Now this was a bit better for his skills in a mission scenario. Essentially a giant patroll of the mountain ranges around Kumogakure meant he could use his eyes quite easily so long as there were birds nearby. Scouting was such a fun thing that Takame enjoyed doing just being able to see the world around him through the eyes of a bird letting him feel unrestricted unlike he did while in the clan compound. It was nice and was something he wished for almost every day, but couldn't. At least not yet. One day he might be able to, but until he could get help from the Raikage without rousing suspicion then he was trapped. Hopefully, Risi was able to get his message across as it had been a while since he last saw them.[break][break] As for this mission itself though it required him to work with another this time with a shinobi from the land of fire. Which meant some strange person who for all he knew would drag the whole mission down would be assigned to him. This irritated Takame to no end, but he was trying to get better at holding his temper in especially since Azarea's disappearance hoping he could prove he could be a better person for her if she ever did reappear. Waiting at the gates of Kumogakure, not inside the village so they wouldn't need to check in, Takame would await his temporary teammate for this mission in the valley of lightning. ”I can’t believe it!” Shun pinched herself as she neared the walls of Kumogakure. The whole region was impressive. Cloudy, misty even and high up. The altitude made her a little light headed but it wasn’t something she couldn’t handle. Travelling all the way to the Land of Lightning might have seemed tedious to someone else but Shun welcomed the experience. She had wanted to travel and see the world her entire life (even if it was only fifteen years long thus far) and had yet to visit Kumogakure.

The air was thick with antistatic and it felt like a lightning storm was near. The girl couldn’t help but wonder if this was common for them? Forest fires were common for them around Konoha because of the foliage mixed with unforgiving heat during summers. Maybe lightning was common in Kumo? It would make sense but she wouldn’t know, of course.

Having walked into the clouds, literally, the girl would soon start seeing shapes again and presumed she was near the gate where she was supposed to meet her colleague for the day.

The rocky mountainous terrain did remind her of the madness of the meteor missions in hot spring country. While her experiences hadn’t been the most dangerous, there was a time where she was nearly struck by lightning. Hopefully, coming here was not challenging fate too much.

”Umm… Takame? Kyuumu Takame-kun?” she’d ask aloud to the only other person at the gates. Maybe she had come early and would have to wait?

The Nara teenager was dressed in a black tank top, shorts with netting over her left thigh, projectile holster wrap on her right and knee-high dark grey ninja boots. She had her Konoha headband tied in the belt loops of her shorts and was wearing a large open shirt over her outfit that might also be described as a shorter open yukata. It was faded green, had large white hems and a clan logo on her left shoulder. Upon closer inspection, there was a much larger and more detailed logo on her back under her long black hair.

”Nara Shun but you can just call me Shun. I look forward to working with you.” she put her hands on the front of her thighs and gave a polite bow. The girl also noted that her new colleague was about fifteen centimetres shorter than her… she bowed lower…

As his mission partner from Konohagakure would arrive Takame would take note of their young appearance. Most likely a newly graduated academy student or something and probably quite a few years younger than he was. Yet she was taller and this ticked him off as a scowl appeared on his face even more so when she bowed lower because of the height difference. He opened his mouth in instinct to say something rude and cold to the girl when he slapped it over his mouth and practically bit down on his mouth. After a few seconds of trying to push out the toxic energy he normally gave off to people, he took a couple of breaths before collecting himself.[break][break] While his tone remained cold, he did his best to be polite as he responded, "Yes, that is me, and it's...." He paused a bit, trying to hold in his disdain, and added, " A pleasure." Gave a small bow back though not as far as Shun did before quickly straightening himself up. "I'm sure you've been briefed on the mission objective and how we will patrol the area and care for anything that may go down around the village." Takame would put his fingers up to his mouth and whistle as a bird would come flying down and land on his shoulder. He would give it a gentle pat and whisper into its auriculars before it would fly off again. He would then once again direct his attention to his partner and add, "I'm more of a scout myself than combat-orientated so hopefully you have the skills to take care of things if they happen to get rough."
