Constantly windswept long, brown hair and teal blue eyes. Short, with a lighter shade of skin that denotes her heritage hailing from outside of Sunagakure. Free of blemishes, if you don't count the constant bruising damage to her hands and legs as a result of constant training. Gifted in many areas, one particular causing her strife growing up and only causing her more problems as her body's developed. Fairly athletic, with a body that screams "great metabolism" and invites jealousy much to Miki's chagrin. Averagely white, slightly yellowish teeth, a standard and average human coloration rather than the result of any lacks of physical hygiene. Well kept fingernails that vary in paint choice dependent on mood but are most oft left unpainted.
Clothing style varies quite a bit, dependent on mood. Due to a great amount of time spent within the Wind Country and Sunagakure, there is no noticeable strain in wearing clothing that covers more of the body but strain does exist should Miki opt to wear thicker coats, jackets or anything similar. Miki's most common outfit, when her mood doesn't suit any of the below choices consists of the following items: A long-sleeved white shirt, black colored frilly miniskirt, long kneesocks, and a pair of combat boots. A necklace rounds out Miki's most common outfit that is a memento of her late mother, said to have been made by her for her child to wear when she was old enough.

PERSONALITY NINDO: "Burn like a star and shine like a diamond. Don't ever let them forget about you..."
On the surface, you'd think Miki Hoshikawa isn't too different from girls around the same age... but appearance is where those comparisons stop. There was always something rumored to be "off" about her while she was in the Academy and even to this day. Something that didn't quite feel right. She was still able to communicate, never had any issues with social expression, and was an ace when it came to written exams. Her talents created this air of haughtiness and supremacy in the hearts and minds of not only those her age but also of her teachers. It didn't help that anytime someone tried to connect with her she came up with excuses, only seeming to associate with those relevant to her current interests or focus. The truth of the matter with Miki is one that is much sadder than most people realize, something she keeps hidden and locked away inside of her heart.
Miki isn't some kind of robot, pampered princess, or straight-A student who only cares about her studies. Miki's successes and the personality that drives her to succeed are simply results of something Miki believes very strongly, born from one of her most intense fears: The desire and drive to be remembered, to make her mark somewhere prominent. Miki doesn't know what it's like to have the silver spoon, to have anything handed to her on a silver platter. She's worked to get where she is, hard and aggressive, but this doesn't mean she's unlikeable or unapproachable. She's a very expressive person once you get close enough to know her beyond the air she might give off. She definitely fits the mold of a "tsundere", but can just as easily smile as she can bite your head off. She's layered, as most humans are.
Tragedy has turned Miki into what she is, but the core value of wanting her name in lights is a seed planted since her childhood. She has braced the storm of her life surprisingly well for a girl her age, no doubt due to being born with a high intellect. It's the only thing she views "special" about her, but that only drives her to work even harder. She is no pessimist, preferring realistic optimism. She believes anyone and everything can achieve, but sneers and scoffs at those with pedigrees. She barely hides it which can lead to trouble, and lacks the advanced social graces to talk her way out of every situation. She has a strong bond with her father, stronger than steel, and the love they express for one another is what has allowed them both to carry on after her mother's passing.
Beyond all of that, though? She's pretty normal! She laughs at dumb jokes, smiles at compliments, has a wide smirk when belting out sarcastic quips, and can behave in such a way that you'd miss the fact she struggles with thoughts of throwing her best friends under the bus just for the sake of succeeding. These constant urges are pushed away more oft than not but cause her to constantly be at a mental crossroads, trying to pick the side that acts in what she believes to be a "good" morality rather than letting her fears take hold. Miki Hoshikawa is, once again, layered... kind of like an onion, but she smells way better.
