From her father's side of the family Yuma inherited a form of achondroplasia, causing her to be extremely short and have disproportionately short limbs. It is her most distinctive feature and has been arguably the most impactful thing on her life.

Her hair sprawls out and down to some point around her neck, dark, thick and curled. Her eyebrows are thick and furry, her resting face gives the impression of her being lost in thought or contemplative. Many of her features follow the same pattern many in Sunagakure do, with dark brown eyes and skin that lays a few shades removed from tan. 

In terms of apparel, Yuma wears a strange and foreign set of garb that has its roots in traditions from her father's side of the family. From a non-shinobi land not on a different continent, she wears a pale blue pointed hat that is no longer than 6 inches. Paired with a lapelled cloak that reaches down to just above her knees, the same shade of blue as her hat, with two scholarly-looking tassels running from the neck of the cloak down to where the cloak finishes.
