Nashida sighs softly as she has a rare relaxing moment, away from Yukigakure and in the wilderness, near one of the very few beachheads that the island nation has access to. Granted, it wasn't really much of a vacation, as she was there with her lover and friend for a bit of a training exercise involving the whale summoning contract that belongs to the village, with Jun trying to learn more about the whales and interacting with them to learn more about them. She'd already trained another shinobi in the use of another summoning contract, this one involving the ice centipedes, though she could only currently summon the weakest of them. At least Nashida herself could use the opportunity for some rest and relaxation. While the stress of the Chuunin Exams was looming ever closer, Nashida felt that she was ready.
Jun's own work in the Chuunin Exams had resulted in her achieving a higher rank, though her lover had been hard on herself over what she herself might have felt was a lack of success, since she hadn't earned high marks like some of the other Genin that had been fully recommended and even endorsed as Chuunin by the Raikage. Nashida herself could understand the need to succeed, and not just to succeed but to excel at something. She'd been training and learning for years to be able to make her coat lined with steel thread, and although it had passed muster with the leader of the Tantetsu clan, she had worried for long years over whether or not it was actually good enough. The blonde was currently wearing her usual blue uniform, although she had also packed a bathing suit for herself, in case she wanted to swim. It was starting to get to the summer months, after all, and in such warmth, the water wasn't supercooled below freezing temperatures, and the heat was even enough that it was drawing whales nearer the southern shore, the perfect area for Jun to do some studying of the whales.
Nashida turns to face her lover, and gives her one of those rare smiles. They weren't just for anyone, not even Daigo had seen her smile, and certainly Kazeo, her old mentor, had never seen one. Nashida's smiles were reserved for her parents, and for Jun, and for her teammate, the people that she cares for most in this world, and particularly on this island nation.
