If you're going by looks she was born with, before learning the transformation jutsu to differentiate from her split– she looks mismatched. Zaruyoshi has heterochromia, her left eye is amber like her father's and her right eye is green like her mother's. Her natural hair color is actually black like her father's on the right half and pink on the left half of her scalp. Even her skin tone is lighter than her mother's but far darker than her father's. In essence, she's practically a perfect 50/50 when it comes to features of both her mother and father. Otherwise, she is rather short and very fit for her age due to her other split working out. In fact, she has a visible four-pack of abs as well as noticeable biceps and forearms.
When going out of her way to make which split is currently out clearer, Zaruyoshi starts by making both eyes amber and her mid length loc hair fully black. She also styles it to where some of it is in her face and hung loosely. As for Adakichi, she prefers making her hair tied back completely and pink, while making her eyes both green. Other factors at play are Zaruyoshi prefers to take little space, hunches over slightly and never shows any expressions on her face, with her eyes giving off a relaxed, lazy and tired expression. Adakichi, on the other hand, loves taking up space, is very expressive and tends to have a cheerful if not cocky default expression.
As for usual attire, Zaruyoshi tends to dress more conservatively, short sleeve shirt, pants that reach at least halfway to her ankles and a white altered coat, similar to those that medical would sometimes shinobi wear. As for Adakichi, she tends to dress more revealing, sleeveless shirts, short shorts and a sleeveless hoodie.

Due to the Haruno Clan’s hijutsu, Zaruyoshi is technically only one of two different people inside the same mind and sharing the same body. The split is practically perfect, as both personalities go by different names, dress differently and even give each other time to train, make friends and more. They even refer to each other as a group when talking, often using pronouns like "we” or "they” then switching to singular pronouns on a dime. Zaruyoshi is only the main personality because she was the "first/original” and her personality is less likely to cause the least amount of trouble.
Zaruyoshi [Outer Voice]:
The Haruno is an odd one, given she developed antisocial personality disorders and severely lacks empathy as well as most emotions. Not to say she is completely emotionless but she does rarely feel any strong ones almost at any given moment, even if she has a loose idea of what they are or should feel like. However, that's only because of deductive reasoning added with whatever little she can feel to make a hypothesis. Otherwise, they're mostly just ideas and concepts to her, something she hopes to understand in the far future but currently are beyond her. This gives her very hard to read or for someone to get an idea of what she is really thinking.
She has the ultimate poker face, with no real expression and a voice devoid of emotion as well, being dry and monotone. She doesn't even really raise her voice either unless she absolutely needs to for whatever reason. Zaruyoshi is also not very talkative either, usually not saying anything unless spoken to or if she really feels like she needs to. She comes off as robotic, aloof and mysterious at times due to having a quiet nature to her. Due to lacking the ability to feel emotions strongly and her lack of empathy does make her less of a moral person, usually using logic, social norms, expectations of her family and peers to inform her on what's usually appropriate or not in the moral sense.
Even then, especially as someone highly interested in the medical field and human anatomy, it probably isn't a good idea to leave her to her own devices too much if possible. Not that she is bloodthirsty, but she wouldn't be above performing less than moral experiments just to answer questions or develop new techniques in the future. On the bright side, she is very patient, capable of reasoning, reliable and obedient, so she isn't that difficult of a person to work with and keep under control if needed. Of course, while extremely smart in the academic sense, she is very socially awkward and oblivious. She doesn't really take in account other's emotions after all.
Thus, she can come off as rude when she's being honest and just giving an opinion or observation. Zaruyoshi isn't one who likes to be in the spotlight, she rather not draw too much attention to herself, sometimes going out of her way to make her seem average. She is capable of leading, but rather chooses to do it more indirectly, like giving out suggestions or working more behind the scenes. In fact, she can actually be kind of lazy. Keep in mind she is only a kunoichi because of family obligations and more pragmatic reasons, like being able to make decent money and open up avenues to gain more knowledge. If it wasn't for her genuine love for science and medicine, the Haruno wouldn't have any true interests in being a shinobi at all beyond pragmatic and social reasons.
She is very observant, curious and actually quite formal as well as polite, having good manners almost to a fault. She doesn't even swear really. Her hobbies outside of shinobi work include shogi, reading, studying human anatomy, puzzle games, trivia, herbalism, cloud watching and more studying– which hopefully shows what she views as important or interesting. Finally, she does have an instinctive desire to help those around her, patriotism and even want for friends as much as knowledge. She just has a hard time putting her thumb on these feelings, as even if they're there she doesn't fully understand them, only going along with it. It's similar to her confidence in her skills and pride in her abilities that she also exhibits, despite her lack of emotions.
Adakichi [Inner Voice]:
Her other half is practically the embodiment of all of her seemingly lost emotions and thus is on the other side of the coin of Zaruyoshi. The three big things about Adakichi is the fact that she is extremely eccentric, hates boredom as well as boring people and loves combat. Her favorite way to find out if someone is boring or not is to ask them "what kind of person is their type”, as such an odd question can give them a read on them usually. She does ask other questions too in order to accomplish the same thing. If they give what she considers a boring answer, she's been known to get visibly irritated and angry. She has gone so far as to even challenge them to a fight, if not just starting one outright.
Adakichi is seen as a meathead because to a large extent she is. She enjoys posing, showing off her muscles and low-key wishes she could just solve most problems with her fists. To her, physical combat is one of her passions as is working out and training to get stronger. She loves nothing more than to get her blood pumping and muscles moving, as to her, there's no greater thrill or experience. It's the absolute height of ecstasy to the Haruno. Speaking of passions, what she wants to see more than anything is other's "fever” or passions, the thing they're most enthusiastic about. It's what she thinks makes someone interesting instead of boring. She believes people should be open books, wearing their emotions on their sleeve and above all else have passion for something.
If she shows an emotion, it's done without any real shame as she doesn't care to be stoic or stone faced like her other half. If she's crying either from joy or sadness, if she's angry, if she's disgusted or even disappointed– it will be expressed, even to the fullest at times. Adakichi is quite loud, rude and doesn't really have a filter, so her mouth often gets her into trouble. She tends to have a slight attitude with a casually aggressive manner of speaking. She swears a lot, will playfully say they're gonna "kill/beat you”, has a grandiose overconfident view of herself and is cocky as well as very arrogant. They have no sense of insecurity nor self doubt and have a lot of raw, natural willpower.
One thing Adakichi has in common with Zaruyoshi is that they have the inability to feel fear as an emotion. Not only that but they both are actually quite intelligent, genius even. Though, Adakichi focuses her high intelligence on things like how to effectively harm someone, analyzing opponents, how to optimize her body as well as effectively working out to strengthen herself. She aims to live as regret free as humanly possible and is the type to move forward no matter what. She has a rather bad habit of being stubborn and headstrong, sometimes impulsive. Not to mention she can have one hell of a temper when actually set off.
Lastly, Adakichi does seem to have an innate desire to protect, help and guide people– especially her comrades and fellow villagers. She might not come off that way with her loud personality but she really does want to have friends and protect them, even if they're weaker or not as smart as her.
HISTORY
Zaruyoshi was born to Haruno Hinayu and Chikamatsu Kiyoshi of Sunagakure no Sato. However, she stayed single and in Konohagakure no Sato after finding out she was pregnant, not really concerned with finding the father and such, as she understood at the time it was a simple fling. After being born, she had a relatively easy early childhood, nothing really special. Her mother was a combat medic and she never got married after having her daughter. When Zaruyoshi was about 4 years old, her mother immediately began to teach her the basics needed to become a shinobi as well as started the training needed for the young girl to develop the clan's hijutsu.
When she was 5 years old, she was in the academy where she would learn what she would need for her future career as a shinobi of the village. The sessions needed to develop her hijutsu were also going swimmingly so far. As time went on, she tried to adjust to her personality changes stemming from her hijutsu training as well as academy life. This made her slightly unable to acquire any real friends nor have much proper free time as time went on. At the very least she did discover that she had high potential in medical ninjutsu. Eventually, when she was 8 years old, her personality would finally split into two, causing noticeable changes in her personality.
It made it hard to interact with the other kids due to how Zaruyoshi acted, being not the most social and would rather read a book and study than play with other kids. She wouldn't really let Adakichi out very often at first, as she was still getting used to being technically two different people now. Zaruyoshi would rather focus on her studies and not draw attention to herself. In fact, she would go out of her way to have averages if not below average scores on every test and exam. She didn't seem to really have an interest in showing the teachers nor the other academy students how intelligent she actually was. She even made sure to make at least two other average "friends” with two other introverts to try and blend even more in the background to keep up her facade.
That wouldn't last. She couldn't escape Adakichi forever. In fact, she'd eventually become friends with her split. She'd talk with them regularly. As a few more years passed, she'd keep up hiding her true intelligence levels while her and her own split personality would grow closer due to the isolation she would put herself in. It even went to the point where she let Adakichi out for at least two to three days out of the week so she could have some of her autonomy as well as train, finding she had high potential and skill for taijutsu. Currently, they're now on the cusp of fully passing the academy and becoming a genin.
However, one tragedy would happen. Their mother would go on a mission near Iwagakure no Sato border and has still not returned with the other two shinobi she was with. It has been two weeks and no one knows what happened. At this point, they were declared MIA, leaving Adakichi and Zaruyoshi alone and she was sent to the local orphanage until they could find out who thry could live with due to still being rather young.
FIGHTING STYLE
Zaruyoshi [Outer Voice]:
Zaruyoshi usually isn't much of a front line fighter when with another person. She prefers doing her job as a medic, analyzing her opponents or the situation and healing the other person. This also means evading attacks, only getting up close and personal when necessary. When one on one or forced to fight more personally, she usually gathers help, extra Intel and guidance from her split, Adakichi who is more of the fighter of the two. She also uses her higher intelligence as well as her evasion skills to try and get an advantage in order to counter strike or find an opening/weakness in her opponent. That or she'll just trigger a switch to let Adakichi take the wheel and fight.
Adakichi [Inner Voice]:
Her other half is far more forward. Not that she can't be tactical or utilize her intelligence like Zaruyoshi, she just likes to be direct. She likes to fight and doesn't hesitate to swing on someone. She likes to overwhelm her opponents with her taijutsu skills, while also taking joy in the fight. She'll taunt her opponents to get them to react and has no problem playing a little dirty in order to get a win. She also can have the habit of either dragging a fight out to show off or straight up end the fight as quickly as possible. She's quite unpredictable and tends to think in the moment.

Split Mind of the Haruno
When she was about eight years old, she finally developed a split personality that the Haruno are known for. Each split has their own personality, sole specializations and can even Kai each other out of genjutsu. Although she still needs to work on developing proper synergy between the splits. To trigger a switch between personalities, she uses a mixture of oranges and lavender.
