the gaseous poisons of the Shouki clan. The seals are a complex array, several lines deep, and take even the fastest scribe at least a minute to prepare. When activated, the seal acts like a gas mask, protecting its bearer from inhaled poisons originating from the Shouki clan for several hours. The seal is imperfect, however, and ordinary poisons unrelated to Shouki clan techniques pass unchallenged. Liquid poisons of all types are also unaffected. Obviously, if the seal is applied after the subject is exposed to poison, it will not cure them or protect them from the effects of the poison. When this seal is applied to a member of the Shouki clan, however, the effects are more extreme. The sealed clan member becomes unable to expel poisonous gas through their throat, delaying or negating many of their techniques. The scribe can even connect the seal to those remaining from the Dokuyoke, causing it to last permanently, until it is removed by another expert. It is this application of the technique that has caused it to become a forbidden jutsu by the clan.
