Mizuki sighed dramatically, almost rolling their eyes at Toru’s remark. "Fine, fine." Of course, since neither of them were utilizing lightning jutsu they weren’t much of a threat, but Toru could definitely handle himself. With an exaggerated shrug, they turned their attention to the two pirates, barely sparing them a glance as one of them prepared to thrust their spear and the other prepared a stab..

As one spear aimed to sweep their legs out, Mizuki’s body shimmered, dispersing into a cloud of water bubbles that drifted behind the pirate in an instant. The second pirate, still in mid-thrust with his spear, didn’t even have time to register what had happened before Mizuki reformed behind his partner.

With a quick, fluid motion, Mizuki gave the pirate a solid shove, sending him stumbling forward. The pirate’s eyes went wide as he impaled himself on his comrade's spear, the weapon meant for Mizuki now buried deep within the unfortunate man’s chest.

Mizuki sighed again, brushing off their hands. "See? I’ve got it," they said in Toru’s general direction, hopefully not distracting him too much from the stronger pirate he was actually fighting.

Unlike the nonchalant Mizuki, however, the remaining pirate stood frozen in shock, staring wide-eyed at his impaled comrade, blood dripping down the spear still clenched in his trembling hands. His face drained of color as he let out a horrified gasp. "W-What... no! I didn’t—" He stumbled backward, hands shaking as he looked between the corpse and Mizuki, fear overtaking his expression.

Mizuki, wouldn’t rush in to finish the job and would instead apologize. "Sorry about that, it just felt like the best option." Their tone was sincere, kinda. They knew that their job was killing, and they definitely had no problem doing that. They just naturally felt a little bad when their targets weren’t hardened criminals.

NAME: Mizufūsen Nigeru no Jutsu [Water Balloon Dispersal Technique]

CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu

DESCRIPTION:
After using the Hydrification Technique to turn their body to water, the user can split their water form into multiple bubbles. This happens almost instantly making it seem as if the user has transformed directly into bubbles, this jutsu can be used defensively to escape damage. as well as supplementary to travel as the bubbles move at incredible speeds.

Moving at fast speeds while initiating the jutsu causes the wave of water the Hozuki would have become to break off into bubble shape, aided of course by the users chakra control manipulating their own water body. Because of this the bubbles are able to move much faster then the user would have as the user is still using his momentum from the initial first step as well as chakra control to move with a much lighter body causing them to move much faster with a higher degree of maneuverability. Also because the user is in complete control of their water body there is no risk of the bubbles dispersing and if one were to pop it would just turn to water that the Hozuki could then reabsorb.

With his opponent stuck - and Mizuki no longer worrying about him - against the ground by the will of the coral Toru would twist out of the way just enough that the sword of his enemy would come swinging down but this would inherently knock him off balance and throw the man to the ground. Toru would twist his body and the swing of his blade down against the man bringing it down in a clean cleave over his head slicing it clean off, the torso would follow after the head and fall with a slump. It wasn't a pretty sight but it was one that in this case had been necessary... Must have been some sort of straggler from a previous mission he had been on - perhaps he had been a touch too merciful.

While Mizuki dealt with the final man a clapping started to echo through the cove.

"Very well done! Very well done! But now you have to deal with me!"

And before either one of them could see, smell or hear the individual - the true Captain - the cove suddenly flooded with water and would - aside from Mizuki - easily whisk them away out of the cove and towards the open sea. Toru was submerged immediately and taken out having to gain his bearings as he paddled out to the surface with a gasp for air pulling himself out onto the waves as he looked around for both Mizuki and the final target.

"Very well done! Very well done! But now you have to deal with me!"

Mizuki’s eyes narrowed, scanning the darkened cove for any sign of the true captain, who remained unseen even now. The sudden surge of water had come without warning, and only Mizuki had avoided being whisked away like debris. Toru had been pulled under, but soon surfaced outside with a gasp, pulling himself onto the waves to regain his bearings.

As the cove flooded with water, Mizuki's form shimmered once more, effortlessly merging with the rising tide. The panicked pirate who had accidentally impaled his comrade struggled, eyes wide with terror. Sensing his desperation, Mizuki made a quick decision. They merged with the water around the pirate, carrying him in a current that swept him safely toward the open sea. Mizuki, guiding the flow, deposited him outside of the cove, leaving him far from the chaos.

With a fluid motion, Mizuki seemingly reformed on the surface of the water outside the cave, standing tall as rivulets of water trickled down their body. Just as they straightened, they looked around for the captain. Given the fact that he had pushed them out of the cove, Mizuki half expected a sneak attack of some kind, and if they had been watching then they would be well aware that Mizuki could transform into water.

Mizuki would look to Toru, who had pulled himself from the water, "Are you alright Stone Face-san?”

Toru was standing there ready for a greater attack, before Mizuki appeared, it gave him a sense of peace to know that they were still around and had not been swept away by the large current. Though they were a Hozuki there was still a chance - always a chance - to be swept away by a huge wave, fortunately the cove had seemed to help stopper some of the impact. Toru was not any less wet than Mizuki, his clothes totally drenched and heavy against his body.

"I'm alright."

"Are you sure about that?" A voice came from the void and materialized behind Toru grabbing onto the iron clad Mizukage putting a sword to his throat.

It seemed that their Captain was also a Hozuki, but if he were to gauge they were unlikely a Hozuki with Mizuki's level of mastery. Toru did not flinch, the sword against his throat did not rattle him as much as it would someone with plain flesh. A sword would not be able to impale him, especially not one of those caliber.

"What are you going to do, sibling?" The Captain spat out. "I have your leader, and he will die today!"

Toru stared at Mizuki, calm and unflinching hoping to pass that feeling onto them. Slowly his gaze would move to Mizuki's hand indicating towards them about their water bullet technique, it would be ideal here. If it would commit friendly fire.

"Now..."

"What are you suicidal?!" The Captain called out pressing the blade tighter to his skin.

Mizuki’s eyes narrowed as the voice from the void echoed around them, their senses sharpening the moment the captain appeared behind Toru. Seeing the blade pressed to the Mizukage’s throat, Mizuki’s mind raced, but they caught Toru’s calm, unflinching expression and the subtle glance toward their hand. Mizuki understood the signal immediately—a request for the water bullet technique. But the captain was also a Hozuki.

Normally they would have weighed the situation for a split second, but there was just something about Toru that calmed Mizuki. His presence just made Mizuki trust his judgment over their own. The captain’s mastery likely wasn’t on par with their own, but dealing with a Hozuki meant that direct attacks could be tricky.

With a soft exhale, Mizuki lifted their hand quickly, forming the familiar shape of finger guns, their fingers turning blue for a split second before the water bullet blasted towards the enemy, and subsequently Toru.

The captain pressed the blade harder, eyes narrowing, clearly not expecting the Mizukage to be this composed. "What’re you playing at—"

Before the captain could finish his taunt, Mizuki’s fingers twitched, and they fired a precise water bullet—directly at Toru. Mizuki was hoping that they understood the command, otherwise Toru might be getting hit with a water bullet square in the chest if he wasn’t prepared. It likely wouldn’t kill him even if it hit, due to his sheer durability, but it’d definitely put a little egg on Mizuki’s face if he shot the Mizukage.

Whether or not the bullet hit, Mizuki would proclaim, "I hope that’s what you wanted, Stone Face-san!”

NAME: Mizudeppo no jutsu [Water Gun Technique]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Hijutsu
ELEMENT: Water
DESCRIPTION:
The user mimics a fire gun with his hand and, through the Hydrification Technique, compresses a drop of water in their index finger, firing it with tremendous force and speed similar to a gunshot. The technique is able to easily pierce through solid wood and stone but it has trouble actually destroying it. The average range being about 20 meters.

"Just a game." Toru responded to the Captain as the bullet was fired off and flew directly towards both of them. Toru didn't flinch, he just stood there. For the Hozuki to liquify they would have to free Toru and if they wanted to kill Toru they would have to be faster than the bullet. There were several things at play now and the Captain had clearly panicked and tried to slice into Toru's neck which was met with an immediate rebound of his skin rejecting the blade entirely, this allowed Toru to grab the wrist of the Captain and pivot just in time for the bullet to make contact. It hit both Toru and the Captain and sent them flying.

The Captain's flesh was torn into and though they tried to change into water, their powers seemed stunted by the watery blast against their physical form. Toru had grimaced - the bullet had done its painful damage to the Captain, but also had hurt Toru in the process at least in terms of sensation - against the bullet, it felt like it would bruise later but it probably would not.

Like skipping stones he and the Captain hit the waves, painfully several times over until Toru found his footing and released the Captain's wrist sending them flying into the air still bleeding profusely. The Captain landed in the water, stunted slowly becoming water as Hozuki often did when severely hurt. But it seemed to Toru that the Captain had only turned such halfway, and Toru approached with sword in hand to slice the head off for the second time today.

He turned then to face Mizuki who was QUITE far away, to amend this he would body flicker back over to his teammate and nod.

"All finished here, I think we can head home... Unless you're intending to finish off that other pirate you were merciful to." He hoped his 'joke' would land as he teased Mizuki for their mercy in the same way they had teased him.

Mizuki watched with a mix of mild amusement and a tinge of horror as Toru blasted across the water’s surface, his swift, precise movements ending in the captain's swift decapitation. The whole thing left them momentarily stunned. They had basically just shot the Mizukage; and although Toru was unharmed, Mizuki couldn’t shake the feeling they were going to get an earful later if that was in the report they submitted.

By the time Toru flickered back over, the Hozuki’s blood was already dissolving into the waves. Mizuki met his gaze with a grimace, arms crossed, trying to mask their unease with nonchalance.

"Nah, he seemed pretty harmless. We can probably let him go,” they said with a playful shrug, mischief still glinting in their eyes. Their attention flicked to the lone pirate, sprawled out on the beach and likely questioning every life choice that had led him to this moment.

With a grin, Mizuki raised a hand and waved cheerfully in their direction. "Hey!” they called out, their voice easily cutting through the salty air. The pirate, barely managing to lift his head, stared back, wide-eyed and dazed. "Please don’t be bad again, or we’ll actually have to kill you next time.” The way Mizuki delivered the warning, casually playful, was almost comical compared to Toru’s... much more intimidating approach.

The pirate froze, torn between relief and absolute terror, unsure whether to laugh or cry. Mizuki turned back to Toru with a satisfied smile, as if this was all in a day’s work.

"Oh, and when we submit the mission report," they added, glancing at him sheepishly, "could you maybe leave out the part where I shot you?"

Toru was a bit of a stick in the mud the way he turned towards the exhausted pirate on the beach when Mizuki waved at him and threatened him in perhaps the most jolly manner available to two shinobi who had just taken part in a great deal of carnage. As they did so and the pirate looked halfway terrified and halfway ready to pass out, Toru dipped his peach hued sword into the waves, letting the sea clean it of any blood streaks, not wanting it to be rust colored later on. With that taken care of he would very methodically sheathe it at his hip and address Mizuki briefly.

"I'll consider it." Toru quipped in return before his attention turned towards the ship entirely. It was a bit of a distance away with them having disembarked a ways away to not draw too much attention. There was still a bit of mist lingering but it had mostly dissipated from all the sea wind that was almost constant around the coastal areas.

At least it was not too cold here yet, unlike the east where it seemed to almost always be cool to some degree. Toru stretched his limbs then and started to move back towards the ship which would get them home.
