Uncle Ikuno Another one from around the village - Ikuno is well known by both his clan and the village at large for being good with kids and spending time training future shinobi. Were it not for having been chosen as a potential Sage in his youth, perhaps he would have become the headmaster of the academy?
Funayurei A name given to Ikuno during his earlier days as a mercenary. Known for appearing out of nowhere to sink entire ships and/or coastal villages, he was given the name "Funayurei" after a particularly vicious myth about , anguished sea spirits. However, he has long since shed this name, and doesn't like the memories associated with such. APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 5' 11" (181 cm)

To look at Ikuno, one would not immediately think that he was nearly as old as he is. Perhaps it is his senjutsu that has kept him young and baby-faced, or perhaps he is merely gifted with natural grace, but despite coming up to the big four-oh, he barely looks like he's out of his twenties.
A significant part of that youthfulness might be his day-to-day life. Years of working out and training hard show on his body, rippling with muscles and scar tissue alike. Yet, in recent years, his more diplomatic and jovial duties have left him with a small amount of belly fat, a slight softening of the figure from too much wine and red meat.
Atop his head sits not just a mop of green hair, constantly somewhere between messy and smart no matter how much or how little he seems to fidget with it, but also strangely enough a pair of thick, ebony-black horns, pointed up towards the sky. His ancestors' habits of comingling with as many other clans as possible appears to have resulted in this genetic anomaly, likely from a distant Onigo relative. That said, it only helps him maintain the shamanistic, naturalistic appeal that he uses as a convenient cover in diplomatic circles.
Though born of a great comingling of clans, perhaps the most obvious inspiration were one to know where to look is Furinkazan. Beyond being frequently spotted with his equine familiar, he also chooses to wear rather traditional clothing, especially with insulated cloaks or leather gloves to help stave off the cold of the islands.
Lastly, as all ninjas must, Ikuno wears his forehead protector openly. Or, rather protectors, as he has two separate ones. Wearing the Yukigakure one around his waist, the symbol facing directly forwards, he wears a second on a long, white cloth across his chest like a bandolier. Said latter one bears a "酒" symbol instead of the village one,. This kanji translates to "sake", connoting a connection with the bears of Kiyo Valley.

FIGHTING STYLE In most settings, Ikuno is someone who sticks to his diplomat corps roots - if there is a situation that can be solved without violence, he will take that option. Though in his youth he was quite the terror of the seas, it would appear that after becoming a father, he has matured somewhat and become a little more patient and lenient with others.
That said, should it become clear that there is no other way out of a situation, Ikuno's fighting style could best be described as "violent". Or, more accurately, "hyper-violent". Being naturally strong and resilient, he has no problems throwing his weight around and crushing smaller, more vulnerable people into the dirt. Put philosophically, he believes the quicker a fight is resolved, the less risk of collateral damage.
Specializing primarily in close-range combat, whether that be through his fists or utilizing a weapon, he likes to overwhelm his opponents, crushing them swiftly and without mercy. Overall, he appears like a boxer, relying on strikes and overwhelming torrents of force over, say, grappling or holding techniques.
Due to the close quarters nature of his fighting style, he is intimately aware of the difficulty of finding time or space to meditate to manifest Nature Chakra. Thus, when he needs to bring in his Senjutsu techniques, he has learned to manifest shadow clones to charge energy for him, staying back and either remaining out of sight or being protected by one of his summons.
The other notable thing about Ikuno's fighting tactics is his skill in "collaborative combat" or, in other words, fighting alongside others. Whether on the back of his horse, alongside one of his summons, or even just collaborating with another member of his village, he is shockingly good at planning around an ally's tactics, contributing where he can and slipping out where he can't.

SAGE MODE APPEARANCE: Upon entering Sage Mode, Ikuno's body seems to rapidly shift. His hair grows exponentially, reaching down to about his waist, whilst his body seems to grow notably taller and more muscular. His nails sharpen into claws, his teeth appear to grow more akin to those of a carnivore, and his traditionally calm aura seems to warp into something far more sinister.
Most interestingly, his eyes are also radically changed by adopting this form. His irises swell, appearing to grow to fill his entire eye without a hint of sclera, whilst also shifting to a dark brown shade. Should he be seen in the dark, his eyes will actively appear to be luminescent, reflecting an unearthly white.
Around both eyes, a black crest forms into a single unbroken band across his face, appearing almost reminiscent of a blindfold as it evidently continues to form a whole ring around his entire face.
