DESCRIPTION:

Peace is nonexistent in the world of shinobi. As such, investment in both talent and skill are paramount. Konohagakure no sato, while a refuge for harmony and tranquility, boast some of the most powerful shinobi to walk this world and such a tradition of strength will not conclude anytime soon. Nobility around Hi no Kuni have recognized the urgency for strength, nonetheless, salivate at the thought of entertainment. Spar against your fellow shinobi or join in teams versus another and pit your combat prowess against theirs. Entertain the nobility with your tactics and dually prove the fire country has nothing to worry about in terms of shinobi strength. While both parties will be paid handsomely, this will prove more beneficial to your training than your pockets!

Now this was exciting! Raika had picked up another mission, the same as one she'd done with Tokaku already, and now she was having another spar with another good friend, this time Hibana. Although perhaps she and Tokaku were now more than friends, considering how their last mission had gone... But Raika doesn't want to get ahead of herself. After all, she was also quite interested in Hibana as well, after their fun little race around Konoha's village walls. That was still quite something to remember for the Genin, and she tries to focus on something, anything else to get the color from flushing her cheeks at the memory. For now, she needs to focus on preparing herself for the spar, especially since she's going up against someone that's definitely faster than her, and a higher rank to boot.

Still, she thought it would be quite interesting to go up against someone that outranks her, and it would probably be quite exciting for the nobles to watch, as well. At least, she hoped it would be an interesting show. They'd already seen her sparring with an Uchiha, and that had seemed to pique their interest enough to come and watch her fight someone else, even if it wasn't someone else with a doujutsu, as far as she was aware. Where Raika had the Byakugan, it seemed like Hibana only had one eye, so maybe their difference in rank would be offset by their differences in sight.

"Oh! Hey there hot stuff. You ready for a good beating?"

Raika notices her old Academy friend walking right into the covered arena they would be doing the spar in. The walls were high and the arena was actually quite wide and open, with a sandy floor layered over padded flooring to protect the two women from hard falls. The walls were made of stone and the high ceiling protected them from rain while allowing them plenty of room above them, while the central circular fighter's pit had a radius of about 50 meters, giving them plenty of wiggle room and also letting the spectators have lots of elbow room to watch the spar as they get to it. Raika is in her usual workout clothing, already prepared for the spar to begin with her dark gray tank top, coveralls halfway down and tied around her waist, and her boots clomping down on the sand. Her Hung Gar rings were also firmly locked around her wrists and ankles, which could provide plenty of power in her attacks, glinting in the lights shining down on the duo in the center of the ring.

The Pink Blur

The restless young kunoichi hopped up and down gathering her thoughts. Her father had received the letter from the nobles requesting her. She had found out later it was to take part in a spar against her friend Raika. She stopped bouncing looking at the ground, her thoughts swirled with images of Raika helping her with her ankle injury. If it was not for her quick thinking Hibana would have had to decline this invitation. She bit her lower lip smiling at the thought of Raika before the door before her opened. She rolled her shoulders before skipping into the arena. "You'll have to catch me first gorgeous and this time you wont have a root to help you." Raika had called her hot, she could feel her cheek turn red as she looked away. Hibana made sure to slap her face bringing her back to solid ground. She could not afford to be distracted against a Hyuga even if it was only a spar. She tilted her head until her neck cracked before bending over stretching her back and calf muscles. For a few moments Hibana went through her stretching routine as to not cramp up. She made sure to exaggerate a few of the bends and stretches for Raika hoping the nobles watching would not get the subtle flirting. She turned back facing the tall muscular woman with a smile her left eye gazing straight at the Hyuga's amethyst orbs. She had left her crop top sleeveless hoodie at home deciding it would just get in the way and did not want to risk it. Her black tank top cut off right above her not muscular but toned abs making her, from the waist up, look like the girl next door. However looking lower showed a bigger picture, the black shorts she wore barely made it to the middle of her thighs. Below that all the way down to her running shoes was pure toned and sculpted muscle. Her calves and thighs looked like deadly weapons and to those who did not know better they were. The Hun Gar rings she wore on her ankles, as she noticed Raika did as well, would help her deal more damage with her already lethal kicks. "Good luck Raika, may the best shinobi win!" She blew a kiss to the Hyuga preparing for battle.

Raika simply allows Hibana to get her own stretches in, and she does her own bit of warming up, involving not just stretches, but even doing a few push-ups, which of course allowed the Genin to get an even closer look at her sparring partner's legs. Not that she was ogling... for too long, that is. Okay, so what if she was tracing the muscles of those legs with her eyes, she was just sizing up her opponent, and that was totally normal in a spar! She had a reason to do that, right?! Raika's own cheeks are starting to flush as she makes excuses for herself in her own head before she gets back up to her feet. While Hibana's legs were more muscular, Raika's entire body was of a similar size and tone, which, Raika believes, puts her at something of an advantage, maybe enough of one to balance their difference in rank.

"Yeah, you can keep all that good luck, cause you're gonna need it.~"

Trash talk like this was normal, and a great show for the nobles watching from above. Raika decides to go with a surprise attack that she often employed, at least in an initial spar with someone that hadn't sparred with her before: she takes on the Jyuken fighting stance, bringing her hands up with the palms towards Hibana, showing her the striking surface for the majority of the Hyuuga's Taijutsu. This often forces her opponents to try and prepare themselves for a soft-style Taijutsu attack, not realizing that Raika wasn't really about to use the famous palm strikes of the Jyuken style. She might switch back to it, but she loved the surprise on her opponent's face when she suddenly changes from Jyuken to one of the harder hitting Taijutsu styles.

The kiss blown to her does put her a bit off-balance mentally, her cheeks flushing a bit, but Raika doesn't do anything to hide the reddening of her cheeks. It's a bit too late for that now, since the spar has started in earnest. The Genin herself doesn't move, though, and she instead waits to see what Hibana will do while she activates her own Byakugan, preparing herself by watching intently to see which direction Hibana's first attack is going to come from. With her newest self-healing technique, she should be able to just take the blonde's attack and use it to strike back.

The Pink Blur

Hibana was nervous to begin the spar knowing the aptitude the Hyuga had with Taijutsu. She was sure she would be able to blitz Raika no matter what if she really needed to but where was the fun in that. She steadied herself with a couple deep slow breaths like she was preparing for a run. He right arm rose to her face, her hand grasping the wrap covering her right eye. She was not sure if she should use the Tennogan here but felt a need to out of respect. She smirked lowering her arm deciding to pass up on the opportunity. Besides Raika with her Byakugan could probably see her trump card so why not just wait till she was ready. "I knew you were trouble when you walked in.." Her voice was low almost a mumble as she started to sing to herself. She began to hop up and down getting into a rhythm in her mind. She needed to be able to stay focused if this was gonna last long enough for a good show. The nobles would be disappointed if one of them ended this spar from a sloppy mistake made by the other. She could not wait to much longer or she would look like a coward. She focused her chakra at the bottom of her feet, the wind walking technique. It was her hope that the added speed from this jutsu would boost what she knew was a natural speed to out pace Raika. "Trouble trouble trouble..." She sprang forward rushing five meters before changing direction. From the stories the Byakugan could see three hundred and sixty degrees all around them. She wanted to test that theory without getting close enough to risk a defensive counter. The small space between her feet and the ground lowered the friction zooming her around the area. Ten meters was the closest she got running circles around her opponent occasionally stopping her momentum to throw her body in a different direction. She looked for any recognition on if Raika could see her movements when she was behind her.

Raika can finally see the eye that's under Hibana's strange protective cloth, but all she knows about it is that it's not Hibana's actual eye. For one thing, it's a completely different color: where her eyes are a bright red or a dark pink, this eye is completely black, like the shadow of the moon when it eclipses the sun. While mesmerizing, Raika had other things that she needed to focus on, so she ignored the eye for now. She could always ask about it later, when they weren't in the middle of a tense spar, although this spar was really only meant to be a form of entertainment for a group of rich folks. They were probably the type of nobles that the Hyuuga would already have a good connection to.

Then the Genin can see that Hibana is getting ready herself, mumbling something under her breath that Raika can't really hear. It wasn't what Raika was focusing on anyway, since she was watching how her chakra was being sent to the bottom of her feet, making the Genin assume that her sparring partner was now looking to increase her own speed advantage over the dark-haired kunoichi. This assumption is somewhat proven true when Hibana rushes forward quite rapidly, then turns to travel around behind her. Not realizing Hibana herself is singing, or rather mumbling the song to herself, Raika ends up doing the same.

"We kissed, I fell under your spell, a love no one could deny."

She continues her mumbled singing under her breath as she does her best to keep track of Hibana using her Byakugan, which is somewhat easier since she doesn't have to turn her head or move her eyes at all to do so, but the movement is fast enough that even her Byakugan has a hard time keeping up. She eventually finds she can pinpoint where she is by focusing on her pattern of movement, and so she waits for any stop to change direction as she gathers chakra behind her right palm. She can at least use one Hyuga Taijutsu technique that might prove useful. She waits until Hibana reaches within 10 meters, and then rushes towards where she was heading towards. With a single motion, she turns to her left and extends her right arm, thrusting her palm forwards, but obliquely in the direction of Hibana's movement at about waist level, a location that would be difficult to dodge easily as the hips are typically the last to move.

"I came in like a wrecking ball, I never hit so hard in love!"

NAME: Fūton: Kaze Sanpo [Wind Release: Wind Walk]

DESCRIPTION:
This technique allows the user to create a wind like base under their feet, reducing friction and enhancing the user's speed. The user doesn't seem to be levitating unless under close inspection which they seem to be about 1.5 - 2cm off the ground. Apart from enhancing speed, this technique gives the user the ability to walk on water and evade projectile attacks with ease.

Hibana tried not to smirk as Raika charged in her general direction. She did not wish to look demeaning or rude to her old friend. However watching her run at her at what she assumed was full speed Hibana knew Raika would be a deadly force if she was just a bit faster. She did not alter her course instead she moved to meet Raika head on. If these nobles wanted a show they would get one. The distance between them closed rapidly due to Hibana's speed as she ran almost straight into the Hyuga's open palm. In moment before she would have stopped she spun using the lowered friction of her wind walking technique. Her right leg raised hooking it around the elbow of Raika but instead of pursuing the offensive Hibana used her momentum to shove Raika away. "Shake it off, shake it off!" She was having fun but knew her blood pressure was rising for another reason. He flipped backwards again creating distance as she tried to formulate a plan. Spar or not this could turn dangerous in an instant if Raika decided to cut off her chakra flow. It was decided she needed to show respect to the other woman and fight her on a more even field. "Raika I have decided that spar or not if i'm holding back then it wouldn't be as fun for either of us." Her right hand rose grabbing the cloth covering her eye. She pulled the scarf off tossing it to the ground. Her right eye opened slowly blinking away the sleepy haze from the constant darkness. It was a stark contrast to Hibana's blonde hair and pink left eye. The tennogan she had received from a dying Kumo missing nin looked like an eclipse with the white spirals and circle connecting them stood sharp against the black eye. It was rare for Hibana to uncover her eye but she wished to show her new companion she was serious. "I will show you why they call me the Eclipse Eyed Kunoichi." She had stopped singing and was focused solely on Raika. SPOILER: Click to show NAME: Sagi // 鷺 [Heron] RANK: D CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low CLASSIFICATION: Taijutsu ELEMENT: -none DESCRIPTION: The first and most basic of the Bird maneuvers, the user dodges an incoming attack before hooking their leg around the assailant's weapon, whether that be fist, leg or sword, opening them up to a follow-up attack and preventing the opponent from countering or moving away.

Raika is actually quite surprised at Hanabi's ability to catch her arm in the middle of an attack, and then using it to shove her back and create distance between the two of them once again. Of course, up until that point, she'd only been trying to see if she could land a hit, but the Genin is now realizing that if she did land a hit, with her strength and the Hung Gar rings as well, she might still be a threat, even for a Chuunin, so it really shouldn't be too surprising that Hibana is looking to mostly keep Raika at a distance. The masterful show brings the nobles to a mild applause, and Raika stands firm again several meters back from where she'd tried to hit Hibana with the first attack, only to be surprised that Hibana is explaining that the spar is about to get even more interesting, since the Chuunin is apparently not going to be holding back any more.

"Eclipse Eyed Kunoichi, huh? Then I guess I'll show you why they call me The Meathead."

It had sounded cooler in her head, and she swears she can see and hear one of the noblemen watching the fight trying to hold back laughter, but Raika isn't even smiling now as she takes Hibana more seriously. The strange black-colored eye is a stark contrast to Raika's own white Byakugan, and she slams her fisted right hand into her left palm, before she changes the position of her fingers with a twist to form the handseal for the Body Flicker technique, a jutsu she'd learned from another ninja that had recently passed the Chuunin Exams without a single loss. With chakra now flowing throughout her body to improve her movement and speed, Raika rushes forward to meet Hibana.

Before the two actually meet, Raika is suddenly ducking down low, dropping the handseal so she can brace herself to the ground as she swings her right leg at Hibana's ankles, aiming to knock her off her feet. Even if that attack should miss, Raika continues the spinning motion as her body rises from the force and speed of her rotation, causing her right leg to continue on its spiral upwards at about Hibana's waist, then at her shoulders, and then a final strike aimed at her collarbone. Raika is careful to use her Byakugan to try and keep track of Hibana during the entire series of strikes, utilizing her own great strength as well as the weight of the Hung Gar rings at her ankles to empower each attack.

The Pink Blur

Hibana had to use all of her self control to not laugh at Raika's "nickname". The woman was beautiful, strong and funny but self awareness she lacked always had Hibana smiling. Meathead was right and the recent time they had spent alone together a week ago had proven that right. She blushed, in more ways that one, her tennogan watching every muscle of raika's body flex. She saw a drop of sweat roll down her neck to her- Raika's hands moved. Its seemed slow to Hibana and even after a year the heightened perception she gained was new to her. She could see Raika's chakra and the seal she formed in an almost semi-slow motion. She was going to use the body flicker and try and rush Hibana again. In all honesty she had the right plan. With her size and strength Raika could and probably would make her take a great deal of damage. There was one thing Hibana was more confident about, the one thing she knew more than anything. She was the Pink Blur, she would be the fastest shinobi in the history of the world. She was thankful for the Tennogan, without it this fight would be over here and now. As Raika charged forward the Tennogan tracked her to the best of its abilities letting her spring backwards as Raika dropped down. A few quick steps back had Hibana assume a sprinters stance as Raika began to lift into the air with her rotation of kicks. As she reached her apex Hibana sprang forward coating her legs in Raiton chakra. Jumping into the air she aimed a kick letting her speed and momentum along with the Hung Gar rings fly to the mid air Hyuuga. Hibana was extremely quick, Raika had to give her that. But she knew that already from their race, and she certainly knew Hibana was faster than she was. So one might wonder why Raika would try to even match Hibana's speed with her own Body Flicker technique, but the Genin herself had a plan in mind. Although all her kicks missed, the raven-haired kunoichi kept a close eye on what Hibana's own actions would be, and she sees her preparing to use a technique that Raika herself had used a few times before, and one she could imitate with perfection. It takes a bit of acrobatics work, something Raika wasn't really used to, but she turns that final axe kick that was meant to attack Hibana's collarbone into a kick off the floor, turning it into a leap of her own, directly towards Hibana.

"Now for a great clash!"

With her natural Raiton chakra coursing over her body and in particular her right leg, she extends that particular leg forwards in a leaping kick meant to meet with Hibana's own leg in midair, with her own attack looking to match her sparring partner's same Taijutsu technique. Should their feet meet in midair, the sparking strikes would meet one another in a flash of purplish and pink lightning, their similar Taijutsu meeting with a loud thunderclap clash. While Raika's own greater strength and Hung Gar rings might have ensured that their clashing strikes would actually end with Raika as the victor, should each strike meet one another, it would be almost exactly even with one another, and Raika would have to land back on her feet quickly, prepared for another attack from the Chuunin.

She was honestly somewhat surprised at Hibana's speed, which was hard for her own Byakugan to keep track of. She rarely had such an issue, but the blonde bombshell was impressive. The fact that she was very nearly ogling the Chuunin wasn't entirely lost on Raika, but at least she could keep her actual eyes looking straight ahead, ogling her with the "peripheral" vision afforded to her by the Byakugan. It still made her own cheeks flush red, which she could always blame on the excitement of their spar.

The Pink Blur

It was two legs covered in raiton chakra, two bolts of lightning love racing towards each other. Hibana made her decision right then and there she would chase this woman. With every ounce of endurance and speed she would chase this violet eyed Hyuuga until she caught her and made Raika her girlfriend. However she needed to make sure she won today first, she could not have Raika thinking a Chunin was weak. As the two females headed toward each other she knew the clash would or should end in Raika's favor. A sudden burst of wind chakra pushed her up further into the air as if she jumped mid air. Hibana had her speed and she was truly proud of it, but she had another secret she could fly. Well not really fly but she had found ways to keep herself from touching the ground such as her wind walking. She had also found ways to maneuver mid air as if she were a bird. Now above the Genin it was time to go on the offensive and stop playing games. Her body dropped the rings on her ankles clattering with the sudden momentum shift. She aimed a kick at the woman below her with enough force behind it to do some real damage. SPOILER: Click to show NAME: Hachidori no Odori [Dance of the Hummingbird] RANK: C CHAKRA USAGE: Low - Medium CLASSIFICATION: Taijutsu ELEMENT: Fūton HANDSEALS: 0 DESCRIPTION: Hachidori no Odori is a simple taijutsu technique used to maneuver mid-jump by releasing a burst of fuuton chakra from the body opposite the direction you wish to dodge allowing limited directional control mid-air and with enough force allowing the user to perform a double-jump of sorts. NAME: Ahōdori // 信天翁 [Albatross] RANK: B CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Taijutsu ELEMENT: -none DESCRIPTION: Leaping into the air, the user strikes the opponent in the mid-section, launching them towards the ground at break-neck speed. This is delivered with such power that it leaves a small crater in the ground where the opponent lands.

Raika is quite surprised by the sudden shift in Hibana's positioning, but her Byakugan catches the truth of that movement, and it was chakra pushing down on the air under her to raise her up enough that instead of meeting one another, their kicks would end up slipping past one another. The Genin barely has enough time to register this change before she starts focusing on where the next attack will be coming from, and in this position, she focuses on moving chakra to her stomach and her back as Hibana's foot comes into contact with her flexing abdominal muscles. With so much focus on trying to heal her body before there's even been any damage yet, her leg is no longer sparking as the Sparking Entry is no longer being supplied with Raiton chakra, and instead she feels somewhat protected as Hibana's leg comes crashing down on top of her, sending her to the ground in a harsh explosion of dirt as her body is left in a crater by the attack. Raika decides right then and there that no matter what, she wants to match this beautiful golden flame's strength with some of her own.

However, despite the intense pain of such a strong downward kick, Raika realizes she's undamaged, and she reaches a hand up to try and grab hold of Hibana's leg, hopefully before she can pull it away from the Genin. With this grip, Raika intends to hold Hibana's foot in place so she can use her left hand to strike at several specific points around the Chuunin's leg, aimed specifically at several of her chakra points in order to block off chakra to the entire limb, which would likely throw off her chakra balance immensely. Without waiting to see if these strikes are successful, she shoves the ankle aside. Should the movement succeed, it would likely cause Hibana to land on top of her, astride the taller Hyuuga's waist.

"Uff... That hurt, you know."

Her voice is still comedic, though, clearly in a joking mood rather than sounding like she really was in pain. It was almost as though the attack had done no damage to the Genin at all, though Raika could feel that she'd used up a lot of chakra to be able to heal enough to avoid any great level of damage. Hibana was certainly extremely strong, in her own way.

Using opponent's facial expression and movements, the technique's speed and power, the user analyses everything in an instant and accurately deduces where the attack will land. Even more than accurately predicting the attack or instantly gauging the situation, a great resilience is necessary.

The Pink Blur

She felt her foot hit Raika's stomach, the hard muscles almost felt like a brick wall. In her mind she pushed forward her foot smashing the brick shattering the barrier before her. In reality Raika's body slammed into the ground causing a small crater. Hibana almost felt bad before her eye caught the expression on Raika's face. She had not be injured at all but how was the possible? The kick at the least should have cracked a rib with the impact to the ground being devistating to the tall genin's back. She looked just as she did in the beginning of the spar besides glistening with sweat. Again Hibana was thankful for her special eye catching the movement of Raika's arm moving to catch her leg. As she stood perched on her left leg standing steady on the plank that was Raika's rock hard abs her curled right leg snapped out like a whip towards Raika's wrist reaching for her. At the connection she jumped using the Dance of the Hummingbird again as she jumped off Raika's stomach. The fuuton chakra pushed her up and away, and hopefully sent some down keeping Raika grounded, from the prone Genin having Hibana land a safe distance away. "Beauty, Brawn and Secrets I am more curious than ever now. That kick should have sent you to the hospital." She turned red realizing her words were true. "BUTIDIDN'TMEANTOHURTYOUONPURPOSE!" Her words seemed as if there was no pause for breath in between them. This was just a spar and she got carried away, tho if Raika could take these hits and keep on going then maybe she did not need to hold back anymore. Raika winces a bit as the kick to her wrist sends her hand away from trying to take hold of her ankle, ensuring that she won't be able to grab hold of it in order to hit it with the Hyuuga's particular Jyuuken technique and leave one of those lovely and powerful legs momentarily unusable. And while she would have liked to try and grab onto Hibana while she's airborne and likely far less capable of dodging her, Raika feels the air pressure from Hibana kicking off the ground push her back down as she starts to get up. That technique really was something else, and she'd seen it twice now. After Hibana's second jump, Raika quickly rises up from the crater, brushing dust and dirt off her shoulders as the dust from the downward slam gradually dissipates. The nobles would likely see Raika standing upright directly in the center of the crater, and there was actually a bit of excited murmuring among them.

"Heh.~ A little swat like that wouldn't even be enough to kill a mosquito..."

Of course, in reality, the power of such a strike had left her with dwindling chakra reserves. Even with her chakra control, the attack had been quite devastating. It had taken a lot of self-healing to be able to prepare her own body for the attack, and now she was quite exhausted and sweating a lot. The chakra usage had certainly been intense, but now she needed to end it quickly or she was going to end up actually beaten by the Chuunin. This means she'd just have to go ahead and take on the Jyuuken fighting style stance, with her arms forming a string line pointed at Hibana's feet and her knees slightly bent. She could see the octagon and the bagua that surround the wuji at the center, but Hibana wasn't within the area of the trigrams, so she would have to either move closer, or goad Hibana in.

"Come on over, I'll show you another secret!~ And this one is gonna be a real surprise!"

The Pink Blur

Hibana was torn between wanting to win but knowing the cost of that victory. Raika was powerful and seemed to be able to heal themselves from most, maybe all, damage done to them. With grim resolve Hibana focused her chakra to her legs and feet. First was Rabbit Walking, the chakra flowing through her legs would give her the speed to zig zag in random directions hopefully to keep Raika's Byakugan busy. Second she would once again use the wind walking technique to increase her speed more. The Pink Blur was not just a name to her, it was a title bestowed upon her by her father. She watched Raika drop to a stance she had never seen before but knew from the stories was a Byakugan special skill. She hoped the speed advantage she had would be enough to land another decisive blow against her "friend". One step at a time was all she needed to achieve her dreams. She exhaled as the first foot moved, to most casual observers she would look like a blur. The spectators above them were nobles, maybe a select few were shinobi or had been in their younger years. To them they would see the after image of a pink and blonde blur stopping here and there changing direction. They were to slow, with each stop they saw she was already preparing for her next course change. On her last pivot she took aim at the side of Raika's knee looking to land a decisive blow crippling the other woman. She moved back and forth trying not to keep a pattern her opponent could discern as she moved closer. She was ready to land the finishing blow as she dropped to aim her kick at Raika's knee. In a brief moment she realized the damage she could and might cause to the other woman. This was just a spar and she did not wish to cause her friend true harm. Her foots aim changed slamming into the ground to try and slow her momentum causing her to skid and slam into Raika's hips. The user approaches the target in a zig-zag pattern, pouncing left and right while facing the opponent. Due to speed of the movement, and the irregular pattern, they are often confused as to when or how to strike, thus leaving them aghast until it's too late NAME: Fūton: Kaze Sanpo [Wind Release: Wind Walk] RANK: D CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Fūton DESCRIPTION: This technique allows the user to create a wind like base under their feet, reducing friction and enhancing the user's speed. The user doesn't seem to be levitating unless under close inspection which they seem to be about 1.5 - 2cm off the ground. Apart from enhancing speed, this technique gives the user the ability to walk on water and evade projectile attacks with ease.

Although the Byakugan was considered the pinnacle of doujutsu, able to see almost in every direction and at great distance with great detail, Raika was having a very hard time trying to keep up with her sparring partner. The movements were erratic, hard to follow precisely, and exceedingly fast. Thankfully, while the movements were highly erratic, the fact that she had to approach Raika in order to do much in this spar was certainly making Raika's job a bit easier. All she had to do was wait for Hibana to fully approach her and- THERE!

Unfortunately, Raika definitely did not have the reflexive movement necessary to effectively defend against the attack that she saw coming. With Hibana's leg raised, she could see that it was starting to aim for her knee, but she figures she might be able to get off the Palm Storm technique if she sacrifices her knee to this attack. But Raika is panicking, in fear of the pain that destroying her knee might cause, and so she can't bring herself to prepare for the expulsion of chakra. Thankfully, Hibana seems to have second thoughts about this attack, and she instead collides with the Genin.

Raika only manages to catch her sparring partner, and with the momentum carrying through her, they end up rolling over one another, since Raika has reflexively grabbed onto the blonde woman and held on tightly, foregoing a lot of Taijutsu training. They spin over and over one another before Raika regains the wherewithal to stop the spin with herself pinning Hibana's shoulders to the ground and her hips straddling the other woman's hips, keeping her planted to the ground in what she feels to be a winning position.

"Gotcha! ... Ouch..."

Although the Genin is taken with her own victory, and perhaps her position, their sudden collision had caused some aches and pains, several of which she had also chosen to forego healing even when she had realized that Hibana wasn't going to snap her knee. She's panting from the physical exertion now, but then she seems to realize the positions. Instead of feeling embarrassed, however, she feels that this must be... right, in some way. Exciting. She realizes that she's finding Hibana more and more attractive all the time, and she decides to flirt a bit, just to see if she's just as into it as she is, and so she leans down a bit closer, whispering in a voice that the nobles won't be able to hear in their own seating.

"Get used to this, I have a feeling I'm gonna be putting you in this position often."

Her hands move from Hibana's shoulders to either side of her head, lightly pressing their bodies together as her arms bend, only for her to use the full strength of her arms to rocket herself back up onto her feet, though a little wobbly. She was a bit dizzy from the spinning during the struggle for a pinning position, but she felt that the victory was a bit... undecided.
