background

A long time ago a Chikamatsu went mad with their human puppetry research. They'd been one of the lead in design and protocol for Shippai, however they were a strong believer that the 'human condition' needed a cure. Losing their touch with their fellow clansmen and being a threat to them, the man and his followers set off on a mission with no intention to return. This troop which set up in the now lands of stone country at the border of earth country, would find itself an unwanted guest and be buried alive by the surrounding clan opposition.

Years later and the Chikamatsu's actions were long forgotten, the clans which 'defeated' them in the past joined surrounding nations and mostly dwindled out. Leading to Ishigakure's mining expanses to finally unlock what should of been a tomb of these old abandoned shinobi. Instead they've discovered a violent colony beneath the earth, a split of what should be considered Shippai, but these puppets bare a different insignia and hold their own beliefs. Ishigakure's initial forces faced casualties and now demands Iwagakure prove it's allegiance and handle this threat.
