[Senju Minazawa]

Minazawa was back on the scene and she was looking to make a considerable mark in the mission activity of Konoha. So, with that said, she got to work with many different people from different backgrounds. From the Uchiha to now the Hyuuga. She'd looked up basic information about her partner today, but she didn't need to delve to odeeply. The Hyuuga clan were famous in Konoha for their tracking and sensory abilities, as well as their prowess in martial arts. Meanwhile for Minazawa? She was a generalist, yes, but decently skilled when it came to the use of the Mokuton. Good for suppression and restraint. 

"Tatata. Shuriken. Check. Kunai. Check. Katana...Check." She found herself exiting the Yawning Cat inn, seated along the ground as she firmly ties her headband. She looked every bit like a professional ninja would. As she walked, her sandals lightly kicking the small pebbles and stones along the road way, she waited for her teammate for this mission. Before taking the liberty to greet them. A small curl upwards of the lips as her amber honey eyes gaze upon the woman before her. "Good morning. My name is Senju Minazawa. It's nice to meet you. Let's work hard today and do our best." She said it in a bright and uplifting tone, but not brazen or outwardly brash. It was a gentle excitement.

She wore a white shinobi dress, lightly adorned with stripes of brown and blue sleeves. The hem stopping just above the knees. her sword resting along her back, and kunai holsters on either thigh and a hip pouch located on her let side for easy access. "Shall we go?" The hope of making a new friend and connection was always a good one. Especially for the friendly Senju standing before the Hyuuga before them.

524 words Senju Minazawa full coveralls

Raika yawns as she approaches the Yawning Cat Inn and nearly bumps into the much shorter girl walking down the road, with the Hyuuga woman having to look down, and down, and down to be able to see the one who introduces herself as Minazawa. It doesn't help that the Hyuuga in question is a bit over six feet tall, and she's having to look down a full foot to see the other woman's face. While she was normally seen wearing just a tank top and those baggy workpants around town with the rest of the coveralls wrapped around her waist, since she was outside of Konoha, Raika had taken to wearing the full coveralls with the Konoha emblem worn a bit tighter around her neck so that the symbol was visible. Even with the coveralls hiding most of her skin, the curvaceousness of her body was still visible. The clothing mostly just hid how muscular she was, and kept her Hung Gar rings from view for others; anyone who saw the extremely tall woman might not even know she was any different from any of the other members of the Hyuuga clan, save that her eyes were an odd lavender color and her hair was slightly asymmetrical in that while her hair was currently in a ponytail, she'd left one bang to hang down over the right side of her face. As it was, her hands were stuffed into the hip pockets, with the dark gray coveralls making her feel like she's being cooked inside a cloth oven. While she was very ready to be out of the suit, Raika was at least aware that it might take them a while and they had to at least start with putting their best foot forward in this small village.

"Hi Senju Minazawa... I'm gonna call you Mini for short, if that's okay. I'm Hyuuga Raika, but you can call me Raika since we're working together."

Whereas Minazawa's introduction had been somewhat formal, Raika's was... certainly not that. Not that it was the Hyuuga's fault; after five years in Kawa Village, there wasn't a lot of formality left in the older woman. At least this genin wasn't as young as one of the Chuunin she'd met. She still looked like someone she could pick up and carry across her shoulders in a piggyback ride, and she very nearly did when she suggested that they go and start. Instead, Raika simply brushes the bang back into place when it starts to slide forward across her face.

"Let's get to it!"

Raika starts off walking at her normal pace, but almost immediately slows down when she remembers that she's actually walking with a teammate and isn't just going off on her own like she's done for several years already. The lawlessness of Kawa had necessitated a fast gait, but now she could take her time a little more, maybe even have a real conversation with this Senju person. She'd heard of the Senju clan, of course, but never knowingly met one in person. Raika wasn't quite impressed. But that could change over the course of their mission.

The Hyuuga that stood before her was absolutely huge. The tallest woman she'd ever seen. And she'd met a few Akimichi women before. They could grow to be quite big. Blink. Blink. "Mini?..." She felt her head dip as purple lines came to grow over her head. Oh. She was insulting her for her height. That made her feel like a worm, as if she should crawl into the earth. She smiled, with an evident depressed look in her eyes for a moment, before she'd perk up. "Hai. Raika-Chan." She says, warming up the idea of calling her by her first name. As they make their way through?

She was about to sprint to keep up, only for Raika to slow down marginally. "I'll be relying on you to let me know if you see anything with your Byakugan." She said firmly, before announcing to her. "I'm skilled at using the Mokuton, so if you see anything bad going down? I can bind and lock people up." She found herself glad that she didn't need to be particularly formal with the Hyuuga before her. She'd heard they had a reputation for having had "sticks up their asses" according to some. While that might be true for some? She didn't imagine that was all true. Minazawa sought to travel along the main road. Clearly seen by all those.

Civilians. Merchants. Otherwise. Turning to wave at the small children or passerbys. Smiling brightly, her eyes scanning the horizon as she sought to ensure that any and all that might be more violent prone would at least know that the ninja of Konoha were within clear vision.

538 words Senju Minazawa PUNCH A PUNK!

Raika gives the much shorter girl a great big smile, despite the apparent unhappiness with the nickname at first. Maybe it'd grow on the Senju girl... It was odd, she'd heard that the Senju were actually quite imposing, but this girl almost looked like a child at her height. Well... maybe a young teenager would be closer to her size. The Hyuuga looks around at the actual children, and although all of them look small for her, she's at least able to tell that most of the children are actually shorter than Minazawa. In fact, maybe about the same difference in size between herself and Minazawa. But it's a funny reaction to a friendly nickname, so she decides it's best to leave the nickname as it is for now.

"Yeah, Mini. On account of you being so small."

As Raika walks, she listens intently to Minazawa's plan, and she rather likes the sound of it, although she's a bit impressed that Mokuton can apparently bind people down. It makes sense, actually, with how hard wood can be. Wordlessly, Raika activates her Byakugan, extending her sight in nearly every direction for the greatest possible distance, standing tall like a tower. Her lavender eyes are overtaken by the white of the Byakugan, and the veins at both temples stand out while blood is pumped to her eyes and their muscles to greatly improve her ability to see.

"Sounds like a plan to me!"

Raika herself hadn't actually heard of many other reputations about the Senju; she'd heard that they could use wood the way some ninja could use the earth or water for jutsu, and that they had really long lives, but that was about all she knew about them. It at least seems that Minazawa was incredibly friendly to all of the villagers, and although she wasn't really used to it, Raika gave a few of the civilians a few waves as well. With her Byakugan active, she didn't really need to turn her head to look at them, but she knew from experience in Kawa that if you didn't look directly at someone, they'd be awfully uncomfortable. Then again, Kawa didn't have any laughing, playing children.

"All right people! We're from Konoha and we're here to help! We're gonna make sure this town is sa-!"

The genin suddenly pauses in her speech, and raises her left arm to point directly to the left, speaking much more quietly so only Minazawa can hear her instead of speaking with a booming voice that was meant for all of the villagers to hear.

"Punk in that direction, 50 meters, trying to break into someone's house by kicking the door in. 5'8", slim build, wearing all black with some billed cap rotated backwards."

Immediately after pointing him out, Raika begins moving in that direction, rapidly but silently, which might be somewhat surprising at her size, but her footfalls are remarkably quiet for being made with combat boots instead of the typical soft-sole ninja shoes that most Konoha nin would have worn out to a mission. Then again, in a village this small, crimes was unlikely to be rampant, so Raika had thought it unlikely that she'd be seeing any kind of combat.

[Senju Minazawa]

When they walked together, and she looked at those tensed veins in the eyes, she could see them. How eerie it was that the nerves could be tensed to such a degree. Though she didn't say anything. Up until she mentioned someone trying to break into a home. Some half a football field's length of distance. Must have been on an adjacent street. Minazawa swiftly follows after her, and considering their speed, they'd be there likely in less than a minute. Though. As Raika sought to remain quiet? Minazawa would slowly form a few set of handseals then. Suddenly? A long wooden spike bursts from Minazawa's shoulder.

Another set of handseals, and Minazawa's right hand seemingly morphs, twists, and grows outward into a tall wooden heater shield. With her left hand, she rips the spike out of her shoulder, which she manipulates into more of a sort of club than a sword. About two some feet long. An incredibly unnerving thing for someone to look at if they'd never seen something like that before. She didn't need much initiative from Raika, for she proceeds to step forth in her short glory. Her club pointed outward as the lanky figure kicks at the door of a home. "You there. Stop right there criminal scum! Stop in the name of the law!" Holding her shield in front of her, club half raised?

"You have committed crimes against Hi no Kuni and her people. How do you plead?!" There was a moment of pause for a moment? Before the criminal began to tilt their head. It was a ninja, but this girl was pretty damn short. Didn't look intimidating. Though...Upon seeing their seven foot compatriot? They were swiftly tempted to make a break for it. Not having moved yet. "I ain't doin' nothin'. Honest."

321 words Senju Minazawa beat-em-up

Raika seems just fine with letting Minazawa give her own orders to the punk, because she's remaining silent for now, allowing the shorter girl threaten him with a club and shield. Her eyes had allowed her to see Minazawa forming the wood from her own body before pulling it free to form her club as well as her right hand shifting in its shape to form into a tall shield, and it had actually been both interesting and just a little bit repulsive in watching her body change in such a way. It's just as much that she simply allows Minazawa to take charge of the situation as it is that she's trying not to have a moment of nausea from being able to see something like that in her fully focused vision without having any possibility of looking away from the body horror. Eventually, she's able to recover, just in time for their quarry to try and state that he "wasn't doing nothing".

"Maybe you want to try and explain why it's not how it looks, then..."

At this point, Raika begins tugging open the top half of her coveralls, exposing her intense musculature since she's wearing only a black tank top on her upper body, and she lets the upper half of the coveralls fall from her back to expose her heavily toned arms as well, with the silvery metallic rings around her wrists, deceptively heavy and dense around each wrist as she brings both hands up in a slightly combative stance. The dark-haired woman speaks to Minazawa through the side of her mouth, softly.

"Keep back; I don't see anyone nearby that might be his accomplice, but let's not rule it out."

Raika starts her approach towards the punk, beginning slow, but ready to turn each step into a hard sprint if he should turn and cut to a run, and her arms prepared for any physical assault.

When Raika seemed more willing to handle the home invader in question, she found herself looking on ahead as the tall Hyuuga made their way forward. The invader in question raises their hand in question. "No. No. No. No. No! Wait! Wait Wait! Wait!" They call out, beginning to circle around the house as the big woman comes at him. Slowly, as Minazawa steps around the other end. Standing there to block the fellow and corner him as she raises her shield. "Don't try to run away. It won't end well for you." With a Hyuuga to their back and a Minazawa with a club to their front and a makeshift riot shield. It didn't look good either way. 

"This is complete harassment you know?! Absolute harassment. I ain't doin' nothin'!" They try to justify as they proceed to look about, thinking on the best course of action. Before deciding to probably fuck with the worse of the two. Grasping a small trashcan, he hugs the body in question, and thrusts his arms outward, throwing out a bunch of trash towards the big Hyuuga. Attempting to do the big funny. Rushing towards them with a battle cry of "ARAHAHAHAHARHAHRA!" To try to dunk the trashcan over their head soon afterwards. He was a true advocate for gender equality and would dropkick a woman if he had to. He would do what he had to do! 

As Minazawa begins to dash in closer into the alleyway to beat the absolute living fuck out of this man. Depending on how this went down. It seemed like Raika and her little Senju friend had an absolute beatdown to deliver.

403 words Senju Minazawa oh no she mad

Raika approaches the punk without fear, her eyes wide with anger with her eyebrows furrowed, giving her a nearly crazed look that would likely make anyone that knows her well to be rather worried about the coming beat down. At the very least, the punk seems smart enough to choose running over fighting, at least at first, until the punk ends up cornered by the fence and between the two approaching women. The statement about how he's being "harassed" only gets Raika even more angry, and she grips her own hand, popping her knuckles threateningly before the stranger lifts up the trash can. The Hyuga immediately moves into a fighting stance, slightly dropping her hips for a lower center of gravity. Unfortunately, the shorter punk is overestimating his own height compared to her own, and the raised trash can is really not even a threat at all for the dark-haired woman. As a matter of fact...

Raika raises her left arm straight up, palm forwards, and without even a stumble, she manages to block the trash can from reaching above her 6'3" body, which causes all of the trash to fall on the punk himself, instead. With the poor fool now likely confused and distracted by being covered in trash, Raika follows up immediately with a straight, hard punch directly to the stomach of the shorter man, putting all her strength into the strike to lift his feet up off the ground in the power of the punch.

"Don't you dare puke on my shoes, either! And you're gonna clean up this trash, right?! That was assault and battery, and you're gonna take the punishment for it!"

With a quick thrust forwards with her left hand, she pushes the trash can backwards from its upright position; if the punk didn't let the trash can go, the momentum of the push would likely cause him to fall backwards, although it was likely that he had dropped the can from the initial strike. As it was, Raika stood tall again, crossing her arms across her chest; although her stance was no longer giving the appearance of readiness for direct combat, her hard body was flexing nearly everywhere, prepared to smash any limb into him if the punk tries anything more. For the moment, she didn't really look in Minazawa's direction, as she trusts the Senju to be able to take care of herself as well.

Smack. There was a strange feeling. The sensation of needing to vomit once slammed straight in the stomach with a punch after having the lid of the trashcan drop and topple garbage all over himself. Man what a shitty situation this was proving to be. As her fist twists and lifts him up off of the ground, he finds himself keeling over, his bandana dropping from his face. Before then just as she warns the man not to do? He instinctively proceeds to keel and vomit straight on the floor. Which where if the Hyuuga wasn't swift enough? Would likely indeed be on their shoes.

"I-ei, Iei." Minazawa calls out with a sweatdrop. This really was a pretty pitiful thing to see overall. Wasn't it? Proceeding to look the homebreaker over, she proceeds to watch him over, and taps him on the back with her club. "Get to cleaning. Gambatte. Gambatte." She felt he could do it. So within a moment or two after catching their breath? Assuming Raika didn't in fact beat the absolute living shit out of this man further. He'd get to work. Beginning to scoop up the garbage and beginning to put it inside. Before she looks the older Hyuuga over. As if to confirm if they indeed were going to imprison the guy afterwards. Or what they were going to do here.

"We're going to need to take you down to the station in a little bit here...Yeah. Sorry." Minazawa says with a bit of a nervous sweatdrop. Not wanting to be much near the guy. Considering, well, he smelled pretty nasty gross right about now. "You know how it is."

Raika's nose curls at first when the punk starts to puke, but she at least pulls back enough to just let him upchuck right on the ground and avoiding getting her combat boots all covered in whatever he'd eaten that day. She'd given a warning, but making the man puke with a single punch would likely be enough punishment for now for his attempt at an attack on her. Not that it was really much of an assault, since the Hyuuga hadn't felt much fear in his wild attempt to get her away from him. She keeps her arms crossed as she steps back to give him enough room to clean up his own mess. He's likely both in pain and feeling a little out of it after being hit hard enough to make him lose his lunch, and although she feels no pity for someone trying to attack her when she only wanted him to give up and even just explain the situation, she does at least understand how he feels; she'd been given a greeting that was similar on first arriving in Kawa. Minazawa explains that they're going to have to take him down to the station, and Raika glares at the punk in response, her facial expression clearly showing that she'd rather force him to go at least three rounds with her, even without the weighted rings that were currently on her ankles. Of course, the genin wasn't really interested in that kind of thing right now, especially when he'd already been brought low by a single strike.

"At least it was a small fry. Not like I expect anything particularly big from such a small village; the occasional drunken skirmish, maybe a thief at most. The bigger a city becomes, the more deadly the crimes become."

Raika shrugs a little, despite sounding like she's speaking from experience, which she is. But there's no need to explain such a thing to Minazawa, she feels. Raika waits for the man to clean up his mess, and he seems to have at least regained some of his composure, because he's able to somewhat stumble on his own when the Hyuuga physically lifts him up from his sitting position on the ground by one of his arms. She makes sure to gingerly return the trash can to its rightful place before gripping his arm in a clutch like a bear trap, dragging him away to the small police building, the kind that was typically mostly used to holding people who had had a little too much to drink. Thankfully, the punk had already done all of his puking earlier, so he was unlikely to do much more of it inside his holding cell.

"There ya go, boys. He's all yours."

[Senju Minazawa]

It felt weird how easy it was to take someone down wasn't it? Blink. "I've never had to deal with either." Minazawa confesses, when hearing about a skirmish, or thief. "Have you traveled often?" That left her wondering what the big town was. However, they they head out, and see to it he's dropped off? She looked at how strong and powerful Raika was. Nothing surprising for a Hyuuga of course, but it was an incredibly strange thought at a surface glance. Until he was handed in. A quick thank you and look of appreciation. Minazawa or "Mini" as she was referred to, would walk by Raika's side on their patrol route again.

At least the home intruder got to leave with his life. Even if he was going to get some jail time, he could live and learn from those mistakes. Avoid repeating them in the future. Would get to stew and repent. That man was probably living a much better life. The next meal he had would probably be the sweetest and best meal he'd ever had. That man's freedom would be far more treasured and valued once getting out of it. Because he could have died today. As they walked, the small Senju found herself slowly turning her head towards her then. To Raika.

"Sorry I wasn't the most helpful. I'm...still learning."

407 words Senju Minazawa C-rank mission: 12/15

Raika is a little bit surprised that Mini apparently hasn't ever dealt with a skirmish or a thief, and she wonders if Konoha is really as cozy and comfy as it seems to be, if Mini hasn't ever had to deal with either of those things. When she'd been in Konoha, she had been young, and likely wouldn't have known such struggles, but after living for so many years in Kawa, she'd become easily accustomed to such things and the violence of the village that was almost practically a deadly hive of scum and villainy. Then she's asked if she travels often, and her memory is brought firmly to Kawa, causing her eyes to lose a bit of focus as she physically sees her past actions, harsh things done purely for the sake of survival in a place that the Hyuuga had sent her to in order to let her disappear. She comes back quickly, but not so quickly that there's no pregnant pause in the middle of their conversation.

"I've been to some places, you could say that much. The occasional small rural town, and I've been to the larger village of Kawa, which is big enough to have big problems, but too small to really do anything about those problems."

The Hyuuga felt that this was explanation enough, apparently, because she didn't say much more about Kawa, apparently wanting to leave that part of her life behind, at least for the time being. As it is, the Genin feels a lot better after the successful hand-off, and although the village is small and she doesn't suspect that much more might happen during their patrol, she heads back out to the streets between the smaller border town houses with Mini. This is when she's surprised by the apology from the shorter girl.

" Ehhhhhhh? Don't be ridiculous, you were a lot of help. If you hadn't been around, he probably could have outrun me if he really thought about it, and if he did manage to surprise me, you were right there to step in, so I felt confident enough to really give it to him So don't think you 'weren't helpful', all right Mini?"

Raika speaks somewhat firmly, but softly. She wants to make sure Mini really does feel like she'd personally helped, but she doesn't want to sound like someone chastising a kid, even if their height difference made it somewhat feel that way for Raika.

[Senju Minazawa]

In truth, Minazawa's life had been flipped upside down more than a couple of times in her lifetime. Tough she never looked negatively on the life that she lived. If anything, helping people was enough for her at the end of the day, and her personal advancements could be done one step at a time. You couldn't force a tree to grow any faster than what it wanted to. As she was reassured by Raika? That was a comforting thing for her to say the least. "Thank you so much." She says, smiling a cute little grin. Standing next to her, she did seem like a child probably. A lot of people said she had an incredibly youthful face. 

That, and combined with her short height, some thought her to be as young as eleven sometimes. Daresay, someone had even had asked her if she was in the academy. She was eighteen; and yet, she was cursed with one of those bodies that made you seem very youthful. Not very developed in the womanly way, and not abnormally tall and muscled like her Hyuuga friend here. "I can't say I've heard much about Kawa. It's just like you said. A big, small place. Though maybe if I ever go there, you could take me sometime." She seemed pleased by the prospect, of getting to spend more time with the girl before her.

She coughed lightly into her hand, as they deposited their little criminal.

"We're almost done with our patrol...After we're through. Would you like to get something to eat with me? I'll buy." She offers; showing gratitude to her comrade in menial labor.

403 words Senju Minazawa C-RANK MISSION: 14/15

Raika smiles right back at Mini when the other Genin smiles at her. Although she might seem big and intimidating, nigh on unapproachable, she wasn't really all that bad for most people, like one might expect for someone from such a heartless place as Kawa. Despite this, her face somewhat freezes when her temporary teammate suggests going to visit Kawa with her, because Kawa is not any kind of a place she might bring anyone else, and certainly not someone who looks as young and as innocent as Minazawa was. She'd been unable to bring Kawa to heel, and had instead been forced into letting Kawa change her, although she'd taken that traumatic experience and used it to push herself to go even further than most other people. She still didn't want that experience for anyone else. She relaxes a little again, as there's a really easy way out of making such a promise to travel to Kawa with her.

"Well, there are better places than Kawa to go to. If you ever need to go there, I'll go with you, though."

The Hyuuga makes sure to emphasize that word, hopefully ensuring that Minazawa is aware that the only reason to ever go to Kawa is for a desperate need to go there. Indeed, Raika would never willingly return to Kawa, if she could ever help it.

She watches as the sun starts to set, marking the nearing of the end of their mission, and she starts to relax a little more, slouching a bit and tugging the coveralls back up over the upper half of her body as Minazawa suggests getting something to eat with her, and she can hear her stomach grumbling a bit at the thought of some food. It would probably be very simple fare, too, which would also mean it wasn't so expensive that she would feel bad about Minazawa paying.

"Hmmmmmm... Okay, but only because you insist on paying top dollar for expensive food for me to eat."

Raika smiles again because she's only said it as a joke, walking over towards one of the very small restaurants nearer the main road of the small village, and after one more quick glance all around with her Byakugan and seeing very little actually going on, she deactivates the doujutsu once again. As useful as the special eye technique was, she didn't much like to peer in on others.

[Senju Minazawa]

There was a great level in comfort knowing that she'd made a friend today, someone who'd even be willing to show her around and take her to new places. "E-Eh. I don't think my wallet can handle anything too fancy." She says with a sweatdrop, but would proceed to realize Raika was joking. A relief. After all, you couldn't be too sure with members of the Hyuuga Clan. However, in those moments as they walked off together, towards a small stand off in the middle of a town, she found a joyous thought of being able to share in more moments like this. Even though the mission was relatively simple, and easy to perform. Looking at those eyes, and Raika's intimidating form, she could tell. She was powerful, but a good and sensible person.

"I'd hope that we can meet and train again soon. For now? Please. Eat as much as you'd like." Uncertain on what food she might partake in, she followed the muscled Hyuuga lady's view. Though, she did wonder for a moment. How much did she eat considering her size and weight anyways? Oh well. Not like she was too concerned. Payday was right around the corner.
