"Well, if you work around here long enough, you could build up enough trust to get it fixed." He understood what she meant by that, as he glanced over at her, all bundled up with her head against her knees.

"Jeeze. You really are travel sized, aren't you?" He teased, looking down and over at her figure.

"You cold? You can wear my jacket, if you want. We don- I don't really need it." Caught himself again, as he considered taking the jacket he had off. It wasn't anything fancy or special, but if the poor girl was cold... Well...

He wanted to help, if he could. He was quickly falling for this poor little white haired girl.

She leaned against him, pressing against his shoulder. To anyone walking by, they'd look like a couple. It was cute, adorable really. Anyone would find this to be the perfect example of young love.

... Yako, on the other hand, was internally panicking. She actually went through with that? She responded to his flirts... And leaned against him? She was being kind, and soft, and... They were touching shoulders?

His heart was pounding in his chest at a thousand miles per minute, his the blush on his face growing slightly crimson as he watched her simply lean against him. He could feel her skin through her clothes, and she was just as soft as he'd imagined, which was...

Concerning. Alarm bells sounded off in this head. What if this was a trap, you fool? What are you doing getting this close? The beast inside of him had given him this much room, but this? Touching? That was too far. It had to smack him into place.

Unfortunately for it, Yako worshipped his own demons, but he did not blindly follow them. Gently, a hand would move, carefully, behind her back, to try and warm her up a bit more with his arm. It was a simple gesture, but it said a lot.

"Yeah, so would I. You... Darn." He closed his eyes for a moment.

"You've got me blushing here, Suisei." He barely knew this girl. Barely knew anything about her. Think Yako think! Be smart about this.

"Not that I mind, I just..." He shut up like that, and she could tell he didn't want to dig that hole any deeper, as instead he simply enjoyed warming her up, arm wrapped gently around her, though she could just as easily jump up or get away if she wanted to.

Just until... The rain passes. Right. He could accept that. Yako would glance idly towards the side, then back out over the rain. It was a temporary thing. A temporary touching of hearts. He'd be careful with this girl. Careful with... Suisei.

Maybe... Taking this a bit more slowly was the play, as they simply sat there, staring out over the rain together, almost cuddled on the bench with one another. He took out another snack now and then and offered it to her with a smile, as he began to share the truth about his training as well as some other information about him.

Though, inbetween the mundane conversation, he did have some interesting questions.

"What do you do for work?"

"Anything really. Guard cargo, find missing pets. Deliver packages and letters. If villages are willing, I help take on a few jobs." There are a few more gruesome ones, but she figures it best not to go into detail.[break][break]

"Ochazuke with a little bit of salmon and furikake." A wisp of hunger crosses her lips, swept away by the nibble of her poki. "Something nice and warm after a long day."[break][break]

She bats the questions back at him, seeking to receive just as much as she gifts. Save for the next question.[break][break]

"Never quite thought about dating before." She chuckles at just how straightforward it is. "Wouldn't hurt to have someone to travel with. I guess that means applications are still open."[break][break]

Questions given answers, one after the other. Yako rubbed his chin, listening to her carefully. So she did Shinobi missions, much like any other. Very interesting. He smiled softly, continuing to speak to her until they turned to the mention of food.

Ochazuke... He'd never had that. Though, he wouldn't be against trying it. Regardless, he took a bite of the chips he'd now managed to sneak into, running through them with a sigh as he heard of warmth and niceness.

"I'd certainly like something warm and nice myself. Though... Maybe a steak, of some kind... Or..." Meat in general. Chicken. He'd have to get something, after all of this.

As they continued to speak, she put out that she was on the market. The idea sprung to his mind. Traveling with her...

"Maybe one day, I'd explore things myself. For now... There are a lot of things I still need to do here." He frowned. His goals were lofty. He would grow, grow strong. Avenge that which he lost. But..

Rejection was a blow bitter to many. But not so much to Yako. He smirked back at her, flashing those shark like teeth again as he offered her another snack.

"You sure like to mince your words, huh? Nah. I get it. You don't want to put all that effort into an unknown. It's like I said. You're a free spirit, right? You want to travel. Want to adventure. Getting hooked down to some kid you just met on the idea of just... 'Dating'..." He chuckled, as he pulled another chip from his bag.

"I can understand it. You don't gotta make excuses about not wanting to hurt me or needing to leave." He popped the chip in his mouth as he sighed with a shrug.

"I don't think I'd mind either way, but there is one thing you've got wrong." He pointed out, snapping a finger at her.

"I'm not a nice person. Don't get it twisted. I'm nice to you, sure. Because you're cute and you rub me the right way. But one thing you'll learn about me, one way or another?" He wiped his hands of salt as he crossed his arms.

"I'm a monster in more ways than anyone could hope to understand." It was so odd. So out of place. So front and center to say that. But he didn't mind saying it. He was blunt. He was forward. And he didn't toy around.
