KNOWN AFFILIATE:
Name: Saeko Umemura Suspect Location: Moku no Kuni Suspected Affinities Taijutsu, Eight Gates Criminal Rank: B - RANK
Saeko Umemura, alias "Oakheart." Prominent member of the Tanjo Organization and viewed by many as it's "face." Powerful threat worthy of keeping a close eye on despite belonging to an otherwise unremarkable group. Known to have once cooperated with suspected Nukenin, proven Wannin "Blade". Further details on "Blade" association unknown. Believed, but unproven, to also be responsible for the rumored "Fenrir" beast tales spoken of throughout Moku no Kuni. Further investigation is required. Exercise extreme caution if attempting to engage.
APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 177 cm (5'10") WEIGHT: 66 kg (146 lbs.)
At an impressive height and with a bulky frame, Saeko is the kind of woman you might see benchpressing logs without breaking a sweat. Her skin takes up a tanned coloration due to the amount of time she spends under the sun and there is a great deal of muscular reinforcement across her shoulders, legs, arms and abdominal region most primarily. Scars dot across her body, minor nicks that left blemishes upon her rough skin but are faded enough to barely be noticeable. Underneath her clothing resides a very large, almost grotesque X shaped scar across her broad back, rarely seen given the outfits she wears and worn upon her body like a badge of shame rather than the honorable feeling Saeko gets when thinking of the visible scars her body holds. Her piercing blue eyes match the blue shade of her hair, albeit the latter being darker, most often worn in a high ponytail. She also pierces her ears, the piercings a memento from her childhood that she bears little memory of.
Outfits for Saeko vary depending on her mood at any given time, whether it is during down time between operations, and the weather. The first outfit she most commonly wears is her Tanjo Organization uniform. The second outfit is an alternative uniform swapping the shorts for larger cargo pants and granting Saeko a more formfitting top. The last outfit is another formfitting fixture, with canisters worn around her belt containing a variety of different combat-based items or provisions such as water/tea.
Regardless of her outfit she always wears the iconic red scarf of the Tanjo Organization, ordinarily worn around her neck.
PERSONALITY NINDO: "Family is everything."
A taciturn, strong, courageous and distant woman, one look at Saeko and you realize quite quickly why she's a higher ranking member of the Tanjo Organization. A face as cold as steel bores flame-fueled eyes down upon you when you gaze up at her, striking fear in the hearts of the organization's enemies and inspiring confidence in the souls of her allies. The voice that speaks, sparingly, is rough, coarse and masculine, tomboyish but still noticeably feminine. It speaks volumes as a metaphor to the personality Saeko holds and how her existence, at times, can be an oxymoron. With many years of life under her belt Saeko is a learned, yet secretly pessimistic individual with a misanthropic view pointed toward those not within the Tanjo Organization. Many of these elements stem from personality traits Saeko is aware of, though left entirely unaware as to their origin.
Her reputation within the organization befits her moniker, "Oakheart." A steadfast and resolute soldier, Saeko follows the orders she's given with pinpoint accuracy and functions more akin to a monster, at times, more than a human being. Her eyes pierce through emotional defenses and she towers over most of her compatriots, creating a physical shield with which to protect the other members of the organization when conducting their operations as effective eco-terrorists. It is through Saeko that the Tanjo Organization intend to increase their reputation to greater heights, this woman serving as a shining beacon of what the Seedlings should aspire to be. Her connection with nature, on the surface, is strong, enabling Saeko to remain as rooted as the trees she intends to protect even in the face of more powerful shinobi with machinery at their disposal. Truthfully, Saeko does not care for nature nor does she pay much mind to industrialization causing deforestation. For Saeko, family is what matters.
Saeko is a woman to whom identity is quite important, as is a purpose for remaining alive. When found by the Tanjo's predecessor at a young age she did not have a direction in life, nor a goal to sought for. She felt indebted to those who had saved her and has, since, acted in a capacity within which she gives back to those she feels deserve so much from her. A special connection has been seeded within Saeko by the Tanjo and, because of this, it has grown into a mighty oak that is willing to give it's life not for the cause, but for the individuals. Though seemingly a hero in the eyes of many Saeko does not care nor pay any mind to titles, nor reputations, nor how others view her. She will always view herself in a much darker, more negative light, but this is not purely pessimism due to failure nor due to the reputation the Tanjo have gained. It is, instead, due to a darkness that lingers inside of Saeko's existence.
A dark, twisted urge lingers within the very pit of Saeko's soul. A voice that whispers for her to commit the most heinous of violent acts, something that pushes her to nearing the brink of insanity when she acts to suppress it. Giving in to the urge grants Saeko a terrible power, a great power, yet feeds a sadistic and destructive tendency that threatens to rip her very soul asunder. It is because of losing herself to this urge that Saeko has gained a reputation that has yet to be pinpointed to her as an individual. "Fenrir", they speak of amid the woods. A demonic beast of destruction and the end times. The "Fenrir" they speak of in hushed whispers is Saeko. With hair aflame and eyes glowing golden she rips her targets apart with her bare hands, witnessing her actions through the eyes of a metaphorical puppeteer, only being wrenched free from her urges' grasp once the deed has been done and she is left to witness the aftermath.
HISTORY Unbeknownst, Saeko's origins lie within the Onigo Clan of Demon Country, both of her parents heralding from it but having this fact be unknown to them as they got together and had a child. Fleeing across the world due to their demonic instincts slowly taking their bodies over Saeko was abandoned within a forest in Wood Country, left to die to the animals that inhabited it. As luck would have it Saeko was found by aggressive protestors belonging to an unnamed group of revolutionaries, utilized as a reasoning behind a ceasefire. Never an aggressively expressive person Saeko acted more akin to a slave than a human, to the unfortunate grimacing of the organization's leadership. They wanted Saeko to grow up like a normal child, yet Saeko refused to budge. This was all she knew and it was what life was for her for many years.
As Saeko grew older she was educated about the ways of the world, the organization having a good number of former shinobi within it. She learned of the ways of the world and how to defend herself, learned what the cause was and who the key players were. As Saeko's brain developed, however, she also learned of that insatiable hunger for violence that was bred inside of her. Sourced from her Onigo ancestry, the blood flowing through her veins itself manifested as a second individual, a voice, an inner demon pushing her. She got into violent confrontations and was punished by those she now called family, but the strength she exhibited caused her to start to put that aggression toward more constructive means. She made friends yet did not understand the meaning of the word, was made an idol out of yet she still did not understand. As the group's members would rally behind one another and protest, Saeko was made present at these protests. Her muscular body, over time becoming larger, served as a deterrent toward violent acts against them and she assisted in their retreat as shinobi, holding more skill and thus more power over them, appeared on the scene.
But unlike her compatriots, Saeko did not need to know special techniques nor specialized jutsu to be able to fight. The first time she let her dark urges take over and compel her into combat, her fellows could not believe their eyes. Some balked in fear, others cheered Saeko on... but what they witnessed at the end of the confrontation, Saeko bloodied, damaged yet strangling the life out of the shinobi in front of her, was absolutely mortifying. Terrifying. Saeko gained a mild reputation to be feared even by those she called family, and it was because of this that she now aimed to suppress those urges. Control those urges. Do what she could to maintain them. It was during this time that Saeko met a Wannin who claimed to recognize what she was exhibiting. They also claimed she was the one behind the rumored "Fenrir" identity. Upset and fearful she gave in to her urges and attempted to kill the man only to be rebuked. He exhibited the same skill as her, the same red hair and changed features. His name, rather an alias, was "Blade" in regards to the longsword he carried.
Blade offered to hide Saeko's identity as "Fenrir" in exchange for being allowed to take her away from the group for a brief period of time. Though hesitant when the man claimed he knew why Saeko had these violent outbursts they opted to trust him, always welcoming to outsiders who supported their cause and wanting the best for her. For many years Saeko trained under his tutelage, learning shinobi arts to a baseline degree. She was also taught a very dangerous aspect of Taijutsu involving the Eight Gates within a person's body. Though her body was torn up multiple times during this training she pushed through due to "Blade"s tutelage and encouragement. On top of this, "Blade" also taught Saeko to to control the urges she was given from her blood rather than simply suppress them. Blade told Saeko they were a tool to be used rather than something to be feared. Over time the Wannin also became a Nukenin alongside Saeko, revealing the mercenary missions he had undertaken and asking Saeko to join him. Loyally she did, having grown a close connection with the man. This connection would be severed violently as Saeko reached her twenties. The man she had looked up to like a brother would stab her in the back in a major and dangerous way.
As the pair's journey brought them back to the Wood Country Saeko was informed of a job Blade had received to "deal" with some protestors chaining themselves to trees. He claimed they were ridiculous and unserious and that murdering them, as asked, would be unnecessary. Saeko was fueled by a massive rage and when she appeared on scene she immediately attacked the villagers attempting to bulldoze the forest. She was stopped by Blade who informed her that over the years he had been "seasoning" her, as it were, to inevitably utilize her to take down the growing organization. They were a meaningless group but enough of a thorn that Blade could make a lot of money to dismantle them. Betrayed for the first time in her life the voice became a loud Banshee shriek of a yell in her mind, and she gave in fully rather than temporarily. The fight between the pair was violent, legendary and ironically caused the deforestation of the area on it's own. By the end Saeko had won, being delivered a large and grotesque X-shaped wound on her back.
Wounded, broken, and tracking down members of this organization Saeko discovered that it had merged with a group that had recently, in the last ten years, come onto the scene. This group was known as the Tanjo Organization and, albeit with wariness, Saeko tracked them down. She was welcomed with open arms as members of the Tanjo remembered Saeko from her days within the progenitor group, though wariness was still everpresent. Over time Saeko began to lose the immense edginess she had gained alongside her overall mistrust, beginning to view the Tanjo as a family more than blind, careless revolutionaries. Developing a dedication to the group Saeko gained the reputation she has now, gained over the next several years as a stalwart member of the organization. She bore all embarrassment and cared little toward how ridiculous and goofy the Tanjo looked when running away from a scene of a protest. Nowadays Saeko has begun to show other members of the Tanjo what she learned during her time with Blade, teaching the young Seedlings and functioning as a guardian to make sure they could grow up in a much safer and nicer environment.
But the voice still lingers, still whispers in Saeko's ear. It won't be long before, once again, she is given little choice but to give in to her Dark Urge...
FIGHTING STYLE Crush. Kill. Destroy. Maim. Brutalize. Saeko is a Taijutsu machine of an individual, following through with her outward appearance and demeanor. She is a woman who can benchpress tree logs and does so on a daily basis for the sake of keeping her physique up, boasts an absolutely impressive and aggressive amount of stamina, and can tank hits like... a giant piece of steel on treads. She carries weaponry but only as supplementary tools rather than holding any real kind of prowess in their utilization. She steps hard, punches hard, kicks and strikes with the power to shatter boulders, and will absolutely fuck you up if given the opportunity.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Onigata lit: Oni Form The blood flowing through Saeko's veins belongs to an ancestry of the Onigo Clan, enabling her to shift into an "Oni Form." The form Saeko takes causes her skin to turn bright red, her eyes to glow white and her sclera to turn bright orange. Her teeth become fangs and her fingers become clawed, with her overall body's musculature changing to make her a good deal beefier. Over time her skin will also begin to turn red, growing redder the longer this form is taken.
For Saeko, this form is attached to a change in personality and manifests, passively, as an urge for wanton destruction. When giving into the urge Saeko becomes a violent, loud, aggressive and bloodthirsty beast who will stop at nothing to destroy everything around her. This does not discern between friend and foe, with Saeko's only concern being the destruction and brutalization of whatever is in front of her at the given time.
Because of the change to her muscles and quickening of her blood flow, in this form Saeko's reaction time, strength, stamina, and durability are enhanced to an intense and impressive level. She also becomes capable of delivering concussive blasts from each of her blows, nothing that reaches the level of jutsu or energy waves, just a demonstration and physical appearance of just how powerful her blows are. An aura of chakra also appears around her that is bright red in coloration.
The Dark Urge Passively, due to the voice whispering in Saeko's ear she will constantly be faced with a choice during which she must choose to give in to the voice in her head or fight against it. While fighting to suppress it Saeko suffers a drop in her overall physical states and loses focus as her focus shifts toward fighting the urge. When this decision comes up it also causes Saeko to drop what she's doing to focus on the voice in her head. As a tradeoff to this Saeko gains a passive, innate protection against anything that may attempt to interfere with her mind. The inner voice that is a manifestation of her Onigo blood is a possessive little guy.
Enhanced Chakra Reserves Though her control is absolutely terrible Saeko is an intense force to be reckoned with, her large chakra reserves being sourced from her clan blood but also a natural affinity she's had since she was born. It is because of this that Saeko also has a higher amount of stamina than those lacking her reserves.
The Eight Gates The Eight Gates are eight specific tenketsu on a person's Chakra Pathway System. They limit the overall flow of chakra within a person's body. The basis for the idea of the chakra gates comes from the body's limits on the functions within it. This makes the body much weaker, but it keeps the body from expiring too soon. By undergoing intense training, one can learn how to open these gates allowing the user to surpass their own physical limits at the cost of extreme damage to their own body. The effects of each gate last four rounds in a battle thread with the fifth round exposing the user to some fatigue proportional to the gate that was last opened (first gate gives least fatigue, eight gives the most). This fatigue can temporarily be waived by opening the next gate.
Saeko learned how to open the Gates and utilize them in combat through the tutelage of a Wannin by the name of "Blade". Warned of the repercussions Saeko continuously shirked them due to not caring about the condition of her own body when it came to protecting the lives of others and serving a goal. As of the current time Saeko has shown the ability to open 7 of the 8 Gates.
