There is only one path left to take.

The man had impressive strength, even when compared to Kasumi's own mighty strength. The parry on her heavy sword sending her launched backwards. Normally the shock of such a blow would make ones hands hurt, hard to retaliate. Kasumi suffered from no such hesitation. Instead, as she landed she watched the sword get stuck in her teammates gut. The fact that he wasn't split in half made her think that he had done something to protect himself.

She still didn't have much of a grasp on her allies abilities and moves, but the boy seemed to be a competent one. Even if he was a little bit rough to speak with.

That created a perfect opportunity for Kasumi, and with a wicked smile she would make her move. Twirling her sword in the air once and throwing it towards the enemy. He might be strong, but her sword was heavy and her own strength was nothing to scoff at.

While he was distracted with Keiji, Kasumi's sword would soar through the air at his blind side. Enough power to pierce stone- which was against their directions but she had a feeling if this fight dragged on much longer then the place would suffer more damage.

Demon Chakra:
Kasumi has become known for her strange chakara form. When in a dire situation, she is capable of releasing her chakra, which in turn takes a strange color unlike the normal blue color of chakra, and takes the form of a demonic cat figure. She is then enveloped in a demon shroud.

This ability grants her a fierce looking aura, that may come off as intimidating and a tenacity to push beyond their normal limits physically- when this mode is activated, Kasumi is harder to knock out or kill and will generally fight for longer than a normal body is capable of.

Keeping this ability active has a low drain on Kasumi's chakara.

Since a young age, Kasumi has felt the weight of a sword in her hands. She's practiced combat with swords, and is able to compete with some of the best sword users around. That said, people who lack training with a sword or intensive Taijutsu tend to be overwhelmed by her skill.

Kasumi was born with higher than average chakara reserves, letting her use more chakara and jutsu without being exhausted. A natural gift from her lineage. She has learned how to properly take advantage of these reserves.

One Handed Demon Style:
Through patience and recklessness, Kasumi has mastered the ability to do jutsu with only one available hand. She can cast jutsu only using one hand for the seals.

Demon Strength:
Through hard work and dedication, Kasumi has trained her body to be strong- even for a shinobi. She has incredible physical strength that is near impossible to match on even footing.

DESCRIPTION:

The user uses the ribbon attached to their sword to quickly gain enough momentum to launch the weapon forward with devastating power up to 20 meters. The impact does more damage the closer the target. At 5 meters, it can punch through steel. 10 meters and above, stone. After the impact is made, the user can pull the weapon back to their hand.

The Kuronmeru took the brunt of the sword attack, it landing in his stomach, and locking in. The man wasn't particularly fazed however, not fully anyway, perhaps there had been a split second where he felt momentary shock at the retaliation or the way the sequence had gone but he was beyond that in a moments notice ready to battle again. For Keiji, losing this much blood was bad, and while the enemy did not know this, he knew that making his opponent bleed was for the best. In his mind, he was already close to death. Though, he was undoubtedly an impressive opponent.

They had forgotten one thing though, the little slinky water force that had been making its way around through the stone cracks... Once Kasumi made her location known the beastling suddenly materialized and jumped her - literally - trying to tackle her to the ground in some uncouth, savage attack that did not resemble anything close to that of a shinobi fighting. He was strong, but unlikely as strong as Kasumi's own raw strength, but it was likely enough to at least tackle her and definitely to disrupt her attack... Well, at least her sword attack or the trajectory of it.

With Keiji having stuck the sword lord knows where and in place the man wasted no time and use his extreme power to slice whilst summoning chakra to his blade creating a tornado in the area that would blow away any mist from them, simultaneously either knocking away and likely bisecting Keiji the rest of the way... Well it was a good thing he was a Kuronmeru in this moment. But it would still hurt enough to significantly hinder his mobility.

Wednesday October 25th 9:40pm CST

The main enemy uses a technique to create a miniature tornado + his strength to free his sword from Keiji. Likely really hurting Keiji in the process. The peon has intercepted Kasumi's attack savagely tackling her to try and beat her up with fists.

The user brings their weapon around in a fast, powerful arc that creates a minor shockwave, disturbing the air and creating a gust of short-lived wind similar in strength to an F2 tornado, which can be felt by anyone within about thirty meters of the swings arc. The winds are strongest close to the user (within 5 meters), and are capable of knocking senbon, kunai, and shuriken off course, and even lifting people off their feet should they be caught unawares.

A DEMON HAS PURPOSE

There is only one path left to take.

As Kasumi's attack went through the air, the second of the two minions chose to reveal themselves. It was too ambitious to think that she had killed both of them with one counter attack- but as she looked at the beast she could see the sloppy attack. An attack that she wanted to believe she would never fall for, even if she had an arm around her back.

So she did what came natural, and drew her second sword as the beast barrelled towards her. Similarly to the way that she and Keiji were deflected earlier, she swung the blade in a practiced and trained motion. Her own power hopefully enough to stop the beast with throwing off her sword too much.

Unfortunately for her though, it was then that the cloak around her- that allowed her to mount such an offense- flickered away. She didn't muster the strength to pull the sword back to her hand and the shock of the wounds in her shoulder and hip especially hit her like a ton of bricks. She may have found a way to keep her attack accurate, but the move might have cost her the sword for the rest of the fight.

Kasumi would fall to one knee, panting heavily as blood and sweat dripped from her face. "Damn it."

Still, with her knees shaking and breathing only getting heavier, she would force herself to stand again. She'd shake her head and put a hand through her hair to push it back.

The user swings their sword in a single quick and powerful cutting motion to attack an enemy in front of them.

     Black gore flung itself across the room as Keiji was sent spinning away from the action, gasping ineffectually as his left lung was opened up to the air. He rasped out, stumbling, as black blood spilled out the side of his kimono and down his hakama. With staggering motions, he took a few more steps and then collapsed sideways behind some obstructing debris - seemingly dead, or dying.

     Of course, that was merely how it seemed - Keiji - his back towards the enemy - immediately began preparing to heal himself as best he could, though at this point it was more of a stabilization. Hiding his handseals in front of his body, to block sight, should the debris not be enough to obscure it, he slowly and carefully molded his chakra in a way that exposed as little movement as possible.

     Blood pooled around his body, drenching his entire left side - which was the first part of his impromptu plan - using the already-active Black Defense, he allowed the concentration to drop, but created a makeshift 'wall' that cordoned off his lung and restored function to it. It wouldn't hold up to strenuous movement or attack, but it at least prevented his immediate death.

     Able to at hold oxygen in his lungs now, he followed it with a burst of Accelerated Healing. The bloody, ragged edges of the wound sealed up into moist scabs - stemming the bleeding but still leaving him with a gaping hole in his ribcage.

     Now that he could breathe again, the immense pain almost forced a writhing scream out of him - though he quieted himself by viciously biting into his cheeks. There was little he could do now except wait and attempt to recover further while Kasumi fought the man alone and kept him distracted. Keiji resisted the urge to close his eyes, the blood loss and chakra drain wearing on him heavily.

     He now lay there, utterly still, slowly regenerating his lost blood while the fight continued.

"Yaargh!" Was all the peon could get out before having their body or head or wherever Kasumi was aiming sliced. With not enough time to hydrify the body fell to the ground with a thump but ultimately the result was the same. The trajectory was thrown off just enough to keep the man he had been fighting for safe.

Neither Kasumi nor Keiji were doing well, and now as Keiji laid there more or less incapacitated the man turned his sights on the girl with the sword who was just now getting up, bleeding and tired.

The man was fully convinced at this point that Keiji was dead - there was no way he could have survived that, after all. So he was smirking towards Kasumi, he was going to take her out too.

"Ready to meet your boyfriend?" He called out in mockery, calling back to when they had first arrived and he had called this a little date. Kasumi thought it wasn't too creative, but he certainly thought it was at the very least funny.

He flickered towards Kasumi in a flash his sword at the ready to slice directly through the girl with all of his might - and that was no small amount of might.

Kasumi would have a very small opening to parry, if she could manage it, and in doing so the two swords would clash and Kasumi at this close of proximity would see how very real his intention to kill was.

There is only one path left to take.

Kasumi herself wasn't a hundred percent sure whether Keiji was okay or not- the man they were against clearly had the insane strength to kill someone easily... and when he was in front of her it was clear he was not playing around as well and definitely had the full intention to kill them. She had trained with a sword the majority of her life, and that was all that gave her the ability to parry in the fraction of a moment that she had.

The power of the mans blow knocked her sword down to her hip, but again Kasumi had trained with this her entire life. The moment she landed the parry she went beyond- plus ultra- and brought the pommel of her sword up lightning fast towards his face. Aiming for his nose with a blow hard enough to daze the man. She would have gone for the kill, but after her parry the time it would take to spin the blade would have given him an opportunity to recover from the parry.

"Sick of hearing all your damned opinions, you can save that shit for someone else."

Through foggy and tired eyes, she spotted Keiji still alive in the corner. She smiled wide at the enemy, her teeth red with blood from one of her internal injuries that she couldn't be bothered to pick. If this played out right, she hoped her parry and counter attack would create enough of an opening that Keiji could move in for the kill. For real this time.

     Keiji laid there, still as ever. Tired. So dreadfully tired... His blood had regenerated to the point where he was only missing a bit now - he had perhaps five-sixths of the normal total, or a little less. Enough to allow normal movement - barring his rather grievous injury, of course. He spent a moment more circulating his blood, ensuring no part of his body remained drained.

     The extent of his exhaustion was evident - he felt he could barely move. Had it not been for the gaping hole in his side, he'd be physically okay - but the extreme pain had drained him mentally and his chakra reserves weren't getting any bigger. The combat continued on without him, the clash of weapons ringing in his ears more clearly than they had a little bit ago. Keiji decided he had to get back up, but how? He still felt so weak.

     Calm and quiet, but deep, breaths lifted his chest as he reoxygenated his blood. He focused all his remaining blood into his muscles, forcing out every reserve of energy he could muster in an effect not dissimilar to a burst of adrenaline strength. From his last positioning, and what he could gather from sounds alone, it seemed the man's back was to Keiji - at the very least, he wasn't paying his corpse very close attention.

     Keiji looked up and saw Kasumi's massive sword stuck into the wall. He quickly got to his feet, unbalanced, and darted a look over at the enemy - he hadn't seemed to notice. Keiji made his move. In a flash, he was by the wall, then he yanked the sword out. It was heavy - very heavy. Had he not been using every ounce of his enhanced strength, he would've been unable to hold it. As it was, he could feel his muscles stretching and nearly ready to tear.

     In a final burst of strength and speed, he crossed the room and swung the blade with his everything behind it. The exertion snapped muscles in his arms, the right side of his torso, and his left leg. The rudimentary blood dam shattered, causing his lung to reopen and for blood to issue forth unrestrained. But at this point the sword was already rocketing through the air behind their enemy on a course to bisect him completely.

The parry was slight but just enough to knock the man's trajectory back a bit, he took only one step but he was still dangerously close and thus he invited the smack of the pommel against his face. It cracked into his nose, causing blood to spurt out. He grabbed onto it slightly, and glared at Kasumi. He was quite a bit taller than her, and he was practically glowering as he prepared another attack genuinely not paying any attention to Keiji behind him because, in his mind, he was dead.

"Stupid girl, I'll show you what it means to be a true shinobi. Not these games you're playing!" He exhaled, growling low as he glared at the girl reaching down towards his laxly held sword. He was really about to unleash something powerful as electricity coursed through the area shocking the foggy air as before, a hot flash of an exhale, some kind of breathing technique.

And then, very suddenly, nothing. He coughed out in pain, blood coming form his mouth as his body slid from itself in half and he fell in two halves. Only slightly alive, but already dying as his blood pooled everywhere from his body and his eyes getting glassy.

If Kasumi expanded her technique to sense for life forms there would be nothing immediately there or coming towards them.

The two had a few options, they could retreat now having won the day; recoup in this locked in room and lick their wounds; continue up though this was far from the commands that they had been given and would likely result in their deaths.

Timer Stopped.

The enemy has been defeated and thus Keiji and Kasumi's part of the event concludes. They may heal up and then retreat or continue up. Continuing up will result in more difficult enemies. They can hold this point of the building as well just in case when the jounin teams come through.

Keiji and Kasumi however do get a successful pass for their part of the event.

Chakra and stamina are likely at all time low.

Keiji should probably try to fix his body up.

[Kuronmeru Keiji]

     The strength faded from Keiji's muscles as the blade soared on it's arc. The man toppled, to which Keiji smirked, although it turned to a grimace as the great weight of the sword yanked his left arm from its socket before he had a chance to release it. Kasumi's weapon lodged itself into the ceiling with a thud.

     With a rasping grunt, Keiji stumbled off towards the wall and then slid down it. The room, at least every part he'd touched, was covered in bloody black smears. The dam he'd constructed had burst and exposed his lung once again, but the technique allowed reconstruction at quite a low cost and so with a small bit of chakra he could breathe again.

     The Kuronmeru's mouth turned down at one end as he waved his limp arm over at Kasumi. Evidently the idea of asking for help bothered him. "Hey. Come help me pop this back in." he said with a nod at his left shoulder. It'd be a simple matter of following his instructions and shoving it back into place, and once it'd been done he'd begin the long process of healing himself.

     Shoving his hands together more than forming handseals, Keiji would spend his remaining available chakra on healing the parts of himself that he could - reattaching muscles, stemming bleeding, reconstructing lost tissue - where he could. A great deal of his damage wouldn't be healable out here in the field. He'd have to just lie here, fuming a little, until others could arrive and take him back to the Kirigakure hospital.

Very low for the dam, using up the rest of his reserves on Accelerated Healing as the event continues. Keiji is out :P
