Josuke only really knew of Yukari in passing due to her being a superior officer, but otherwise didn't have much interaction with her. As a skilled medic, though, she was well learned in chakra control, an impressive feat indeed. While in a battle of attrition, this sometimes meant an individual with larger chakra reserves could last longer, but someone trained to control their chakra could almost always guarantee that no extra chakra was wasted, using only what was necessary for a given technique. This skill was vital for being an effective medic, and equally so for learning more complex forms of genjutsu, something Josuke aspired to learn one day.

That said, he was also fully aware that Yukari was not the most...friendly, even to her allies. Or at least that how it seemed from afar. He was dubious that she would actually be willing to teach him, but more scared of having to learn under her. No doubt she was skilled but the few times he'd even briefly interacted with her had not exactly been joyous occasions.

Taking a few deep breaths and closing his eyes, he made his way to the Tokonatsu clan compound. Knocking on the entrance in hopes someone would answer, he patiently waited to see if Yukari was available and willing to humor him with some training. If he had to put away his soft and kind side so as not to immediately cry in front of her, then he would do exactly that.

Had Yukari belonged to any clan other than the Tokonatsu, Josuke might have caught her in the middle of her morning ablutions, makeup only half-applied and her straw-yellow hair wrapped up in a towel; but the Tokonatsu demanded nothing less than the presentation of utmost professionalism, and Yukari did not so much as leave her bedroom without putting herself together. Every strand of hair neatly laid flat, not a wrinkle to be found in her clothing, lipstick applied painstakingly so that it would neither feather nor fade throughout the day, she was as presentable in her home as she would be in the hospital or at the grocery store or training in the fields. It was not her who led Josuke into the clan compound, but one of the Ajisai looking after a gaggle of children, who politely but warily led the chuunin to Yukari’s front door. A couple of knocks later and Yukari was met with the unfamiliar sensation of being slightly shorter than someone; an experience she almost exclusively had with Tadashi, and which put a bad taste in her mouth. The Ajisai caretaker politely made his exit, children in tow, leaving Yukari in the threshold of her home and Josuke on her doorstep. Her gaze flicked from his shoes to the top of his head as she wracked her memory, trying to put a name to the face in front of her. This was one of Tadashi’s colleagues, if she remembered correctly; since he had rushed Touwa through the academy and forcibly assumed leadership of his genin team, the other team leaders had become a more familiar sight around the village, though she could not for the life of her remember his name. "Yes?” she asked, unerringly polite and yet terminally chilly. "Is there something I can help you with?” If there was something she could help him with, her tone said, there better not be, or he’d better have a damn good reason for it.
