Kai wandered up next to Setsuko. He crossed his arms and glanced over the colosseum. Not the first time he'd been in Kumogakure for a competition. Probably wouldn't be the last.
"You guys can't get enough of me, huh?" He teased over towards the Yanki. In a surprise twist, he patted his chest, showing off that he still had the Yanki clan shell of Kumogakure under his armor- The same one he'd been given for the chuunin exams.
"It's nice to be here again. Always fresher this high up..." He muttered, barely to himself as he looked over at Setsuko. He was glad he dragged this one along. The smile on her face made it all worth it. He knew, personally, the challenges most of his family faced, he was coming to terms with it.
And in a way, if he could do anything to help, he would. As long as it didn't cause him TOO much trouble...
Regardless, she spoke up about biting people, and Kai chuckled, offering her a smoke again. It was just part of what he did at this point, even if people shot it down. The smokes were cinnamon flavored- Delightful if actually taken- And more so then that? They were so well crafted they didn't have the same lung damaging properties as traditional cigarettes. Custom made, straight from Kusagakure.
"Try smoking. Can't open your mouth to bite people with one in your mouth." He pointed out wisely, before shaking his head.
"Don't worry though. This is going to be really fun. I can't wait to see some action..." He pulled the massive glaive off his back, which he didn't have for their boating mission.
This glaive was... Massive. Clearly a weapon of war- But he had given it an adjustment. The edge of the glaive, the blade end, had a rubber covering on it. This would mean he wouldn't cleave someones limbs off. You could fix a broken bone, but fixing a lost limb was a lot harder, and bruises were easier to heal than rippling blood loss.
"Just keep your eyes open. If I have to save your ass, you're never going to hear the end of it." He shot another tease at his cousin with a wink as he relaxed further, readying himself for the coming combat.
