A month into her position and Arashi was starting to feel the heat from most sides. Granted, she was managing it quite well considering. Of course, when there was one fire, there were usually three others in which needed to be addressed. The recent three pronged strike came from an issue regarding clan recognition. With three different Clan Leaders at odds with one another, Arashi would find herself within the middle of it as she began to usher the trio into her office within the Kage Tower. Acting as the head of the Oonakayama Clan, her word held weight, despite her age in comparison to the others three. Still, it was enough that she had brought them in, it was another matter if she could get them to agree to certain terms. "I can see all three sides to this...but also understand that while each of your families are important to Sunagakure and Kaze no Kuni as a whole, one does not hold more impact than the other..." "Easy for you to say such things...your family is considered of higher status..." "I'm also the daughter of two clans...one considered to be of lesser influence..." Narrowing her eyes, Arashi would then place her hands upon her desk as she then spoke firmly. "Regardless...a celebration of one group would show favoritism and it wouldn't be right to just recognize one group in a founding celebration...." As the three heads seemed to lock eyes with each other, Arashi would then move from her desk as she crossed her arms over her chest. "In fact, this may be a matter that should include all the clans as it is through everyone's efforts that we are where we are now..." "Perhaps...but that is a whole other matter..." "Not really...we can set a date in which to gather the heads from each clan here within Sunagakure and address this so that no one is left out unless of their own choosing..." While likely not the verdict they were hoping for, the three were inclined to agree to the matter for the moment, leaving her office as she watched them file out in less high strung positions. Releasing a breath, Arashi would then lean against her wall before placing one hand upon her face as she sat upon her desk.

As such, her defenses are much more adapt and capable of taking on stronger attacks and reinforcing itself at faster speed. This adaptation to the sand shield allows for it's reaction time to have increased and make it more challenging for attacks to connect and break through the first layer, while acting still on the natural inclinations of auto-repairing itself for the next strike.

A small reprieve was certainly welcomed, though it appeared that such a thing would not be possible as yet another knock came to her door, leading to Arashi looking towards it as she adjusted her stance. Upon giving permission to enter, the young woman would be greeted by a swift rush from a small body, along with a hug as she saw the features of her younger brother. "Take! What are you doing here?!" As the boy hugged her, the Kage would then look towards the individual who had requested permission to enter moving after him, a boy as the masked female would then extend a note out towards her. "A message from the Academy ma'am...." With a blank expression, Arashi would take the note before looking over it's contents with a calm expression. Another added thing to her list was that while her father was currently out, she was responsible for Take. It hadn't been a matter that the two had discussed fully to the extent of how long, but considering the boy's age, it would be too dangerous for him to be on such a world venture with their father. So it was safer for him to remain home. Though, this also meant that Arashi was now looking after yet another thing that her father seemed unable to handle. At least for now... Not that it was an issue. After all, compared to her other brother, Take was pretty easy to manage. Or at least, he was normally... "So....Care to explain this?" Holding the note between her fingers, Arashi would then allow the boy to let go of her as he began to speak. "They were picking on me...." "So ya hit em?" "Yea..." Granted, it was a minor offense, but apparently he had not only hit the one who had started the fight, but also went as far as to bite them. Leading to Arashi raising her brow as she waited for him to state the rest. "And I sorta bit them..." "There it is..." Take was now coming on the age of six years old. Granted, it was still young, but academy training or at least, the full version of it, did not start until a student was at the age of eight. Still, he was fully aware that biting was exactly the way to go when expressing themselves. Fighting wasn't either, but she wasn't against him going so far as to defend himself. But she was curious as to what caused him to lash out like that. "What were they sayin?" "That dad is a coward ....and that he isn't coming back..." Arashi would narrow her brow before then kneeling down with a calm expression. As she looked to the side, the young female would then release a breath before shaking her head. "It's been a bit of a rough year huh?" Seeing the boy nod, Arashi would then close her eyes before then flicking him lightly across the surface of his forehead, prompting a pained expression to cross his face before seeing the young female smirk in his direction. "Listen...ya know that dad isn't a coward...and ya know that there are better ways of handling people that say mean things without gettin into a fight...especially one that ends with ya bitin em..."

As the boy rubbed his head, he'd flash a toothy grin before nodding in acknowledgement of what Arashi had said, soon looking towards the door as another figure moved inside. "Lady Rokudaime, we have reports of possible plans of extending into Akuram....we are waiting for a response to this information currently..." Arashi would look towards the individual, stopping short of glancing at Take before then speaking to the man once they came further inside. "Is there any reason to take this information seriously?" "Some skeptical observations of movement, but nothing that can be confirmed..." "Okay then...I'll...." Stopping short of saying something, Arashi would then close her eyes as she nodded. "Tell them to keep me informed and if there is movement, they are to engage and assess the situation personally....Continue recon until then..." As the man bowed, he'd leave and allow Arashi and Takefusa the room once more. "Sounds like its hard being Kazekage..." "A little bit...but I think I just miss not being able to get out and do more...." It was an adjustment for everyone. In most cases, Arashi would have easily went out to see for herself. Now, she had to remember that she had eyes to do that for her and keep her informed. She had more people and resources so that she didn't have to engage unless needed. Truth was though, Arashi was so used to getting involved that it was a hard habit to break. "But....we all have to make changes at times...especially when others are counting on us....right?" Smiling towards her younger sibling, the boy would smile back as he then nodded. "Good...now...no more biting...use ya words...and ya hands only if ya have to...kay?" "Kay..." After saying this, Arashi would then kneel down and hug him gently before rubbing the top of his head. "Go on...I'll see ya later..." Moving towards the door, Take would wave towards his older sister as he departed out of the office, leaving Arashi would then shake her head before glancing over at Nai who was resting in the corner. From there, she'd then make her way back towards her desk, looking at the stack of papers before her as she drew one from the pile and began to read it over.

Though much like the many rampant interruptions that caused much grief, her brief moment of respite was taken just as quickly as it came, soon being prompted to attend a meeting with one of the Ruling Council members. It was hardly a surprise due to her only recently taking the role of Kage, but it felt that there was more meetings with these high level officials than she could recall there ever being with Kiyoshi. Though she imagined it had as much to do with her age as it did with her recent promotion. Still, as she sat across from the man, her hands resting on the table, she'd then raise her brow as he began to speak in regards to events happening across the country. Most of it was day to day concerns, such as water maintenance, farming reports, and recent decisions that were being extended downwards from the Capitol. As listened, the Kage hat would rest upon her head before then releasing a breath before removing it as she set it down before her. "Okay....anything else I should be mindful of?" "As a matter of fact...yes...recently the concern has risen of possible shifts beneath the ground near Sekara...while we imagine that it has little to do with natural causes, we do have mind to suspect that recent purchases from the Capitol could be linked to these developments.." Seeing a scroll being handed towards her, Arashi would examine it with a calm expression. "Most of this is mining equipment....huh...didn't know Sekara had mines..." "With those thieves under watch, its possible that activities have been taken beneath ground...I was told to bring this to your attention Lady Rokudaime...what you believe can be done about it remains up to you..." Thinking on what she had heard about the expansion of territories recently, she began to considered the possibilities. Still, it was speculative at best for the moment. If nothing else, she was at least already ahead of the curve on that front. "I'll keep an ear open..." "Very good.....also....I was told to remind you that a Jounin Hanchou is still needed....We once again offer to send recommendations should you desire them..." "I'm flattered that the Council is so concerned...." Narrowing her eyes, she'd then rebind the parchment before handing it back to it's messenger with a serious expression. "I got it covered though..." Honestly, if she knew one thing, it was to be limited in just how much she allowed influence from the Ruling Council in the goings on with the village and those under her charge. After all, if she was going to have a Hanchou, they had to be someone that she could trust...more than anything else, they couldn't be a "lap dog " for the Council either..."

The long stretch of time The hours seemed to press forward from there, leading into the late afternoon as Arashi was once again within the office of the Kazekage. Her eyes remained trained on the documentation that seemed to grow ever higher, prompting her to sigh before placing one hand beneath her face, the other resting against the piece of paper as she lightly tapped it's edge against it. It was a routine, but it was steady at best. For the most part, it felt as if she were a glorified pencil pusher now. On the other side of this, her decisions were holding the weight of everyone on each order. Still, she found herself taking these moments in stride as she refocused her attention on the task at hand. Time....time was something that continued to flow gently between these moments, and while it seemed like she had an endless amount of it, it was starting to become clear with each day, it was no wonder that such documentation never was truly completed. Splitting time between meetings and handling complaints or clan disputes, it was a matter of balancing it all together. That in mind, Arashi would then see Nai raising up from her place beneath her, the large wolf resting her head upon the young woman's lap before whining softly. "Heh...guess we both could use some air huh?" With a small smile, Arashi would then rise up from her seat, her hands rising over her head before then gesturing towards the canine to follow her as she placed her pen down and moved towards her door. A small break wouldn't hurt, and the warm air would likely be as invigorating as a cold splash of water. Though as the two prepared to take their leave, a voice would call out to her, prompting the young Kage to turn with a small groan.
