"So ya tellin me I've been out here this long and I'm still not a huntress?" Arashi would rest her hands beneath her head, eyes narrowed as she followed the lead Saeko as they moved into the night. It wasn't unsual for a trip to be made within the desert at this point in time. It was far cooler and the heat wasn't as damning upon travelers. That didn't stop the chill from affecting any point of movement though. At least, for some it could have been dangerous... Arashi had more than enough defenses that allowed for limited sensations to take hold, that included weather. Along with her genetics, it was far easier for her to adapt to her surroundings in the year since she started training with the Saeko Clan. Still, it did little to make her less grumpy... Not only had she not become a huntress in their eyes, but she had been awaken from what could be a good night's sleep to be taken outdoors from her tent. Hardly anything good came from her not getting sleep, and it was far worse considering the situation. It was a full moon... "ከእኛ ጋር የመምጣትዎ ጊዜ እና ጊዜዎ ያልተጠበቀ ነበር ....እናትዎ ዝግጁ መሆንዎን ለማረጋገጥ የፈለጉት ነገር ነው ..." (Your arrival and time with us was unexpected....it is something that your mother wished to ensure you were prepared for...) Releasing a breath, Arashi was certainly not about to argue with a suggestion made by her mother of all people. If anything, had it been from her father there may have been some conflict. Still, this clan was her mother's heart and soul. If she didn't think she was ready when she first got here, she was likely right. It also meant that whatever was involved with this rite, it wasn't for just anyone... "Okay...so what exactly does it involve?" Placing one hand within her pocket, the young female would then tilt her head to the side as she raised her brow. "በቅርቡ በደንብ ያውቃሉ ... ና ... ትንሽ ተጨማሪ ብቻ አለን ..." (You will know soon enough...come..we have only a bit further...) "It's just...I really don't got time for the whole mystic and cryptic tonight...it's really important that I make sure to clear out before it gets too late ya know?" Pushing her thumb behind her, Arashi was trying to be as clear as possible that her situation was not going to allow for a drawn out ceremony of sisterhood and holding hands. She didn't expect as much, but there was no telling with things like this. The fifteen year old was more than aware of the stereotype, but honestly with her mood already in a bit of a flux, she was doing better than usual in being clear of just how much trouble would be involved if she didn't get somewhere far away from the clan.

"የአውሬው ተፈጥሮ ኃይለኛ ኃይል ነው ... ቢሆንም ዛሬ ማታ መሆን አለበት ..." (The nature of the beast is a powerful force...however it must be tonight...) Arashi would sigh before rubbing the back of her neck, still in pursuit of the older woman as they began to approach a faint glow in the distance. There were cries and calls that echoed like wild beasts, each one distinct from the other as they carried along side one another. In growing closer, she'd see the collected gathering of Saeko huntresses, each one masked with markings that showed their age, others with fresher faces that matched her own. Their attire was more tribal, but that had always been something Arashi had witnessed with the Saeko. Though some had taken on the culture of their Sunagakure allies, others remained bonded by tradition, and wore such animal hides with pride. Not that she probably didn't look any stranger to them... Considering her heritage, the Granddaughter to the Chief appearing in such urban clothes likely gave off the impression that she had little interest in becoming one of them or learning their culture. Though considering how she had started off in nothing less than a sack tanned shirt and slacks, she was making some strides in adjusting. "Pends on the beast..." As she mumbled her response, she'd find herself place down close to the fire, looking on at the others as they nodded in her direction. This group had been together since she had arrived, so there was a closeness in their party. Enough so that she could easily slide over and ask just what the hell was going on. "You do not know? Silly Ara....the rite is the process in which we hunt as one for the Great dragon!" "The Great dragon?" "Yes! The Great Dragon hold court within the badlands and they mate there! The largest of their kind carries with them great treasures that provide for the clan....big pearls and food for our travels!" In watching the girl rotate her hand across her belly, Arashi would raise her brow before then holding a sheepish grin as she then leaned back into her position. "We're huntin a dragon that holds a pearl....where have I heard that before?"

While Arashi could easily try and guess just what kind of creature they were attempting to confront, the easiest route would likely be just to shut up and listen. After all, the Saeko had roamed the desert for centuries at this point. If there was anyone that was aware of just how dangerous such a creature might be, it would be them. Still, it didn't stop her curiosity...nor her attempt at piecing it all together. The Saeko had to get resources from somewhere. Be it through trading or hunting. The more natural response to a world where such actions were slowly dying would be to adapt to that change. A pearl from a dragon would certainly cash in quite the finders fee, and she had no doubt that her mother was aiding in financing the Clan through such a collection. In truth, such a object must have cashed in quite the price on the market, especially if they were doing this rite once a year. It didn't seem like a daily thing, especially with the seriousness of those around her. It was almost sacred...which made Arashi all the more eager to get out of here... The last thing she wanted was to upset a ritual that had been done for years by possibly eating the hunting party. Not that she'd done that before, but Shukaku was still a monster at the end of the day....she couldn't really say just what he was capable of. Not to mention that the full moon was their time to have control. That was the agreement...and the price for peace of mind in her day to day.

With the passage of time and the arrival of more huntresses from the Saeko, it seemed to finally come the moment of truth as their lead would speak. "እህቶች...በዚች የምንሰበሰብበት ዋዜማ...ለሥርዓት ዝግጅት እናደርጋለን። ይህ ወቅት በትውልዶች ተላልፏል እናም ዛሬ ማታ እንቀጥላለን ..." (Sisters...on this eve where we gather...we prepare for the Rite. This moment has been passed down through generations and tonight we continue it...) As cheers and war cries echoed into the night, Arashi would remain where she was as she watched with a calm expression. Honestly, she'd wish to share in the thrill of hunting down a dragon, but her thoughts were presently on the fact that she had to keep someone in check. "በዚች ሌሊት...ከጨረቃ በታች...የወደቁትን እህቶቻችንን ጥንካሬ ወስደን እንደ በረሃ የማይሞት ፍጡርን አሳትፈን ሽልማት ነው እንላለን።" (On this night...under the moon...we draw on the strength of our fallen sisters and engage a creature as undying as the desert and claim it's prize) With the woman moving around the camp, she'd eye each of the females seated among their ranks, each one hardened or prepared to engage the challenge with vigor. Each one ready to complete the rite that had been done since the clan had emerged from the desert. Each one ready to place themselves among those that had come before as huntresses. "በየዓመቱ ልጆቻችንን በሥርዓተ ሥርዓቱ ላይ እንዲለማመዱ እናሠለጥናለን ... በየዓመቱ እየጠነከረን እንሄዳለን እና ዛሬ ምሽት ምንም ልዩነት አይኖረውም ... ዝግጁ ነዎት ... እና አንድ ላይ ... አውሬውን እንወስዳለን!" (Each year we train our young to take on the rite....each year we grow stronger and tonight will be no different...you are ready...and together...we will take the beast!)

The women began to rally to the command of their leader, prompting them to begin preparing to move out as they gathered their gear. Each with their own arsenal in performing the hunt, it varied in which was the most effective against such a creature when it came to a joint effort in taking down prey. Some preferred the usage of spears while others saw the bow and arrow as more practical. There were some that simply use knives to get in close, and others that contended with the idea of physically closing the gap to try and wear these monsters down. Arashi...honestly more inclined to use what she knew, summoned her Sand Gourd to the field as she adjusted it's strap across her shoulder. Yet, there was the flicker of pain in having done so mentally, prompting her to reel slightly as she narrowed her vision. As one eyes glimmered in the hue of gold, the young teen would shake her head as her vision returned to normal, doing her best to retain control. Perhaps it would be best to get this done as quickly as possible, and then find the nearest cave to huddle in for the night. Time was of the essence and if she wasted it, it wasn't just her that would pay for it.

Before long, with a summoning cry of action, the group would begin their hunt... Their pack of female huntresses stalked the desert swiftly, with movements near invisible to the naked eye. Their frames hidden in shadows, save for the ray of light given by the moon and stars. It was a compelling display, one Arashi had seen before in her time here, and rarely had she managed to keep up with them until tonight. It could be that her adrenaline had finally caught up to them, or simply the enhance nature of her being out and active during the full moon. In either case, the Suna Chunin was fully involved with the others, keeping low to the ground and moving across the desert at speeds matching that of a predator. With their mission in sight, the group would soon stop on the edges of the badlands, looking toward the decrypted ruins and cracked earth. The sight of lumbering mounds proved life among the darkness, and their position encamped. In closer observation, and the nasty smell that wavered from their surroundings, these were not the legendary beasts in which Arashi had envisioned in her mind. Of course, she had considered the off-chance that such a title could easily be mistaken for something similar, but what appeared as dragons, were no more than lizards of unusual size. "Huh...should have known such things didn't exist..."
