Tsugime thought about how he was going to end up asking this mystery man for some help in training. Maybe an offer of some food or something, he had a little money saved up from chores and the such and could probably afford a couple bowls of ramen. Begging wasn't out of the question, either, though the clan elders probably would have yelled at him for making the Kiri branch look weak or something. Yeah, probably not a good idea. Decisions, decisions. Maybe, just maybe, if the rumors of their preferred styles of fighting were true then that would be the 'in' he needed and the man would be more willing to help out someone who liked the same stuff he did. It was a foolproof plan!
Of course, all of that went out the window as soon as the boy happened upon Hakurei, not expecting to see him so suddenly and just walking around alone. He had gotten his wish that the guy wasn't surrounded by clan elders but now all the spotlight had been thrust upon him without so much as a moment to prepare. "...Sup, I mean, good morning." Sup? Sup?! Well it was all surely going to crash and burn now. "Are you the guy from Yuki, by chance? They had said someone from up there was here, but no one said what they looked like and, well, you're the only one I don't recognize around here." That wasn't too difficult given the noticeable lack of numbers after both the Sanbi rampage and civil war had claimed so many lives had made keeping track of who's who rather easy.
He had rambled long enough, it was time to get to the meat and potatoes of the conversation. "They also said you can combine our ice stuff with taijutsu. Is that possible? I'm trying to do that, too, but I can't really figure out how." In truth it wasn't so much that Tsugime couldn't figure out how to synergize his Hyoton with taijutsu, it was that he didn't know how to form ice in the first place. The boy hoped his rambling and series of questions hadn't been off putting, but the kid had a lot to say and needed to make every word count.
